#krane's army
Text
More Lab Rats Headcanons
Other than S-1 & S-3, all of Krane's army were genetically engineered and held in artificial wombs until they were about five years old.
Because genetic engineering is very messy, all the bionic kids have health issues and birth defects that get worse as they grow older. Adam, Bree, Chase, and Daniel are better off because Douglas is very skilled, but Krane's army... not so much. Plus, since I also headcanon that Douglas is abc&d's biological egg donor and that mental illness/neurodivergency runs in the Davenport family, that adds to the problem.
However, Krane was a terrible person, so any bionic child with a condition that left them unable to fight was killed off. Because of this (and because of other deaths), there are what are referred to as "The Lost", those missing numbers such as S-2.
Adam's vision gets worse and worse as time goes on. Using his lazers exacerbates the issue. He gets huge glasses that allow him to see a bit better and Logan, Leo, & Taylor personally beat up anyone who mocks him for it. Taylor helps him navigate the world as a blind person.
Adam also develops joint pain, memory issues, and anxiety/PTSD. The memory issues aren't too severe, he's had them all his life (ADHD), but they do worsen dramatically as he reaches old age. The PTSD & anxiety both really freak him out, because he's so used to being the strong, unbothered one.
Because of all these issues, he eventually gets a service dog.
Bree has hyperflexibility and an extremely fast metabolism, both of which cause her a ton of problems such as joint pain, fatigue, and the occasional migraine.
Chase has chronic back pain, and he develops asthma in his late 30s/40s, all of which eventually make him unable to go on missions. He also has an overactive immune system which leads to problems like allergies, hashimoto's disease, arthritis, etc.
Chase might struggle with type II bipolar disorder, though he doesn't realize it until he's well into his 20s.
EDIT: I'd like to add that Chase, and probably others whose bionics affect their brain chemistry, might have/develop epilepsy (epilepsy is caused by the misfiring of electrical impulses in the brain, Chase has a shitton of wires shoved in there, it makes sense).
Daniel is the worst off. His body has to be able to accommodate a wide range of abilities at a moment's notice, & it takes a huge strain on his systems. He was born HoH, and once his bionics are activated his immune system, metabolism, and joints are soonafter shot to hell. He probably has his "favorite" powers that he sticks to which would influence his issues, so it's difficult to say what he'd struggle with exactly.
The bionic academy has classes for the blind and deaf as well as ASL lessons because there is such a large population of Blind & Deaf/HoH individuals.
Because Taylor, Sebastian, and Leo weren't genetically engineered to handle their bionics, they take a bigger toll on their systems. For example, they have to rest after using their bionics, for much longer than the other students do, and they also glitch quite a bit even if they use their capsules.
On that note, Taylor & Sebastian's bionics are similar to Leo's in that they're essentially fancy prosthetics. Unlike Leo, they have a chip, but it acts as a controller for said prosthetics (so that the Triton app could control them).

With my triton app marcus hc (theory?) I was thinking it was like... Marcus being given a list of chores telepathically with the app, which he had no reason to disobey, and I think Douglas used it to directly feed lines to Marcus to say to the Davenports on occasion.
I never meant for it to come across like Marcus was 100% machine with no emotion. If he was under the triton app, that doesn't mean he's not still him. We saw with Krane's soldiers that even people under the Triton can still have their own unique personalities.
hfdkjafh just wanted to clarify this <3
OKAY BUT SAME Like I don't think the Triton App was being used on Marcus in the same sense as how it would be used later on Adam, Bree and Chase. Like I said in the tags, I like to think of it as Triton being like... the backbone to his programming ('Cause y'know. Again, android) and some remote commands. But just putting an android under Triton full-stop wouldn't be very convincing, I bet, given how uncanny the Rats acted
The whole feeding lines thing actually fits in really well too- Douglas actually talked to Adam and Bree while they were under Triton, so him doing the same for Marcus on occasion would make sense. Douglas absolutely told Marcus "Listen. My brother's a tool, you gotta be a suck-up. I cannot stress this enough"
ALSO I just... really love seeing the alternate interpretations this fandom has. I've reblogged various things that don't specifically fit with my own hcs 'cause some folks are just really creative ideas. Full-Triton Marcus is very angsty so it's a fun what-if :>

S-3 (Sebastian): I could kill all of Douglas Davenport’s children easily.
S-1 (Taylor): (Nonchalantly pointing) look a moth
S-3 (Sebastian): WHERE WHERE AHHHHH

I'm interested in hearing more about villain Chase 👀
So there are like two ways that this could possibly go.
1. Alternative ending to Avalanche (my absolute favorite lab rats episode), which he actually does join Douglas
His train of thought is pretty much that if they think he’s useless to see what they can do against him.
Douglas and him are constantly outsassing each other
The lab explosion still happens because they would both be evil little shits
Instead of the triton app in season 3 it’s Chases override app
His style starts to have a bit more of a Douglas influence (aka more bracelets and nail polish lmao)
Doesn’t go as crazy with the bionic implants as krane does but is constantly trying to optimize his bionics (so he gets some of the face wires but in like a cool way not a ugly way if that makes sense)
The bionic island still happens because krane is kinda acting on his own with the whole bionic army thing (don’t ask about the logistics it makes sense)
Chase and Sebastian villain power couple (please don’t ask I just know this in my soul)
Elite force is specifically made because chase and Douglas are targeting superheroes because they find them inferior to bionics
He is unhinged as hell
Option 2: elite force betrayal
Everything is normal up until the couple first episodes of elite force
Chase is acting kinda strange, more cold and sarcastic than usual
Then boom epic betrayal after the episode where there’s the list of how powerful the members are (this would come earlier on the series)
Elite force pivots from trying to do whatever they were doing (because mm getting destroyed was cheap and I hated it) to stopping chase
Adam and Leo are brought back to help, Douglas and some of the older students stay back on the island
Do you remember that one episode with the virus where they were all gonna die? This time it’s an EF episode where Chase remotely puts it onto their chips because he wants to get rid of them without physically having to see them get hurt
Again, unhinged as hell
Works with supervillains to get his goals achieved (begrudgingly)
Honestly kinda mad scientist energy ngl
He is dark as hell like he’ll torture people and shit (more emotionally cold and logical)
Cool villain outfit
Possible redemption?

I’m back with my elite force rewrite notes and references! This time more focused in on the supporting cast
Tumblr media
Starting with Adam!! He misses his siblings and has to deal with all the added pressure of being mission leader + running the academy as a base of operations for the students
Tumblr media
Next is Leo, I was thinking how if one of the bionic users had to get superpowers aswell I’d want it to be Leo since he only has a bionic arm and leg, so here we are
Tumblr media
Marcus! Everything I write he has to be alive and good in it. He’s my emotional support bastard what can I say. Of the supporting cast his was made first because I play favourites
Tumblr media
Daniel!! Don’t ask where the prosthetic leg headcannon came from, because I have no clue. But it’s here and also I’ve changed his origins so instead of being just randomly smacked into the plot, he was part of Kranes bionic army and after Douglas recognised him it revealed that all the soldiers are random kidnapped teens and kicks off a whole amnesia plot in lab rats season 4
Tumblr media
I’m still working on his disability aids and how to get them completely accurate but all the issues he has are staying. I want the elite force to come together as a group to defeat the shapeshifters so Reece’s attack still happens and Douglas is majorly fucked up after it. He’s still functionally the same character as in personality wise but I wanted to make the shapeshifters clearly a threat and since Douglas was attacked in cannon decided to go after him in my rewrite.
Tumblr media
Bridgette. Mr Terror. The big bad of my rewrite. She’s functionally batshit insane after dying to the arcturian. Only reason Might Med is still around because as she puts it ‘it’s a wedding gift to my finance’. I wanted to keep her in the wedding dress so badly

The Secret Good Last Season of Lab Rats!!!
hiiiii I have not posted to this blog in over four years, but I NEED to share that I had a Lab Rats dream last night in which the Secret Good Fourth Season was finally released from the disney vault --- an entire season of Lab Rats that was written, shot, edited, and then hidden for decades in favor of the disastrous Bionic Island.... but justice was served at last, and the Secret Good Fourth Season premiered on Disney+ in March of 2023. Here is what we got:
- A really cool secret part of the original lab is revealed behind a hidden panel, saved from Douglas’s explosion by a bulletproof shell. Here, we find that Donald has shoved in storage a whole bunch of childhood memorabilia from the ABC kids, leading to a memorable Childhood Flashback Episode in the old lab, ending with a present-day twist when Leo finds SOMETHING SECRET (I forgot this part, sorry, but I promise it was a super epic game-changing secret)
- Bree comes out as a lesbian very early in the season and has a whole falling-in-love and dating arc with a non-bionic Aussie girl who encourages her to follow her dreams of global travel/adventure. They kiss in the series finale, obvi
- Leo gets his own two-parter episode mid-way through, very “Zuko Alone,” in which he’s stranded in the middle of nowhere on a mission due to Mishaps and must find his own way back to safety, discovering both his inner strengths as a leader and a new bionic ability in his arm along the way (echolocation!)
- The main season villain is an AI robot created by Davenport to take over his role as leader/mentor in the Lab Rats team so he can retire early (bc he’s still a lil selfish prick, apparently). At first, the kids all like this robot way more because it’s actually really supportive and encouraging of their dreams outside of mission work (oof), but things change midway through when Leo’s mid-season stranding SUSPICIOUSLY should have been prevented by the robot’s sensors but wasn’t. Things culminate closer to the finale when the robot takes it upon itself to remove all four kids’ bionics after identifying them as THE problem to them finding happiness. In a very weird pre-finale episode, the kids struggle with wondering if this is indeed a good thing since they can follow their dreams now, but they eventually resolve to beat the robot after learning that it will do the same thing to all the bionic kids from Krane’s army who’ve been trying to lead normal lives in Mission Creek with different foster families (yeah, this is basically the first time they’re featured all season after only occasionally showing up for a background gag here and there...). Basically, the moral lesson here is consent: it wasn’t right for them to be made bionic as kids without their consent, but it’s also not ok for the bionics to be suddenly taken away without consent. With Douglas’s and Donald’s and Tasha’s help, they have to beat the villain WITHOUT powers, win, and get to make their own choice about whether or not to take their bionics back afterwards. Bree chooses to take her chip back but uses it travel with her girlfriend for a few years (maybe doing some good along the way but mostly taking time for herself), Adam and Leo both choose to take them back and keep doing missions but with Leo fulfilling the role of Mission Leader after a whole season of developing as an A+ planner/leader, and Chase --- in a beautiful culmination of season-long character development --- chooses to shelve his chip indefinitely to pursue his dream of being a lawyer with only hard work and the intellect of his own natural mind to get there. Oh, and they all get sincere apologies from Douglas and Donald........... THE END
(ok, that last paragraph in the dream was literally just rObOT vILLaiN, but I improved it)

A guide to the villains:
to make it a bit easier to understand the dynamics in my writings, both in power and personal
Lab Rats Villains: Giselle and Krane might be the most officially allied, but neither trusts the other in the slightest. Both have contingency plans for the other and are plotting downfalls, should the slightest sign of betrayal come about. Their partnership is of convenience, not trust. Also, Sebastian and Marcus hate each other lmao. They only put up w the other because of their fierce loyalty to their proverbial creators. Giselle eventually discovered Bridget Hunslet's identity. Mr. Terror was both amused and impressed by their little group, and extended her invitation
Rodissius: He rules his home with an iron fist. Mr. Terror saw the rage within him at the loss of his powers and hatred of both supers and normos, and invited him and his children to join her cause
Mr. Terror: Every last one of the above mentioned are completely terrified of her (pun intended) She has both Experion and Scarlet's loyalty (will be elaborated on in the future) which definitely adds to the fear factor. Except she's totally in Mighty Max. Yup.
Least to Most Powerful:
Rodissius: He's got a physically strong stature in my design and is definitely skilled from his hero days. The chokehold he has on his veritable army is formidable. But at the end of the day, he's a regular normo now (and weakening with each passing day (will be elaborated on later #2))
Giselle: She's a super genius, manipulative, calculating, and highly skilled in combat, given she held her own against Bree. That and she has a torrent of androids at her disposal and Marcus's unflinching loyalty. However, she is simply a normo as well, and despite her brain being dangerous as it is, when it comes to most of the others, she wouldn't be able to dent much.
Sebastian: Giselle granted him new bionics. He has his soldier training and is obviously very skilled, but he wouldn't hold a candle to the next listed.
Shapeshifters: Wide range of powers, incredible skill because of training since birth for one purpose, and there are thirteen of them. The black swarm ability is also pretty op, on top of all the other assets. The main thing to hold them back more than anything is their loyalty to Rodissius and fear of his retribution toward them.
Marcus: He has all of ABC's bionics and then some. Not to mention as an android, he tires far slower and is largely unaffected by any injury. The problem with him mirrors the shifters'. He's blindly loyal to a woman who doesn't genuinely care for him (my Giselle is a sociopath with a sprinkle of psychosis). He definitely couldn't take all thirteen shifters, not when a five-person team, two bionic, two heroes powered by the arcturion, and a Calderan couldn't. But he would probably manage to defeat one or two at a time. Same with Sebastian, depending on which shifter. A lot of the younger ones they could take down. Roman, Riker, and the Spider-Legs girl (2nd oldest) they couldn't beat, most likely. Reese and another yet to be revealed are the only exception to younger shifters that could take them.
Krane: He's hard to place. I could easily switch him with the next listed. Powerhouse is the only descriptor. He's probably the most formidable in the Lab Rats show. I think he could take half the shifters at a time with relative ease, despite the setbacks from his injuries. He stands way above Marcus and Sebastian as well.
Scarlet and Experion: Calderans are op. That's it lol. I can't decide which among them is more powerful. Scarlet stayed on her warrior-gladiator world and gained experience that way (she has a much different backstory bc the EF one sucks. Also I wanted to give Sky a personal rival bc Experion is shared between her and Kaz) but Experion has hero experience. Both are master manipulators, and fully powered, unlike Skylar. I don't know if Krane could take two Calderan soldiers.
Mr. Terror: Girlboss Extrodinare. She's rich, has an empire, and hundreds of lackeys beneath her. Not to mention full loyalty of two Calderans. Even without all of that, she could most definitely defeat any before. And they know it. She has a quiet power over the rest in their partnership, and all of them fear her greatly. She's highly intelligent and motivated, a scary combination. The unspoken leader: whatever she orders goes. The only one ballsy enough to make a contingency plan for her is Giselle, and she hasn't found anything to be of possible use. Bridget has her own plans for each of them, and every move she makes has extreme intention (peep the chessboard. Not just symbolic)
anywhoozle, there ya go :)

TWOF Overview
Okay, so since I've kinda been hyper-focusing on Angels and Demons for a while, I think it's about time I just let this whole thing out.
TWOF stands for 'The World of Fantasia', which is the crossover AU I've been working on for years. It tells the story of Alex Blackwood and Cassie Springfield, two teenage girls who travel to the the fantasy world (named Fantasia), and find out that they're destined to get rid of an evil as old as time itself.
In this post, I'll be going through the synopsis of each book and a basic plot of what the girls go through. I don't have the whole series figured out quite yet, but I'm getting there! I'll also put parenthesis beside each title to give you an idea of who they meet along the way.
(This is long so I'll put it under a cut)
Book 1: The Journey Begins (first trip in Fantasia) Alex Blackwood and Cassie Springfield's world is about to change. When an old friend of the girls' gives them a treasured storybook, they have no idea they’re about to enter a land beyond all imagining: Fantasia, where mythical creatures live separated from the humans, yearning to be reunited. But as Alex and Cassie soon discover, the stories of creatures they know and love aren't as they seem in this magical land—there's more than one god, Drachenfels is a kingdom of dragons, and they have a guardian angel! The girls want to get back home. But with a legendary prophecy to fulfill and entire legions of monsters on their trail, will they ever find their way?
Book 2: The Wrath of Krane (second trip) After decades of hiding, the evil that has haunted Fantasia for centuries is back with a vengeance—but not without help. Alex Blackwood and Cassie Springfield have not been back to the magical world of Fantasia since their adventures in The Journey Begins ended. But one night, they learn that an evil dragon has kidnapped Alex's mother! Against the will of their godfather Yinlong, the girls must and their own way into Fantasia to rescue Mrs. Blackwood and save Fantasia from the greatest threat it's ever faced.
Book 3: The Blazing Light (Lion King) Cassie Springfield thinks her fantasy adventures are behind her—until she discovers a mysterious clue left by the famous Dante Alighieri. With help from her classmate Audrey and Yinlong's sister Yue, Cassie sets off on a mission across Italy to crack the seven-hundred-year-old of the spirit world. Meanwhile, Alex Blackwood is training to become the next Protector of Fantasia…but her attempts at being a leader don't go as she planned. Will she ever be truly ready to lead the Mystic Council? When all signs point to disaster for Fantasia, Cassie and Alex must join forces with their friends and enemies to save the day. But nothing can prepare them for the coming battle…or for the secret that will change the girls' lives forever.
Book 4: The Great Unknown (HTTYD, LEGO Elves, Undertale, Warrior Cats) This is just the beginning. Scarface and his army are on the loose in Fantasia, and it’s up to Alex and Cassie to stop him…except Alex has been thrown off the Council, and no one will believe they’re in danger. With only the help of the ragtag group of Snow, Jake, Nikko, Ruby, Drago, and Majikku, the girls discover one of Fantasia's biggest mysteries: on the other side of a massive mountain range is a land filled with wonders, but Scarface is there, planning recruiting an army of Fantasia’s greatest evils! So begins a race through the wondrous Underground, the fantastical Forest of the Clans, the vast kingdom of Draconia, and beyond. Can Alex and Cassie catch up to Scarface, or will they be one step behind until it’s too late?
Book 5: Beyond the Mainland (Cuphead, BATIM) Scarface has captured all the royal families from Fantasia with the help of his army of villains. With his sinister plan finally in motion, he is eager to destroy the families and take his place as emperor. Alex and Cassie know they are no match against Scarface’s legion of monsters, but they realize that they may be in possession of the greatest weapon of all: a place beyond the Mainland! So begins the girls' journey across the sea to Inkwell Isles to gather an army of demons, object-people, and ink-monsters as they band together for the ultimate fight against Scarface. Meanwhile, an even more dangerous plan is brewing—one that could change the fates of both mythics and humans forever.
Book 6: Battle for the Afterlife (Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss/SCP Foundation) After allying themselves with the Devil himself, the archangel Raphael comes down to assist them on their journey, and brings them all to Heaven to ask for help from the gods. However, not all goes as planned, as a traitor lurks among the clouds and pearly gates. A wicked demons sends Alex and Cassie away from Fantasia into alternate universes. Alex awakes in a facility filled with cryptids and monsters; Cassie wakes in a version of Hell and is surrounded by sinners and imps, battling horned angels who are bent on eradicating all of Hell. Can the girls navigate through these strange worlds and find a way back to each other before it's too late?
Book 7: ???

yo okay wait what if Krane invested stock, primarily in davenport industries and that's how he's rich. So in a really fucked up way Douglas is slaving away for money he probably thinks is rightfully his, but because he was dumped by his brother it isn't. Krane holds it over him like, "You could've funded yourself with this kind of money if you weren't so pathetic." or something evil like that idk I'm just riffing right now
Wait okay that's actually hilarious. It's a perfectly sensible explanation but also the idea of Krane just being some guy who invested in stock is genuinely funny
Douglas whining about how Krane didn't DO anything to earn that money and how it's ESSENTIALLY Douglas's money only for Krane to smugly shut him down every time with "And yet, here we are"

you ever think about how s-1 and most likely the entire bionic army by extension calls krane mr. krane just like how ab&c almost exclusively refer to donald as mr. davenport because I Do.

Harper Colman
Lab Rats OC
(I'll likely post a real drawing of her in a few weeks but I wanted to get this out quickly)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Harper was Douglass' attempt to install bionics into an already developed human (the first 4 were given their bionics as babies). Douglas found her living on the streets and took her in, in exchange for being his test subject. Harper, desperate and young, only 10 at the time, agreed.
While the chip successfully fused with Harper's nervous system, she was unable to fully control her power and would glitch often. Over the years Douglas would try fixing this issue but was unsuccessful.
While living with Douglas, Harper began to form a connection with his newly built android Marcus. The two formed a close bond spending all their time together.
When Douglass sent Marcus to school to trick the Davenports, he kept Harper at the Lair. Because she couldn't control her power she was a liability to his plan.
After Marcus revealed his bionics to Leo, Douglas sent Harper to his business partner Krane. He believed that their operation was at risk and Harper was a danger to their security due to her glitches.
Unknown to him however Krane immediately took control of Harper using the Triton App to add to his army. While her glitches were still an issue Krane believed her power far outweighed the risk. under the Triton App her bionics were under better control though not perfect.
Bionic abilities
Sonic scream
Manipulate sound waves (weak unless it was glitching)
Geo leap (given when in Kranes army)
Cryokinesis (unlocked after the vanishing)
Harper is stubborn but caring, strong in her beliefs. She keeps those she cares for close and will do everything she can to protect them. However her hard headedness and strong will make her appear bossy at times. Despite this she isn't opposed to a little mischief now and again.
