6-Rintamalotta

Tää on vaan niin erinomanen shotti ja suren joka kerta menetetyn potentiaalin takia sen nähdessäni :/

demon head x tuntematon sotilas (+ viehe)

harvemmin tulee mitään tekstipostauksia tehtyä, mutta nyt on sen verran ravisteleva juttu että pakko jakaa. @karivuoto:n ideasta inspiroituneena perkasin läpi demon headin tuotannon ja sovitin sitä tuntemattomaan ja samalla meidän omiin poikiin viertoon ja hellströmiin (viehe, helvi).

omat lempilapseni 2 ensimmäistä albumia kävin läpi tarkemmin, mutta 3. ja 4. oli hankalempia koska a) hellfire ocean voidiin ei löydy lyriikoita ja b) viscera on jääny vähemmälle kuuntelulle tyylinsä takia. singleistä rivers of mars ja the resistance poimin vaan ensimmäisen, koska se on paljon tutumpi. kappaleet etenee järjestyksessä myös niillä albumeilla, joista en ottanu mukaan jokaista.

vaikka demon headin sanotuksissa on paljon okkultismiteemaa, niin iso osa tuotannosta on silti tosi osuvaa koska liikutaan pohjoisissa metsissä kuoleman rajamailla ja kohdataan/koetaan selittämättömiä asioita, yleensä hirveyksiä.

mainittakoon myös, että musiikkia on kuunneltu nimenomaan tuntematon ja viehe etusijalla, eikä kappaleita ole kytketty todellisiin jatkosodan tapahtumiin (vaikka vääjäämättähän siinä miljöössä liikutaan... silti keskiössä on fiktiiviset henkilöt, niiden ympärille rakentuvat tapahtumat ja näistä heräävät ajatukset sekä tunteet. joita on paljon)

Mikko Kotilainen

He was initially created as a love interest for @rmilkies’s character Luis, and is not a member of the Gunners. He has no specific faction affiliations, mostly because he grew up in Vault 81 - not seeing much of the actual Wasteland until his mid-teens.

(In non-Fallout canon, his family is filthy rich, but this just doesn’t factor in to the Fallout story as much)

More character info below the cut

Mikko grew up in Vault 81, and quickly grew frustrated with the claustrophobic quarters and mundane, unchanging life. He was born with a fierce sense of adventure, and has very little fear (largely due to not having any fearful experiences - he frequently underestimates how dangerous or risky something might be).

(age 15) He encounters Luis (+Vince) when they come to trade at the vault, and he’s immediately fascinated by both Luis being a ghoul and his career as a mercenary. He pesters Luis every visit, begging to tag along, but Luis firmly refuses. Eventually Mikko manages to sneak out and follow them long enough that it would be a genuine hassle to take him back to the vault, so Luis begrudgingly agrees to let him accompany them for a bit.

Luis assumes Mikko will get a small taste of the Wasteland and immediately run back to the comfort of the vault, but unfortunately for him the opposite happens - Mikko loves the open space and the freedom to explore, and is even fascinated by some of the gruesomeness. He doesn’t shy away from sleeping in uncomfortable places or eating weird food, and ends up being fairly decent with a shotgun at close range.

Despite growing up in a vault, Mikko has a lengthy repertoire of sexual experience, and often shocks Luis with innuendos or blatant advances. Luis initially keeps him at arm’s length, using Mikko’s age as the main reason, but after a couple years of their travels he finds that he’s grown quite fond of Mikko despite himself.

It goes without saying that Mikko does not return to the vault.

Traits/Behaviors

Naive about most of the dangers in the Wasteland (he’s learned about them, of course, but encountering them in person is very different)

He’s not stupid enough to purposely put his life at risk, but he does worry Luis with some of his impromptu stunts that somehow don’t get him killed

Luis genuinely wonders how Mikko hasn’t died yet, and when he expresses this Mikko just replies that he’s “lucky”

Not lying, his luck is 10. While he doesn’t go without a few injuries, he somehow comes out of any situation largely unharmed, and often manages to talk his way out of things without much effort

The kind of luck that is almost painfully convenient and cliché, like “oh no the door is locked” - *trips and lands on the floor where he happens to glance under the table* “oh, here’s the key!” (It baffles Luis, who typically has rotten luck, but he figures Mikko’s good fortune at least balances them out somehow)

He is very tall (6’2” by age 17) - it was kind of done on purpose because Luis is only 5’6” and I think it’s funny when the top is shorter than the bottom

Largely due to being a horny teenager, he makes passes at Luis a lot (Luis initially declines, but is still impressed with Mikko’s apparent determination)

As time passes, the blatant sexual comments and flirts largely subside, as Mikko becomes more comfortable with Luis and genuinely enjoys his company (becoming more than just ‘hot ghoul merc’ to him)

Despite the sexual experience, he’s never had a serious relationship of any sort and has no idea how to go about such. To him, sex is how you show a person you like them, and he’s never had much trouble convincing anyone to sleep with him. He is initially baffled by Luis’ rejection because it makes him wonder what he’s ‘doing wrong’.

In the vault, he was rarely interested in fooling around with guys his own age, and a few wives were more than displeased to find out their middle-aged husbands had been bedded by a teenage twink

He also sees sex as a form of currency, and isn’t above giving a bj for a favor

He didn’t really have friends in the vault - he got along with most people, but never clicked with anybody in a significant way

Can come across as childish and immature, but no more than you’d expect of someone his age who was raised in a vault.

He’s able to pick up most things quite easily, and makes an effort to be well-informed about new things he comes across. Luis is frequently surprised to find that Mikko has learned some new random skill from a book he found

Has difficulty facing or expressing negative emotions, and maintains a facade of happiness even when he’s not feeling it. Brushes off certain things that happen as not very serious, even if they affected him greatly

It makes him nervous when people around him are sad or angry, and he’ll usually attempt (sometimes awkward) humor in hopes of fixing the mood

Is really excited to get to try chems (Luis and Vince argue on whether they should let him, with Luis eventually giving in since it’s not like he’s the guy’s father)

Charisma is not as high as luck, but still decent (7), and when he’s not making out-of-place comments or jokes (often sexual) he comes across as a perfectly normal and polite young man

Doesn’t have much of a filter though, and is largely ignorant to what constitutes ‘TMI’

Surprises Luis with how willing he is to use violence if there’s no other solution - his first kill is a raider that attacks them, and when Luis asks how he feels about taking a life, Mikko simply shrugs and responds ‘dude was trying to kill us’

While he doesn’t tend to feel guilty about killing random strangers in self-defense, he eventually becomes somewhat sober over all of the unnecessary bloodshed and violence they encounter

He’s genuinely horrified at some of the conditions he discovers people living in, and has disgust for anyone who abuses their power or thinks they are more deserving than others. Is frequently indignant about the injustices he sees that were never an issue in the vault (and Luis just shakes his head, because he grew up in a literal brothel in New Vegas and was already aware of these things by age 4)

He released in 1977 for Love Records the album Ajatuslapsi, an excursion into Tangerine Dream/Klaus Schulze type of electronic ambient (the album's public premiere took place at the Tampere Planetarium in February 1977) and was the keyboardist for the later incarnation of Wigwam, among all.
