Hi to you 💕 black butler just dropped a teaser for the new season. I was so happy but then I remembered there will be no more Kalafina. I'm hoping that at least one of the girls will become involved in the production 😭😭

I'm so sorry, this reply wasn't meant to take so long.

Yeah, I read about the return of Black Butler. Just like you I was immediately reminded of Kalafina. While I have never watched the anime (and don't intend to do so in the future), I really adore Kalafina's songs for the show. "Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa" in particular is super precious to me since it was the song that made me fall head over heels in love with Kalafina 💕 I'm forever in love with the aesthetics and sound of this🙌

The new season is slated to premiere in 2024 so who knows what happens till then. If anything, I'd love for all three of them to become involved in the project but at this point, I wouldn't get my hopes up. What a great comeback it would be though, to return with a new song for one of their earliest and arguably most badass anime tie-ins...

Just imagine the girls back in their goth era with corsets and all for an MV😍 I'm salivating just thinking about it XD I guess a girl can dream~

i wanted to ask if you had any songs you like to associate with him? especially if there's any in french, since my french music knowledge is extremely lacking...

two of my favourites for him are notre dame by paris paloma and salvation by christabelle marbun! v v recommend them if you're at all in the mood for Rollocore Songs :3c

Ahh I can do that yes ! some songs that I think about are linked to his unhinged and fiery side, and others the grieving and solitary side of Rollo. Also the songs you recommended are neat I didn't know them, added to my playlist heehee Little idk fake album cover to go with the recommendations, no title because I had no title idea. Now for the songs I'd recommend : Lacrimosa - Kalafina Faster than the flame - Powerwolf Ricordando il passato - Akiko Shikata Iron Lotus (key ingredient version) - Mili The final battle - Tsukasa Saitoh (Elden ring ost, theme of the final boss that is in two parts, intense at first then the theme shifts to a much calmer and "holier" tone, I think it fits Rollo in a way) Songs in french : L'Assasymphonie - Mozart l'opéra rock Le bien qui fait mal - Mozart l'opéra rock C'est bientôt la fin - Mozart l'opéra rock Le temps des cathédrales - Notre-Dame de Paris Belle - Notre-Dame de Paris (sung by Quasimodo, Frollo and Phébus in the musical) Les cloches de Notre-Dame - The hunchback of Notre-dame (cheating a bit with this one since it's simply the bells of notre dame from the disney but in french) I'm not very acquainted with more recent french songs to be honest so there's now a bit old songs from two musicals. Honestly Mozart l'Opéra Rock songs are fitting for so many characters, and the bell sounds in "c'est bientôt la fin" while they sing about attending a ball and assist to the end of a world is so Rollo ringing the bell in hopes for that world without magic, for the end of mages.

Thanks so so much from @verba-writing for the tag! I had such a fun time reading your answers too and I'm very excited for paranormal romance 😍

I feel like I wanna flag that a lot of my answers are very anime/gaming-sphere oriented and I hope I'm not totally alienating my mutuals by revealing just HOW MUCH I'm not a book person lololol But this is with what we're working:

The Questions are:

1. What was the first part of your wip that you created?

The very first thing I made was the high premise: It was synthesized from the Overly Sarcastic Productions question "What if all the Kings Under the Mountain came back...?" and then I added the context "...in a Nuclear Crisis to discuss piece?" And in my head, it was this HBO-style modern fantasy Game of Thrones meets West Wing type deal. But then... I didn't want to write the modern piece. (The modern piece should be written by people in countries from all over Europe about what it means to be a hero in various cultures.)

So I set it in 1800s fantasy world instead!

2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?

The first arc would be Dance in the Game by Zaq

The second arc would be Lacrimosa by Kalafina

The Gods' Arc would be Paper Boquet by Mili

3. Who are your favourite characters you've made? Why?

Is it to cliché to be like "my current self-insert protagonist is my favorite character I've ever made"? Her and my antagonist are just THE BEST and I love them.

4. What other pieces of media do you think would share a fan base for your story?

Mmm, I think Untitled Yssaia Game's story would appeal to queer Game of Thrones fans who could FEEL the straightness in GoT, especially if they also like anime. I would hope I could get general anime fans as well as Arcane and Genshin Impact fans, but I feel like those are too mainstream and Yssaia is not. Realistically, I think I'm gonna get the Wadanohara people and the Ib people and, if I get really lucky, the To the Moon people.

5. What has been your biggest struggle with your wip?

Marketing lol -- explaining what it is to people in a way that they realize they want it.

6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!

Fuafua 🥺🥺🥺

Look at her! She is a six-legged, six-eyed slug cat called a Maret. Marets fill the same role as ocelots in Yssaia, except they're more semi-aquatic like otters and their skin has a stressball-like texture.

7. How do your characters get around? (ex: trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)

They walk or ride Rumateurs (which are alpaca-like beings with ossicones) or take ships or airships or trains. I don't like writing about travel that much though so it is a background element.

8. What part of your wip are you working on rn?

I am pre-editing the first arc for my alpha readers and the third arc has another 50k to 100k words to draft. We're at like 250k words total right now and it is so unwieldy 😭😭😭

9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) of your wip do you think will draw people in?

Oh, I have a convenient graphic for this. Hang on...

10. What are your hopes for your wip?

I was just diatribing about this earlier but the DREAM is to turn it into an RPGmaker adventure game and have it go viral and make a million bucks off it. I'd love to be the next Undertale but it'll never happen because I am not positioned to be the next Undertale, you know?

Wow, she talked A LOT about cleaning this time XD And she was so embarrassed that she didn’t know anything about Monster Hunter. Also, so much nostalgia when she remembered Kalafina’s appearance in the music program Anipara Ongakukan in 2009. For context, Keiko attended a JAM Project live the other day and their lead singer Hironobu Kageyama used to host the show back in the day. He did a little collab with Kalafina, they performed “Lacrimosa” together.

First is "A Good Song Never Dies", next the Demon Slayer Red Light District OP, "Le Bals des Chats", "Dúlaman" (Celtic Woman), "My Type", "The Chain". What next? DonBrothers and Kiramager ending (haven't even watched Kiramager); next "Van Horn", "GIRI GIRI" (Kaguya-sama OP3).
