Opinion on retconning Piotr to be younger and having both him & Kitty be gay with comphet?

I mean it would be a nice retcon but im hung up on how regardless of the age gap thing the way piotr treated kitty (comphet or not) whilst they were in a relationship was not okay. I just don't think there is a truly good way to fix the whole kiotr thing and idk if part of me even wants that? like I think their relationship being shitty and toxic is a good thing for kitty to reflect on now in exceptional 🤷‍♀️

Saw some Brazilian Youtubers and one them make a small parody of "if I was Disney exe how I would do the Xman" and MAN...THEIR IDEAS WERE SO GOOOD.

Of course Disney wouldn't ever do half of those things.

But if I could direct the Xmen into the mcu.

I would deff make Kitty my protagonsit.

●She has to be openly Jewish and Bi(and no, enough of making her having queer moments with women she knows since they were kids)

●She is a young adult. 18-20 ish. She is a young genius and a co-worker jelly of her skyrocket sucess...somehow finds out Kitty is sctually a mutant and calls the right authority to take her out.

●Kitty meets the Xmen. She ends up going with them (she does mourn her old life and tries to navigate her new one)

(No Wolverine. And Scott is not here to be the butt of a joke. I saw this bc it is important to adress his role as leader and his relationship. I'm aboard for Scott being autistic and still being "slim")

●She befriends Ororo. Of course. She is in awe at her (we can have Storm giving a bit of her backstory and her role as leader #2 who may be in full use in the next movies....in my lalaland)

●She is afraid of Kurt. Oh bc he looks like a demon? That would be too wasy. I would go a different route. She is not much afraid of him, as she is wary as he is german. The conflict ends up as they sit down and talks and Kurt talks a bit about himself and his past ( He was raised by roma. I would ignore the whole "Amanda and Kurt dated" bc is wierd and goes nowhere and not a fan of his adopted family, roma, being shitty. They dont want to kill Kurt but they are in conflict bc "Steffan did bad stuff but he was our son/bro" which results o Amanda having a cold relationship with him. Ahe uses her magic to help others of her circle but has 0 intention of meeting Kurt)

●No Pheonix. But I'm ok with Hellfire club and Emma trying to poach Kitty...only to be rejected.

● She admires Jean, who is doing her best to help the students in the school.

● They destroy the sentinel. And we see how many goverments say no to.sentinels. which gives a small sense of victory for them.

● A post credit scene where Kitty while doing her parts with friends and such. Sees Jean acting strange and the woman asks for as in an urgent tone and she says "Genosha is in trouble" and ....the movie ends here.

@djinmer4 I mentioned to you long time ago the idea if Zaorva being a patreon for Kitty. The story follows the same bits of 616 more or less (never Kiotr here) except Kitty does understand the horrors (and the cosmic sublime) and is fine...but communicate this to anyone else is impossible.

Zaorva talks about what will happen to Jean. Kitty tries to stop but no one believes at first as you know, the likelihood of you became the emboiment of god is ...slimmer to none. It happens.

On the plus side, Kitty has 100% advantage in Excalibur.

an angle i enjoy in cosmic/eldritch horror is when, instead resorting to the old classic "the horrors being so incomprehensible that they break your brain and drive you mad" cliché, the premise is that in comprehending the horrors you are so changed by the experience that your new state is indistinguishable to an outside observer from madness. you comprehend the unknowable just fine, but actually communicating that to anyone else is impossible because they just don't have the mental framework required to understand it. the eldritch horrors don't drive you mad. what does is the ordinary everyday horror of finding yourself isolated, ridiculed and doubted at every turn, no matter how hard you try to make yourself heard and understood.

Piotr is the one no one has to worry about. He’s made of steel, he’s invulnerable while armored and even when he was flesh and bone, he was difficult to hurt. But, as always, life likes to throw curve balls. Fighting against teammates is nothing new, but a berserker Logan with adamantium claws does damage.

He’s in too much shock to turn back, the steel of his abdomen shredded, showing organs encased in steel. There’s no blood. Which is good considering the number of students that witnessed the display.

“Be careful,” Hank McCoy cautions him as Piotr holds his hand against the hole in his chest. “I think we both know what will happen if you turn back to your human form.”

“Da,” Piotr says with a grimace.

“I think your body will heal itself even like this, but you’ll have to stay in your metal form until we can be sure,” Hank continues. They’ve moved down to the lower level infirmary, away from all of the kids, away from the wrecked lawn, away from Logan, immobilized by one of the younger mutant teams.

Piotr nods and then hears her before he sees her.

“Let me through!”

“I…Dr. McCoy said—“

“I don’t give a damn what Hank said, Josh, let me through or I’ll take you down with my bare hands, kid.”

Hank turns. “Let her through, Joshua. Thank you.”

Kate bursts into the room, looking equal parts weary and furious. “What is wrong with you?”

Piotr raises his eyebrows, though the expression is completely different when his body is made of metal. “I had to protect the school. The students. You.”

“Don’t try to sweet talk me,” Kate says, though her expression softens as she walks closer. She surveys the damage. It looks like a car wreck. She has no idea how they’ll fix him.

“Katen’ka,” he uses her nickname knowing it’ll soften her resolve. “I’m fine.”

She slips her hand into his. It’s always an odd sensation to feel touch through his metal skin. “You don’t look fine, Piotr. You’re ripped apart.” Her eyes move from the mess of his abdomen to his face. “You’re supposed to be the indestructible one. I almost lost you.”

His expression softens as much as it can. “But I’m here.” He squeezes her hand as gently as he dares.

She shakes her head, tears glistening in the corners of her eyes. “Always the gentle giant, aren’t you?” She pushes herself up on her toes and kisses him lightly on oddly warm metal lips.

dickbabs & kiotr are very similarly ships to me in that I find them cute when they're still at the stage where the younger parties (Dick & Kitty) are infatuated with the older ones (Barbara & Piotr), who will occasionally indulge them. But as soon as the affections are mutual & the relationships real, they're just so fucking boring. Terribly, aggressively boring.

and it's not like I have some vendetta against age gap or childhood friends-to-lovers ships either; the former I typically don't care about & the latter I like plenty of times. these two ships just feel so fucking empty sometimes, like they only exist because they're forgone conclusions & not because there's any real passion or chemistry between the characters anymore. they just become stagnant whenever they're forced together again (especially Barbara & Piotr.)

Jean Grey can and would tell you how she was glad Kitty Pryde is gone. She´s not entirely sure why such intense feelings always emerged when  Kitty was around- Dazzler, once and only once, jokingly suggested Jean may be Bi-curious with Kitty Pryde which prompts Jean to agonize late at night over and over-, however, now that Kitty Pryde is gone...there´s no need to worry about the nature of her feelings.

The news about Kitty cheating Piotr is juicy gossip to everyone. No one thought their marriage would last- Ororo was the one who was vexed by the relationship but Piotr assured her, poorly, that it was true love- and no one spare anyone´s feelings regard the fallout of Kiotr.

"I saw her cheating, like, it was really blatantly. How he never noticed?"

"Poor Piotr, he did fall for such type"

"I heard he was pursuing her since she was 13 years old, that´s fuck up"

Jean is the first to say she doesn´t care for Kitty Pryde- her dreams and musings aren´t outstanding-  and even dare to think life will be normal- Logan and Scott are still under her charm and soon enough, Jean can say her life is sweet now.

Jean can also feel dread traveling throughout her body as a new figure approaches the X-mansion. A man with blue fur and golden eyes-actually, only one is gold as the other is crimson- has a gentleman smile even if you can see the fangs.

"Good morning, my name is Kurt Wagner, I heard this is the X-men..." he trails off unsure and Jean flashes her charm smile, time to put a show.

"Of course, we´re the X-men, do you need a place to stay?"

"Well, I´m not sure if I can ask for help, I heard you guys kick out one of your members,"

Jean scowls. "Well, yes, Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat is or better yet, was, a bad element for this school. She cheated on her husband...and we had to get her out," Jean explained annoyed wondering if this man is one of Kitty´s followers.

Kurt opens a big grin on his handsome and blue face. "And you feel no remorse? Good, good, it makes my job here so much easy!" His grin got wide and wider and Jean realizes a bit too late...

There´s no more body anymore, just a floating spiral devouring or causing people´s bodies to be consumed by itself. The sky is no longer blue, just crimson and golden.

Jean can hear laughter.

Jean can see nothing...until nothing devours her.

Kitty takes a few things from this conversation. She´s not normal, her companion did something to the X-men and he´s really a cat person now.

All is well in Kitty´s house if you ignore all logic and common sense. There´s only chaotic energy in Kitty´s life now.

Thinking about some talks I saw with @dannybagpipesarecalling @tieflingteeth why Kitty has a pinup art when by that time she was a minor?

Then it dwells on my how...we could have Kiotr as a HUGE NOTP but without making Piotr a pedo. Ok let me share my vision. In this au, Kitty is a 20 ish woman. She is the youngest Xmen there (until Jubs shows up who has 18 ish) but is still A WOMAN.

But here the kick Kitty being a woman doesnt mean all her problems are solved. In fact, she is brilliant with computers but sucks with people. (Her social interactions were very limited)

Enters Piotr who is a Russian man who wants a nice family and thinks he can achieve this with Kitty, well Baby Yana adored Kitty so much...and with all happened in his life...he wants a family. A conection.

But Kitty and Piotr have 0 things in commom. He is very possessive, controlling even. And we see this NOTP. How Kitty thinks, at first, it is ok to be fighting with her SO ....think the fear she feels is just her being silly.

Eventually the Xmen got wind on how messed up the relationship is. Piotr almost murder a man who was just talking to Kitty...and he didnt stop bc "I have gone too far" or "oh no Kitty is afraid of me". Ita Yana! Her opinion matters a lot.

And it dwells on Kitty how this is messed up.

They break up....and Kitty opts to go to Excalibur.

(I know she goes to Excalibur bc, in canon, Onslaughter happened and the Xmen were mia for a while. But lets assume in thus au it wasnt the case)

Now this could also tied her with Kurt and Amanda relationship. Like, Amanda is ptetty damn toxic and gives 0 fucks about Kurt...Kurt and Kitty can bond over this "we do have shitty exes" and goes from there.

Pitor can be redeemed? In this au he is not a pedo and the xmen give him an ultimate.

Amanda can be redeemed? No. Bc she is a bad person but it is sucks she, as romani, is a horrible person. So...maybe she can be neutral. I do like the idea of her giving 0 fucks for Kurt but still helping others heroes and protecting people.

I thought about this and...I would have liked if marvel had gone to this route...but meh
