These features are a part of the artwork. If you change these features (acne, belly fat, body hair, etc) then that is not fixing it.

This also brings into question the morality of "fixing art". In my opinion, using the art as a reference or drawing another artist's OC is perfectly fine as long as proper credit and consent is given. Also if the person posts their artwork to ask for feedback, then telling them what you think they should fix to help them be a better artist is a good thing.

But Koopaleen here just redraws the art in her style and calls it the "better version". The artist learns NOTHING. They just get to sit and watch her make "Smeggsy" jokes the entire time while Kooleen gets all the compliments and praise for "fixing" an artwork that probably wasn't even broken. Not to mention the cruel clickbaity titles like "Fixing your Ugly art" or "You Should Quit" that just reinforce the whole "My art is better than yours." thing. There's also the racism controversy thing which i don't wanna go into. I don't really like Koolen, she is a talented artist and all but she just gives off really pretentious vibes.

I like the original artpeice. The shading and colours are well done, the acne is a unique trait, and it is overall pretty expressive.

this makes me so mad because the art on the left looks so full of personality and the coloring style is fun and unique then this fucking lady transforms it into one of those really offputting uncanny valley kpop fanart looking styles with the unnervingly smooth painting and personalityless lineart... god help us all

i cannot stress how much fifth element was intrinsic to my childhood and my adulthood. little light of love koolen and mina hinoo have been in my spotify top 100 for almost 5 years. "chicken good" is used almost any time chicken is consumed and verbally agreed upon as Good. my boyf consistently says "GIMME DA HEAT MAN" when turning up the thermostat or trying to get hot water from the tap or "not one not two not three but FOUR! FOUR STONES!" when counting or specifically the number 4 is uttered. his ringtone is the supreme being musical sting in my phone. "negative i am a meat popsicle" is used anytime someone gets chilled from being outside in weather colder than -20 celsius. my father bought the entire khaled album that had alech taadi on it. i learned the segment of Lucia di Lammermoor plavalaguna sings and it was part of how i learned to sing from the diaphragm. how did no one catch that we were all autistic.
