Kuremi…., fuck them two. I was struggling with a pose- with picking a couple. Garry fucking oak was the runner up. But I bailed for another prompt for my boy Garry. This piece was actually faster than I Imagined (probs because I was tried and wanted to get something out). This piece was straight forward other then the previously mentioned issues and the only other problem was the fucking background like wtf why is it so hard. Thankfully Pinterest carried me and found me some good poses (ikik it's not really playfighting but uhhhhh guys playfighting poses doesn't exist Ig) and my main inspo was Miss Mai (I MISS MAI I LOVE YOU) mid piece but considering the time pretty good 6/10 Black cats

For Kiuri, I wanted to make a comic for my favourite lesbian and her straight crush. “She likes a boy” by Nxdia was on loop during this piece wile I was dying but I wanted to make this piece gay, cute, pink and the panels not scroll made (does that make sense??????) also ist apparently I can’t find (ground??????) kaebeadon so I had to use my big thinker brain. Also I changed Yuri to be Gyaru last minute just because her old hair was so hard to draw like wtffffffff. Uhhhh cute bows and hearts to spruce it up. Yeah I don’t hate it but god I wish I could have thinner line art. 9/10 lesbians

SVEM ENTRY ONE - DESIGN INNOVATION

The history of sports and sports venues have both evolved rapidly, sport itself has gone from just a pass time or a means to keep fit, to an internationally recognised industry.

This evolution also boosted that of the sports venue itself as the sport became more commercialised, and greater crowds began to attend sporting events and matches.

In week two the example we studied was the Colosseum in Rome and how it was basically the pioneer for modern stadia in terms of design and functionality.

It had multiple uses, tiered seating and was built in a “bowl’ shape, all of which are characteristics in modern stadium design, some astounding innovation for the times. (see graphic below).

Upon researching the evolution of design innovation for sports venues I found that from an architectural point of view…

“Stadium evolution was primarily driven by construction techniques and materials but broadened to affect everything connected with performance in sports, standards of play, safety and security, including managing spectator movement and adapting to contemporary means of communication” (Kiuri et al., 2013).

This could easily be related to another example we analysed in class, regarding the Hillsborough Disaster which is a great example of poor design and management of a sports venue, although it paved the way for legislation that ultimately changed sports venue design innovation, forcing sports venues around the world to consider safety and security and spectator movement.

Therefore, space and circulation inside stadiums in the modern era is now an increasingly important technical area in sports venue design (Kiuri & Teller, 2012).

As is the experience of the spectator at modern sports events, for example, from research I’ve done in previous classes I know that AT&T stadium in America brought in a food delivery service inside the stadium!

According to the Dallas Cowboys website, this was a unique design innovation to improve the spectator experience.

“The improvements include personalized QR codes on every seat in the stadium. Fans can use them to have food and drinks delivered to them without having to wait in line.” (Dallas Cowboys staff writers, 2022).

This shows that design innovation for sporting venues has come an astonishingly long way from just being somewhere people could stand and watch a performance to a place people can sit, enjoy some food, drinks and almost any performance sport or otherwise without moving.

Studies have also shown it’ll continue to evolve in the future and even that sporting venues may even face a new competitor in the evolving digital players such as streaming services and VR.

“Stadiums will face increasing competition from home-viewing options with which they have to compete to avoid empty stadiums” (van Heck et al., 2021), (Deloitte, 2018).

This is due to the increasing ability of new digital platforms to recreate the live experience from ‘home’, which is more appealing to the modern masses (Butler, 2017).

Olympic Games legacy.

Is the Olympic games losing its touch? Has the event that captures the imagination of the world once every four years lost some of it’s appeal and are we seeing the starting to see the decline of this great event. All these questioned must be asked when examining the Olympic games legacy.

The games have been one of the biggest sporting events in the world but the legacy of the pinnacle of athletics could be tarnished by the corporate sponsorship and commercialisation of the event. In its purest form the Olympics has portrayed a legacy of clean athletes striving for the very best, gold medals and world records in their chosen event. Every four years the event itself has seemed to get bigger and bigger along with more commercialized.

Furthermore, the cost of the games has increased, Lauermann (2019) highlights that ‘the mega-event industry is increasingly struggling to find cities willing to host. Between 2013 and 2018, 13 cities cancelled their bids to host the Olympics, either in response to negative referenda or aft er political pressure on city leaders.’

This displays how the Olympic games is starting to lose its legacy, with the games being seen as not cost effective to host cities. The once glamorous event, hosted by cities such as Sydney, (figure 1.1) Beijing and London is struggling to attract cities willing to spend the money necessary to continue the quality of the games. This is starting to become a huge issue to the Olympics, in terms of its legacy into the future.

Understandably, the Olympics works on improving its image and legacy, as an event it looks for ways in which it can better run itself, one of these prevalent in the modern day is sustainability. Gulijiazi et al. (2021) contends that ‘Sustainability is now fully integrated into the entire life cycle of the Olympic Games. The planning, preparation, and staging of the Winter Olympics have opportunities to create a sustainable legacy for the host cities for decades’. Kiuri et al. (2013) states that ‘the Olympic stadium can offer new possibilities for its space and its use in relation to the city’.

On the positive side, the Olympics legacy is one that promotes striving for greatness and general better health, fitness, and wellbeing. The cost of Olympic medals is large, but the impact athletes can have on future generations in the space of general health and wellbeing is huge. See an example (figure 1.2) of Cathy Freeman through her foundation, still encouraging heathy behaviour after her inspirational triumph and gold medal in the 2000 Olympics, a legacy such as this is priceless. These are some of the positive impacts the games can have on national and international communities, the question is whether the funding is worth it in the end.

Ultra Deltas spotted!

There have been reports of delta variations of the recently discovered ultra beasts. there have been 3 documented so far, those being: -Delta Guzzlord, a rock-dragon type. this delta has the signature gaping mouth, but it resembles that of a stone golem. -Delta Xurkitree, a grass-electric type. This delta heavily resembles a Kiuri tree, but symmetrical through the middle section. -Delta Celesteela, a fire-steel type. Spotted in a high earth orbit, this celesteela resembles that of the early russian rockets. it weighs more ans is much larger, but it's also faster.

I was actually thinking about doing paper craft for Cyden.....but uh it's fucking 12 am so- Out in nature felt like it was made for them as they're children in labour. But CYRIL'S FUCKING STUPID HAIR MADE ME STRUGGLE- THEN AGAIN I CAN'T DRAW CYRIL WITHOUT THINKING OF GRIFFIN BURNS AND TARTAGGLES. But overall the quicket piece (why is it always the last piece I draw is the quicket) But damn those colours slapped. 8/10 pikmins

I hate drawing comics. This happned with the Kiuri one but that was good, Juliclaude but was words slapped on art. Honey Bat does not escape the curse. The only panels I like are the ones where they say the others name. The colours I struggles, the art and shit I struggled. I hate this jnhbgfghjkl. Apple bloom:era una madrugada tranquila en ponyvill todo parecia tranquilo pero despues ese portal se abrio nosotras nos despertamos al escuchar el ruido pero creo que rarity tenia el sueño bastante pesado y no no esta en la granja pues estaba en una pillamada con sweetie bell nosotras salimos sin permiso y casi todo ponyvill estaba alli de repente de ese portal salio una criatura extraña una pony turquesa empezó a gritar (humanos lo sabia ) pero despues el "humano" la agarró del cuello y la arrojo al portal estábamos muy asustadas tanto que nos quedamos paralizadas los humanos nos tomaron del lomo a las dos y nos arrojaron al portal y aparecimos en una especie de cuarto negro nos levantamos del suelo después de que senos paso el mareo que nos dio aquel paseo por el portal casi bomite pero nos alegro ver a scootaloo a alli después nos metieron a las tres en unas cajas pero no estabamos solas abian cuatro ponys mas entre ellos una su nombre era sinberrysaps (pony embra de melena morada y piel roza) ella era genial depues note que nos subieron a un carruaje muy raro segun escuche se llamaban autos despues sono un rugido y el "auto" abanso no supimos cuantos dias estuvimos alli pues con el movimiento nos mariamos y nos dormiamos varias beses y a beses nos despertabamos de noche cuando llegamos me separaron de mis amigas alli me cortaron la melena me perforaron un papel en la oreja y me pusieron unas especies de alforjas pero en ves de bolsas de tela eran cajas de madera y me pusieron a trabajar era duro pero no todo fue malo alli conoci a spot Sharp el amor de mi vida a pesar de que el era un año mayo que yo y el es muy baleroso con una kiuri marc militar que lo demuestra después de un tiempo ma aprendi los horarios a las 430 am nos levantaban y nos ponían a trabajar a las 8:45 am nos alimentaban con una masa gris con puntitos amarillos y blancos sabía a espuma de colchón pero aun asi la comiamos porque sabíamos que si no nos alimentabamos no desmayariamos y nos matarian una ves una pony se desmayo por no alimentarse bien y ellos la asesinaron golpeandole la cabeza con un martillo y a las 11:30 nos mandaban a dormir en una especie de granero de metal solo había tierra y eno pero era muy poco para aserse una cama o por lo menos una almuada las noches eran frias tanto que algunos dormian amontonados y los dias calurosos y los castigos que daban alli eran peores la mayoria terminaban en la muerte y si una prota adolescente quedaba preñada abortaban o esperaban a que el bebe nasiera y lo vendían todo eso parami fue el comienzo de la esclavitud.

Nagoya

Si buscas barra libre, comida japonesa, nikkei, peruana y un bar Nagoya es. 

Nagoya es asombroso, cuando entras verás una gran escultura de vidrio que va de techo a media altura, además tiene varios ambientes: uno privado, un lounge, el sushi bar, el restaurante y la mezzanine, eso sí el lugar es bastante fancy y es una buena opción cuando quieres tener una cita romántica o algún aniversario o también algo casual para comer makis en la barra.  

Nagoya queda pasando la Universidad de Lima en la Javier Prado, sí yo sé en lo que estás pensando “muchos carros, nunca llegaré”, pero vale la pena comerse todo el tráfico para conocer este lugar ;).

Tiene como platos principales la comida japonesa y platos peruanos, o sea lo mejor de los 2 mundos. Para empezar nos dieron todos los platos fríos de la carta: los sushis, makis y tiraditos, todas creaciones del chef. Definitivamente los tiraditos son mi favorito además que la fusión japonesa/peruana es, creo yo, la mejor fusión en la gastronomía peruana, el tiradito Niponuzukuri: Láminas de pescado de peña, bañadas en salsa ahumada oriental s/. 38  y el Kaoruzukuri: Láminas de atún, bañadas en deliciosa salsa oriental de ostión. s/.42, estuvieron deliciosos; entre sus makis hay una buena propuesta que no tienen nada que envidiar a los otros sushis bar que conocemos, pero uno que me encantó fue el maki Naruto: Kiuri relleno de trucha, palta, langostinos, salsa cítrica oriental s/.23, lo que me encantó de este maki es que era distinto y súper fresco, a veces comer mucho arroz como que te embota y pepino relleno de atún uff. De la comida japonesa nos fuimos yendo a la comida peruana como el ceviche Nagoya, el ceviche de la casa con un ligero sabor a tamarindo, interesante la verdad, en este punto ya estaba llena y los de Nagoya fueron muy amables en querer seguir alimentándonos y nos invitaron un yakimeshi de maríscos S/48, un solterito de pulpo muy interesante: pulpo anticuchero a la parrilla acompañado de solterito S/40 y chita frita, la chita estaba es-pec-ta-cu-lar 100% recomendado.

Aún así reventando a mi siempre me entra el postre (obvio!) y desde que vi la carta ya sabía lo que quería y era la lucha fresca: Panacota de hierba luisa con macerado de frutos rojos s/.25 que estaba deliciosa, me encanta terminar un gran banquete con un postre fresco, aromático y tenía como estos pedacitos de galletita que le daba textura al postre y además también nos recomendaron que probáramos la torta de chocolate de la casa que estaba hecho con el chocolate AMADOR así que lo probamos!, la calidad del chocolate era espectacular, pero no me gustó mucho la textura y es que a mi me encanta la torta de chocolate mojadita y chorreada, la torta de Nagoya es estructurada y sólida, son gustos y colores.

Ah! y para los amantes de los makis en Nagoya ofrecen barra libre s/.58, no digan que no les avise :)

Muchas gracias amigos de Nagoya la pasé súper bien, me encantó el lugar, la arquitectura y por supuesto la comida, definitivamente regresaría.

Martes de Barra Libre en 'Osensei Sushi Bar' a S/. 45.00 Tako Parrillero: Roll relleno de langostinos empanizados, palta y Kiuri, cubierto de láminas de pulpo y chimichurri. Spicy Crab (flambeado): Roll relleno de langostino empanizado y palta, cubierto de pulpa de cangrejo picante flambeado. Jalea Maki: Roll relleno de pescado empanizado y palta, cubierto de chicharrón de calamar en zarza de cebolla e hilos de camote frito.

Día de la Madre: poke bowl, un plato ligero y saludable para engreírla en su día

El poke bowl es un plato de origen hawaiano que incorpora mucho de la gastronomía japonesa. Se trata de una mezcla de pescado crudo, marinado con salsas especiales, arroz japonés y vegetales. Es ideal para prepararlo en el Día de la Madre.

El éxito de este plato reside en la frescura y el valor nutritivo de sus ingredientes que aportan un aproximado de 800 calorías, suficientes para un almuerzo o cena, y una gran alternativa para esta fecha tan especial.

El restaurante Kaikan nos comparte la receta de este delicioso plato, que puede ser perfecto para sorprender a mamá en su día, especialmente para aquellas que cuidan su figura y llevan una alimentación saludable.

Ingredientes

100 gramos de shari (arroz)

70 gramos de salmón

30 gramos de mango

20 gramos de salsa de ajonjolí

20 gramos de betarraga

50 gramos de palta

Cebolla china al gusto

15 gramos de kiuri (pepino japonés)

Brotes de alfalfa

Para el aderezo japonés

225 gramos de vinagre de arroz

225 gramos de vinagre blanco

600 gramos de azúcar

90 gramos de sal

Modo de preparación

Como primer paso, cocina el shari (arroz), el mismo que se usa en la elaboración de los makis. Este arroz es glutinoso y necesita ser cocinado con un poco más de agua.

Una vez que el arroz esté cocido y caliente, incorpora el Su (la mezcla de vinagre de arroz, vinagre blanco, azúcar y sal) para sazonarlo. Este proceso culmina la preparación del Shari.

Tras dejarlo reposar y cuando esté frío, coloca en un bowl una capa del shari y sobre esta, añade los cubos de salmón fresco (previamente marinado en salsa a base de ajonjolí) mango, kiuri, palta, hilos de betarraga, brotes de alfalfa y ajonjolí.
