'...what?'

★ kuroo stares in horror/disgust. he doesn't even know what to say, but he quickly realizes you were not in fact pulling off your actual lashes, but fake ones. 'jeez. warn a guy next time maybe?' he jokes, the smirk back on his face. but he's still curious, 'so that doesn't like...hurt at all?'

★ oikawa is mid-sentence when he sees you start to rip your eyelashes off like a savage and he literally gasps/croaks as he watches you. 'what are you doing??' when you tell him, he still looks so concerned. 'isn't there a better way to do that?' you just say no and proceed to rip the other off while he winces watching.

★ ushijima just stares at you. doesn't know what to think or say. but since you don't seem to be in pain and even smile at him once you notice him step into the room, he assumes logically that you're fine. just smiles back and kisses you on the forehead before going off to do whatever he came in to do.

Of Course hun, he was actually next on my list believe it or not.

You walked in to find the living room lamp left on for you, his hours are far more predictable than yours, he usually ends up being home before you.

Shedding your shoes and coat, you pad through the house and up the steps to his office, following the smell of his cologne and old spice.

You found his blazer hung off the doorknob, his silent way of inviting you in as you picked up the fabric and pushed the door open the rest of the way.

He's working by lamp light, glasses perched on his nose, hair dishevelled and so very handsome.

He looks up to meet your gaze, and offers a sad smile as he spots the tell-tale look on your face.

Tetsuro pushed his chair back a step and patted his thigh without a word, watching your tired legs carry you into his lap, curling up into his chest, across his legs.

His left hand cradled your head, fingertips slowly dragging across your scalp to push the tension away, urging your eyes to roll shut.

Subtly, he took a deeper breath, and urged you to do the same, marking your pattern until you'd relaxed completely into smooth, deep breaths while he worked, typing rhythmically.

He didn't need to know what happened, didn't think that anything had to happen for you to come home needing him.

It's his job, before anything else, to be there when you need to feel his arms around you, need to breathe in the smell of home and comfort.

Once his work is done, he reclines back into his chair, gently rocking you as he presses a kiss to the crown of your head, letting himself linger as he breathed in the smell of your hair.

Together you stay in that chair, letting it all switch off and melt away, letting it all slow down without a care or a word as he holds you in that cocoon of Old Spice and something purely his.

Kuroo Tetsurou

Wants to be the cool, calm and collected man who can smooth talk his way into your heart and have you laughing at his well thought out jokes right up until the moment he has the perfect opportunity to ask you out. All so smooth and suave.

Reality though is a harsh mistress to Kuroo. He's a mess. A hot mess. He's all blushes and outbursts when he tries talking to you. Those topics he planned on talking to you about? They come up as garbled words and strung together sentences that reach every octive in his range.

When he can manage to talk to you normally it's only to embarass himself or say something that makes you laugh at him, not with him AT HIM. Definitely the one getting hit in the face with a volleyball the second you walk up to him type embarrassment.

'You okay Kuroo?' 'Mhmm definitely.' 'It's just your face is bright red and your nose is bleeding from where the volleyball hit you.' 'Oh yeah happens all the time.' 'You get hit in the face all the time?'

Definitely not his finest play it cool moments. But it's very endearing. Along with his blurt out words just to start conversations with out because he can't bear the thought of you walking by without talking to you first.

The sweet thing is though he doesn't let the embarassment he feels stop him. He just grins, blushing cheeks and all and keeps running head first through it all because you are worth it.

Oh and when he does get to that confession after all the failed attempts before with that BIG SPEECH he has planned? It's gone now. Head empty no ones home. Only you there in front of him watching as he stands there wide eyed and panicking trying again to string a sentence together.

You have to be the one to work it out. Something along the lines of 'Alright I'll go out with you.' to make it easy on him or if you're uncertain and want to really push him through it. 'Are you asking me out?' to which HE FINALLY manages to get a 'Yes. Please um, me?' which doesn't make sense but you get it. 'Yeah, okay.'

How could you not? He's an adorable mess. A dork in love. This also kind of breaks the spell of not being able to communicate with you and you can finally have more of a normal conversation with him again.

Iwaizumi Hajime

When he's contemplating it he can't look at you. He's staring everywhere but your eyes. A little blushy too. He's a little awkward but can hold a conversation just not eye contact. There was one awkward conversation he dead ass went oh I'm just going to look up yep totally not suspicious.

Once he's decided he's going to do it though, he's going to confess to you, the fierce determination in him returns. He's no longer afraid to look you in the eye. You make a joke about him returning to normal and he's makes some deep line about 'realising what's important' to him. lol.

He won't rush it but rather wait for the right moment. That or his patience will run out and he'll be afraid someone else will swoop in and take you (he's seen one to many confrontations with Oikawa to let that happen) and pulls you aside one day.

The thing about Iwa is he likes to be prepared for anything. So he did have a mini speech prepared. Nothing concrete just more to do with his feelings--how he feels about you and what you mean to him. It's all loose but something he may or may not have practiced in his bedroom mirror a few times. Along with making sure his hair looked okay. Nice and spikey.

You know the smooth guy Kuroo wished he was? That's the guy Iwaizumi actually is and he doesn't even try, it just comes naturally. He doesn't say the speech. Its simple and sweet, he just tells you straight. 'I have feelings for you and I hope I'm right in thinking you do to. If so please go out with me.'

The only thing that gives away his nerves are those pink cheeks. He's wearing the most serious expression. He even does a little bow to show you he's serious. Just don't take to long to reply or he might panic a little (or do if you wanna be that person YOU MONSTER) but yeah. hehe.

Agreeing to date him? He's smug affff. Like he pulled you and pulled off a confession without fumbling. Nothing can bring him down. Mans is walking on air.

Bokuto Koutarou

The way he feels about you makes him feel so warm and full that he just can't wait to tell you. He's practically bursting at the seems holding in his feelings. The whole world knows about his crush without him having to even say it out loud. Aside from maybe some self doubt you probably sense it too.

The thing is that doesn't mean Bokuto is going to tell you the second he realises. He kind of wants to sit on the warmth that comes with having a crush for a hot minute. It's nice? Just hanging out without the pressure. He's a bit affraid of the pressure.

Also he's not enitrely sure you like him back, ya'know?

That doesn't last long though because before he knows it the two of you are hanging out together laughing about something when he just blurts out that he likes you. It's not planned, there's not speech, no fumbling but he's entirely serious.

There's the sofest smile on his face when you ask him to repeat what he said because honestly it's like you dreamed it. Surely he didn't just say he liked you? Not with that sweet smile and certain look in his eyes.

But he did! and he says it again. This time a little quiter but with more emphasis like he NEEDS you to understand. With an added question about dating. He holds your gaze and waits for your response. It's like the bubble around you two will break if it's not quick and if it's not yes.

Of course it is though and Bokuto's smile widens again like that brief moment of vulnerability never existed between the two of you. He's as happy as when he's been pulled from one of his emo mode moments. Maybe happier. He'd landed something better than a killer cross shot.

Ok kenma is so very aro and so very gay. My favorite dynamics of his are bokuakakuroken and kenhina but he really gives platonic vibes even in those ships. i love the idea that hes aroace but still dating bokuto, kuroo and akaashi who also give various aspec vibes btw. i think i just really like characters in poly relationships where one part is platonic but means just as much because im self conscious about how much my friends care about me lol. but anyway. it’s obvious that kenma really likes hinata, we see it when they first meet and kenma just immediately gets a squish on him and then in the timeskip where he sponsors hinata like omg theyre so ahhh. i think he just really likes being around hinata and finds him fascinating. canon really encapsulates the beginning of a squish for me like kenma is just so intrigued and really finds hinata to be a really fun person to be around and opens up to him much more easily than anyone and i will die on platonic kenhina hill!!!

So usually I will wrote for multiple characters for one request but I will make each one a little shorter( so it's more like mini headcannons) I have a few examples in my completed headcannons lists! I just asks that you try and limit it to 3 at most because otherwise if gets difficult for me to keep track.

So usually if there isn't a specific gender requested, I try to stick with gender neutral pronouns(they/them or just YN). However if the requests says "her/she" or "he/him" I'll probably go off those indicators and use pronouns associated with that. If someone just says "manager" I usually stick to gender neutral pronouns!

As far as sexualities go, if you specify a specific sexuality, I will do my best to accommodate! I do research about subjects I'm unsure of before I write them so I try to be as accurate as I possibly can! I want to be respectful so as much information as you can give me the better!

★ daichi probably did that typical guy thing where he tried to logically solve your problem instead of listening and supporting you emotionally, which just pissed you off beyond belief. he'll just sit there, unsure of what to do for a few moments, anxiously looking between you and the road. "what did i do? come on sweetheart, don't be like that..." when you get back home he stops you and makes sure to make it up to you and apologize with a much-needed hug.

★ iwaizumi tries not to let his anger get the best of him but sometimes when he's pissed off, it's hard and he'll just growl out curt responses and unintentionally be rude. when you ignore him because of that on the way home, the reality sets in and he feels real bad. he's awkwardly stiff as silence engulfs the two of you in the car. he calls out your name hesitantly soft and stops you before you get out, so he can apologize.

★ kuroo is very observant. and because of that, he knows exactly what to point out to strike a nerve. if he's had a long day, and he's annoyed, it's easy for him to speak without thinking. he did exactly that earlier and he realized when he noticed the look of disbelief in your eyes as you nodded slowly and walked to the car ahead of him. he called your name softly but you didn't respond, instead choosing to keep walking. he'd said enough. he sits in the car silently for a moment, internally panicking, not even starting the car yet. he doesn't want an awkward, tense car ride back home so he apologizes immediately, taking one of your hands in his, celebrating in his head when he turns your cheek and you let him.

★ sakusa was in a bad mood and made a somewhat rude comment to you, it was moreso the tone that offended you. and since he was wearing his mask, you couldn't tell that he had a regretful look on his face until you got to the car. his fingers are tapping against the steering wheel anxiously as you sit there silently next to him, body turned completely to the window. it takes him a little while to work up the courage to apologize, just cause he's so nervous and he hates when he makes you upset. but he always sorts things out with you, he can't sleep otherwise.

here’s what I think baking treats and having dance parties in the middle of the night with these three is like!

osamu: the king of midnight snacking himself 😌 you know he’s so down to do this. we stan a man who’s good with recipes, and he always seems to know exactly what to make to fit the mood! expect him to wanna make something low key complex and for him to wanna be in charge of the whole process since he’s used to ruling the kitchen. if you’re no good at baking, don���t worry, he’ll show you the ropes and give you the easy tasks. and if you are, he’ll still give you the easy stuff to do bc he likes a challenge!

the music choice for your midnight baking session is some r&b. I have a feeling he’s super into this because it’s smooth and just relaxing to him after a long day of working at a hectic job. he just enjoys that vibe. because of this, you’re probably holding the tools you're using like microphones and lip synching duets while dancing/acting like you’re in an actual music video lmao. even tho he’s all serious and indifferent on the outside most times, he loves a good dance session. just make sure you’re listening for the timer or else your food’s burning LOL

kuroo: always up for spontaneous things like this! he has some experience with baking, but isn’t gonna make anything too fancy bc he doesn’t wanna put all the time into making something just for the end product to come out inedible 😤 you have to be in charge of the recipe book tho or else he’ll keep flipping through it and going “oh, wait, what about this! no, this! ooh, OR--” FOCUS TETSU. 

so I have this hc that kuroo secretly has a soft spot for old, old school jazz/swing music, so he’ll wanna dance all romantically with you in the kitchen while you’re baking. imagine going from one counter to another and he stops to grab your hand and give you a lil spin and dip 🥺 ugh he’s so suave (sometimes lol). while the food’s baking, he’s got his hands around your waist, holding you close to him while you both sway to the music.

bokuto: he wants to bake so bad but he’s so MESSY. like, be fully prepared to clean every surface in your kitchen bc he WILL spill many things. choose a simple recipe, like some cookies, and let him add the ingredients but WATCH HIM to make sure he doesn’t use the wrong amount! don’t let him mix bc he’ll end up accidentally flinging stuff out of the bowl smh. just keep an eye on him so he doesn’t hurt himself on accident! though he’s not good at baking, he’ll always want to put his best effort into it! he’s trying!
