A low curse slipped from her, visible from hot breath in cold air, before she turned back to Raphael. “There’s a demon here tonight.” Whatever expression she set upon him was something crazed and unsteady, dark eyes darted behind him once, and then twice. “She looks like something loved, but lost.” An uneasy smile curved at her mouth, bearing too many teeth. “Sometimes, she sets the world on fire. What if the MC and the dateable are dating, but then one day the MC had an accident and got amnesia? The MC couldn't remember anyone, including the dateable. When the dateable heard the news, they were worried and hurried to visit the MC in the hospital. But when they met the MC for the first time after the accident, the MC was like, "Hi cute stranger, wanna date? I can't remember my own name, but I want to remember your phone number. (wink)" And in the next two hours, the MC tries to rizz up the dateable, not knowing they are already dating.

I feel like each dateable's reaction totally depends on who it is, lmao. Sawyer would be 100% Ethics Mode and be like "I can't accept your flirtations until you're totally cognizant again!!", whereas Hex would be like "ok let's jog your memory. Remember this?? :) :) :)" and start showing the Player assorted random items from DIK, like, an old potato or Horsemike's bong

Jean is finally worn down by Cat and Laila and Jeremy to try bubble tea with them. They get him the plainest flavor, only an inkling of sweet sugar to ease him into it.

After 5 minutes the group considers this a win. Jean hasn't been chatting with the rest of them, but he's been focussed on his drink, not complaining about it or the calories or how this single sweet treat will cost them championships.

Then, Jean leans close to his napkin over the table where they sit outside and spits about ten pearls out like a cat. They look on with horror - Jean had just been storing them in his mouth the whole time.

He grimaces, "I do not like the little balls," then goes back to his drink.

my jean & neil qpr agenda (part 1?)

after Neil orders the hit and Greyson becomes another Former Raven statistic for the media to go wild with, Jean ends up texting Neil. It's definitely not a thank you, but both of them know it kinda is (prob something like "you're an insufferable disease" lol)

They don't have contact for a while, but one day Neil reaches out by sending Jean the most atrocious multilingual French meme with "Kevin doesn't appreciate me or my humor, this is a hate crime"

It's sporadic from there, and maybe at one point they meet up while Neil and Andrew are on their summer road trip. Neil and Andrew end up in Colorado, and Jeremy, Cat, and Laila practically drag Jean there to see them (he'll deny that he had a good time, but he really did)

Andrew and Jean have a bizarre and interesting dynamic where they don't speak to each other often, but they eventually grow a mutual respect and shoot each other Looks about their "I'm Fine" partners. They don't mind just sitting in the same room and sharing space while they do their separate things.

When Jean and Jeremy start their pottery class, Jean takes to it like a fish to water.

He ends up majoring in Ceramics & Multimedia Art. Something about using his hands to create, rather than destroy.

He makes Neil a little exy racket charm for his keychain.

At one point, Jeremy makes a gc with Jean, Neil, Kevin, and Andrew on impulse. Jean "hates" it but doesn't leave the group chat. Andrew only stays in it because he can mute it, and it's useful for when they plan to meet up sometimes. It also makes Neil happy and it's not something he really minds

Jean also takes LOTS of pictures. With his phone, his friends' phones, a polaroid camera he gets as a gift from Cat, anything he can get his hands on. He hangs them up on his half of the room with Jeremy.

Eventually Jeremy and Jean do get separate rooms. They usually still sleep in the same room, but it's an important milestone for Jean and his recovery. Being able to have his own space, and know he's allowed to control who comes in it.

He decorates that room so much it's chaotic and beautiful and there's probably little pencil doodles on the wall next to his bed from when he can't sleep. He tends to draw daffodils :]

It becomes a bit of a tradition to meet Neil and Andrew every summer.

When they go pro, Jean and Neil end up on teams only a few hours' drive from each other. Neil and Andrew start on the same team, but the whole Minyard-Josten Rivalry is still a Thing because they're always shooting heated Russian at each other while "glaring" and no one else seems to realize it's their equivalent of flirting.

Jean thinks it's hilarious. He harasses Neil about it constantly.

Him and Kevin eventually mend their friendship, and they care about each other a lot.

Neil probably made the three of them matching "I survived Castle Evermore" shirts just to be a menace, and then Jean and Kevin have to make him swear that he'll never wear it in public.

Neil has a habit of just. Showing up at Jean's house and crashing sometimes.

Jeremy at one point jokes that he'll have to fight Neil for Jean's time in the future, but he's not really worried. They're happier when they spend time together. Jeremy and Andrew are chill with it.

When they meet up for the first time after a game between their pro teams, none of their teammates have any clue what's going on. Jean and Neil insult each other ferociously, but also can't seem to resist hip-checks and shoulder bumps and almost affectionate shoves.

Neil constantly sidles up to Jean and pretends like he doesn't know what he's doing. Jean usually responds by absently grabbing his hand so he knows where he is.

They are literally a cat and dog. Neil will deny that he's being caring or affectionate towards Jean all day long while actively attempting to be in Jean's space, and Jean practically perks up when Neil enters a room.

When their teams play against each other, they talk in French sometimes. Their checks are always a bit brutal (they know very well how far the other can be pushed before they break) but they help each other up at the end of quarters.

Jean is constantly antagonizing Neil by smiling and complimenting his striker skills while blocking him, and Neil is constantly taunting him with words that are plenty sharp, but never actually aimed for vital spots

Jean gets a service dog and Jeremy decides to name her Mr. Barkbark Flufferpants, following Andrew & Neil's naming scheme for their cats. They usually just call her "Mr."

When they make Court, the two of them practically live in each other's pockets.

Jeremy and Andrew watch both exasperatedly and amusedly (though Andrew just calls it annoyance when asked) as the two of them dance around their Big Queer Platonic Feelings

When they finally manage to actually communicate about it, it goes something like "Idk what's happening, I'm kinda obsessed with you but it is Not Romantic and I don't know what to do with that." And then "Oh thank hell, me too, I thought I was even weirder than I already am. Wanna go harrass the fbi together?" "No."

They become even more attached at the hip after that, can practically finish each other's sentences. It's like they freaking mind melded tbh.

At first Kevin gets worried that they're slipping into old habits from the Nest, especially Jean, but when he brings it up to Andrew and Jeremy, Andrew just goes "No, they're idiots." and Jeremy nods and says "I think they're in a honeymoon phase. If we see them slipping, we'll pull them out."

Kevin decides to wait and watch, and thankfully their relationship ends up being as healthy as Neil and Jean can be. There might be a little codependence going on, but they have other people and other grounding forces to help intervene if it seems to be unbalancing.

They both put each other on their emergency contacts list.

It's a common sight to find the two of them twisted into impossible positions together just doing their own things, Jean drawing, Neil watching reruns of Exy matches, whatever.

Their dynamic just becomes Jean, who genuinely grows up to be a pretty chill dude, and Neil, who's an absolute gremlin. Except they kinda absorb each other's personalities, so they're both little shits together. They fit.

There is definitely all sorts of weird conversations that they have at 2AM in little sleepovers they do together (sometimes with Kevin, Jeremy, or Andrew) because they never got that as kids.

I bet Neil mercilessly teases Jean for being allosexual, especially when he gets flustered (all in good fun, of course)

Jean just snarks back with a "shut up, I literally saw you look at Andrew like a besotted elderly man with his partner of fifty years like five minutes ago." Neil sticks out his tongue at him.

Jean actually can sometimes read the ways that Neil and Andrew show affection for each other because of how much time he spends around them, which leads to him occasionally getting confused when other people don't automatically Get It

Neil takes a while to warm up to Jeremy because he seems Too Nice, but once he does he helps Jeremy plan to absolutely torment Jean with silly little romantic gestures that make him flush all the way down to his neck

At one point Neil tries to get Jean to explain what it feels like to be sexually attracted to someone without knowing them really closely, and it leads to a really surprisingly deep conversation about attraction before it turns into neil making dick jokes.

Cat and Laila still keep in close contact with Jean, as well as Renee. They make sure to meet up as often as they can. Cat and Jean always go for a bike ride together and they all cook dinner as a group.

They're both cuddle monsters when in the right mood. They also have the convenient ability to fall asleep Anywhere when they feel safe. So finding them curled up together in weird places at home is pretty commonplace.

They're forever partners, not in the way that the world and the Nest tried to make them be, but in a way that they created themselves.

It doesn't have to be romantic to be special, and if anyone ever suggested that they should be in a romantic relationship, they would both look at that person with absolute judgement and disgust. This person interrupted their conversation. They were talking shit about someone. Neil is lounging in Jean's lap. Andrew is saying he hates them both, and Jeremy is cackling at it all while taking a low-res picture for Cat and Laila.

idk i have a Lot of thoughts and could keep going. (i might write a fic if anyone wants to read it, and I'll definitely write little snippets for myself if I get the time. )

Mohammed has a little brother and sister, both left critically injured by occupier bombardment and currently needs your help getting them medical treatment! I have chatted with Mohammed a few times and he seems like a wonderful and protective brother, who just wants to do everything he can to help his family. Will you respond to his call?

Hashim & Laila- @hashimsafadi (€1,219)

Laila and Hashim's fundraiser has been vetted by Pali Pals. @victoriawhimsey and others have trying to get them to their short-term goal of €5,000 for months now, but has so far been unsuccessful. Before Oct 7, Hashim was previously NGO coordinator, and Laila a lab specialist in the agriculture ministry. They were happy and had plans of starting a family together. Now their home is destroyed, their careers lost, and their dreams halted. They have already been displaced several times due to orders from occupiers.

Laila and Hashim have already done everything they've needed to do. They've made themselves known online. They're vetted. They put photos and videos of their situation up. They come on frequently to campaign for themselves. What more do you need from them? What will it take for you to finally respond?

Mohammed's fundraiser has been vetted by Pali Pals. Mohammed is an 18 year-old medical student who is studying in Qatar. He previously needed €3,000 in tuition fees to start his semester. He reached his goal, but his journey is far from over.

Mohammed is at risk everyday of being deported back to Gaza if he does not meet his school's financial requirements. This cannot happen. He needs €20,000 to make it through the school year. He has not received a donation in 2 days, despite being spotlighted by @/victoriawhimsey and @/dlxxv-vetted-donations. Please don't forget about Mohammed!

Ruba Abushahan- @rubashsblog and @iyadsobhegaza ($4,210 + CHF166)

Ruba is listed at #90 on the Vetted Gaza Evacuation Fundraiser List, and perhaps is one of the most heartbreaking and frustrating cases I've read about. Ruba had previously raised 27K on her old gofundme (which is listed in the link verification), but the funds were placed on hold with gofundme still slowly processing her appeal to release them. Two other fundraisers have luckily been set up, so people have been requesting refunds from her old gofundme to donate to her new ones, but still, the process has been going depressingly slowly. She has also been spotlighted by @neptunerings and @heliopixels, but it has not been enough.

Ruba is currently in hospital, recovering from an injury she got while being forced to move again. Iyad suffers from a weak heart and needs medical care now. Can people please help them out?

Hey, you have a headache?

It was messages like these, full of so much care and thoughtfulness, that made me remember why i ignored the man in the first place. I'm a mess, i get emotional and attached and no one would want to date that. 

No, thank you for last night.

I don't remember much, just that Jensen helped me into my house and into bed, i'm not sure where he went after that, probably the hospital. I called Jack this morning and he told me where they both were, i made sure to tell her that i'll be there and to make sure she was okay.

You took the Cataflam on the nightstand? 

You were really tired.

He doesn't answer my 'thank you', so he doesn't let the conversation end, but i don't want to talk to him, not after last night. I hate being that way with people, especially after i spent years of my life trying not to be that person. Everyone in my life left me when they saw how high maintenance i am, learning from my mistakes only after i make them over and over, it makes me a child in their eyes. The thing is, it does in mine too, because i've been like this since i was 18, and it's put such a heavy strain on me that I felt stuck for years.

I'm fine Jensen, really.

"Rach? Oh my God." I run over to her, hugging her harshly and she winced underneath me, it doesn't faze me as much as it should though because i am just so relived she's fine.

"Lils, i'm so sorry i did this to you, i shouldn't have sprung that onto you i'm so sorry." I can't believe she's in a hospital bed and apologizing for 'springing this on me'. I love this woman.

"Shut up." I hug her again, quickly and tightly, before saying hi to everyone else; Jack, Gen, Alona and Adri. We all just sit there, laughing and helping her keep her mood up when a soft knock comes from the door. I don't look up from my phone to text my mum a quick 'I'm okay' text. 

"Hey, sweetheart." Husky, rough, sugary, thick; pick your poison. Jensen's voice made him Jensen in a way beyond explaining, it made him so Jensen that i wouldn't know what to do if i don't hear his 'good morning' every other day on set. 

Rachel responds to his endearment with a smile and hugs him. When they let go places the flowers he bought her on the nightstand. "Get well soon, darlin'." She nods, corner of her lip tugging into a smile but it hardly reaches far with how much pain she's in so he just stands next to Jared & Jack, on her left, us on her right.

Jensen says a quick 'hey guys' to the girls but then he just stared at me for a few seconds before smiling, and i smile back, then face the floor, leaning on Alona's shoulder and she rubs my back.

A few hours of all of us chearing Rach up, and grabbing food, quickly pass and everyone needs to go home because shooting is still happening tomorrow. They're grateful they even got today off (though the whole team has been understanding of Rachel's situation).

I stand up to wish everybody well with a 'bye' and a hug since i'm staying the night with Jack. When i'm done, Jensen walks over to me expectantly and i just wish everything would go back to how it was three days ago, maybe we could've even gone on our little date. 

"Hey." It sounds like i'm out of breath but he smiles nonetheless and it's infectious in the best way possible.

"Hey, laila." He says, stepping closer before Jared quickly breaks us up by calling out my name.

"What time do you want me to come take you?" I'm about to respond when Jensen shakes his head in Jared's direction, which is enough for him to apparently get the message so he leaves. 

"What was that?"

"I'll come pick you up, whatever time you want. Jared wants to be with gen right now, she needs him." He doesn't mean any harm, in fact he means so well it makes my heart swell, but in my head his tone has an underlying tone as if to say 'you're burdening them so i'm taking the weight a little'.

"You don't need to, i can walk or uber, i'm close anyways." 

"You're twenty minutes away."

"That's close." He shakes his head, insisting on his offer. 

"I'm picking you up, what time?"

"Anytime. Get me on your way back home from set." He nods and i look up to notice his eyes for the first time. Not the first time ever, obviously Jensen's eyes are hard not to notice, but with how often i keep my eyes on the ground around him i don't usually get to see how truly beautiful they are. 

"I'll be here, stay safe, Laila." It shakes me out of my thoughts and i mutter a 'dont worry' before walking away to Rach's bed quickly. 

God, i want this day to end, it's already nine in the evening and i'm ready to call it a day on the chair next to her bed. 

Me and Rachel talk for a while, and then i keep talking more until her eyes close involuntarily and i finally feel myself relax into a deep sleep too.

"Laila?" Jensen's hurried voice wakes me up with a gasp, scanning my surroundings so fast it almost gives me whiplash, and it actually does give me a migraine.

I groan, hands over my eyes, rubbing them while he hands me a glass of water from the small desk next to me. "Here, it's past two." 

Oh my God.

"Jensen, you're joking! I'm so sorry i totally lost track of time, i've just been so tired—"

"Hey, it's fine," he smiles, his hand reaches my face to stroke away some flyaway strands of hair. "You're good, just get ready so you can sleep in an actual bed." I let out a small laugh and nod, moving to the bathroom after kissing rachel's head on my way there.

I get home in one piece, and with little to no damage to my reputation with Jensen. I ask him how set was, how filming been. He asks me what I did yesterday. And just as i'm about to thank him again for the umpteenth time before leaving, he locks his car doors. I furrow my eyebrows and look up at him.

"Tell me what's wrong."

He lowers the radio down till it's barely audible as i let out a confused, "What?" 

"Tell me why you've been acting like this for however long we've known each other. You're okay with everyone else, then i come into a room and suddenly you have to get to work or make breakfast or paint your car. I need to know what's making you act like this." He says it with such frustration and it makes me feel guilty for all the things i've done to him but can't undo, or worst yet, i wouldn't. 

It digs up too many memories. It isn't like i'm in love with jensen, i just like him a little too much and i don't have experience with that, in fact, i've never dated a guy, so my small crush turned into a small overreaction. Besides, before I can to America all I could hear, every single day was how 'obsessive' or 'high maintenance' I am, it stuck with me for as long as I remember, I've tried to never get attached to people. I'm still trying.

"Nothing, seriously. I was just stupid the first day we met." I decide telling half the truth, "i thought you were attractive so i kind of got embarrassed and made it seem like I'm just shy or something. Couldn't go back and make you think i was stupid." 

"But making me think you hate me was better? If you're embarrassed, you laugh it off, you don't ignore the person for years. Besides, you thought i was hot? Laila, you're fucking gorgeous, but i don't run away from you." i shouldn't be smiling as much as i am right now, or blushing, but i can't help it, he's just been really honest in a way that kind of makes me feel more embarrassed. But the good kind, if there's even such a thing. it takes a bit of the guilt too, to know i wasn't the only one with those thoughts. Especially since he was with Danneel at the time. 

I think this the most me and Jensen have ever talked in one sitting.

"Okay... i'm sorry. I just, they're habits you know? And i didn't know what to do, i'm sorry. New beginnings?" He nods with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.

"New beginnings. I'd like for us to hang out eventually, without Jared's help this time." I laugh and make it a point to be as genuine as i can seem about making plans.

There's no doubt that Jared is the biggest hearted person i've ever met, but more than that, he's busy and almost always emotionally unavailable unless it's gen, which is why i opt for Rachel with these things, i can talk for days and she'd never get tired. And I don't mind that Jared doesn't like me talking too much about my feelings, I know it overwhelms him too.

I laugh, hearting the message and closing my phone. I think it's time to get some work done.

i've always found it hard to balance both my outside life and school life but ever since i've been friends with Jared i've hardly had problems with it, they're usually too busy to hang out because of their crazy schedules and i'm too scared to ask anyways so it works out in my favor. 

Besides, i've gotten to see them a little more as of recently since i've been doing modeling. An agency took me in a year ago but when the contract ended 6 months later they dropped me so i've been trying to find another job to help with money, not that my parents don't send any, but i'd like to be prepared. 

It doesn't take long for me to miss Rach while i try to finish the cardiovascular system module. What happened to my best friend, someone i love more that anything... It's scary. I don't want to think of what could possibly happen if it had went further.

Yeah, I'm not getting work done. I decide to go to make food instead.

Hallie doesn't spend too long at the club, feeling a little guilty for leaving in the middle of a kodack family moment. But it can get so stifling in that house. Sometimes she misses the freedom of having no responsibilities.

It's a little awkward when she realizes Matthews new wife Ashley is there (and apparently they just had a baby???) so she spends most of the night chatting to Laila, from college. Turns out it’s mainly because I wouldn’t take breaks to indulge in my other hobbies, thus making me not like writing anymore. I played some splatoon (big run) with elk and fucked around in side order for an embarrassingly long time and I got a TON of writing motivation back now!!! I need to get some sleep soon though as I’m stepping out for a bit later

ALSO ALSO I might, MIGHT be introducing Kit soon, the TPOF/Older version of my persona Mel/Spencer. He’ll be a side blog on this account so I can keep up with it better! The rest of this will just be a ramble about Kit so if you’re not interested in that you can ignore what’s under the cut! ))

((I’ve been wanting to introduce him for a while, he’s basically Fox’s right hand man and often watches over his auctions and streams in a hidden room/area to make sure nothing goes wrong, hence his nickname “The Observer”.

Kit is somewhat nicer towards Fox’s “products”/co-stars/pets, even sneaking them some snacks and ways to entertain themselves if he likes them enough. He will still torment them, but in ways that get under their skin instead of actual torture. Sometimes he assists Fox during streams, but that’s VERY rare to see.

Kit also moderates Fox’s chat, but he sometimes purposely doesn’t ban people right away if their insults towards the other is funny as FUCK (to him anyway.) He will eventually actually do it just so that ginger fuck won’t ring his neck though LOL.

As for how I’ll introduce him, I’ll say Kit went on a lengthy vacation and is finally back at work LOL.

Also yes, he still thinks about and misses Strade deeply. Kit still has affectionate feelings toward him and arguably, has better memories of him than Fox does. The possibility of Strade running around freely via the situation with Kaylee and Laila makes me think now would be a REALLY good time to introduce Kit here.
