Important!! My commissions are almost opened back up. :) Consider this one as a bit of a test-run. However, I'll only be offering illustration, doodle page, and banner commissions in the meantime, as I've also been working on stickers to sell on Redbubble (as well as getting to some asks I have neglected a little too long)... Holy shit wait wait

Everyone in the main Fun Gang has (at least kind of) devil imagery.

Kris has the red horns and eyes and the mischief and the fact that Spade King calls them Light Bringer which is the translation of Lucifer who is The Devil from The Bible.

Susie is draconic (dragons and devils tend to be correlated, with a lot of demons and devils having dragon parts), she is the only one who can wield the Devilsknife, she's aggressive and at first outright antagonistic which is another kind of devilish thing, and she has a healthy disrespect for authority.

Ralsei has... Horns. I guess. His dialogue if you equip the Jevilstail to him being "I'm a good devil!" is a little funky like dude you're the least obviously evil one here you don't need to tell me that. He's got some illusions and hiding your true form going on. He's a goat, and those are usually demonic, and he's kind of witchy (the hat and the cauldron mostly) which is also sort of devil-related. I'll admit I'm pulling at straws here, he's the least devil-related, but we do know the least about him out of all of them.

And then there's Noelle. Who's an angel. Clearly. Without any subtlety, she's an angel. White robes, blonde hair, literally referred to as "angel" by certain characters on the Weird Route, which is a weird time for that.

out of all the annoyances of Nutdealer misgenderings, applying he/him to Chara and Kris is wild? Not only are both names, like feminine, but also they have both only been identified as they/them very clearly.

Both Dreemurr humans were around the societies that used they/them for them for years. If Frisk’s pronouns were any/any, then that might make sense, who knows. But the bizarre pattern of making the Dreemurr humans boys while having Frisk be female is really weird! Again, ��Kris” and “Chara” are both girl names irl, while Frisk straight up isn’t a name.

The only fanwork I’ve encountered that decided that “yeah Frisk should be a guy and Chara should be a girl” (neither of which are canon (actually Frisk might be a he/they, who knows)!) was a Deltarune character swap AU thing where it turned out that they were Kris’s parents but Frisk murdered Chara and so the Dreemurs adopted Kris. They still made Kris a guy, though.

Anyways this just lead me to think that the infamous Deltarune fanfic Umriss should have bent Kris’ gender femwards rather than malewards, especially since the author didn’t even have the decency to let Kriselle spawn horrific abominations. They kept Noelle attracted to Susie, and I feel like she seems like a Predatory Lesbian™️ instead of some cringy doe who maybe wants a threesome or to be a swinger or something, but is too much of a loser to actually ask and so is either waiting on her crush or her wife to discuss it.

(Anyways, if Kris≠Chara then probably humans in the Nutdealer multiverse are hermaphrodites or something (we know that ghosts are dxab (designated nonbinary(X-gender at birth) based on Mad Mew Mew being referred to as they/them when they were Mad Dummy). If they are then it’d just be weird coincidence, or maybe split reincarnation or Chara somehow managing to convince the underground that all humans are nonbinary because they got a 20 on the associated persuasion check). This could also play into the theory that Ralsei exists as Kris’ ideal self, including gender, if humans are nonbinary by default. This has the bonus of upsetting everyone)

Kris botches a demonic possession and things get worse

hi so I actually wrote something longer for once inspired by wonderful art by @cozylittleartblog

Kris sighed, staring blankly at the ceiling. It was summer break, Asriel had left a week before to move into his new dorm, and also 3 am. They turned to the alarm clock on their side table, confirming the time. Yep, it was 3:24 am and Kris was bored out of their skull. Great. They glanced over to the computer on the desk across the room, the blank screen glinting enticingly at them in the moonlight. Kris knew it was a joke they had with Asriel, the whole demonic possession bit they had been keeping up for the past couple of weeks, but what if it was real? Ah screw it, Asriel had always been their impulse control anyways, might as well mess around and find out.

Slowly pulling off their blanket, Kris crept over to the computer to turn it on. If Toriel knew that they were awake and on the computer this late at night she’d surely take it away. It took a while for the old thing to start booting up, every second that passed felt like hours. Finally, the screen turned on, displaying whatever silly background they’d put on it as a joke. That wasn’t the reason they were here though, they were here to mess with demons and succumb to bodily possession. Or something. Whatever, it would be funny to see if it worked or not. If it did work, maybe then Kris could become a proper monster and people would stop treating them weirdly. Who knows, maybe they could finally grow horns of their own. And if it didn’t work, then it would remain a joke between the siblings. Kris would definitely tell Asriel how it went though, laughing over all the dumb little trinkets they had to throw together only for a demon to ghost them. It… hurt a little to think about him, even though it’s only been a week since he left. Whatever, they could be sappy later, it was demon time.

Kris half snorted at their search history as they tried to remember the site they went on last time, the one that claimed to be totally legitimate and was verified by demons. How they did that was none of Kris’s business. ‘How to summon demons’, ‘luigi board’, ‘magic’, ah! There it was. Under their search for demonic possession was the website they were looking for. Authored by spam-something, they didn’t bother reading the name, the site gave a step-by-step guide on how to summon a demon and possess someone. The site said to bring the person they wanted to be possessed, but Kris didn’t mind it. Why would they let someone else get possessed by a demon when it was so much cooler and funnier to get possessed themselves?

“A circle, chalk, some salt, kromer? What’s kromer?” Kris muttered to themselves, scrolling through the webpage.

The steps to summoning a demon seemed really simple for, y’know, summoning a creature from hell, but hey it was easy and demon certified so it should be fine. Probably.

Kris never actually had to practice sneaking around the house when Toriel was asleep, but they were glad for the fact that they were much lighter and smaller than she or Asriel is. Being a human had its perks sometimes, whatever those perks actually were. So it really didn’t take them that long before they were able to set up the things needed for the circle. Line the circle in chalk, pour salt around the outer edge, say some weird words.

Kris turned the computer off and settled on the bed before squinting at the words they wrote down on a scrap of paper. What language even was this? A demon one, and one they would probably butcher horribly. Five minutes of botched chanting later, Kris squinted at the circle, willing a demon to appear. They didn’t know what to expect. Hellfire? Some weird purple miasma thing? They were about to get up from the bed before they felt it. A sharp pounding in their chest, a heartbeat so loud it deafened them, the world went black. Kris tried to scream, clawing at their chest and throat, tears streaming down their face. They flailed in the darkness, blindly grasping for help that would not come. Their throat closed up, their voice failed them, a ghostly hand grabbed them by the throat and squeezed until Kris stopped thrashing in their grip. And in their fading vision, as the darkness came closer, Kris saw a bright red heart beat once, twice, three times, before finally succumbing.

Kris came to with the sound of a hand knocking on the door. They groaned hoarsely, trying to brush their hair out of their eyes. With a grimace they forced themselves to sit up, the dry taste of salt and chalk on their lips. What… happened? The knocking continued, accompanied with the sound of the doorknob rattling.

“Kris? Wake up please, you’ve been asleep for so long I'm getting worried. Hello? Kris? It’s past noon already, please don’t tell me you stayed up late on the computer again.” Toriel’s slightly muffled voice called through the door.

“I’m up. Don’t worry, I’m okay.” Kris froze at the sound that came out of their mouth. It was a voice… but it wasn’t theirs.

Toriel, blind to their panic, pressed on. “Alright then, I left lunch for you in the fridge whenever you’re hungry. I have to go to a teacher training meeting today for the next school year. Will you be okay by yourself?”

Kris wanted to say no, they wanted to do nothing more than to unlock the door and hug Toriel tight like how they used to when they were small. But someone or something kept them there. They easily agreed and said goodbye to Toriel even as Kris screamed and pounded against the walls of their mind.

The hold on their body only released once Toriel’s car left the driveway, prompting Kris to shoot up and run to the mirror in the hall. Uncaring of all the salt they were tracking, they leaned heavily against the wall and stared at themselves. Wild, unkempt hair, salt stuck to the side of their face, and red eyes. Wait, red eyes? Two different voices screamed at the same time, and Kris violently flung themselves against the opposite wall in terror.

“What is happening, who are you, where am I, why am I in someone else’s body?” the not-Kris voice spewed out, a fear that was not their own flooded Kris’s body.

“What do you mean ‘where am I’, aren’t you the demon who’s supposed to be possessing me?” Kris shot back, their mind whirling.

“Demon? Me? No, I'm just a person. How did I get here? Where is ‘here’ anyway?” the not-Kris replied.

Kris glanced back inside their room, the mess of chalk and salt was evident now, as were their footprints leading into the hallway.

“Is… is that a summoning circle?” not-Kris asked incredulously. “Did you summon me here?!”

“I was trying to summon a demon because I was bored!” Kris said defensively. “I wasn’t expecting to get possessed by some person.”

“Well this ‘some person’ would rather not be here, thank you very much!” they replied sarcastically.

“Ugh, whatever. We need to clean this up first though before Toriel gets back and sees the mess. After that we can sort this out.”

As Kris began vacuuming the remnants of the circle, they realized they never knew the name of whoever was possessing them. Whoever they were, they seemed to be able to read Kris’s mind and helpfully supplied a name. Unfortunately for Kris, the name they gave sounded like a thousand different people saying something all at once. They honestly didn’t know what to do with that, but they learned something new about the person possessing them: they can speak directly into Kris’s mind. And they would much rather they do that than to use Kris’s mouth to say whatever it is they wanted to say. Possessed or not, Kris did not want to answer any uncomfortable questions about why their voice occasionally sounded like someone else’s. Much to their relief, Kris’s new bodymate agreed with them.

Once Kris finished, they sat on the bed again, twiddling their thumbs. “So,” they started awkwardly, “what do you want to do about this?”

“Personally, I just want to go home.” they sighed tiredly. “But removing a demon or something is always harder than finding one, isn’t it?”

“Yeah… Wait, I have another question. What’s up with this little heart thing I have? I know I have an actual heart in my body, but wherever I close my eyes I can see a little heart shaped object. Do you know what it is?”

“That’s kind of how I got put in your body, I guess.” they shrug. “That’s my soul or something equivalent to that, it’s my entire being right now because this isn’t my body.”

Kris nodded slowly, trying to process the information. Having a mental conversation with a not-demon entity who also occupied your body was pretty weird already, but how were they going to fix it?

“It might be a while until I can find some kind of solution for this, will you be okay with this until then?” Kris asked.

“I don’t think I have much of a choice, but I’ll try my best to help you as much as I can.”

Regardless of what would happen next, Kris knew that things would be very interesting from now on.

a really stupid idea for a new undertale/deltarune au:

SPAMTALE

in which just about everything is the same, but nearly every character is replaced by some kind of spamton hybrid (ex. Spamiel, Spamgore, Spamdyne, etc).

the only character who stays the same is sans, who is very confused about the fact that everyone looks and acts like some cursed salesman.

flowey is also replaced by the normal spamton, and the final boss is spamton neo mixed with omega flowey and asriel dreemur.

oh, and everyone refers to you as kris no matter what you name yourself.

that is all, have fun with this godforsaken idea.

If I were to redo my New Horizons island, one possible theme I would go with is Undertale/Deltarune. Here’s some ideas for it:

Trying to find villagers that look like the monsters, such as Chevre or Shino for the Dreemurs.

Yellow/orange flowers for Asgore’s garden.

The island kinda looking like the town from Deltarune .

The island rep dressed up like Frisk, Chara or Kris.

The island being called Ebbott.

References to both games all over the island.

What are your views on UT!Chara? Are they good, neutral, evil (in your opinion) (No need to answer this ask if you do not want to)

hoo boy let me just. you’ve activated a Secret Essay(tm) of mine anon fbdshabl sorry i’ll try to keep it short LMAO

(under a read more just for a) length b) ut spoilers.. even tho im p sure most of you have beaten the game but who knows lol c) uhh Chara’s story is pretty dark so this has mentions of abuse and whatnot so please be aware of that ^^;;)

Morality alignment wise is like. Idk. I’m bad with assigning that half the time because it’s all subjective in a way right oh no my true neutralness surfaces like for example I wouldn’t do something I think is bad right? But someone else might think it’s bad. (Like my 16 yr old self might consider me today a terrible person just bc I like Undertale lol 16 yr old me is rude don’t listen to them) If I were to put them on a kind of DnD like alignment scale though, I think I would probably put them in a lawful neutral kind of alignment, maybe leaning a bit towards lawful evil.

But here’s the thing. Without Chara having any sort of backstory as to why they hate humans? It’s very hard for me to gauge where their motivation lies for the things that they did. Based off of what Asriel tells you when you talk to him in the Ruins, the genocide route, and the bits of narration we have, we can pretty much assume:

- Chara was pretty abusive, this is undeniably a fact even from just watching the videos in the True Lab; and while Asriel recognizes this, he didn’t want to lose them because they were the only one he felt close to. Which is likely part of the abuse they dealt by making him feel alone without them. - Chara hated humanity for reasons they would not disclose to Asriel, but it’s pretty implied that they attempted to commit suicide by jumping into Mt. Ebott. This could mean that they were abused in their past, which could in turn provide reason for their abusive nature (because, with Chara being a child, it’s very likely that they took in the personalities of those around them to make their own person up. Even though they were hurting, they didn’t exactly know why, and even still, many people with an abusive history that end up abusive themselves might not even recognize that they’re being abusive, which might be the case for Chara as well.) - Chara probably cared for Asriel. There’s a lot of things to indicate that they may have faked it or maybe it seems like they didn’t by their abusive nature towards Asriel, but it’s unlikely that Chara would fake caring about someone. If they jumped off the side of a mountain because they hated the people they were around so much, there’s very little reason for them to pretend they liked someone at the potential expense of their own happiness. More likely than not, Chara desperately wanted to keep Asriel close, but ended up being really controlling in an attempt to keep him close. Additionally, when you hug Asriel at the end of the True Pacifist route, the line “Hah... I don’t want to let go...” is said by the narrator, indicating it may have been Chara who said it. But considering how Sans also has lines that are spoken silently and in the default font, this may not be entirely accurate.  - Imma go off for a second about genocide because i have a pet peeve about when people suddenly decide that Chara is the one that caused it. This doesn’t make any sense -- but at the same time, with little to no games considering the Player and Player-Insert character to be two seperate characters, it’s no surprise to me that people i guess “projected” onto Chara. However, if you seperate the player from Frisk (in the same manner that Kris and the Player are seperate in Deltarune), it becomes easier to understand. Chara had nothing against the monsters. They liked monsterkind. It’s extremely unlikely that they would have the motivation to kill all of the monsters on their own. This wasn’t created until far into the genocide route, where the player has done most of the work for them. Chara is now living on pure Determination, which as we know is void of care and purely puts a person on a path of achieving their last desire, and once they wake up like this, with most of monsterkind already dead... well, what else is there to live for? They already attempted to kill humanity, failed, and now the only people they treasured have fallen like flies. Nothing matters in this world. Might as well delete the whole thing to finish the job. (also Frisk doesn’t have any motivations of their own either... unlike Kris they are shown to have no specific motivations (that i’m aware of?) one way or another and don’t reject the player ever so the idea that a canon frisk would reject the genocide route doesn’t make sense to me either. obvs au’s are exempt because they’re free real estate lmao anyway this is unrelated) - Chara’s a very calculated and observent person as well -- just look at how they died? They weren’t even afraid of death. They poisoned themselves with full faith that Asriel would take their Soul and bring them back to life (which also goes back to my point about how much Chara cared for Asriel, since, if they didn’t trust him, they would not have left him with that huge responsibility) by absorbing their Soul into his own body so they could exist as one. Chara saw their death as a stepping stone in their plan. All this from just seeing Asgore accidentally eat buttercups once and getting sick. A whole plan to get revenge on the people who hurt them from that. They even made a statement about wanting to be placed back on the Surface just to cover Asriel’s ass when he eventually took Chara on his own to the Surface. - okay this is probably just more of a me thing, but I’ve never gotten the whole “Chara hates Sans” concept. But considering I also don’t really think of Chara as the one who attempted the genocide route, I guess it makes sense. Chara probably doesn’t care about Sans one way or another, really, and Sans probably has very little idea who Chara is. I’ve always seen Sans’s statements during his battle said directly towards the Player, more or less using Frisk as the messenger -- like, for example (yes I have this on hand don’t judge me):

“sounds strange, but before this i was secretly hoping we could be friends. i always thought the anomaly was doing this because they were unhappy. and when they got what they wanted, they would stop all this. and maybe all they needed was. i dunno. some good foods, some bad laughs, some nice friends. but that’s ridiculous, right? yeah. you’re the type of person who won’t EVER be happy.”

- (cont) At this point it sort of taps into something I was gonna write for that Sans essay but here we go. I bolded “the anomaly” because this is the point where he directly refers to the player as their own individual in the game. What’s the only thing that’s different between Undertale and any moments of his life previous? The player. Hence, anomaly. Even Chara would have existed before the player showed up, right? Chara fell sometime within the 2010′s according to the opening of the game, and in between that time and when Frisk showed up, 6 other humans fell into the Underground. Clearly none of them had the same powers Frisk did, because otherwise, they would have not died and left their Soul behind for Asgore to use. That leaves one thing different -- player interference. Chara even directly states that the player is the one who woke them up with Determination, meaning they were asleep (or dead) for every year previous to their arrival. Sans probably only knows them as “the first human” like every other monster in the Underground (aside from the Dreemurs, of course).
