Do you think shrimp chips contain multiple shrimps in each chip or just one?
thanks, did you know that there is mercury in the shrimps? and the microwave????
I didn't know kroepoek had shrimp in it (but I slightly did?) and now I'm here, I think there are mutiple shrimps in each chip because the average amount of shrimp in a back is 12-16% so they gotta cut all those buddies up, however I would believe they always only have one nuclear family of shrimp in a bag. It's so they can stay together till the end, of course.
#anon#asks and replies#hope this answers your question#of course I didn't know the english name bcus we probably got kroepoek while colonizing indonesia#it's kerupuk there#and krupuk in javanese#so dutchified we call it kroepoek#it is funny how the internet is like 'you can't eat shrimp when pregnant because it contains mercury'#and then underneath it just says 'just like other types of fish#that contain even more mercury#maybe my mom went ham on the kroepoek and that's why im the way i am

Emping or Belinjo Crackers (苦饼) is a type of Indonesian chip, a bite-size snack kripik cracker, made of melinjo or belinjo (Gnetum gnemon) nuts (which are seeds). Emping crackers have a slightly bitter taste. Emping snacks are available in markets either plain (original), salty, spicy, or sweet, depending on whether salt or caramelized sugar is added. Recently, my colleague bought a bag of Tom Yum Belinjo Crackers (东炎苦饼) with kaffir lime leaves and she brought some to the office to share. Love that sweet, tangy and lightly spicy flavours clinging to the crunchy crackers with a slight bitter aftertaste so I asked her to buy one bag for me.

Emping production is a home industry, with emping traditionally handmade in a labor-intensive process. The melinjo seeds are sauteed in a medium fire without oil or sometimes using sand as a media. Some people boil the melinjo seeds to ease the peeling process. Both the softer outer skin and the harder inner skin of the seeds are peeled off by hand. Each of the gnetum seeds is whacked with a wooden hammer-like instrument or pressed with a stone cylinder to create flat and round emping and later arranged in a tray made of weaved bamboo and sun-dried for a whole day. Each emping chip is commonly created from a single gnetum nut, although there are variants that combine several seeds to create larger emping with sizes similar to krupuk. These large emping, however, are often mixed with other types of starch, such as corn or tuber starch. There are two types of emping thickness available in markets, thin and thick. Thin emping are usually plain or salty, while thick emping are usually sweet, coated with caramelized sugar, or spiced with chilli pepper.

Can I please see 9 and 30 for FFS Enfesien? Thank you so much for doing this!
9. Describe your character's teeth.
Perfect.
There's no way a child of Crielle's isn't going to have perfect teeth, either because of good genetics, or because of extensive dental work.
(Actually these days there's probably some erosion/wear from grinding/clenching).
30. Name one (or more) of your character's favorites in any category--foods, colors, bands, movies, animals, etc.
Efnisien's favourite food, hmm, it's probably something Kadek makes, like soto ayam, or krupuk.
His favourite colour is pale blue.
Efnisien doesn't have a favourite band, but he does have many composers he enjoys the work of.
Efnisien doesn't have a favourite movie.
And his favourite animal is dogs of all kinds (it always was) (and then, of course, dumbo squid/octopus!)
~
From the OC Asks meme!
#efnisien ap wledig#asks and answers#falling falling stars#memey goodness#efnisien is very much a dog person#i think beyond that it's definitely like#Adorabilis#cephalopods are right up there too#administrator gwyn wants this in the queue

I had to make this diagram for someone. I figured I might as well use it for Krupuk tips.
But it's pretty basic and works with any semi-transparent brush.
Achieving both soft color blending and a markery paper texture isn't super straightforward in Clip Studio Paint so this is one of several options you have to achieve it.
Krupuk Chisel is part of my Krupuk Markers and Water brush pack. You can find it in my shop here: https://ko-fi.com/pharanbrush/shop

May I ask what brushes you use?
YES! Sorry for the time~ I have been using a plethora of brushes so bear with me as I share my favorites. Also have in mind I got a few new self made brushes since my pen broke to try and fit it better without killing my wrist in the process. :')
I use Clip Studio Paint because it is simply the best thing to have ever touched my eyes BUT I believe CSP brushes also work on Photoshop and virse-versa. I really like the Krupuk brush set that is free but they also have more brushes that are paid. They all seem really high quality but I can't buy them yet so no review from me! Now to brushes you can find on the CSP thing, I love 2093207, 1758182, 1640278, 1870475 (or any mameo brush honestly), 2072647 and this pack 2094247. I can try and get any brush in specific you want (because I cycle. Around a lot of them) but these are my favorites!

Exploring the Culinary Delights of Bali: A Food Lover's Paradise

Bali, an enchanting island in Indonesia, is renowned for its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and, not least, its delectable cuisine. The food scene in Bali offers a unique blend of traditional Indonesian flavors with modern twists, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. Here, we explore some of the best foods Bali has to offer, ranging from street food delights to high-end gourmet experiences.
1. Nasi Campur
Nasi Campur, meaning "mixed rice," is a quintessential Balinese dish that provides a little taste of everything. Typically served with white rice, this dish includes a variety of side dishes such as vegetables, meats, peanuts, eggs, and fried-shrimp krupuk. The mix often features local specialties like lawar (a traditional mix containing fine chopped meat, grated coconut, and spices) and satay (skewered and grilled meat).
2. Babi Guling

Babi Guling, or roasted suckling pig, is a traditional Balinese dish often reserved for special occasions but can be found in many restaurants around the island. The pig is stuffed with a combination of spices such as turmeric, coriander seeds, lemongrass, and garlic, and then spit-roasted until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. This dish is a must-try for meat lovers looking to experience authentic Balinese flavors.
3. Bebek Betutu

Bebek Betutu, or slow-cooked duck, is another traditional dish that showcases the intricate Balinese cooking methods. The duck is marinated with a rich mixture of spices, including ginger, turmeric, garlic, and chili, wrapped in banana leaves, and then cooked slowly for several hours. This process ensures that the meat is incredibly tender and infused with the robust flavors of the spices.
4. Sate Lilit
Sate Lilit is a unique variant of satay that is exclusive to Bali. Unlike typical satay that uses whole meat pieces, sate lilit is made from minced meat, usually fish, mixed with grated coconut, coconut milk, lime leaves, and a blend of local spices. The mixture is then wrapped around bamboo sticks or lemongrass stalks and grilled. The result is a fragrant and flavorful satay that is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
5. Lawar
Lawar is a traditional Balinese salad made from finely chopped vegetables, grated coconut, and minced meat (usually pork or chicken), all mixed with rich herbs and spices. There are several variations of lawar, with some even including blood from the meat for added flavor and authenticity. This dish provides a unique and authentic taste of Balinese cuisine, often enjoyed as part of a larger meal.
6. Nasi Goreng
Nasi Goreng, or Indonesian fried rice, is a popular dish that can be found throughout Bali. This simple yet delicious dish is made by stir-frying rice with garlic, shallots, sweet soy sauce, and a variety of other ingredients such as chicken, prawns, or vegetables. It's often served with a fried egg on top and garnished with slices of cucumber and tomato, creating a satisfying and flavorful meal.
7. Mie Goreng
Mie Goreng is the noodle counterpart to Nasi Goreng and is equally beloved. These stir-fried noodles are cooked with a mix of vegetables, meats, and a sweet-savory sauce, often garnished with a fried egg, prawn crackers, and a wedge of lime. Mie Goreng is a versatile dish that is both comforting and flavorful, making it a favorite among tourists and locals.
8. Pepes Ikan
Pepes Ikan is a traditional dish where fish is marinated with a blend of spices and wrapped in banana leaves before being steamed or grilled. This cooking method infuses the fish with aromatic flavors and keeps it moist and tender. The spices commonly used include turmeric, lemongrass, and chili, which give the dish a vibrant and zesty taste.
9. Balinese Desserts
Balinese cuisine also offers a variety of delightful desserts. One popular sweet treat is Dadar Gulung, a green pancake roll filled with sweet grated coconut and palm sugar. Another favorite is Klepon, glutinous rice cakes filled with palm sugar and coated in grated coconut. These desserts provide a perfect ending to a meal, offering a taste of Bali’s sweet flavors.
Conclusion
Bali’s culinary landscape is as rich and diverse as its culture and scenery. From the savory delights of Babi Guling and Bebek Betutu to the sweet treats like Dadar Gulung, every dish tells a story of tradition, community, and flavor. Whether you’re dining in a high-end restaurant or sampling street food, the flavors of Bali are sure to leave a lasting impression. So, when you visit this paradise island, make sure to indulge in its best foods and savor the true essence of Balinese cuisine.
