yes i did make a tumblr purely because i did not see enough discussion about the relationship that is fearnechetney yes i did do that. the tag is dry and it bothers me because it’s easily top three favorite dynamics of bells hells for me. 

oh so you have a really gorgeous, mischievous, hundred year old six foot tall faun who likes to steal stuff that is so cool oh and what if i told you that the number one character that is making moves on her is a three foot tall four hundred year old werewolf gnome that makes wooden toys, and WHAT IF i told you that she is totally into it. 

and maybe you’re like oh that’s interesting! okay so what, is it just a joke or something? well, yes at first it is! it’s a game of chicken, of flirting and poking fun at each other hahaha oh WAIT but then it’s MORE.

it’s chetney talking about how much joy it brings him to see people play with his creations, getting to see fearne play with multiple wooden toys he made (dorian’s ship, her wolf, her dolls). it’s chetney being the one to first find out fearne’s postcards aren’t real, and gently asking her questions about them instead of giving it to her bluntly, because it would have hurt her to know the truth. it’s chetney using CLOTH to make fearne little dolls for her to use to vent her frustration. chetney reminding fearne to ask morri about her parents, because it had been bothering her so much.

it’s fearne telling chetney the wooden wolf is maybe her favorite thing she owns, when she has so many things. it’s fearne trusting chetney with the one thing her parents left her, letting him hold it and inspect it. it’s fearne reassuring chetney after he wolfed out that they all had problems. it’s fearne gripping onto the net that chetney is trapped in, holding on and defending him from the hunter. and when she casts stoneskin, which only requires touch, she chooses to kiss him.

a lot of people have insinuated that fearnechetney is one sided, or just a joke, or anything but a romance, but i disagree. i think it started as a joke for sure, but as the episodes progress, it feels more and more like these two characters really care about each other, and understand each other. and the idea that the ship is one sided is so strange to me, because fearne has actively flirted back with chetney since the beginning. fearne got up at 3 AM to wait outside his door, fearne chose to kiss him to cast stoneshape, and fearne was the one that held onto the net and told the hunter to fuck off. i think writing off their dynamic/relationship as a joke just because you don’t ship it does both characters a big disservice when we talk about their growth and how they’ve come to care about one another.

Noah, Aspen & Juni aren't getting out of the house.. 🙈 SORRY! Aspen and Juni get caught out in the summerhouse before Noah even knows what's going on, then he'd quickly get overpowered 'cause he's weak n' kinda useless physically lmao OOPS

similarly, Alton ain't getting far.. he's SO outta shape and easily flustered and Sid's gonna do her best to get em out but he ultimately falls behind n' "heroically" just tells her to GO!

Wyatt probably does alright for himself in the beginning.. and let's be self-indulgent and say he finds Brynn HEUEHU, i can see him wriggling his way to the top of some survivor group only to be killed by his own "people" for being a dickhead in the end LOL 😂 no doubt Brynn would be part of an outcast group who'd leave once he was dead but i doubt they'd get far...

Sid ends up with Oscar n' co who all managed to get out okay in the beginning (let's pretend the twins don't exist yet because i CANNOT) they're all doing good for a while until Cookie gets bit.. Oscar can't finish her off so Tilda has to do it for him 😩

Oscar's next to get got.. he probably would'a been fine if Cookie made it but he's wracked with guilt n shit so probably does smth idiotic and reckless, only making up for his stupidity at the very end by at least saving Robin before being eaten alive.

Robin, Sid n' Tilda tag along with Brivan who're doing pretty great but Ivan disappears on a scavenging mission and never returns 😭

Tilda gets sick and there's not much Sid can do without any proper medication, Robin (like 12 or smth by now) goes on a mission with Bruno to find some supplies.. they get overrun and Robin escapes at the last minute but they return empty handed and Tilda kicks the bucket 💀

Robin, Bruno and Sid are the last one's standing.. Bruno's got the brawn (not without intelligence tho) Sid's got the brains and the medical knowledge and Robin's the lithe/quick one, sick with a crossbow and with extra powers to boot 🤭

i was gonna dress everyone up n' do fun shit but then i got bored so all you get is a lazy zombie apocalypse Robin instead lmao...

Thanksgiving headcanon

Alex - the perfect day to toss the gridball around with all his cousins. Wrestling in the leaves. Grass stains. Turkey legs. Crisp fall air. Grandma's famous pumpkin pie.

Abigail - gets up at the crack of dawn to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade. Still is giddy over the floats. Loves the musical renditions. Wishes she could be there in person.

Elliott - a little unusual for Thanksgiving but cranberry sauce and stuffed lobster is his go-to dish. A walk on the beach contemplating what he is thankful for. Bringing apple cobbler to Leah. Don't worry. Willy made it.

Emily - knits socks for everyone she knows with little fall leaves. Makes everyone wear "I am Grateful" tee shirts. Rolls her own dough for apple pie.

Harvey- a hot meal, a day off, a good book, a cup of coffee, plaid house Slippers.

Haley - planning her route for Black Friday shopping. Renting a car so she doesn't have to take the bus. Eww. Leaving Thanksgiving night and staying at a hotel near her mall destination in Zuzu. Checking her list twice to make sure she doesn't forget gifts for anyone.

Claire - a day off from Joja. Sleeps till 1pm. Microwaves some turkey and stuffing. Plops down to watch the dog show.

Olivia - all about presentation. Cornocopia centerpiece. Fall mums on the porch. Perfect magazine masterpiece dinner made by private chef. Candles everywhere.

Magnus - what day is it? A little dazed from staying up late the night before reading ancient tomes. Thankful he isn't invited to Thanksgiving dinner at Marnie's.

Shane - turkey is okay. Chicken? Never! Spends the morning tossing chicken feed, playing tag with Jas, snuggling Charlie.

Manages to make do with what she has on hand at the trailer. Hot turkey sandwiches, instant mashed potatoes, and canned cranberries. Pumpkin cookies were also on sale.

Sebastian - a day of online gaming with friends (getting annoyed at his sister's and Sam's leaf pile mess, laughing and joining the fun), and inevitably writing his Christmas wish list because his mom will be begging for it.

Victor - visiting his bio dad overseas. They don't celebrate Thanksgiving. Running through McD's for a pumpkin shake. Something to remind him of home. He's grateful for the time spent with his father.

Sophia - picking the perfect holiday wine. Making butternut squash soup and cranberry brioche. Spending too much time looking at catalogues, wishing she had more money for presents this year. Doing some house cleaning since she has the time.

Are you named after anyone?

Uh...no? I mean, after the element, yeah. Somebody noticed a tint of purple in my eye and decided to call me that. Strange name, isn't it?

When was the last time you cried?

I think when I graduated high school, just because I was going to miss everybody and that we're all going our separate ways. Don't tell anybody, could you promise me that?

Do you have kids?

Don't you think it's a bit odd of you to ask that?

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

More often than you think. :)

What's the first thing you notice about people?

I don't know how, or why, but the first thing I notice is if somebody wants something from me. The people in my family are a bit closed off, and so I expect something which says, "we're here to get you for something". And it's usually bad.

What's your eye colour?

Purple, with a little bit of hazel intermingled with the, I guess? Or is it vice versa? I don't really know, but they're multifaceted. I know, right? It really depends on where the light hits.

Scary movies or happy endings?

Give me all the scary movies! But nothing related to gore and what not. Just ones which like to trick your mind a little bit.

Any special talents?

I can make a good falafel. And can beat somebody in chess while under the influence. And know when a bomb is about to go off and how to detonate them. I also have a few more, but that's not suitable for work here.

Where were you born?

I was always in Seattle; I was born in the South Lake Union neighborhood, then moved the University District a few years ago.

Do you have any pets?

Does a pet boy count? (laughs)

What sort of sports do you play?

I'm sorry, but I don't really do sports. I tried doing volleyball in high school and got cut within a week. It's not like that they needed me anyways...

That said, I enjoy racing with my scooter, though that's a bit hard to do these days. The streets could get quite slick in the winter!

How tall are you?

About 5'7''.

What was your favorite subject in school?

Drama, because we got to learn about stagecraft and do improv games and the like. I never saw it as a potential career route, but I always found a happy place reading scripts and trying to audition for plays. It's a little spring of joy.

What is your dream job?

I thought of becoming a librarian; I like books and I like helping people out with finding something. Though i want to do something which challenges my mind--nothing related to drugs, of course!

FrostBite is heavily inspired by the game FrostPunk, where you run a town in a post-apocalyptic never ending blizzard.

this au is based around that.

it's naturally very dark and the very first thing you read in the first chapter is: "The cold shows no mercy. The cold does not discriminate between sinners and saints- It will take all. Consume everything in it's path, a neverending game of cat and mouse which the world continually loses. The cold will always win."

Davey, our protagonist has to learn this the hard way. The first thing after that lovely little snippet being Esther passing in his arms- But I won't get too into that.

In a last ditch attempt to run away from his deceased parents, he drags his sisters to find a new place to call home. The shack having their parents bodies and a perpetual state of agonizing fear permanently tagged to the home.

After months, David finds what he had only heard of in passing- The world.

a pre-fall location (a large, enclosed football field. those ones with the big walls? yeah) turned into a bustling town, notoriously safe and hard to get into as a resident. David, viewing this as a challenge, decides to try his luck.

Upon some strange miracle, or maybe pity from the "council", the Jacobs are reluctantly allowed inside. it was... warm... er. warmer. a thin sheet of permafrost clinging to what looked like green plastic floors.

assigned an all-too-tired 'tourguide' named morris, the reader and the Jacobs begin meeting the bizzare people of this strange town.

its insanely dark and extremely sad, and multiple do die/get severely injured as well as deep rooted c-ptsd in davey- so this will not be for the faint of heart. however, I will be posting a little tldr when I finish the whole series (I'm aimiing for 50k words in an unknown amount of chapters before I round off the fic!)

The Lady opens her eyes again, and leans down towards me. “Is that all, [Name]?” I blink in surprise, momentarily taken aback. “Forgive me, My Lady, but what do you mean? That was three thousand souls and an architect of war!” The Lady nods, slowly. “And so it was. You have done well, [Name].” She reaches down, holding out her hand for me to perch. I hesitate, but after a moment step onto her hand. It does not do well to refuse the Lady of Ravens in anything.

Ok I realized i never made a quick intro page for Sawyer Lonsdale (one of Mia’s old friends from SHIELD ACADEMY) so here we go.

Sawyer Lonsdale

- Sawyer Lonsdale. He’s cute, charming and sneakily weird at what he does for a living. Once he friends with you, he will bring you into his group of games. A VERY BAD influence depending on who he is with, he will take you drinking, smoking, partying and show you a good time where you forget who your real friends are. Most importantly, your responsibility!

- He was a street kid in the same boat as the others until he brought in by Nick Wider, to do something more one night while he was a train station. Become a better man (sorta). He got to study at SHIELD ACADEMY. He study and trained alongside by the one and one Nick Wilder and Grant Ward. The one person who taught him to keep a low cover when needed. Meeting Amelia Morris-Parker along the way and creating a small pack between them.

- After two years he was dropped out of SHIELD Academy, for drinking and partying too hard. However he developed his spy skills over the years, going on simple to crazy missions that meant stealing and bringing in rewards, keeping tags on everyone and everything.

- Sawyer tends to work with people from The Black Market, recommending recruiters, system workshops, thieves and others to get the job done. Even though Amelia hated it with a burning passion, she respected his efforts, though he was skilled at what he does and knew if she ever needed anything he was the guy to call ;).

- Travels around the world a lot for missions or just vacation purposes (sometimes you need a break). A bit of a daredevil and having fun, eventually getting into trouble back at HQ.

- Speaking of Sawyer and his travels, he was always welcome to take on any place that involves a nice view and a cool breeze. With meant he bumped into SHIELD, MIF and CIA agents (most importantly SHIELD agents, which always meant business)…

—For Example, During Early Years Of SHIELD-

Sawyer would walk into a black tie event with an ear piece and grabbing a glass from champagne, quickly recognizing his friends from far away. “May I ask why a single lady like you is doing here all alone?” He would say with a smirk.

Amelia would turn around playing into her role for her very own mission saying, “I’m not alone I-“ she pause recognizing who it was then signs smirking, “-I’m with a friend. What are you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing, beautiful. But by the looks of it, your not just here to party but to achieve a certain level of weaponry.”

“Before it falls into the wrong hands and bombs a city, yes. You’re not getting it. I need it back in a safe house for it be monitor.”

He sighs, “Of course you do. Well i need to give it a broker for inspection, for giving it a loyal customer of mine. But! I would make an few adjustments.”

“I don’t know…however I am listening…”

“Dance and then we will talk?” He expended his hand with a grin and pulled her onto the dance floor, as the two would chat about a plotting agreement.

Over the years, as much as Sawyer was a good influence on Amelia such as helped her, being by her side in missions weather they liked it or not, and watching over her…he did have his faults.

- Due to his attitude and training, he kept tags on people, sneaking around, finding information if he wanted to on people, never listening and decided to have fun instead while drinking on the job...hangovers for days.

It does not take me long to find Magnolia Boulevard, counting street signs as I step among the bustling nighttime crowd. The sky peeking between the spires and skyscrapers is streaked with peach and rosy lavender, dusk descending to darkness crowned by diamond night and dazzling light. A horn blares from the busying street as I turn a corner, the sight of the Glavenisean Theater seated at the end of Magnolia Boulevard meeting me like a golden throne, a more opulent seat than any giant king or lord of men could ask for.

🎭 TEAR 🎭

The musicians are moving about in the pit, flipping their sheet music and gathering their instruments as they slip through a side door beneath the stage. I tear my gaze away from them to look up the great height of the curtains, towering like velvet skyscrapers laden with tassels and gold thread. For a moment, my heart beats in my mouth, and I crane my neck further, staring up at the ceiling and blinking at the opulently dark painted garden there.

🎭 THANK 🎭

“Seonghwa,” the chorus girl says, wiggling out through the crowd. She is clad in a tulle dress, cream skirts flouncing out from her tiny waist as pearls bud at her ears and around her small ivory neck. “The Hortenzie canapés are here, and the little cakes from Buona Tarta. Are you coming inside?”

“We’ll be in soon, thank you, Yeseul,” Seonghwa replies, and the girl beams at him as though she’s swallowed the sun. Ribbons drape down from her hair as she spins away, and Seonghwa heaves an exhilarated sort of sigh, cinching Travis with an arm around his waist.

🎭 TIE 🎭

A kind of delirium wrinkles over me as the party balloons, my tie and topmost buttons loosening amid the steamy heat. I don’t know what time it is, how late into the evening the hours have stretched. Seonghwa and Travis reappear among the spilled shots, a bouquet dripping in Seonghwa’s arms that I’m sure has been lifted from an empty vase somewhere.

🎭 TREE 🎭

I take a drink from my glass, the alcohol bubbling and searing a little down my throat. Another child rushes past me, and I follow their tracks to the woman I spied earlier at the door. Her chestnut hair is buoyed up into an elegant pouf on her head, stray strands flouncing down around her face, still wearing an exasperated expression as she corralls the children around her, a group of four that must be no more than six or seven years old.

“Sam,” the woman says, tugging on the arm of a girl, “Samantha. Don’t go running off, you all have work to do.”

“I know, I know, Amanda. The house is empty, we can go!”

“Can I have a candy?” one of the smaller ones asks, a fistful of the woman’s dress in their hand.

“When you’re done,” the woman says, rubbing a hand at the back of the girl’s curls, her tone stern still. “Where is Winnie?”

“She was in the house,” Sam says, tugging against Amanda’s grip like a doll. “She’s probably under the seats already.”

“Fine, fine,” Amanda says, relinquishing her hold. “Go on, gather up the programs. Make sure Winnie doesn’t fall asleep again. She’s impossible to find in that place after hours.”

The children disperse from her like birds taking flight from a tree, darting together around the legs of the adults and out of sight. I watch Amanda palm at her collar, the look of a tired chaperone worn over her, before she too disappears through a back door, skirting a group of chorus girls still in their finale ribbons and tulle, only their slippers shed to stockinged feet.

Heads Up Seven Up

Thank you for tagging me @memento-morri-writes! For this tag game, I need to post the last 7 lines I wrote, so here they are!

“Let’s take a break,” Corduff suggested, stealing over to the sidewalk between two vendors to sit down. He didn’t ask her to sit down with him, he didn’t yell at her or tell her she was wrong, just sat there calmly. 

Awen moved towards him carefully, she didn’t sit, but she did stand nearby. She put her back against the vendor cart and her arms across her chest. She felt at the spores along the street, the people pushing through the air as they went about their day.

Kind of a boring scene but to me, it's essential to establish trust between Awen and Corduff multiple times. And she is not used to this kind of patience. It's not that her grandfather was mean but he was often impatient and never understood her cautious nature the way Corduff does.
