Once he had found the Clone, he raised his voice and made sure everyone in attendance heard him sneer. “—Marshal Commander Cody.” Head down, stylus in hand, Cody had found a place for himself at one of the worktables. Writing: ...okay yeah it's Cars fanfiction I got invested (did you know Lightning is a dino nerd? cuz he is and I love him for it)

“I was hanging out late at the pit,” Strip starts, eyes on the drink in his hands, “the ‘bird didn’t feel quite right after that one turn at the end, wanted them to have a look at it and ended up helping fix the minor issue. After that we went around the trailers and I heard arguing, one-sided arguing at that, from further down. Turns out it was coming from the Rust-eze trailer.” He stops, wanting to say more but reconsiders at the last moment to pivot to say something else, brown eyes meeting Lynda’s blue ones, “Tell me, if you were an agent for a rookie, who’s in their first season in the big leagues, what would you do after they’d gotten fourth?” 

“I’d be pleased, and proud, of course.” She answers without much thought. Who wouldn’t be, with a rookie placing so high? In his first professional season, to boot, and at his age, top 5 was better than most could ask for.

Tagged by @battlekilt. I was tagged by someone previously, but I didn't answer and so here I am. This is a very, very short bit of the upcoming Senator of the Forsaken chapter, as I just sat down to writing after moving houses, which is also the reason why I was absent (sorry guys, I will do my best to finish the chapter in a few days). But for now, enjoy!

When the twin suns were at their peak, it was near impossible to stay out in the open. It was very easy to get dehydrated and burned by the suns’ radiation, so all of the countrymen would head home and take a break, to wait the weather out. Once there, they could sit around a table in the shade, eat a homemade meal and talk, or just take a nap on the soft grass. It served as a nice opportunity to take a breather and for Rex to socialize a little bit. He still haven’t made any closer acquaintances back on Coruscant and although he didn’t want to admit it, he felt pretty lonely. Oh, who was he trying to fool, he felt very lonely. He went from being surrounded by his brothers and sisters to being pretty much the only clone in the Senate. The other guards wouldn’t talk to him, thinking it to be beneath them. He would be lucky to hear a derogatory slur from them as he walked by, as most of the time they didn’t even acknowledge his presence. But the people on Tatooine didn’t seem to mind having a clone around. They took the time to learn his name, made casual small talk, heck, some kids even asked him to join them in a game of borgleball, which he of course won, as they had a hard time knocking him to the ground. It was… nice. As the two men reached the settlement, a sudden roar, the one resembling a wild beast, caused them to whip their heads around, in search of the source of the noise. They watched as a podracer passed them by, the gush of wind knocking Kogiz’s hat off of his head. It made the man scowl as he chased it before it could roll down the sandy dune, while Rex observed the vehicle. “Look at that madman, in that death machine…” he found himself saying, to no one in particular. “…isn’t that the senator?” Kogiz walked up to him, his sand-covered hat clutched in his hand. “That looks awful like his podracer.” Rex glanced at his companion, furrowing his brows in surprise. “What are you talking…” but as he shielded his eyes and took a better look at the vehicle, he realized that the farmer was right. “That is the senator! What the fu-!”
