new paldean winds said Larry has been in the league for 25 years which is A: hilarious B: means he has to at least be 40 if he joined at the absolute youngest age he could at 16 (when most teens get a first job) (I mean he could’ve joined earlier since they seem to let in child prodigies like Poppy but he doesn’t strike me as that type). Larry Pokémon headcanons bc he is so in my brain as of late

-Carries around a lint roller in his briefcase. Frequently has to use it bc his komala clings to his arms/legs like tree branches

-It’s been pointed out the way he throws his pokeballs into battle is a pretty distinct baseball pitch. He definitely used to play when he was in school

-he actually wanted to be a professional baseball player when he was younger, but he was never a strong enough athlete and naturally excelled in battling a lot more (even though it’s not his passion). Leads to his whole “life isn’t just about being true to yourself” mindset.

-this being said he doesn’t HATE battling and he cares a lot about his Pokémon it’s just not at all what he planned to do with his life. It gets him down sometimes.

-still has a flip phone. Doesn’t use or understand social media. Doesn’t want to either

-he’s had some of his Pokémon since childhood and they actually have nicknames. However he is not very creative with naming things so it’s all things like “Feathers” for staraptor or “fluffy” for komala.

Yk I initially didn't get the Larry from Pokemon hype but after actually seeing him in-game I have made the conscious decision to fall in platonic love with him. He is the man to ever exist, the golden standard, nobody could even compare to him.
