Though it's been a hot minute since I've really indulged in vld outside of working on LB, I'm one of those multishippers who can be persuaded on mostly anything so long as the narrative is compelling enough (particularly so far as Keith is involved)! My staples tend to be keitor (obviously) & sheith, but I have a fondness for fics that explore keith/kuron, keith/james, keith/regris, keith/allura, keith/matt in an interesting manner, and I've even read a few solid pieces featuring keith/lance, keith/kolivan, and (most surprisingly of all) keith/zarkon.

So far as non-keith-centric ships are concerned, I'm far choosier, but lotura is always a heartbreaker, ezor/zethird is cute but seldom written (bonus points if axca is their fwb third), shiro/ulaz lends itself to a tender sort of angst, and zarkon/honerva is just outright sad.

I can also go for all the above in a non-romantic sense, of course, but my major platonic dynamics are Pidge & mostly everyone, Keith & the entire BoM, and Lotor & the galra girl squad.

Less so than the ships themselves, it's actually the manner in which any given dynamic is written that sees me become particular: the portrayal of the characters, their mannerisms, their interactions with one another, the circumstances in which they've come together, etc etc... but if you have any fics that you would absolutely swear by—whether they feature a ship listed here or not—then by all means send them my way!

Yes and no? Obviously Shiro-centric shit was my jam for years, and then also my boy Ryou, whomst I love with my whole shriveled black heart. WAFF and Fluff are this high mostly b/c I'm good at tagging them, when I forget to tag 'Angst' all the time.

And also Mind Control. Lol. Dammit, let me have my characters turn against their team against their will and remind them how terrifying they are before feeling immense regret. As a treat.

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

Lesse... The way characters obfuscate their feelings and WHAT they hide, and what that says about them. Examinations of guilt, regret and mental health. How someone's perception of themself filters into how they see others. Personhood and community. Also that my fav is very competent and it's very sexy of them.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

I'm actually really enjoying how dense and self-indulgent that the Supervillain AU is getting. There's more that I haven't put out there, including fitting Raiden in (spoilers, they send him as Snake's replacement. He gets caught, brushed off, and Dave says finder's keepers.)

8. What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?

Something Something, circa MGS4 fic to Dust Bowl Dance. "You haven't met me, I am the only son," would be FIRE in the right context.

Fic rec! Keith centric post-s4 Voltron. 3.7K

Summary: Voltron doesn’t see this, Keith remarks detachedly as he wipes the blood off of his hands from when he tried but failed to save another rebel. They don’t know the numbers of rebels dying every day in the hope that they were bringing the universe one step closer to stopping Zarkon.

Comments: Look, I know Keith is not the cuddliest of characters, but I will deal with any amount of hissing and wiggling and jabby elbows to hug him after this fic anyway.

I love how there’s this separation of how Voltron experiences the war and how the Blade does. It’s different missions and different consequences. And that’s a hard thing for Keith to go through, especially hot on the heels of his experiences with with Kuron. Boy’s got issues, and while they just seem to get worse and worse as the fic goes on, it’s nice to see it end on a note that just might help him.
