This was the first heart I did in this pattern. I loved it so much I made two more.

This was made with a layer cake, two different accents, and some border fabric.

It’s laid out on a queen, but it’s terribly short all the way around. A twin or double would be better.

I really love how dramatic the black around the center heart looks.

Yes, a pox of the house of rowling, but i have an eight year old niece who’s been swearing up and down for over a year that she’s a hufflepuff.

There’s probably too much blue, but there was only so much hp fabric i could get my hands on. (And i sure as fuck wasn’t about to buy some and contribute to that shit. This is all thrifted stuff i got for free.)

I have one more yellow border to add before I put this one the longarm and quilt it. I’m gonna do yellow cuddletex on the back and bind in the black with yellow dots.

Definitely gonna make this pattern again because it looks great, but high key wanna spit in disgust every time I look at this particular version.

Quilttop done. I'm going to put it aside for a while as I finish or work on other things. My take on the snowball quilt workshop in Zak Foster's Quilting Nook with some swirls that i discovered in Grace Rother's newsletter. Visiting cat for size reference. All fabrics repurposed. The blue is an indigo sheet my father gave me after he managed to rip through half of it after years of using it folded up as an exercise mat. Which is also why it was faded in parts and not in others. The orange is a bed sheet that we had when I was a child and my mother recently cleaned out of her closet. All hand sewn.

It’s not Halloween or even close to it, but I’ve had this cut and ready to sew together for a few months. I had a free afternoon and decided to get it off my wip pile.

One more border for this one (the middle blue from the patchwork above and below the panel, which I will pick up tomorrow) and then my second niece will also be getting a quilt for xmas, seeing as I plan on doing both of these on the long arm on Thursday.

I only just noticed that this could … //technically// look like a hp quilt because of Prongs and Lily, but no, N just likes deer and the colour blue LMAO

Quilt coat #7

Made from a beat up vintage quilt. Over dyed with indigo to cover stains. Left with a lovely purple indigo hue after several washes. Made in my seattle studio.
