Kirei should be mad. Should feel ire, should feel slighted at the fact that his Servant, a mass of mana who donned flesh and blood like a costume and was bound to him, was defying him. And yet, he feels nothing. Not even exasperation as the red-haired man before him flipped through a magecraft text sitting on the table before them.

When Kirei summoned Assassin as his Servant, he would be lying if he stated he hadn't been he had been expecting dark cloaks and a masked face, like every other Assassin from the Grail Wars recorded before. Instead, he got something… loud and garish.

Something red.

Assassin was not a typical assassin and refused to give his name.

Red clothes, red hair, red makeup, and Chinese in origin… he couldn’t place them— but he knew he was not one of the many hashashin who had come before him.

Granted, Kirie's… grasp on Chinese Assassins was lacking. He could name a few who were important to history, but there was no way this one was any of them. Too flashy, too comfortable in a modern atmosphere, and he had laughed when Kirei asked if he was the famed Jing Ke or Yan Qing.

And rather loudly at that.

Assassin was something of a mystery, despite his loud appearance and actions. The Servant was much bolder than one would think an Assassin would be, actively moving about the Tohsaka house before Tokiomi summoned the Archer Gilgamesh. So much so that Rin had asked Kirei about the “Redheaded Mister” more than once because he would help Aoi with cooking and she liked his cooking.

Again, another weird point that tied back to that ease of comfort in a more modern world. Assassin easily navigated the kitchen stove and radio— and while he knew that Servants were granted knowledge of the Modern world from the Grail, it was still odd. The familiarity wasn't that of a man who knew in the sense of having been told, but one who moved with the sense of having used one before.

Nonetheless, the fact remained that Assassin was a mystery despite how much he interacted with ease and talked to the Tohsaka family and him. Kirei would've assumed that, because of that, the Servant would have no qualms, however. It wasn't as if the man got attached— had he?

“What you’re asking of me is something that is… distasteful,” Assassin continued, seemingly unaware or perhaps uncaring that Kirei was at a loss. “I may be an Assassin but I am no idiot, though you might be."

Dark eyes met his own, reflecting the candles that adorned the walls. He was deadly serious, Kirei realized. And again, he was startled at the sheer amount of nothing he felt. He should feel annoyed, at least a little bit.

Tokiomi’s plan was already falling apart.

“Are you not my Servant?” He found himself asking and Assassin snorted, closing the book with a snap.

“You might be my Master, Kotomine Kirei, but that’s in name only. I will consider your orders, and ruminate on them, but that is all. If I act or not is my choice and mine alone,” Assassin said simply, not looking at Kirei again as he set the book down. “Feel free to use your command seals, though I can assure you, there’s only so far that will take you in this war."

Li Shuwen (Lancer) - Fate/Grand Order

Dear BB,

get rekt lmao. The fact that she allowed me to field a Saber for most maps is her downfall, what with my maximum upgraded Bedi ready to slap any and all enemies to dust. (yeah, I didn't need to buff at all to defeat Li Shuwen, it was just for catharsis. And yes, the one remaining chest is bugging me lol.)

Usually Osakabehime is my absolute ruler of Grail Fronts, but the presence of Alter Egos made me have to rely more on Bedi, Gareth, and Astraea (who was supposed to be my BB killer for this map, but I mistimed her approach and she got NP'd). I did use a Command Spell heal on Bedi since he was my last remaining unit, but it wasn't totally necessary since after defeating the Summer BB unit it was a cakewalk with the only remaining enemies being two Lancers (Jaguar Warrior and Li Shuwen).

I still have to replay this map and the 6th map to get some items, but otherwise, I'm done with the Moonsault!

JJK & FGO realization

Dang, how did I not realize until now that Assassin Li Shuwen (FGO) and Nanami Kento (JJK) have the same hair and glasses design (first ascension for Li).

I just realized it while playing FGO and taking Old Man Li support for a battle.

Another connection I made is that they both can punch things/people and it will wound them critically. Also they have an optional weapon they can use. Though in Li Shuwen’s case it is when he goes to his Lancer form.

Now I want a crossover or AU where Old Man Li gets summoned and makes Nanami a Pseudo-Servant during the Shibuya arc and makes a havoc of things. Like the old man in Nanami’s 28 year old body will have a blast punching through Curses and finding strong opponents to fight. While Nanami is either unconscious during the whole ordeal, is watching through the weirdest out of body experience he has experienced, or is going to get control of his body back after all of this and find out it is on the brink of death through exhaustion

Then if they encounter Mahito at any point while he transfigures humans into Curses:

Old Man Li’s thought in Nanami’s Body: -Oh, there is a patchwork looking humanoid that is the source of these strange monsters that feel vaguely human? Let’s punch him.-

That ending could have more dramatic flair, but that is the general idea. With Old Man Li!Nanami parading around the chaotic Shibuya in the Old Man’s fur rimmed coat. Punching any and all Curses. Also almost dying/dying to Sukuna at one point in a glorious battle that had the old man giving a feral grin like he is a Lancer

Fate samurai Remnant cast part 3: Rogue edition.

These guys don't have a master and you can recruit them. New ones have their names concealed. Others who appeared in other media before have their names revealed.

Rogue Saber- white knight on a white horse. Wields the power of the sun. Duels Rider because symbolism.

Rogue Berserker- Largest lad. Berseker is the strongest. Guards yoshiwara alongisde musashi. Bigger than most houses. His most powerful attack is a German suplex.

Rogue rider- Tamamo Aria: one of the Tamamo 9. Likes beautiful things. Sleepy baby. Has a giant pet fox. Preferred mode of transportation is being carried piggyback.

Rogue Lancer Cu Chulainn: Irish Hercules. Has arguably the worst luck in the series. Dies in almost every appearance he's been in.

Rogue Assassin Li shuwen- Was summoned to Edo Japan from the future. Enjoys hot tea, peaceful walks, gives excellent massages. Master of a fighting style that is basically Fist of the North Star.

Rogue Archer Arjuna- hero of the mahabarata from India. Stickler for rules. Actually pretty chill this time because his brother isn't here.

Rogue caster Circe: Witch from the Greek Odyssey. Excellent cook. Makes a porridge that turns people into pigs. Can use the bird cloak to actually fly.

Gilgamesh- King of Heroes. This time around he runs a shop that stocks rare and overpriced goods. Is generally a dick to everyone except kids. He's this game's secret boss. Has a joke ending where you just abandon the main story and go travel the world with him solving Mysteries.
