Archions was created to spy on an enemy company but he gained sentience, because of this sentience Archion was afraid of what he was doing and in turn caused him to give information to the enemy company. Because of this the scientist responsible for him created a security code to remove his memory and data and send it into a system only the scientists can see. This also caused another security measure to be put in place where he could not speak, there is a black box hovering over where his mouth should be. It animates when it talks but oftentimes this feature is locked down to prevent it from speaking. Every time he shuts down his memory is wiped.

In its original lore it killed the scientist and everyone in the facility it resided in, unable to regain memories when shutting down and forgetting everything after events. But for the sake of the blog, this does not happen.

SPOILERS AHOY! IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THIS GAME PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Alright, with the obligatory warning out of the way, LETS CRACK INTO THIS. First of all, I was definitely not ready for the twists this game was boutta knock me upside the head with, like, at all. Starting with the simple fact of how they turned something the fandom MILKED for all it's worth in jokes into a key plot point was just... well fucking played. Also known as the pink blood. Trying to wrap my head around 'Homunculi' was a trip and a half. Once I DID have my head wrapped around the concept though, things made way more sense . Makoto being a Homunculi I saw coming after the investiagtion in the labratory in the restricted area. Specifically that he was the first successful one that disappeared. I was confused, but not that confused. What did get me good was Yuma Kokohead...not...being...Yuma Kokohead...but rather number one. Oh dear. Cause I had originally suspected that the number one we saw on the screen in the office was the big bad or smth, I just knew there was something kinda off about him. I was barking up the wrong tree clearly. When I got to the part where the game finally revealed that homunculi have pink blood I had a realization and was very happy that this information was the confirmation I needed to know, MY CHILDREN WEREN'T DEAD. (Aka the other detectives for those who may not have seen my previous blab.) Then there was Makoto...hoo boy. Don't get me wrong, I like Makoto as a character, but I was a MIXED ass bag of emotions with him. Between first cussing him out wondering where the hell the others were, then changing to applauding him for his cleverness in using us to get rid of Yomi, then finally to; "Oh shit, I don't actually want to kill you anymore... uhhh-" Then the emergency exit coming out and Shinigami finally telling us what the price is for using it and... Oh dear I nearly started crying (and usually when it comes to emotional moments in fiction I am a stone wall.) We've been through so much shit with Shinigami, it HURT to have to go our separate ways from her, it just hurt! Finally I just wanted to touch on that EPILOUGE. I was SO happy to see all the other detectives (Sans Yakou, RIP.) at the office and getting ready to head out. Nearly had a panic when I couldn't locate Vivia, only for him to be hiding in a suitcase hoping someone would carry him. Kurumi going out to search for Number one and travel is kinda cute, I was also EXTREMELY relieved that the ramen shop owner was able to develop a ramen with all of the nutrients Homunculi need so they didn't have to eat the meatbuns anymore. Thank goodness TvT. ALRIGHTY. I DID mention I would list my favourite characters so HERE WE GO. (Keep in mind this is just MY opinion. I'll just do a top 5 list for the sake of length) 1. Vivia Twilight (Yakou WAS my favourite character at first, but then I got to know Vivia's character a bit better I couldn't help but love his lazy ass. Not to mention I found his forte SO cool!) 2. Yakou (I Miss My Wife Tails) Furio. (Ah yes, my favourite Hobo detective as I like to call him. I call him that because when he wears that big coat he kinda looks like a Hobo. Anyways, watching him try to be the voice of reason for the other detectives is just too entertaining to not like him.) 3. Fubuki Clockford. (She's so sweet, yet so forgetful. Tbh I find it cute. She's another one of the detectives whose forte I find really interesting. I will admit though, my first impression of her was; "Dumb, dumb as hell." but she's so cute. I just love her.) 4. Halara Nightmare (They're SO badass! Watching them kick around the Peacekeepers like it's nothing is always a good time! Also, we appreciate an Animal lover here, yes we DO! I love Halara's forte and using it during the Nail Man investigations was quite interesting. 5. Shinigami (Our adorable, lenient, troublesome, and mean companion! God I don't know how anyone can't like her? She's so amusing and has literally NO filter! Only reason she's lower on the list is because MY emotional attachment was more towards the other detectives.)

It was like that for several years, but when she started to grow older than Nicole she (Nicole) disapeared suddenly, and at 11 Renelle nearly forgot she existed at all; until she found an old newspaper...

"Nicole Rain McRae-Willers found dead at ---------- at ----AM"

It was dated Jan 24th 19--, the exact year being redacted, but from what surrounded it it seemed to be from the mid-late 90s, why was this here? She didn't know, but she assumed nothing of it until that name fully clicked: it was the Nicole, her friend, Nicole. She went 2 years carrying this mystery in her head, until she met her one and only friend since Nicole: Kolette Cae (who preferred to be called by her lastname Cae), she seemed to have also seen Nicole as a kid and even remembers playing dolly and dress-up with the two despite Renelle's deniance of that ever happening, but she just accepted that she mis-remembered and has a new friend now. Cae kept trying to convince Renelle to investigate into Nicole with her, and after months of denying she finally caved in when Cae became more distant and shallow. Leading them both to discover more and more about her, and when they finally cracked her specific location, a now-abandoned labratory, they went there. Cae was nervous while Renelle took the lead, despite Cae being the one who begged and begged for them to see it she seemed scared and even backed out when they got close to the room she died in, Reenelle didn't though; she persisted and got to the exact spot Nicole died in, feeling the cold air of her death run through her...until she heard footsteps...they were running to her. "Oh..hey C--" shoved down that bottomless pit that once had a machine deep below. By her own best friend..... Many years later she woke up, a void of code engulfing her...where was she? Who was she? She couldn't quite remember... There was something deep in her though, a feeling of dread, as if she wasn't meant to be here. That feeling suffocated her for ages as she lived and found her new identity, a disguise if she ever escaped, and even..a new exit, maybe she should go out, whats the worst that can....huh? Theres a....guy there....maybe she should go say hi?

i had a weird dream with cheetopuff & fishcake that we because some sort of fused together god monster. that's not even weird that s. just where it starts. we dragged each other's shifting pulsating, mutated, lumpy. whatever you wanna call that body. into an underground tunnel. on the way down we got cactuses stuck in our feetand had to pull those out. some fucking. demons with glowing eyes, scales, horns, shadowy dark bodys with fluid forms, surrounded us, we tried to fight, the pinned us in some labratory setting. okay this is qhere it gets fucky. they started sloughing off our limbs, flesh, gore whatever. we ofdly alright with that. and i guess our brain thought. "okay bunny and fish, you've been decapitated before in your sources right?" so those things took us apart until we were heads. except for chee. he zoomed the hell out of there because. of course he did thats what he does. that isn't even all. the monster things. put our heads on like a shelf. set the underground tunnel on fire . we couldn't get out so we just fucking confessed all our love & shit. to each other and it was all sad. and a text woke us up so we didn't see where it would have gone from theree

i've thought about this before and how the pilot dib looks different from the series dib looks different from the movie dib ect.

im my brain, pilot dib didnt make it to the pilot cuz he was a bitey motherfucker and also really unstable. Got pulled somewhere before first grade. Series Dib made it to middle school, but he's always had some health problems, and then he had some awful heart issues so they just kinda. also pulled him. Now both of those two are just in some labratory habitat being taken care of, just in case the THIRD one dies somehow. But the third one is actually doing fine. He's not biting people or sickly. He's beating the shit out of Zim daily and he's just fine.

I'm mulling over the fact that Dib (and Gaz?) were supposed to be clones, but focusing on Dib specifically, this idea opens up many questions and concepts. In the DVD extras, Andy Berman (voice actor of Dib) explains how Jhonen and crew planned to make an episode centering on Dib discovering why his life is such a mess- only to learn that he's a clone of his father. Did Professor Membrane also have some out of the norm interest he was obsessed with as a kid but suppressed for "real" science? Did he have a similar childhood? And it's explained as if him being a clone EXPLAINS why his life sucks. Dib being a clone kind of makes sense as Professor Membrane outright said that he was supposed to be the future of the Membrane empire- who else would be able to carry on its legacy than the man himself? And what's Gaz's purpose? Maybe an experiment to make a girl out of his own DNA? There's never any expectations put on her to be into "real" science- in fact her interest in video games are always encouraged. But back to Dib; He obviously is nothing like his father aside from having his intellect. He developed his own personality early on. Are there failed Dibs? Are there previous Dibs? Are there more Dibs? Many interesting ideas that could further connect him and his father despite how distant they currently are.

...AND THEN THEY RETCONNED IT BECAUSE THE EPISODE WAS NEVER PRODUCED. GRAAAHH

holy shit they brought in siegfrieds wife after 7+ years of his solo existence. her design owns, they go together but also work well individually, they treated her well given how they altered his story and you can tell they genuinely love each other despite everything that happened but they also didnt just hand wave away all the trauma that went down

points for kreimhild having a very realistic response to finding out the truth

also i like siegfrieds wings and horns although theyre rarely brought up out of gag moments
