Last night I got high as fuck before going to sleep and I had the most vivid dream that I was in a group chat on tumblr but the members were my classmates from middle school. I hated them back then and I haven't spoken to them in 8 years. But for some reason I was venting to them about klance. I clearly remember sending voice messages saying that the only reason klance didn't become canon was because it'd be too predictable and they thought a "no way!!" couple was a better idea for the show. I mean, Keith and Lance were so obviously shippable it was painful. Ice and fire, rivals that ended up soft asf for each other, black cat x golden retriever, introvert x extrovert, no family x big family. Of COURSE had they been in any other show they'd be making out by season 4. And also, in "voltron: defender of the universe" Keith ended up with Allura, so no one expected a paladin to end up with her in the new version, especially since they portrayed her 100 times stronger and badass and unaffected by Lance's flirting. They just wanted to throw us off guard, building up to the perfect couple but not really building up to it, only making it obvious for the trained eye. Then I started feeling really embarrassed because no one was answering and I got a private dm from my friend telling me klance WASN'T platonic in canon, but it was just Keith having an unrequited crush for 8 seasons straight. It really made me think. They were actually hinting to it, but they couldn't say so because they knew they wouldn't actually be together in the end. I'm probably not making any sense but nothing makes sense.

Btw this made me realize I really need to get a life so today I went out and literally got a job lmao

And later Hunk yells at him cause he's known Lance a while and there's no way with the trust issues he displayed at the very beginning that he wouldn't have kept his beady eyes trained on Lance so it ended up with Lance having to track Rolo instead and they have to switch up their plan

Especially since there're three very important things on the list that I haven't TOUCHED in a while.

Musical Diplomacy/Book History

1. Slim reading. (So it turns out that reading was three book chapters long.)

2. Ryan reading. (Also a decently large reading.)

3. Start finding sources for the final paper. (WOW I ACTUALLY DID WORK ON THIS)

Theory

4. Look at the lecture slides. (Yeah, okay, that took all of five minutes.)

Thesis

5. Put together one case study. (Which really means I need to start gathering critic reviews and listener comments. It's rabbit hole stuff. Rabbit hole stuff is FUN once I take the leap.)

6. Study. (*groan*)

7. Prep my guest lecture for next week. (If I do it this week I won't have to freak out about it next week!)

So like rewatching Journeys made me realize we not gonna talk about how my man literally broke the laws of physics? I mean, I can’t find the gif of it, but we can literally see the bottom of Lance’s boots! This is what he does in cannon! So this isn’t some fancy animation trick, well, it is, but this is cannon! How tf does he not fall? Not only did my man get to top 2 in the M8, but he also figured out a way to break physics. You gotta give him that. Is this my delusional side gaslighting myself into thinking that Lance has stuff going for him because the fandom and TPCI shafts my man at every turn?
