It won’t happen, but it would be pretty funny if in the live action HTTYD they abandon the whole “Toothless is the last Night Fury” thing and show some extra furies in the background like it’s no big deal.

Well, there is that kid's book that's a retelling of the first film that has other Night Furies in the background on a couple pages......🤔

But yeah all joking aside I can't see that happening but I agree it would be very funny!

I just read your tag on that Once Upon a Studio gifset. PLEASE tell us who you think was done right and who wasn't!

Definitely might do a longer post at some point!! All the CGI characters were obviously done well because that's just technology lol I think Anastasia and Drizella looked like they were drawn by the Rugrat animators instead of looking like their true movie selves (I can't get into Cinderella bc idk who that is). Stromboli was done surprisingly well though, as was Pinocchio!

If Hordak is going to appear in the new season does that mean we could eventually see She-Ra again? Or is there still some legal issue keeping her separate from He-Man? I'm pretty out of the loop with these things.

YEP. Pretty much.

This is one of the several reasons I don’t care for Dreamworks She-Ra. I think it has wonderful designs, and I really enjoy the diversified body types and the color palette. But the story I couldn’t stand, and it made the lore of She-Ra far less interesting, at least in my opinion.

For one thing. He-Man and She-Ra are twin properties. Literally. They’re twin siblings. Their stories are intertwined. She-Ra was created after He-Man so that there could be a feminine counterpart for all the girls who loved MOTU. I think it’s one of the most genius ideas that anybody at Mattel has ever come up with. (Let’s be real, it was just to sell toys and broaden their demographic, but you get the idea.) But when Dreamworks produced their She-Ra, it severed the possibility of them ever being shown together again, at least until the legal issue is resolved.

I know very little about copyright law, but I do know that Hordak has been a part of MOTU without the inclusion of She-Ra before, and has been featured in stories just on Eternia, with the original cast of MOTU. He was also featured as an important character in the 200x series, without any mention of She-Ra. I think he’s in a weird spot with copyright, because he features heavily in both properties. So MOTU and SPOP being separated for whatever reason is nothing new. Even in the 1987 film, She-Ra was originally meant to appear, but was cut from the script at some point.

At this point it seems silly of me to blame Dreamworks for the properties being separated, but I do really think it was the final nail in the coffin when the show was produced.

All these poor decisions led up to each other, and now we can’t have a story with them working together the way they were meant to be. It just makes me sad and frustrated. Sorry if you were hoping for something more idealistic, but it’s one of my biggest frustrations regarding my most prevalent special interest.

Hi there! A little late in saying this but thanks for the follow. I read your pinned post and I can relate. I used to RP but had to stop because of my busy schedule, and the RP format on tumblr changed in a way I couldn't adapt to. It's nice that you're keeping your characters around! Are you planning to use them for a story? Or just for fun? Either way, I like the concept. They are very charming little blobs <3

Hi! Don't worry about it; I know this is late as well. Hope it's okay if I reply to this publicly.

Glad to know the "getting busy with life and not adapting to the change" thing is normal, too.

I don't want to really say anything concrete about the blobs just yet, though I am keeping them in my mind and frankly miss 'em. I occasionally doodle them, and I am considering doing things further after some current creative endeavors, maybe. I do have a few ideas in that regard. For now, though, trying to learn how to comic overall.

I havent actually posted in forever and 99% of my energy is going to my ocs, so you guys get to have these funky looking “Episode Thumbnails” I made for funsies (click for better quality!!!)

23. Introduce an OC that has changed from your first idea

The first oc that comes to mind has to be Tessa! Originally, she was solely a grumpy and isolated type of archaeologist who was a Ghost|busters oc that really didn't seem like much to me. Though the more I wrote her and came up with ideas, Tess grew to be kinda fandomless and her character/backstory changed immensely to who she is now. When it comes to her now, she has a huge love for the Theory of Atla|ntis and a never ending passion for the life the ocean holds; she and her son Damien team up sometimes on digs as they're both Archaeologists themselves!

31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really)

My LL oc, Akai (or Lucy- her stage name) would probably have a semi-personal type of blog as well as promotions and translations of the songs her group - Unity - Produces! It would very much have a lot of aesthetic to it, with a FAQ and little Easter Eggs hidden everywhere as links.

The layout would be AWFUL.

IDK if you discussed this already, but do you think the next game will have Atreus as the main playable character? Or will they stick with Kratos?

I have not yet discussed this! c:

I remember either reading or hearing somewhere that someone at SMS (I think it was the game director, but don't quote me on that) said that there was no God of War without Kratos. So I think it's safe to say he's probably gonna hang around a bit longer. Personally, I could go without more God of War games, I feel Valhalla was the perfect bookend to Kratos' story (what I REALLY want, is the old games remastered/released for PS5, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that lmao).

If Kratos' story should continue, I could see Atreus playing a part similar to Ragnarök; having the player change between the two with their own style of play/weapons/armor/etc. for certain portions of the game. That or maybe a half DLC that focuses on Atreus for a bit (which I would probably pass on, as Atreus' sections were admittedly my least favorite part of Ragnarök).

Either way, it'll be interesting to see where SMS takes these beloved characters! Maybe revisit in a few years to keep interest and avoid series fatigue c:
