There's rumors swirling around that Kirby Planet Robobot is receiving an HD remaster on Nintendo Switch. No idea if that's true, but considering I'm scheduling this ahead of time -- hopefully it's become true in the meantime! It's one of my favorite games ever.

Hooooo boy did this take a while! Also surprisingly not a screenshot redraw! I usually have a lot of trouble with backgrounds but this one. isn't shit. like, the perspective is not even close to what I originally wanted, but with how this turned out I ain't complaining LMAO

(I am also in love with this piece for the sole reason that towards the end it somehow knocked me out of an existential crisis LMAO. No, I have no idea how it did it, but like, I ain't complaining. it deserved that extra poem thing lmaooo)

Four Transformations* have already been decided on (Mouthful Mode, Super Abilities, Metamortex Transformations, Hypernova), next on mod's list of Transformations is the Robobot Armor! (Link to information on the Robobot Armor here!)

Reasons why the Robobot Armor doesn't count as a Copy Ability: Restricted to certain areas in a level/Usually can't be used throughout an entire level, can't be brought to a different level, usually used to progress further into a level (as in, you can't progress without using it), restricts when Kirby can discard the Transformation (only when Kirby finds a docking station or exits the level can Kirby discard the Transformation), can only happen when using an item/food/object found only in certain levels, has its own set of Copy Abilities (Armor Modes), etc.

Feel free to add your thoughts in the asks/replies/reblog if you want! Mod is happy to take suggestions! ^-^

*For these polls, Transformations will be considered anything that acts as a Copy Ability, but functions differently enough that calling it a Copy Ability is debatable, or is something labeled as a Special Ability on the official Kirby Portal website or WiKirby's Copy Ability article/page (As the official Kirby Portal website is only in Japanese, mod placed the link to WiKirby's article/page for it instead of the actual website)

Day 4 of Kirbtober (I forgot to post this on day 4 if any of you were wondering 🥲)

I am thinking of posting some of my older, less recent art, but only what I'm proud of, and so I've decided to share this. (It's Star Dream from Kirby Robobot. I made this quite a long time ago, and it went under some peculiar circumstances as a result of that. I had started making it before I had learned how to better use Krita, the art program I use, and had stopped making it around halfway through, picking it back up more than a year after I had stopped. This means that it has a weird mix of "I don't know what I'm doing", and "I kind of know what I'm doing". Despite the fact that I picked it up later on, I still forgot some details, and it looks slightly off as a result, but at the end of the day it's one of my best digital art pieces.) (I also appear to have lost the original Krita file, and can only find low resolution screenshots of the art, instead of an actual PNG... Sorry about that.) (Side note, made this with a mouse. The shading is awkwardly placed and sparsely utilized as a result.)

True Wisdom is know that Kirby: Planet Robobot references another mecha story, by having the Robobot save Kirby by sending him back home before it shuts down, in much the same way as Baymax at the end of Big Hero Six - which came out two years before the game.
