This is eating me up inside, I genuinely want to know why is Steve so okay with putting himself down and everyone just thinks it’s fine? Like no one questions why he thinks so lowly of himself even though he’s done a lot to prove that he’s more than what the show let on. I think it’s weird how in a conversation he’ll slip in comments about himself that are negative. I also think it’s so gross that he can’t have a moment of confusion without being disrespected and I know it’s supposed to be funny but at a certain point someone should really ask “is Steve okay?” I can bet money that the answer won’t be yes.

I also want to add how come Eddie (someone who doesn’t even know Steve from a can of paint other than school) find something nice to say about him and not put him down. This also adds to my list why I think steddie is real but that’s for another time

all my metal gear cats so far + explanation/bonuses under cut

I LOVE CAT I LOVE KITTY OK HERE WE GO

solid snake: american curl/ random short hair mix

- i made snake before big boss so some of this is me retconning to make it make sense (he used to be 100% curl)

- american curls are a good hunting breed + i just think it looks right

- has a larger than normal primordial pouch (helps protect organs in a fight + more flexibility)

otacon: ragdoll mix

- he’s not full ragdoll since 1) he’s small 2) he’s shy(er than your average ragdoll)

- i did debate over making him part munchkin for a brief second but i just couldn’t do it to him

big boss: american shorthair? doesn’t really matter

-ok big boss gave me some trouble

-you see 1) solid snake has to be a grey cat while big boss has BROWN cat energy 2) snake being a curl and big boss not

-the solution:

-so we have snake remaining grey and big boss now some kind of tortoiseshell. liquid is orangey yellow and solidus is brown/black (brown in pick but i’m going to make him black i think) . bam

-i don’t care if that’s not how genetics work this is metal gear

ocelot: ocicat

-pretty self explanatory. he’s technically a mix because of joy (see below) but color wise he just looks like an ocicat

the joy: white oriental short(ish?)hair

-ok now we have cats i haven’t drawn out yet

-basically just pic below except one thing

-she has longer/fluffier fur around her neck and belly that hides her scar. which yes i know doesn’t really make sense with how scars work but i ignore it. then during her fight with jack it gets rough and her fur gets cut and torn and her scar is more visible

eva: american shorthair i guess

-i’m not too concerned about her. like pics below probably

volgin: russian blue

-i don’t care about him either . get russian blue’d. does it work personality wise? no not really. he’s grayish no matter what breed tho

the sorrow: ocicat (by necessity)

-i did ocelot before i finished mgs3 so now the sorrow has to be an ocicat to keep it working

I usually headcanon most non-canon ships I like as childfree partially out of contrarianism (I hate when people ASSUME two people will have kids just because they’re in love) and partially because I don’t want kids and this is my house and I am here mainly to project onto fictional characters

But lawlu? Ohhhh they’re having kids. They’re HAVING kids. Law might not know it yet but they WILL be having multiple children

#cuz like here are my thoughts:#-Luffy was MADE to be a dad there’s no way he doesn’t want to be a dad he’d love it so much #-I think Law is probably conflicted about the idea of having kids bc he has. poor self-image and stuff and thinks he’d be a terrible father #plus just general trauma over him losing his parents and sister and then getting a new father figure and then losing THAT guy too #but Luffy is just like ‘You’re not gonna mess up our kids accidentally because I won’t let you. And you won’t die and leave them all alone #because I won’t let you.’#and Law is like well. both of those promises seem pretty unrealistic. and Luffy is like but you believe me anyway. and Law is like yeah.#ALSO:#Law: obviously not NOW but like when is the timeline for. WHEN do you want kids #Luffy: uhhh I dunno. HEY SHANKS! How old were you when we met?#Shanks: Uhhh like 25? I think 25 #Luffy: Ok! going insane over the fact that happiness and care and concern and love is underneath every interaction between newt and hermann in pacific rim

#HEAR ME OUT. they’re introduced and newt and being a groupie and behind him hermann is all huffing and rolling his eyes and shaking his #head but he’s Not Angry. no. he jumps to defend newt albeit in a somewhat mocking and sarcastic way BUT THE THOUGHT IS THERE. and then when #hermann is rambling on about numbers being the handwriting of god newt is in the background smiling and laughing and making silly #hand motions and yes the hand motion was a bit mocking BUT THATS THEIR WHOLW THINF. anyways i’m not done. when newt drifts with the kaiju #and pentecost is there talking to him and hermann and newt r yelling back in forth u can hear the unease and shakiness in their voices and #especially the frustration in hermanns. he’s frustrated abt newt risking his life and is worried abt that which translates out in anger.#and yeah maybe he’s salty abt being proven wrong too lmao. BUT CONTINUING ON. stacker could have just told newt to go to hannibal chau and #he would have done it. but instead they watch the film of him on HERMANNS computer as HERMANN controls the computer to look at the film. if #thé film was shown it was for a reason. newt doesn’t seem like the type to need reassurance abt chau before he goes. he was willing to die #for his trash drift. and stacker gave him the card and info so there’s no need to do anything else. the video is most likely there for the #viewers but it needs a reason to be there in the show. hence my reasoning that HERMANN asked to see it out of concern for newt who would be #doinf this alone. hermann demanded to see some proof to reassure himself. stacker having the card on him makes sense. him having that bulky #tape doesn’t. meaning hermann pressured him into leaving getting the tape and coming back to show him. anyways one more bit. so the drift.#hermann is clearly scared out of his mind and thinking abt the impending triple event. yet he still drifts with newt he does it to protect #him to take part of the neural load. and it takes a toll on hermann it makes a big enough mess of his brain that he ends with him bleeding #and shaking and sweating and coughing and throwing up. and he knew it would take a toll. he knew it would be a lot he’s seen the jaegers.#he’s seen what happens. he knows it will be rough. he knows it’ll be much worse for him who wasn’t drifted then for newt who has. yet he #still does it to help newt and to show his care and trust and concern and love and THEYRE DRIFT COMPATIBLE U DONT UNDERSTANDABLE HOW #EMOTIONAL I AM OVER THIS FUCKING OVER THEM #anyways one last thing. the way that they full body slapping each other on the back bear hugged when the throat collapsed (they were behind #herc and tendo so it was a little hard to see. i missed it the first time) in pure adrenaline happiness before we see the quiet tender hug #when they know everything is over for good (for now at least) when it’s time to celebrate when it time to think abt their drift and their #bond and their relationship and their LOVE. i’m so ok abt them rn actually #toad.txt #i wish i wrote this in a keep reading bit and not the tags now. anyways #pacific rim #pacific rim spoilers #newton geiszler #hermann gottlieb #newmann

#my art #artists on tumblr #I cannot accept that it has been 5 years already #I know covid messed with everyone’s sense of time but it simultaneously feels so much longer and so much shorter than that #exactly five years ago I was holding onto my mom for dear life and sobbing as we watched lilo and stitch together #not the best movie to watch when you’ve just lost your first ever pet you know #and then I cried myself to sleep at the next morning we never mentioned her again #I know it’s because it was way too painful for everyone involved. but I do wish I was allowed to process that grief properly #instead of bottling it up and pretending everything was okay until I was reminded of her #feeling like my heart was being shattered over and over again every single time #well anyway. enough of that. I’ve allowed myself a nice long cry today and got most of it out of my system #and once I was feeling okay I decided to draw her #and I can count the number of times I’ve drawn animals on one hand so.. I’m not too sure about the result #but it felt like to commemorate her in some way.#so yeah. here she is. my dear girl. the best dog in existence. she was always so affectionate and kind #which I didn’t always appreciate bc of how young I was. when you’re a kid it feels like pets will live forever #never barked. never bit anyone. her only crime was chewing on my mlp and lps toys that I left out on the floor #but I’m grateful she did that. it taught me not to leave my toys lying around and to clean up after myself #she really was taken from me way too soon. ideally she could still be alive right now. but I’ve been down the road of guilt and regret #there was nothing I could do. I was a child. I can only hope that she knew she was loved right until the very end #even if I didn’t know how to show it properly. and great. now I’m tearing up again #I suppose it’s unavoidable. April 12th will always be a melancholy day. and maybe that’s not such a bad thing #it’s good to have a day when I can freely remember her and cry if I need to. it’s healthy. it’s better than crying every day #she never liked it much when I cried. always tried to comfort me. that’s the kind of dog she was. I miss her so much #when I move apartments and get a dog of my own I’m getting a spaniel. just like she was #well. maybe a different colour so I don’t end up sobbing every time I look at it. but spaniels really are the perfect breed #I mean. cavaliers especially were bred for love and warmth. that’s just what I need. it will be nice to have someone waiting for me at home #and while I don’t necessarily believe in the afterlife… I do hope that Fanny’s watching over me #spiritually comforting me when I feel all alone in the world. it’s a nice thought for sure #and hopefully she won’t mind me getting another spaniel too much. it will be done in her honour after all. to make up for my past mistakes

Whoops I wrote an essay in the tags

#one piece #one piece spoilers #particularly a line that Franky says to Robin that really stuck with me #‘no one is born into this world to be alone’#god just the entire central theme of this arc being that you always have a place in this world #even if it doesn’t seem like it #the entire goddamn rooftop scene #the straw hats finally learn the extent of robin’s trauma and why she feels like she needs to leave them to turn herself in #and in response they DECLARE WAR ON THE WORLD #because Robin is their family #and god help anyone who messes with their family #and as if it wasn’t enough that the arc has that whole beautiful storyline #everything else about it is top notch too!#Usopp’s own arc where he learns to let go of his pride and realizes that he can focus on what he brings to the straw hats #Franky facing his own past and finding his place with the straw hats as their newest member #and the fights with cipher pol giving everyone a chance to shine!#nami and chopper get to actually Do Shit!#Luffy’s entire fight with Rob Lucci #Robin snapping Spandam’s spine after everything he did to her #anyway one piece is ultimately a story about found family and in no arc is that clearer than Enies Lobby #oh and don’t even get me started on everything with the Going Merry!#edit: okay so I misremembered something #it was Saul who told Robin that #but also Franky telling her outright that her existence isn’t a sin #aaaaaaahhhh my heart #I’m not really a frobin shipper (I don’t really ship anything from one piece aside from maybe namivivi)#but like. I wish Eddie could’ve seen how upset Steve was when he saw the news accusing him of all these terrible things even though they weren’t true. I believe that they could relate to each other on a personal level considering there’s still people in Hawkins who will never change their opinions on them. Some people still see Steve as a bully and Eddie will always have a bad reputation tied to his name, they were the only ones to truly see each other for who they actually were. Two beautiful souls who never got the chance to become one. In another lifetime they will.

Once again thinking about how I am always cleaning up after and taking care of everyone and just once would like to either be cared for or at least just left the fuck alone

#🦇#like I am so tired #I’m too tired to take care of myself #and my body is fucking furious about it #my knee is still on fire and it’s making sleeping hard which is killing my head #and it’s just. it’s a mess #and then I’m the only one capable of anything at work #and all of my friends need someone to take care of them #which I usually do like taking care of people I like feeling needed #but it would be nice if just once someone like at least pretended to care about me and my well-being #instead of just demanding I care for them #like. I love you but I simply cannot I don’t have the fucking energy #and then I feel guilty which makes me feel worse emotionally which makes it harder for me to take care of myself #which then makes it harder for me to take care of my friends #like. at the very least please leave me alone
