For some reason, the dnd:hat movie has been living rent-free in my head for over a week. Xenk is just rattling around in there right now, having a long talk with Kira about morality, mortality, personal sacrifice, and being a child who saw the Beckoning Death unleashed on their home.

I feel like Xenk would have a lot to say that Kira needs to hear, and be a good listener for the things Kira needs to talk about that she can't tell her dad or Holga. He'd probably benefit from talking to her, too. Kira almost experienced the same tragedy he did when he was her age. It would be cathartic for him to help her through that, knowing he helped save her from ever experiencing what he went through

Yknow I think the funniest thing about Kira was how he was so moral BECAUSE he truly believed he had a fallback. He'd been told his whole life that he was destined to be a star player and had people constantly reaffirming his worth. The people who really went for the Blue Lock concept were all nobodies to someone or at some point. They had no reason to protect their team or look out for those around them because either no one ever protected or respected them OR their future wasn't guaranteed. Kira's talent and supporters made him passive and took away his ability to be hungry, to constantly improve, to beat people he knew were statistically "worse" than him.

Reader who puts their hand on Mile's Face and weekly smiles. Not wanting a frown to be the last image of the their lover sees.

"Miles. It's okay." Reader who can bearly speak, the blood is slowly rising, filling their lungs.

Miles who shakes his head, and racks his brain over and over for the exact moment that he could have prevented this, Of every possible way to bring you back, Every possible way that this could be fake, not real. That hopefully he was just dreaming.

"No it's not okay! I can't do this without you- I can't-I can't-" Miles whom Grabs your hands, your hands which are slowly losing warmth. He grips them tighter, trying to preserve the heat for ass long as he can.

Reader, who shakes thier head and keeps that same smile on their face. Never letting it father, no matter how much it hurts.

"Miles, h-honey, you have you-" "no. no- no- no!" "miles- miles please! you have to, please... please."

Miles who grips them tighter, till they can't feel thier hands anymore, but somehow is the only thing they can feel anymore.

"Miles it's okay, I'm a cat remember...? I got nine lives.." they chuckled at their own joke. It wasn't funny, but very bitter.

"And how many lives do you have left...?" He asked, but didn't want to know the real answer.

They smiled bitterly as for the first time, their smile fathered, but just a bit. "One."

Mile's tears feel onto Your face, mixing with yours as you both prolonged the inevitable moment of your last breath.

The truth hurt, you were going to die. And there was nothing either of you could do about it.

Reader, who grabbed miles face once again, to make eye contact. Who was never really good at it.

"Miles, listen to me. Okay? No. Just listen" you spoke in such a serous manner, Miles had no choice but to listen, he had never heard you speak with such tone. He took in every word, for he knew that they were going to be your last.

"For as long as I could remember, it was me and you. When you began a spider, I was right behind you. When your uncle died, I was with you, when we traveled the Multiverse, it was me and you. I love you, so much. So, so so so, much you will never know."

Now it was Their turn to cry, the tears poured heavy like rain fall, they couldn't be stopped. They would never talk to miles again. And it was their worst nightmare.

Miles, who put his hand on top of readers hand, and felt the warmth slowly fade away.

Miles nodes his head along with your words. Taking in every syllable, every pause, every heave, every breath.

Miles who holds you close to his chest, and reader who listens to his quicken heartbeat for comfort.

"Miles, you have to promise me Somthing, okay?" They spoke, with the last breaths they could muster up, as blood began to pool from their mouth.

Miles who nodded his head rapidly, "yes, anything, anything for you."

"Live. Live on. Live on for me. Never stop being, then amazing Spider-Man, everyone knows you are. Change yourself for nobody. And please-" the dark liquid, clogged their throat. But it had to be said.

"What? What-what?" Reader who squeezed Miles hand as tight as they could.

"Remember...you-you can't save everybody."

And as their eyes fluttered, and body shook, they took their last breath. And their body laid unmoving.

Miles. Who stayed there for hours past his mission time and cried, while holding your lifeless body in his arms.

Then miles, who snapped and killed every Villain in sight without remorse, then carried your corpse back to the HQ. Then to your funeral. Where you were finally laid to rest.

It wasn't a dream, and if it was it would be a nightmare. But he would have still settled for that Instead of this. This cold harsh reality.

The cold harsh reality that you were gone. That you were really gone. And he would have to face the multiverse without his partner in crime. Again.

Another trope I really like that I feel is underused is Light struggling with his own darkness. Like,,,, it's there, lurking beneath his Good Boy veneer before something tears a hole in it and lets out the monster. I like it when he embraces the evil, yes, but I also really like when he drowns in it. He's in denial of it, afraid of his own bloodlust and yet still too prideful and full of rage to run from it, so instead he convinces himself that this is what he deserves. He can be evil because those people he's hurting deserve it. He can be evil because he's God and he likes it. He can be evil, as a little treat.

Its that time of the year again when i think about death note series watch fic.

We don't need to use all characters because then reactions just get too much to keep track of. So, our lucky winner is L! He gets the anime in mail and embarks on a journey of enlightenment (pun fully intended).

And why stop at the anime? He gets the manga, the tv series, the musicals too in mail!

it's terrifying to know L could die soon, and that he takes Watari along with him. But since there are so many adaptations of the same story, L thinks the future is malleable. He can change it however he likes. It also, ofc, depends on the AU he is in. Is he in anime-verse? manga-verse? Certainly not TV series, live action or musical verse because L does not look anything like those actors.

L is curious, then scared, and terrified, and most of all fascinated. Because—

There's a person out there in the world who is his match. Who thinks along lines same as him. Who sees him and understands him. Who, even when he sees and has been under all of L's terribleness, respects him.

If there was ever something like soulmates in this world, then L is sure Light Yagami is his.

one of the most important things about kira is despite her reputation throughout the realm of hiraeth as the feared chaos witch is the fact that she forges bonds with the people she meets and actually allows to get to know her.  the infamy of her reputation is usually from knights of the order,   or monarchs who she has intentionally crossed before,   even archmages of mage towers because she threatens their very order and challenges their hierarchy of power as chaos incarnate.

it’s no secret that there are many enemies who would not think twice to take a dagger to her back,  and she believes she has earned their ire.   there are even more who have decided to fear her,   not just because she is the only one who is able to wield the magic of primordial chaos    ( a magic that is not labelled as feared because such a feat was never thought possible )   but because she has shown time and time again that she knows how to use it.    a walking calamity,   they’ve called her.    a title that one can associate with the smirking figure on wanted posters.    but if you asked the smallfolk and passersby,  they’ll remember kira horikoshi more than the chaos witch,  and many will have a kind word towards one of the most feared witches in their history.

the people of her hometown defend her name with every breath because the horikoshi siblings have protected anmatsuri for centuries.   their land is at the very edge of the empire of hazakura,   tasked with killing the abyssal beasts that threaten them during the time when the moon was banished from the sky.   that was a tradition that kira and her brothers upheld even when their parents had passed,  and they were so young still,   taking up a responsibility of not only their family’s legacy,   but the stability of their entire land.   the people of anmatsuri remember her as the little girl who would join her parents and brothers to the town to help them with their tasks,   and now as the witch who had a hand in making sure they had food and stability,  performed shows of magic for children,   who would defend her name even as the order brands her as a maleficar.

kira has done a lot for mages,   especially young ones who’s powers could have harmed them and those around them because they lacked the means to learn from a proper magic institution or were taught to fear or even be ashamed of their innate gifts.   there are many children who would tell stories about the witch in a purple robe who taught them spells when she passed through their town,   who helped calm their nightmares by teaching them how to silence the voices that plagued them.    the witch who banished the fear they harbored towards the lights in their hand by showing them how the stars glittered the same way.   kira who would give them the very staff she carried in her hands as a gift,   patting the top of their head and telling them to use it well.  

regardless of how expensive the artifact was or how important,    she gives it to them in hopes that they will learn magic as much as it can love them.    she was lucky enough to have been born to a family that never once made her fear her magic,    but she knows there are so many kids out there who do,    and she genuinely wants to help them.     how many children who’s education in the isles of lore     ( the best circle of colleges in hiraeth )    was sponsored by her just so they could have a chance.
