a comedian i like once said that whenever his friends say or do something questionable, he tells them "that's some pepaw shit" and it almost immediately corrected their behavior. i have started doing this recently and it fucking works.

idk how effective this is outside of rural areas, but it's a great way to bypass tedious discourse in activist circles here. a lot of people with their hearts in the right place will still drop shit like "retarded" or "hairlip" or "well women are at their most fertile in their 20s" and you just hit them with a raised eyebrow and a "that is some pepaw shit you just said" and it solves most problems instantly
