I can't wait for dems to learn NOTHING from this. Again. They're take away WILL be: we should be more like Trump to win.
I fucking hate dems that lose by acting pseudo conservative, and then don't just pivot left. The only option is to just go further right if right with a little bit of left didn't win! Let's ignore how leftist policy is much more popular with American people! Let's ignore how are we, the democratic party, stand for nothing!
There is no counter narrative to the one Trump presents. I mean, obviously with us that are stuck voting for these pieces of shit democratic politicians know what the country, and true, narrative is - it's not immigrants or leftist economy policy or the gays making everyone life suck. Its the billionairs. Its the wall street elite. Its unmanaged, unregulated capitalism.
But democrats won't cater to the base. Instead, they pretend like they don't even have a base and parade fucking Cheney around the nation. There is no actual fight for them, just platitudes and half measures.
America is not interested in half measures. They're interested in radical change. Its gotten Trump elected twice.
I just hope that this term makes the common man that voted Trump in becuase of teb economy and immigration realize that, while they want radical change, they do not want conservative revolutionary reform.
Say it with me DNC:
Republicans win by being Republicans. Democrates win by being democrats, not Republicans with a few redeeming qualities

The Kapok Tree
Key West, Florida
This is a very unique tree that is sacred to the Mayan people. They can grow to hights of 130 feet, if not more, and can increase in hight by 10 feet in a single year. But look at those ROOTS! I'm in love!

Why are you using chatgpt to get through college. Why are you spending so much time and money on something just to be functionally illiterate and have zero new skills at the end of it all. Literally shooting yourself in the foot. If you want to waste thirty grand you can always just buy a sportscar.

you'll get the urge as an artist or a writer to say out loud the things you're worried about "the proportions are off" "kind of out of character" "i'm not good at summaries" "didn't get as much detail as i wanted" "i made a mistake and here's how" and that's the self-conscious part of your brain telling you "it's bad and if you don't tell them you know it's bad then they'll think you're stupid" but you've got to ignore that little voice and pretend you think it's good or else that little voice is going to ruin your life

In 1993 there was a couple in the Four Corners of New Mexico, US that contracted this terrible virus and died within a couple of days of showing symptoms. Scientists were “baffled” and several more people died while they scrambled to figure out what was causing this horrible virus.
Come to find out that the Healers of the Navajo Nation had already told the scientists that this was nothing new. That every time there was a really heavy rain, the deer mice in the region would be more abundant and then people would die from this virus.
It wasn’t until someone else was willing to LISTEN to them before they figured out that it was a slightly different strain of the virus we know as the Hantavirus that was killing all of these people. They would be exposed to the deer mice droppings, urine, or saliva by likely digging in the garden or some other outside activity.

Are you ever having a nice conversation with someone until they say just exactly the wrong thing and you realize 'oh no we can't be friends'?
I was a framer, working with a woman to frame some artwork, and I had mentioned needing to do something, forgot it immediately, then a second later went 'oh YEAH THE THING'. She replied "ADHD much?", and I don't love when people say stuff like that, so I looked her in the face and said "yeah, actually. Guess it does show sometimes, huh?"
I was braced for her to get pissy, but she actually rebounded to talking about how they had recently found out her son had ADHD, and through that she discovered she had it too. We then started to have a pretty interesting conversation about how often that's happening these days. I was delighted a situation I'd thought was going to become a Situation has turned into just a pretty nice talk.
Then she hits me with "That's why I wouldn't let them give my son the COVID vaccine - he already had ADHD I don't want him to have autism too!" And my body in all ways but physically melted to goo and slid away. The next words were "........... That'll be $245.86, ma'am."

Remember, just as people are not born (as Pterry said) naturally paid up members of the human race, but must be socialized into it (all babies are psychopaths okay), just so identification or identity based alignment with a group (ie, sexual orientation) doesn't mean you're a full paid up card carrying member (ie, participating in and knowledgeable of the group's culture). They don't teach your history in schools, for instance. And your parents don't know the first thing about queer community, commonality, or social behaviours-- much less the stresses, structures, historical reasons, current pressures, and contextual variations behind/underneath/around being gay as a cultural practice and not just a fact about what presses your buttons.
Many lgbt teenagers and young adults growing up on the internet today have socially conservative beliefs that they voice at all times that they got from their conservative parents which they’ve never challenged because they think the life experience of being gay or trans makes them politically progressive
