Glow in the dark Digital Monster ver 20ths are only like 10 dollars on Amazon right now. Seems like a great deal if you somehow, as a Digimon v-pet fan in 2024 don't have one already, or you want to get one for someone else as a gift.

I'd buy one for spare parts and to swap my buttons and cage on a certain DMC, but I'm trying to stop spending money for the rest of the month.

Actually a lot of the DM20ths seem marked down, but they're weirdly not listed together the way they used to be.

Further to my previous post about my Game & Watch handheld, I've since rediscovered the name of the other one I owned. Turns out it was called Monster Panic and I thought it was kind of rework of Donkey Kong, but after seeing this 1981 advert for it I then remembered that there was a bit more to it. I don't remember mine being yellow - I thought mine was white - but perhaps there were various colours available. Or I'm just remembering it wrong.

I love the little images of different bits of the game, especially the fight with the skeleton.

Another obscure Star Trek LCD game. This one looks like it was sold under both the Grandstand and Tiger names, both with the same design. It’s also different to the previous Tiger handheld, although a similar idea. In this you just have to dodge to blow up asteroids.

Other than a very basic listing on Worthpoint with a few pictures, I can’t find any information on this at all. This is a wrist-based LCD game, from the photo, it looks different from the handheld Systema LCD game, as you can just make out a figure, so it’s more likely about running and shooting.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is something not going great with someone twelve years ago, and internalizing that whenever that person sees you that flaw in yourself is at the forefront of their mind so you need to constantly prove you have conquered this flaw to make sure their internal view of you has been corrected.

It's basically convincing yourself you know exactly what their file on you in their Clever Visual Metaphor Used to Personify the Abstract Concept of Thought says and it's all bad. Since you can't sneak into their brain and change it like a middle schooler in a cartoon altering their grades, the best you can do is hope you can give a good enough performance to raise their esteem for you.

But you'll never have certainty that their opinion of you is good the way you're certain it's bad. That the flaw ever existed is bad enough damage entirely on it's own. Life, and your relationship to this person, becomes something akin to continuing a no-hit run of a video game after getting hit. You have already failed, now and forever. It is necessary to actively force oneself to accept that the love of your closest friends has not diminished or lesser than it could be if you had done everything flawlessly.
