Meet Kirami! A dream dragon summoned to accompany and protect a certain Dreampuff, Zodori. Kirami hides her necklace in her fluff when she isn't wearing it, and she is very protective of it given that it acts as the connector between her and Zodori. She usually gets along very well with others given her upbeat attitude. She actively avoids drama and stressful things and can be a bit childish. Overall, she prioritizes her whimsy and the happiness of those around her above all else. Her ambient smell would remind you of fruity cereals. She can walk on all fours or her hind legs depending on how she feels, and sometimes even wears cute outfits and accessories. ALT FORM/PALETTE: A more natural palette featuring browns creams and white. She takes this form when she wants to blend in more, or usually when winter rolls around as it makes her feel warm and cozy. Her ambient smell changes to gingerbread. Favorite/associated aesthetics: Spring, rainbows/rainbowcore, partycore, birthdays, rain, candy/gummies especially, the sky, winter and christmas/holidays, bright colors, bubbles/cleancore, and more traditionally "girly" themes.

i have like three universes of characters that i semi-actively work on, along with like. a collection of fandom ocs (jrwi/prsekai/our girls) and d&d characters :3 however i um. won't bother you about all of them today WHLFKDJSLFK

ANYWAYS. UH. gingerly picks up the yeilan storyline. Hi.

alright so some basic background is that this is a fantasy world with three main types of magic, heavily inspired by logos/pathos/ethos. you can skip to the bolded names if you dont feel like reading my shoddy worldbuilding

logos magic can be picked up by basically anyone; it's the main sponsor of education throughout the continent and once you surpass basic education you can continue to learn magic. it basically goes from lvl twenty (think kindergarten) to lvl zero (masters/phd ish except this level is basically unachievable. like you gotta be built DIFFERENT.). you can pretty much get to level 15 without picking up any of the magic and just getting a decent education out of it.

pathos magic is innate; it's something you're born with or not, usually inherited. specialties range Heavily, but most are related to emotions or the unknown. most lean heavily towards minor healing or fixing, but in rare cases they may relate to emotions, desire, or the future.

ethos magic is rare. it's treated and taught about as if it were innate, but in most cases practitioners have gone through strange means in order to acquire it. it's the only one of the three to actively be "demonized" <- not the term i want to use but the only one i can think of. practitioners are often called tallies, and are often either in positions of power or authority or distinct outcasts. it's the only kind of magic that can cause overload, which can cause uncontrollable magic to leak from a weakened user, with potential to cause deadly damage to them and those around them.

the entire story takes place in the continent of yeilan (hence the name), across a few countries and cities.

ANYWAYS. ON TO. UM. MY ACTUAL OCS. I GUESS.

ria gair-oanixi (she/her) (the last name convention is that you take both parents' names and then pick one once you declare yourself independent) is a twelve-year-old, mixed between wren and spirit heritage. this basically just means that her parents liam (a wren) and tetiana (a spirit) hail from sea-based and plant/nature-based "species" . god okay this tells you NOTHING about her so let me actually do that

she's the youngest of the protagonists !! she's often babied and uses that to her advantage, since she's a lot smarter than she lets on. at the same time - she's still a kid, and definitely shouldn't be taking part of everything, but. well. people who like to play god are funny like that. she's very cheerful and eager to learn, but also has a tendency to fall into the same pattern of mistakes a Lot. the reason she's involved in the first place is because tetiana (her mom) made a deal with an entity known as kirami. she's an ethos magician who specializes in wish magic, but can only grant a person's wish if they're vocalizing their truest desire.

korinth tenria (or just kori) (he/they) is a human, late twenties-ish i think. he's an extremely attuned pathos practicer, and the one who originally collected the group in the first place after a vision where he saw the two others during the end of the world. he isn't really sure if they do anything to prevent it, but hopes that by getting to know them they can at least have others to turn to. they promised to liam to take care of ria, and refuse to break that promise. um. he specializes in sensing emotions with some visions of the future sprinkled in for flavor. he's very well-spoken and cares very deeply about things, usually gets delegated to the position of holding the leashes of the other two despite very much wanting to enable them further.

jieun kast-seretine (any pronouns) has wren heritage. they're a student at the school of magic and are top of their class, currently certified up to level three. she's in her mid-twenties and frighteningly close to complete burnout <3 she's incredibly accomplished for her age though like mad respect. xe're honestly just a silly little guy and i love em dearly <3 ey're currently searching for a way to further innovate standardized magic practices and research in less-explored subjects. massive nerd who adores the little things.

I COULD GO ON. BECAUSE. THERES LIKE A DOZEN MORE CHARACTERS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THIS STORY. like the main reason they think the world is ending is because of two stupid ass people who like to play god - read, kirami and regalium. or how cons fell in love with regalium despite knowing it'd never be reciprocated and now he's their champion, fighting for a god he doesn't even believe in. or how the world starts ending because the sky rips itself apart because of these two idiots trying to play god. a lot of it hinges on kirami and regalium actually . neither of them are really wrong they just have different ideas of what's right.

Series summary: Sailor Moon type past kingdom rebirth of protectors, except Prince Kobara. Prince tries to woo Chiyoko, and win the power of her kingdom, but Chiyoko is just interested in being a normal girl, and protecting the town from Wilding and that danger. Pre-modern cures (early 80’s), and a prequel to Precure Memories.

Series summary: Years after the last fight of the Royale Cures, Suzuki moves to a new school. After an accident with a strange gem she found in part of Steady’s statue, she hunts down her vision and finds herself in the middle of the resurgence of a terrible threat. With a band of allies gathered around her, and powerful abilities, will they find a way to unlock the past and stop Chaos before he sets things in motion that could destroy hope itself? Only time will tell.

Big Band Precure:

“One! Two! Three! Four! Big-Band Pre-cure!” (Big Band Cures play in their own transformations and use music or music themes for all their attacks)

Setsuko/Fret/Cure Tune- Guitar attacks. Lion (from Aoi’s crystal animal) guitar pick. Pocket extendable guitar neck to become guitar to strum. Good with all guitar-like instruments. Big fan of Wild Azure.

Toshiko/Fury/Cure Rock- Drum attacks. Tambourine bracelet (Bracelet turns to tambourine and/or drum to drumkit, and sometimes other percussion). Pen and pencil drumsticks.

Tsuyomi/Forte/Cure Classic(al)- Fan to piano attacks (The fan has a piano key pattern on and separates to make the keyboard, with the side slats becoming the stand)

Shiori/Fandango/Cure Pop- Headphones mic dj deck and voice attacks. Compact halves to headphones or microphone. Clashes a bit with Tune over who has lead vocals. Eventually learns to harmonise, and earns Tunes’ approval to sing lead. Best dancer of the squad.

Timbre: Fairy from the song kingdom hiding out on Earth. Yellow-green fairy with a quaver quiff. Uses her limited amounts of power to help the big band cures, and needs to rest in between. Turns into a keyless music box when asleep. The cures later learn they have to sing the right note to unlock the music box and wake her up again.

Discord- BBEG

Aoi/Cure Gelato as stuck/ mentor (Adult)

Banshee, Howler and Screech (Ellen/Siren, Hummy and Noise respectively.) (As corrupted bbeg generals)

Ballad/Discord- BBEG. Jealous Prince of the song kingdom (Jealous of Major Land and its music). Created the dissonance and seeks discord.

Feedback, Static, Flat, Sharp, and Mute- the other five corrupted Fairy tones (Others at: one caught with Melody and Rhythm each, and the single uncorrupted one with Muse) (monsters)

The Duet of Despair- corrupted Melody and Rhythm (potential)

Series summary: Aoi comes to Kanon town to investigate the apparent disappearance of the Suite team. She discovers a new enemy, Discord, and a powerful dissonance that weakens her transformation and traps her within the town, only to be saved by a new precure. Aoi has to uncover the identities of the new Big Band Precure and help train them to take down Discord, and save the Suite team. (Later on Discord causes a time travel break which allows Aoi to go back and find out what happened, only to learn that the corruption of the fairy tones was corrupting the treble clefs, and Gelato is forced to become the one that seals the team away to be saved in the future.)

All Animals Precure: (can all communicate with their respective animals, or all in Ame’s case)

Ame/Cure Kindness: Doesn’t have magic attacks or finishers. Protective from impact in serious situations-but not sure if luck or actual magic going on as seems happen in human form too (faint heart imprint leftover outline after). Tough cure. FW-type monster judo. Stronk. Can understand all animals if needed. Can whistle to summon a friendly tiger Tora. Sometimes the tiger appears anyway to help while she’s transformed. She keeps having to take it back. Used as a mount. (Ringmaster like outfit. But more Rose bride anthy but with less skirt more coattails)(and red hair)

Minato/Cure Splash (Aquatic themed)(Raincoat top and hat/jellyfish bell skirt/mermaid)

Sayako/Cure Silky (Insect themed)(Silky dress, spider/catepillar vibes/mature/sophisticated dress)

Haruna/Cure Canter (Quadraped themed)(Horse girl x 100)(young adult cure)

Chizuru/Cure Chirp (Avian themed)(Carnival outfit)

Ferren- Ferret-type scout from healing garden. Nothing to do with Tarte or the sweets kingdom despite looking nearly identical.

Sukeru- Pangolin type lead bbeg

Big hearted animal-lover Ame seems to fall into the life of her dreams after her dad gets a big promotion allowing them all to the zoo where he works. There she runs into Ferren, a scout from the Healing Garden searching for an escaped criminal, Sukeru, with a hatred for humans. Stepping in to protect Ferren from the monsters, Ame becomes a precure, and starts on her journey to protect all animals from the dark magic of Sukeru. (Ends up fighting past cures-turned-animal monsters)

So me and my nearly 100K notes doc on my phone for my two interlinked oc cure teams have come up with a joint movie idea I am in love with, and I can't shut up about. Because there is a moment in there including them and the go princess cures, that is incredibly perfect (and gay) for everyone involved, and unfortunately 100 miles away from ever being written properly bc of spoilers and being at the wrong end of my storylines for two lots of cures. But I can show you the notes (wo too many spoilers), so here:

"...They rally, but before they can save the others, the Bbeg turns the castle into an Escher type maze, separating them all.

Suzuki finds herself alone, and starts looking for the others. They are all in similar situations. Kazumi manages to find Chuchuski, but when she tries to join her, she triggers a trap and is hurt, which really upsets Chuchuski. Chuchuski tries to get to her by jumping/swinging, but that's trapped too and she's knocked back. Kazumi is okay, but stuck. Some of the others freeze when they hear the explosions, realising there are traps about. Haruka literally has her foot on one and can't move.

Suzuki's about to stumble straight into a similar trap when the princess saves her. The princess shows her how the whole corridor is trapped. Suzuki is grateful for being rescued. But they seem to be stuck, and she is missing her friends, and her mom, and is very worried about them. Swanny (the princess of the kingdom of dances. Is a dancer, but nv) reveals that her mother has been trapped by the bbeg too. She shows how the castle has its own self defense, the maze, against intruders and enemies. The Bbeg has turned it against them, but any true princess can find their way through. (Suzuki lets Swanny show her memories, and Swanny shows a memory of her mother telling her that any true princess can find their way through if they follow their heart). Minami finds Haruka, and is upset that she's in danger. But is also separated from her by another section of traps.

Somewhere nearby, Towa starts playing her violin. The palace ripples. The precures get a glimpse of the traps between them and their goal, the trapped squares lighting up at the touch of the music. But the traps are almost everywhere, and moving, fast. Most of the cures are dissuaded by the pace, but Chuchuski, Minami, and Swanny step up.

(Chuchuski is a ribbon dancer)

Swan dances through the minefield. As do the other two. Some of the others see them (Ty Escher labyrinth!) and start following suit. Swanny takes Suzumi by the hand and leads her in a dance across. Minami reunites with Haruka, "I guess this makes you my knight," and they dance on. Kirara joins Towa, Kirami leads Fumiko, Chuchuski and Kazumi go together, and Suzume takes charge of Tara, who is uneasy about her own ineptitude with dancing. "So we'll do it the same way we always have: helping each other out."

Some of the different pairs have different styles:

Minami and Haruka: Classic ballroom, the princess and her knight.

Chuchuski and Kazumi: Rumba/ribbon dancing. Soft, flowing. Lots of lifts. Very personal.

Towa and Kirara: Tango (with a violin!) Kirara starts with more of a catwalk style of dance, then literally picks Towa up before they dance across. They're having fun, egging each other on.

Kirami and Fumiko: also a bit more paso, Kirami swirling her skirt and Fumiko using her cape. They've had a lot of conflict between them, but they are more in tune than it might seem. Kirami has a sharp eye for the swirling in the patterns, and how they interlink.

Swanny and Suzuki dance their own flowing dance, almost disappearing in a flurry of magic between them, their own aurora borealis.

They're all dancing in their own style, or the style that speaks most to them. And that makes sure they can all get through safely.

They all come together and synchronise, the magic building up to a head, and ending by breaking back into the main ballroom. The other guests cheer. Bbeg silences them, angry at the levity. It decides it will destroy them. There's a short fight. The cures use a new joint attack in their pairs: Princess ball! Which fends off bbeg's attack. and it's time for the main showdown. "

Precure Memory Royale: An extravaganza of princesses.

Cure Special and her entourage are invited to a ball in the Kingdom of Dances. There they discover the mute princess, Princess Swanny, and a plot to capture the powers of other kingdoms. When the Royales are caught in the trap, it's up to team Memory to save them, with a little help from some familiar faces- The go princess cures!
