🙌 I love seeing everyone celebrating and reliving the start of the press tour. April really kicked in w/ so many interviews at the London press call and then of course, from there Lukola left on their World Tour.

🤔 Many of us speculate that Lukola was fully involved again by that time - probably around Valentine's Day (or very soon after), and the Lukola FBI recently found another nugget that could support that fact.

👀 Take a look at the 1975 video that A posted on Feb 21st as a latergram. (The 1975 was in concert at the O2 arena Feb. 12, 13, 14 and 20th of 2024, so it could be from any of those dates.) It appears that A is not sitting w/ L (no surprise) and at first glance L appears to be w/ two friends - a guy and a girl. BUT, upon lightening the video, there is a 4th person behind them. She appears to be very short w/ long lighter hair and is holding a cell phone in her right hand. She also does a little pump motion w/ her hands to the music.

This guide is designed to help writers depict drowning scenes with authenticity and detail. I’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of drowning, the physical signs to look for and clear up some common misconceptions. With this information, you’ll have the tools to craft vivid, compelling, and believable drowning scenarios that will captivate your readers and add depth to your narrative.

The Stages of Drowning

1. Initial Entry

When a person first enters the water, especially unexpectedly, their initial reaction is often one of shock and panic. The sudden change in environment, temperature, and the feeling of being submerged triggers an immediate response from the body.

Shock Response

Cold Water Immersion: Sudden immersion in cold water can cause a cold shock response, which includes involuntary gasping, hyperventilation, and a rapid increase in heart rate and blood pressure.

Panic and Disorientation: The person may become disoriented and panic, struggling to stay afloat and breathe normally.

2. Involuntary Breath-Holding

As the person struggles to keep their head above water, they instinctively hold their breath to prevent water from entering their lungs.

Burning Sensation in Lungs

The buildup of carbon dioxide in the blood creates a burning sensation in the lungs, which intensifies the feeling of panic.

Increased Heart Rate and Blood Pressure

Summary: Molly gifts Rosie something the teen never thought she'd get her hands on.

Eighteen Years Old

Molly got me concert tickets to Niall Horan on my eighteenth birthday. I was over the moon. Since I was ten, I’d considered myself a Directioner, and the year I turned thirteen, I had my first celebrity crush. Harry Styles, one of the One Direction members, was destined to be my boyfriend someday in the future, no questions asked.

I got over it. Eventually. When Molly accompanied me to one of their last concerts before they split up, it was more important to sing along and enjoy the music than to pine for the darkhaired young Brit.

Niall, who was a previous member of One Direction, had sold out all his concerts in the UK, and I and my two friends, Leyla and Clare, had tried but failed to get tickets. And now, I suddenly had three of them in my hands.

“Molly! I don’t know how to thank you enough,” I exclaimed and hugged her hard and long. “How did you…”

“Shush now. I have my…sources,” Molly said and winked at me. “Give the girls a call and tell them the good news.”

Papa tried to insist that one of uncle Myc’s chauffeurs could drive us to the O2, where the concert was to be held, but Dad and I managed to make him see sense.

“I ride the tube almost every day, Papa. The Jubilee Line will take us straight to North Greenwich station, and then we’re practically there. We can’t always make use of uncle’s privileges, you know. It would be embarrassing and attract too much attention as well if three ordinary girls turned up in a…”

“Nothing ordinary about…” Papa interrupted me, while Dad interrupted Papa with a stern voice calling his name, and that was the end of it.

Molly had procured us with great Inner Circle tickets and early entry. It must’ve cost her a fortune, and I kept wondering who this source of hers was. (Not that I didn’t have my suspicions.)

With money my grandparents had gifted me, I bought merch. A t-shirt, a few bracelets and a key lanyard.

The concert was brilliant, and luckily, we were already on our way out of the venue when a group of girls started to fight amongst each other over a signed poster of Niall. It got ugly quite quickly. A nail file was put to good use, blood flooded, and hysterical teenagers were running to the tube station.

My phone vibrated in the back pocket of my jeans. A text.

Walk to the parking lot by the Aurora Tower. I will have a car waiting for the three of you. UM.

Clare had started to get a bit freaked out by the crowd pushing on us, and she sighed relieved when I told her and Leyla that we should walk in the opposite direction to be picked up by my uncle, Anthea or just a driver.

“Your uncle is just brilliant, Ro,” Leyla stated. “How did he know? This just happened minutes ago. I’m sure it hasn’t reached the news yet.”

“Not the ordinary news,” I agreed without elaborating further.

When I spotted the car, another text arrived.

Ferguson will be driving you. He already knows Ms. Aldershot and Ms. Carson’s addresses. I hope you had a good time. UM.

The Nightstand Kit

Summary: Connor keeps a small medical kit in the drawer of his nightstand. Not because he’s paranoid—because he knows his wife. He knows how quickly things can turn. POTS episodes in the middle of the night. Migraines that hit before sunrise. Nausea that spirals into full-on dehydration. And so, the kit is there. Stocked, quiet, ready. And one night, when she wakes up gasping from pain and her heart racing out of control, that little kit becomes the one thing that stands between chaos and control.

Connor had built the kit slowly. Thoughtfully.

It started the night she woke him up with a whisper, eyes wide and glassy in the dark.

“I don’t feel right,” she’d said.

Her skin was clammy. Pulse racing. Her words slurring ever so slightly. A POTS episode, but a bad one. The kind that could lead to a fainting spell or even convulsive syncope if it spiraled.

That night, he’d run from room to room, collecting supplies in a panic.

Afterward, he decided: Never again.

So he made the kit.

Not some massive trauma bag. Just enough. Just what she’d need in a pinch.

It lived in the drawer beside his side of the bed, tucked neatly between a pulse oximeter and an extra phone charger.

Inside it:

• Emergency electrolyte packets

• A bottle of pre-mixed nausea medication in dissolvable form

• Pre-loaded syringe of Zofran

• Sumatriptan injector

• Spare compression sleeves

• A BP cuff with an auto-read screen

• Cooling forehead patches

• Instant ice pack

• TXA injection for heavy bleeding if she needed it fast

• Glucose tabs

• A backup injector for her Morphine, labeled with the dosage he memorised (because yeah it got morphine level bad)

• Her emergency med card and allergy list, just in case she couldn’t speak

He checked it every Sunday. Replaced anything expired. Swapped out what they’d used.

Sometimes, she teased him about it. Called it “Dr. Rhodes’ Nightstand ER.”

But she also looked relieved every time he opened it without hesitation.

One night, around 3:14 a.m., he felt her shift beside him.

Her breathing was off. Shallow. Tight. Her body curled in on itself.

He sat up instantly. “Hey, what’s wrong?”

“Hurts,” she whispered, hand pressing to her lower abdomen. “Bad. Really bad.”

He turned on the bedside light and saw it—the familiar look. Clenched jaw. Trembling fingers. That flare-up stare that meant her endo pain was cresting and her blood pressure was dropping from it.

“I’ve got you,” he said.

He opened the drawer calmly and pulled out the kit.

BP cuff on.

O2 sat monitor clipped to her finger.

She was tanking—fast.

He slipped on gloves and prepped the Morphine injection, talking her through it like he always did. “Deep breath, love. One… two… now.”

She whimpered, but nodded, leaning into his shoulder. He helped her drink half a glass of electrolyte water and propped her legs up with a pillow.

The migraine started thirty minutes later. He could see it in the way she flinched at the light. He handed her the cooling patch and closed the blackout curtains, using the softest touch to smooth her hair back from her forehead.

“You’re doing okay,” he murmured. “I’ve got everything under control.”

She cracked her eyes open just enough to meet his.

“You don’t sleep enough for someone who’s not the one flaring.”

He smiled faintly, pressing a kiss to her temple.

“You think I’m going to sleep while you’re fighting your whole nervous system? Nah. I’m clocked in.”

By morning, the pain had eased. Her vitals were stable. The worst had passed.

Connor sat on the edge of the bed, repacking the kit, checking the auto-injector expiration dates with bleary eyes.

She reached over and laced her fingers through his. “I don’t say it enough. But thank you. For all of it.”

He looked over and gave her a tired but genuine smile. “That’s what the kit’s for. That’s what I’m for.”

Because love, for Connor, wasn’t always grand.

Sometimes, it lived in drawers.

In pulse checks.

In knowing how to save her before she asked for help.
