It’s not Halloween or even close to it, but I’ve had this cut and ready to sew together for a few months. I had a free afternoon and decided to get it off my wip pile.
(Now it’s in my to-be-quilted pile lol)

My lap blanket made out of Tunisian crochet stitch pattern samples is nearly done.
I only have the tiresome, and boring, work of weaving in ends left, and attempt some kind of blocking of the blanket.
It's wonky and I love it. All squares are the same number of stitches and rows, but the different patterns build height/width differently.

And so it ends. Thought about adding more border with either the gray or brown. But I’m reconsidering.

Update on lap blanket - as promised
The first five squares in the first colour
Very quick knits. As I said, the lace pattern was the trickiest. And I cheated a little with the two colour heart. Instead of knitting the two colours as the pattern suggested, I Swiss darned the dark pink in

A much more recent piece, and I'm not talking about Winston, my trusty bulldog plush. In moving to New England, I needed a blanket to keep me warm on the train. In the days leading up to my leaving California, I worked up this cute black and orange blanket! This blanket continues to be used by me, and was a fun little project to have crocheted for myself.

My coffee is cold, but my little dog is curled up comfortably with me under my lap blanket, so I can't go get more coffee. She's using my ankle for a pillow.

I had a nice pastel jelly roll and found this cute pattern at MSQC. I picked out the light teal for the pinwheel accent and a soft beige for the border and binding and did some simple straight line quilting on my domestic.
I should do this again. It was fun and fast and looks great.

What would Kirtch do if his human just sleeps a lot, like it's not to avoid him or to get back at him for anything. That's just the kind of person they are. Like it's just really easy for them to sleep if they aren't actively doing anything, and they could even fall asleep on him if they are just sitting there long enough. Like if I'm not at work or college or actively doing something around the house, for example I could be reading a book, on my phone, or just watching TV and the next thing I know I'm waking up from a nap I did not intend to take.
You mean like a ✨cat✨ he would only be concerned if (Reader) showed other signs of depression or physical illness he wouldn't hate it.
He'd be doing all the silly shit humans do with cats, like trying to catch (Reader) while they're getting sleepy so he can (hopefully) have them sleep on his lap. He does a lot of office work, and if he can trick (Reader) into having more physical contact with him it would be a dream come true.
