Autistic in a factory

Factory work pros: regular breaks, same schedule every weekday, weekends off, coworkers that care more if you get the job done than how weird you are, repetitive work that is easy to stay focused on

Id say its a doozy. The only con can easily be circumvented. Id say its only truly bad if its too hot or cold, or if something is spilled and causes a bad smell, but neither of those are often.

#Cyborg has been many things over the years... He’s been a football player, computer whiz, Teen Titan and has moved up to being the “disfigured guy” in the #JusticeLeague. Now I’m only mentioning this because when he was with the Titans, he was considered the happy, energetic, constant moral compass. In the JL, he’s the somber, extremely self-reflective and “speak when spoken to” kinda guy. Is this because writers use him as a plot device too often and refuse to let him have a personality, they want the cast to be “diverse” and include him or... all of the above? #Sickburn... no pun intended. P.S. I love the character of Cyborg and wish that he was given more a chance to HAVE a personality, just like the other JLers. In the top photo is sea glass culled from the beaches of Corpus Christi, Texas. Good sea glass is rounded and or has soft edges as well as an etched body. The above examples were gathered by yours truly and I added copper wire. I used Krazy Glue and on the painted piece, I used Testors Enamel Paints. 

The bottom photo is an example of what you can buy at Hobby Lobby. It’s tumbled glass. Tumbling glass is a process you can do with a rock tumbler or better yet, a cement mixer. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the rock tumbler but the cement mixer seems to do a more consistent job. And no, you do not have to buy a mixer, you can rent them for a day or two. Or better yet, go in on one with your arty friends. Everyone will benefit!

On Instructables.com they have a 5 step recipe for making fake sea glass in a cement mixer.

I really don’t mind using either the real deal or the tumbled glass. There really is no right or wrong. I do, however, want people to label their crafts correctly. If you’re using tumbled glass, do not call it sea glass. If you don’t go to the beach and go hunting for it, you’re not using sea glass in your art. 

There are some good fakes out on the interwebs, so be careful. If you can ask the seller where he/she hunted their glass, do it. If they came by it honestly, they won’t mind telling you. Although...some sea glass hunters keep their haunts pretty close to the chest. They don’t want anyone horning in on their finds. So 6 of one, half dozen of the other.

I may or may not have KrazyGlued a door to the doorstop behind it, which is screwed into the floor. This open door could possibly keep the air conditioner running all weekend & freeze out everyone in this office today.

I also have a good slice of onion (from my tuna sandwich) which I believe would slide perfectly out of sight beneath, say, a supervisor's filing cabinet.

i use eye drops to help me wake up in the morning (it helps sleepy eyes and i highly recommend it if you’re not a morning person), but it only just now dawned on me that ive had a bottle of krazyglue on my night stand right next to it and has probably been there for over 4+ weeks, so pretty much every morning since has been a 50/50 game of russian roullette and ive won each time
