“I only need you to run with me today~”
Some cool Sonic art I did yesterday
I accidentally recreated a little bit of Rush’s artstyle for Sonic lol. Most of the color palettes I borrowed from existing sprites .

SURPRISE! I have a second Sonic AU. Mainly fueled by the fact I kind of want a "Classic" and "Modern" AU if you get what I mean. With Legacy of Chaos being the Modern AU while The Freedom Fight is the Classic AU.
It blends elements of Sonic Under Underground, Sonic SatAM and the Archie comics. (With a few touches here and there from the games and IDW when needed.)
So here we have designs for the triplets, one of their Freedom Fighting companions, Sally Acorn, their mother, Queen Aleena, and a roboticized King Lance.
More details about this AU in the future but I hope for now you enjoy the designs.

AfroNubia: The Becoming of Afia
Tumblr media
Before the world came to know the legend of AfroNubia, there was Afia Nwankwo—a proud, poised Black woman of Igbo and Haitian descent, born and raised in the heartbeat of New Orleans. She moved like the Mississippi—fluid, ancient, and full of memory. Her dance was not performance. It was prayer.
From a young age, Afia trained in classical ballet, modern, and traditional African dance. Every plié was a plea. Every pirouette was praise. Her limbs spoke languages older than colonization, deeper than history books dared to document. She could tell stories with her spine. With a single turn, she could crack open time.
Her mother, a Haitian spiritualist descended from maroon priestesses, would say, “Your body remembers what the mind forgets, Afia. The rhythm is your inheritance.” Her father, a stern yet tender Igbo scholar, reminded her, “You come from a lineage of dancers who defied slavery with every stomp of the foot. Never move without meaning.”
Afia lived this truth.
She danced in the streets, in the shadows of second lines, in candlelit altars during full moon rituals. Her presence commanded reverence. Her body became a bridge between the living and the ancestors, between the mundane and the divine.
And yet, she knew something deeper still was calling her—beyond even the art of movement. She felt it every time her bare feet kissed the earth. A vibration. A pull. A song beyond sound.
The Awakening
It happened during the Harmonic Eclipse, a rare celestial event where the sun and moon aligned in the sign of Aquarius. That night, Afia performed a solo offering at Congo Square—a ritual dance dedicated to the ancestors. The air thickened with incense and spirit. The drums ceased. The crowd fell silent. And Afia—eyes closed, chest bare, palms open—became pure movement.
As she leapt into the air, something split.
She didn’t come back down. At least, not as she was.
She hovered for a moment, suspended in glowing light, as her body was flooded with visions:
A bronze-skinned queen in Nubia, commanding galaxies with a whisper
A Haitian priestess stirring sound into spells
An Igbo guardian shielding her people with the frequency of joy
A map of constellations shaped like an Ankh, carved into her soul
Her body burned, not in pain, but in remembrance.
Her voice echoed across realms, sounding less like speech and more like melody.
A voice—warm, knowing, and infinite—spoke inside her:
“You are not just the daughter of dancers. You are the Dance itself. You are vibration. You are legacy. You are the bridge. Rise, AfroNubia.”
The Rebirth
When Afia opened her eyes, her breath sang. Her skin shimmered with cosmic gold. A luminous Ankh blazed at her chest, pulsing with the rhythm of the universe. Her body felt weightless, as though gravity bowed to her grace. Her voice, now charged with sonic energy, could soothe trauma, silence violence, or awaken memory.
She became AfroNubia—a celestial vessel of rhythm and liberation, protector of culture, champion of love, and embodiment of Black divine feminine energy.
By day, she still lives among her people: teaching dance to girls with fire in their eyes, mentoring young men searching for self-worth, moving through the streets like poetry. But when darkness dares to mute the music of the people, when joy is under attack, when soul is threatened…
AfroNubia rises.
With a cape that flows like spirit.
With an Afro that defies time.
With a voice like Nina, a presence like Oshun, and a mission older than Babylon.
She is movement. She is melody. She is memory.
AfroNubia: The Sound. The Strength. The Soul.

Sonic 4 movie. Theories and predictions
Tumblr media
Hello everyone! I finally watched Sonic 3, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a movie theater! It had been such a long time since I felt so much emotion and joy watching a film. The last time I experienced these feelings was with Michael Bay’s Transformers movies, especially the fourth and fifth installments. Just like back then, when I was super excited for the next movie, I now have the same anticipation for the fourth Sonic movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the post-credits scene, we saw the first appearances of Metal Sonic and Amy, which already gives us a taste of the continuation of the Sonic live-action franchise. That’s why I’d like to share my theory about what might happen in the next movie and which game from the Sonic saga it might adapt.
AND... Just as Sonic 1 was an adaptation of the first classic game, Sonic 2 represented the second game, and Sonic 3 was based on Sonic Adventure 2, I believe the fourth movie will also follow this adaptation formula.
My idea is that the fourth movie will be inspired by two games: Sonic CD, where Metal Sonic makes his first appearance, and Sonic Heroes, where Metal Sonic becomes the main antagonist. In Heroes, he evolves into Neo Metal Sonic and later into Metal Overlord, the final boss. I believe the concept of time travel, central to Sonic CD, could be key to the plot of the next movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, let’s dive into the possible plot of the fourth movie and how the story might unfold.
Probably, Metal Sonic came from the future and returned to the past with the goal of defeating Sonic, driven by frustration at never being able to defeat him definitively. In turn, future Amy, upon discovering Metal Sonic’s plan, decides to also travel to the past to protect him. This could explain the post-credits scene where we see Amy hooded.
This raises some important questions: How did Amy know where Sonic would be, and how did she know who he was? The most logical answer would be that, in the future, Sonic and Amy eventually meet, and she decides to go back in time to save him. Another key point of the potential plot would be the origin of Metal Sonic. After all, who created him, considering that Dr. Eggman died in the ARK explosion in the third movie? While Shadow survived because he’s practically immortal, Eggman is just a regular human, making it extremely unlikely that he escaped.
With that in mind, here are some possibilities regarding Metal Sonic’s creation:
Agent Stone as the Creator:
Stone, loyal to Dr. Eggman, could create Metal Sonic as a way to avenge his mentor’s death. This would continue Stone’s arc, showing how he seeks to keep Eggman’s legacy alive.
G.U.N. and Director Rockwell:
Another possibility is that Director Rockwell, who showed distrust toward Sonic and his team, decides to create Metal Sonic. After the events of the third movie, where the planet was nearly destroyed, she might use Metal Sonic as a weapon to eliminate Sonic, believing that he and his team are too uncontrolled.
Eggman as the Original Creator:
There’s also the possibility that Dr. Eggman created Metal Sonic a long time ago, perhaps after returning to Earth at the beginning of the second movie. However, due to the humiliation he suffered when defeated by Super Sonic, he might have abandoned the use of Metal Sonic and kept the project stored along with other copies. These copies could have been activated later, continuing the storyline.
Any of these options could fit well into the fourth movie’s plot, depending on how the writers choose to proceed with the narrative.
Even though the three movies so far have adapted elements from the game franchise—two from the classics and one from the modern games—they contain many original elements. For example, Sonic’s origin was adapted for the movie, and the story takes place on Earth, not on his home island or planet of origin. Additionally, the Master Emerald wasn’t found on Angel Island but on Earth, and Shadow didn’t live on the ARK in space but also on Earth. So, it’s likely that the fourth movie will also introduce original elements while incorporating important aspects inspired by Sonic CD and Sonic Heroes.
Now, here’s my idea of how the fourth movie’s plot could unfold:
Just like in the second and third movies, Amy could appear after the movie starts, similar to how Tails was introduced in the second movie and Shadow in the third. The movie would likely begin with an introduction to Sonic and his team.
After the boys (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles) decide to organize another friendly race, Sonic gets too far ahead and ends up in New York City. This becomes even more confusing due to the time difference since he, Knuckles, and Tails live on the other side of the United States with Tom and Maddie. It’s at this point that Metal Sonic and Amy enter, as hinted at in the post-credits scenes.
After Sonic is attacked by Metal Sonic and saved by Amy, he’s full of questions. He wants to know who she is, how she knows his name, and how she knew where to find him. His questions are similar to those he asked Knuckles and Tails when he met them. Amy then explains that she came from the future to help him defeat Metal Sonic once and for all.
With no other choice, Sonic decides to take Amy home. There, he introduces her to the rest of the team, and they begin discussing what’s happening. Amy explains that she came from the future to warn him about Metal Sonic and save him. She details Metal Sonic’s origin, explaining that he’s after Sonic to defeat him once and for all since he couldn’t win in the future. That’s why she followed him to the past, both to warn Sonic and help him in his mission.
With this information, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy decide to form a team to face Metal Sonic. However, upon realizing that their enemy is extremely powerful, Sonic concludes that the only way to defeat him is by using the Master Emerald again to transform into his Super form and destroy him once and for all.
However, there’s a problem: at the end of the last movie, Sonic 3, Sonic lost his Super form while preventing a global catastrophe. During that moment, Shadow was also in his Super form but stayed behind after the final explosion. This caused the Chaos Emeralds to scatter across Earth due to the impact. Now, Team Sonic must gather the Emeralds again to have any chance against Metal Sonic.
Meanwhile, G.U.N. also steps in. After the events of the third movie, the organization begins questioning how Sonic and Shadow were able to prevent such a large-scale catastrophe. They eventually discover the existence of the Chaos Emeralds and, upon understanding their immense power, decide to locate them to keep them "safe." After all, the Master Emerald is seen as an extremely dangerous weapon, capable of turning a person into something close to a god.
Tumblr media
This is where Rouge enters the story. As a G.U.N. spy, she’s sent to locate the Chaos Emeralds before Team Sonic. This sets up a race between both sides: Team Sonic needs the Emeralds to save the world and defeat Metal Sonic, while G.U.N. wants to capture them to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands (even though, for Sonic, that includes themselves).
This intense competition between Sonic and his team against G.U.N. adds a layer of tension and urgency to the film, especially since both sides have legitimate motivations for wanting the Emeralds. However, G.U.N.’s belief that Team Sonic isn’t trustworthy might spark conflicts and tense moments between them.
Tumblr media
During this race to recover the Chaos Emeralds, Metal Sonic comes into play. He ends up encountering both sides—Team Sonic and G.U.N.—leading to a major battle among everyone, adding more tension to the plot. At this point, Shadow, who still holds a grudge against G.U.N. for what they did to Maria, temporarily joins Team Sonic. His main motivation is to prevent G.U.N. from keeping the Chaos Emeralds, as he believes the organization doesn’t deserve that power.
Since Shadow has a direct connection to Chaos energy, similar to what we saw in Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic manages to obtain one of Shadow’s quills. He uses the power contained in it to amplify his abilities and eventually evolves into Neo Metal Sonic. By combining Shadow’s power with the Chaos Emeralds, Metal Sonic reaches his final form: Metal Overlord, the final boss in Sonic Heroes.
However, before this happens, G.U.N. manages to capture the Chaos Emeralds, putting them temporarily ahead in the race. At this moment, Rouge, true to her nature as a jewel thief, betrays G.U.N. She steals the Emeralds, but her escape doesn’t go as planned. She soon realizes the situation becomes critical when Metal Sonic, now more powerful, begins transforming into his primitive forms, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.
Tumblr media
Seeing no other choice and recognizing that Team Sonic is the only hope to defeat Metal Sonic, Rouge hands over the Chaos Emeralds to them. With the Emeralds in hand, Team Sonic activates the Master Emerald’s power, allowing Sonic to once again transform into his Super form. With this power, Sonic faces Metal Overlord in an epic final battle.
Tumblr media
Shadow’s role at this moment remains uncertain. He might join Sonic in his Super form, as he did at the end of Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes, or he might choose not to intervene directly. Regardless, this battle serves as a major climax for the film, bringing both classic and original elements to the story.
Although the previous films have adapted elements from the games, they’ve also added their own unique ideas, and it’s likely the fourth film will follow the same trend. The movie universe, after all, is separate from the games’ universe, giving the writers creative freedom to develop new stories and explore different dynamics between the characters.
Regarding Shadow’s presence in the fourth film, I believe he’ll play a key role, as his connection to Chaos energy is crucial for Metal Sonic’s transformation into Metal Overlord. Shadow’s involvement would also be an opportunity to further explore his relationship with his past and G.U.N., as well as strengthen the dynamics within the movie universe.
Introducing Rouge, hired by G.U.N. to steal the Chaos Emeralds, would be an excellent way to bring the character into the cinematic universe. This initial role, where she infiltrates as a spy and later betrays G.U.N., demonstrates her cunning and independence while establishing her motivations. By the end of the movie, Rouge could team up with Shadow and Agent Stone to form the famous Team Dark, opening doors for future storylines.
As for Omega, his introduction would be a bit more complicated. However, one possibility could be Agent Stone reactivating one of Dr. Eggman’s old robots, as Omega was originally created by Eggman to serve as a guardian and companion. This idea would fit well with the theme of reclaiming Eggman’s legacy in the movie, but his presence would need to be carefully balanced to avoid overwhelming the story.
Introducing too many characters in the fourth movie could be a challenge. While it’s exciting to expand the cast, it’s essential to keep the story’s main focus: the showdown between Metal Sonic and Sonic. In the first three movies, new characters were introduced in a balanced way, always keeping Sonic at the center. This balance ensured that Sonic’s protagonism remained intact, even with the addition of significant figures like Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow.
Therefore, while Rouge and Shadow’s presence seems essential, adding more characters like Omega could be challenging without diverting attention from the main plot. It’s important that the movie continues to highlight Sonic as the main hero, ensuring that new additions complement the story rather than overwhelm it.
The dynamic between Sonic and Amy in the fourth movie could indeed follow a friendship and camaraderie approach, similar to what we saw in the Super Mario Bros. animated movie. Just as they portrayed Princess Peach as a strong and independent warrior alongside Mario, Amy could be presented as a powerful and strategically important ally, without forcing a romantic relationship between her and Sonic.
Although Amy is traditionally Sonic’s romantic partner in the games and series, SEGA has already clarified that their relationship isn’t canon. This decision reinforces the creative freedom to adapt the character in the cinematic universe while maintaining the individuality of both characters. Sonic, with his adventurous and carefree personality, would hardly fit into a romantic role in the movies, as it could shift focus from his journey as the protagonist.
In the movie, Amy could be presented as someone who shares the same goals as Sonic, fighting alongside him and his team against threats like Metal Sonic. The post-credits scene of the third movie already gave us a glimpse of her combat skills and confidence, highlighting her iconic hammer as her weapon. This suggests her presence in the fourth movie will be more as a warrior and strategic ally rather than a character dependent on Sonic or hopelessly in love with him.
This approach also creates a more modern and inclusive dynamic for the audience, showing that a female character can be equally strong and independent without being defined by a romantic relationship. A deep friendship and mutual respect between Sonic and Amy could strengthen the development of both characters while maintaining the adventurous and lighthearted tone that characterizes the franchise.
Tumblr media
Finally, let’s talk about the possible post-credits scenes of the fourth movie, which always leave clues for the next chapter in the franchise. Since it’s been confirmed that the fourth movie won’t be the last—the idea is to create a quintology (five movies) and not a sextologyit’s very likely that the post-credits scenes of the fourth movie will introduce a new character or hint at the plot of the next movie.
One of the strongest speculations among fans is the possible appearance of Silver the Hedgehog in the post-credits scenes. This would make perfect sense since Silver is a central character in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 game, whose storyline revolves around time travel. Just as Amy and Metal Sonic are essential to the plot of the fourth movie, introducing Silver in the post-credits scenes would be the perfect bridge to address the plot of Sonic 2006 in the fifth movie.
Silver could appear from the future, on a mission to alter past events to save the chaotic future he came from. His arrival would bring new dynamics to the story and expand the Sonic cinematic universe, exploring themes like fighting to change destiny and the challenges of time travel.
However, I prefer not to delve into theories for the fifth movie just yet, as the fourth movie hasn’t even been released. I think it’s better to wait for the official release of the fourth movie to understand the clues they’ll leave behind and then develop more solid theories about what to expect in the fifth film.
And that’s it, everyone! This is my theory for the fourth Sonic movie. I know some ideas might seem a bit out of the box, but as we’ve seen in the first three movies, they don’t exactly follow the stories from the games. There are many original additions and changes to fit the Sonic universe into the cinematic narrative, and I believe the same will happen in the next film.
If you’ve read this far, thank you for reading my theory! Now I’d like to know your opinion: what do you think might happen in the fourth movie? Share your ideas, and let’s keep this conversation going! :)

Utsuho Reiuji
Reika Hakurei (OC: The god of the Hakurei, in the Osana Reimu universe. After watching the future events of the family unfold, she granted all three of the protagonists with divine energy to prevent their sad fate from coming to be…which came at the price of her shrinking down to around Suwako’s size, and losing a majority of her energy. She can best be described as a ‘Lazy Neet who stays inside and plays video games all day.’ She does care, trust her. She’s just not good at showing it.)
Sendai Hakurei (OC: The previous Hakurei Shrine maiden, and mother to warriorsofcrimsonrealms’ Reimu. She’s a relatively quiet shrine maiden, who spends most of her time training to improve herself, both mentally and physically. Her devotion training can sometimes lead her to make questionable decisions, like sitting under a waterfall in the winter, but that same devotion is also the reason for her insane physical strength. She has a strong sense of duty, but isn’t too strict, either.)
Cirno
Anko Shinohara (OC: A regular ‘ol student who used to reign at her home town as a Street Fighter 6 Champion and Gaming Streamer, before one day finding herself lost in Gensokyo, after a field trip gone awry. Coming from the modern age of 2025, she’s well versed on modern day topics…mostly gaming. Don’t ask her too much about stuff outside of that, because she tended to ignore other topics that didn’t interest her… In Gensokyo, she managed to bring along her monitor, a PC, and her switch with a charger. So, she’s good on the gaming end…but didn’t bring anything else… So, to ensure she doesn’t starve, she works as an employee at one of the human village restaurants, with uh…not so much Grace.)
Chikara (OC: An Oni who had trained Sendai, when she was but a mere child. She encountered the soon to be Shrine Maiden when the young girl accidentally tripped and rolled down a hill in the forest, and came across the Oni in the midst of a training session. Seeing potential in the young girl, despite Sendai’s (old) scaredy cat behavior, she put her through a rigorous training routine where the young shrine maiden essentially had to fight for her life and survive in a simulation of a hostile wildlife environment, similar to that of a certain Namekian and Hybrid Saiyan’s training session in a certain manga. Chikara loves the thrill of battle, and can often be seen training in caves across Gensokyo, or visiting Sendai for sparring matches.
Yumi Konpaku (OC from Lost Word): An alternate Youmu who came from a different Gensokyo, one where she acted as the executioner in a land where contestant fought against each other in tournament settings, and she had to punish the losers. Like the regular Youmu, she enjoys gardening. However, there are a few key differences. One, she’s much more powerful due to her having much more time to spend training…but is also a terrible chef due to her time spent training taking away any time she had to learn how to cook. Hobbies aside, her blade glows red due to the blood it’s been stained with over many years, and is cursed due to all the souls it’s taken. Regardless, she’s a friendly soul, who didn’t enjoy what she had to do.)
Sakuya Izayoi
Honey Dew (OC):
A fairy maid of the SDM. She specializes in handling the laundry, but has a problem with daydreaming, frequently. As a result, she tends to get distracted mid-folding, and makes an art piece out of the clothes, instead of properly folding them. She once made a 1-1 art piece of Remilia, out of a mass pile of clothes by lining them up, together.
Yoko Shika (OC):
A used to be human villager turned into the Shrine Maiden of the newly formed Shika/Deer Shrine, in Gensokyo. She was revived from a near death illness after her family had taken her to be blessed by the Deer God. And as thanks, she offered to serve as Noko's personal Shrine Maiden.
She admits, she has very little clue on what being the Deer Shrine's Shrine Maiden entails, so she just assumes her job is to gather faith, and resolve incidents, if possible. Luckily for her, because the majority of the human villagers do seem to be fans of the deer wandering about, and her god, gathering faith and donations is far from an issue.
Power wise, she is SURPRISINGLY strong, as a result of the mass amount of faith her shrine gathers, on a daily. She has yet to fully understand the spell card rules, but she's getting there!
Scarlet (OC):
A formerly wealthy Vampire Queen, who’d long since been overthrown by her kingdom, due to being neglectful in paying her minions. She spent years wandering the earth, having to work 9-5 in her own personal business so that she can buy blood, since she’s allergic to blood that’s fresh from any living creature. It makes her super itchy, and gives her a stomach ache. So, she keeps a filtering device on her, that she puts purchased blood into, so that it’s okay for her to consume. As for where she buys the blood, she has a personal salesman who she can summon with a snap of her fingers. The salesman, much to her annoyance, is VERY greedy when it comes to the pricing.
After one fateful night, during a delivery, she found herself in Gensokyo, where she continues her business of Nightly Delivery. The building is located in the bamboo forest of the lost, which makes it a bit hard for others to find her…and for her to find out where to go…
Personality wise, she’s best described as really quiet, and noticeably lazy. She often complains about the fact that she doesn’t want to work, and misses when she was pampered like a queen. She’s still incredibly powerful, as a result of her abilities and status, but never makes use of it, as she says ‘it’s a waste of time and energy to fight.’
Gurren Lagann:
Simon
Kamina
Nia Teppelin
Simonia (OC: Simon and Nia’s child, who was born after the events of SRWX. She inherited her father’s core drill, his sense of passion and determination, and her mother’s kindness and curiosity. She idolizes her parents, and tries to follow their example as much as possible (except for her mother’s cooking. She did not inherit Simon’s tolerance for it, and got really sick after her first time trying it.)
Sonic The Hedgehog:
Sonic
Cosmo (Sonic X)
Shadow
Maria Robotnik
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure:
Jotaro Kujo
Metal Gear:
Raiden (Revengeance)
Shiro (OC: A used to be child soldier who was experimented on as a weapon in the past, before breaking out in a failed test. She was found by Raiden in a warehouse, with a knife in hand, before being adopted into his household. Her memories of her life before the experiments don’t exist for her, no matter how much she tries to dig them up. She’s quiet, but deeply appreciates Raiden for his help, and consistently refers to him as ‘sensei.’ She wields her own personal HF Blade, and trains daily to mimic his combat style. Her favorite food is cereal, which she would have for breakfast lunch and dinner if left unattended, and has a bad habit of spending money on model Gundam figures, recklessly.
Fate:
Cu Chulainn
Elizabeth Bathory
Baobhan Sith
Kirin (OC: Quite possibly the world’s greatest girlfail, with more bags under her eyes than a group of people after a long shopping trip. She’s a middle school dropout who spent the next six years working job to job in run down areas, while barely getting any sleep and playing games 24/7. Once she turned 20, she suddenly got an invitation to work as a master for Chaldea. She initially deemed it a scam, but figured she may as well check it out, since anything was better than working at a bar with ungrateful customers. Soon enough, she found herself fighting in a war to save the world…which she finds completely insane, but kinda fun. The whole ‘threat of death’ thing is annoying, in her opinion, but she figured she could get over it. Personality wise, she can come off as unfriendly and anti-social with a large streak of trouble following her everywhere, but she CAN be nice in some instances… She is not shy about showing when she doesn’t like something to someone, though.
Kiran (OC: Kirin’s older twin, with just as many bags under his eyes, and worked just as many run down jobs before travelling with his sister to Chaldea to work as a master. He’s somewhat more responsible than Kirin, acting as her impulse control to a degree, but for the most part, he tends to behave very similarly to her and the two often finish each other’s sentences. )
Mash Kyrielight
Megaman:
X
Marina (OC: A Reploid Scientist who manages X, Zero and Axl's gear and equipment, while they're off duty. She has a tendency to let her curiosity to tinker with the gear get the better of her, which leads to...sometimes mixed results. Her main goal is to one day make her own custom armors for the three.)
Mad Father:
Aya Drevis
Honkai:
Murata Himeko (HI3rd)
Caelus

Being someone who strives to find the most comfortable way to live, Malu can often be seen lazing about, wherever. Whether it be on the beach, in a tree, or one of the chairs in a Malasada store, him, napping, is a common sight across Alola. Regardless of his seemingly lazy nature, his skills as a trainer are nothing to take lightly.
Haruka (OC: A trainer from Johto who moved to Alola to take on the Island Trials and become champion. She’s hard working and determined to prove herself. Her efforts proved valiant…up until she got up to the current champion, Malu. She currently has lost to him a total of 87 times thus far, with no victory of her own, yet. Still, she eagerly challenges him whenever he comes by… She finds his presence somewhat irritating though, due to his seemingly lazy nature clashing with his insane combat skills.

He brands super-hero like clothing, and idolized super heros, pro wrestlers, and the champ, himself, Hercule. He’s very laid back and prone to making jokes, but is also the most powerful amongst his group of three.)
Celera (OC: A time patroller Saiyan who worked as a scholar in Universe 6, before being recruited into the Time Patrol. She’s hard working and studious, often trying to find way to make the best of any situation in a logical manner…which makes her a bit irritable due to being surrounded by teammates who rely on anything but logic. Regardless, they’re her friends, and she does her best to keep the world a better place… Also, her natural hair and eye color is black, but gained white hair through a mishap with magic paint, and gold eyes due to a mishap with a spell in school. Both, of which, never got undone or fixed.)
Nio (OC: A time patroller elf who lived in secrecy and practiced dark magic, before being recruited into the Time Patrol. Despite her work in the dark arts, though, Nio is an energetic and extremely friendly soul, who wishes to prove to the world that even magic of this nature can be used to help others. She’s incredibly social…but tends to miss social queues due to having lived alone for so long.)
Kohlri (OC: Broly’s mother, who had abandoned Planet Vegeta in a fit after having heard news of Paragus and her son being sent away to a far away, abandoned planet. Due to her space pod malfunctioning during the trip, she made a crash landing onto earth, and had since been living there while adapting to Earth’s culture, in the meantime. Many years later, after the events of the battle between Broly and Gogeta, the former one day found himself meeting with his mother in the midst of a random shopping trip with Cheelai and Lemo. It didn’t take Kohlri too long to recognize due to both his scent, and tail. This resulted in a very tear reunion on her end, as Kohlri soon found herself walking into her son’s life, once again… Compared to her husband, she’s incredibly cheerful and outgoing, with great social skills…and an apparent lack of impulse control, given her purchase history. She’s also, however, who Broly inherited his rage boosted power ups from, given she goes into similar berserker states when powering up, without focus.

She lives alone, making due with what her late mother, who worked as a nurse, had left her with, before passing in an accident, not too long ago. As a duelist, she fully admits her skills as one are extremely mediocre, as she's participated in very few, having spent most of her time trying to study up on the medical techniques her mother once used. She roams around tending to any injured or sick that comes across her, without bias.)
Kuriboh
Silent Magician
Aurora (OC: Aurora’s the daughter of a wealthy couple who’re known to be famous authors, worldwide. Because her parents are always touring around on business trips, she lives alone with her brother in a private mansion. They’re consistently sent food and money, so they never have to worry too much about fending for themselves, financially. Aurora doesn’t tend to leave the house much, and whenever she does, she’s usually looking down at a book, instead of where she’s going…which often leads to her bumping into people or poles on accident. Despite being extremely introverted, she has a notable passion when it comes to reading. So, if she’s not at home, she’s usually at the local library, reading through a mass stack of books. She once got so interested in reading a series that she spent three whole days in the library without leaving, and only left once the librarian found her reading in the darkness of an empty book shelf.

Akira (OC: A super laid back 27 year old woman who works at a small gas station in THE TOWN called Akira’s. She’s a friendly soul treats her employees and friends like family, and gives out EXTREMELY large paychecks, despite her only customers being the people from Mario’s apartment. There are rumors that she used to be a fortune goddess who reincarnated as a human, but she has yet to confirm anything…to the public, at least.)
Kiki (OC: A 19 year old ex-magical girl who was fired from being ‘too old to continue working.’ A fact that she found incredibly bizarre and annoying, but she couldn’t really do anything about it as she just suddenly woke up one day, with a ‘Fired’ letter next to her bed, and no powers. Having been launched back into a normal life so suddenly, after five years of dutiful work, she felt lost, until she moved to THE TOWN with her parents, and was hired by Akira. With such a large paycheck, and friendly co-workers around her, she was able to settle back into a normal life… The craziness of THE TOWN does make her life even more bizarre than it used to be, sometimes, though.
August (OC: A member of the Lethal Company, who recently moved to THE TOWN after being given a ten year vacation by the company for surviving ten years of work. She’s skittish, nervous, and very shy, which would be expected after having survived watching most of her co-workers die at the hands of supernatural beings and harsh environmental hazards. While she is happy to be in a ‘somewhat’ less dangerous environment, she does wish that she never took up the job opportunity to be a space excavator, and stool to working at Dairy Queen.)
Nis (OC: The young princess of the underworld, who rules over all its inhabitants with…a surprisingly lazy and gentle hand. Nis is someone who can best be described as a tired and calm soul, almost always being seen in her pajamas, and resting whenever possible. She’s spoiled rotten by her father, yet never acts entitled. Her favorite hobby is playing video games with her minions and friends…and playing with the magical girls in THE TOWN, who initially viewed her as a threat, but came to view her as a friend after realizing her work was mandatory, and that’d she’d surrender the very moment they showed up to fight her every time.)
Azure (OC: A void dragon appointed by the Underworld’s king to punish souls deemed unfit for the worst of the Underworld. Due to the souls being sent there being very rare and barren, void dragons often spend their time in human form lazing about and playing games in a mansion they made in the void, or the outside world. Azure, himself, isn’t much different. Often spending more time outside the void, than inside. He’s a laid back soul who enjoys playing pranks, and hanging with Rose and Nis, and his sister, Azul. He has a pet stone that he aptly named ‘Stone’, who is completely sentient and talks back, but to only him.
Azul (OC: A void dragon appointed by the Underworld’s king to punish souls deemed unfit for the worst of the Underworld. She’s Azure’s younger sister, and tends to stick by his side, for the most part. She shares his same sense of mischief, but is a little more energetic about it, being more eager to get involved, instead of waiting for the chance to come to her. Like her brother, she spends a good chunk of her time playing games with Rose and Nis.)
Rose (OC: An underworld devil and Rose’s right hand-man. She used to be a human, before suffering an untimely death at the hands of those she once considered friends. Unable to move on, who soul rested in a forest, before being recruited as an underworld soldier by the reaper. She now works at Nis’ side as a dutiful soldier…even if the monarch’s lazy tendencies tend to stress her out, a bit. Because of her being somewhat easily ticked off, Azure and Azul tend to playfully tease her a lot. This, of course, annoys her, but it never goes far.)
Violet (OC: A laid back swordswoman who left a town run by a corrupt kingdom to explore the world at her leisure, having been inspired by her friends at her childhood orphanage to find a better life. She explored the land with a sword in hand, and a carefree nature. When she’s not busy practicing swordplay, she’s finding quick jobs to make cash, so long as it adheres to her sense of morality, or crashing at places with anyone she’s found to be a friend, along the way.)
Mika (OC: A young magical girl who came from a ruined timeline where she was tricked by her magical girl contractors, the Miracle Mirans, into destroying all life on earth with illusionary techniques, making her think she was stopping monsters and saving the world, where instead, she was destroying everything on it. Horrified, she escaped into a different timeline where no such things had occurred, and managed to somehow settle back into a normal life…or so she’d wished. She still experienced horrific nightmares of her crimes, which makes sleeping for her incredibly difficult. Regardless, thanks to her having found a new group of magical girls to keep her steady, as her new friends, she’s finding it just a tiny bit easier to live a peaceful life, once again, in THE TOWN.
Haru (OC: A young magical girl who idolizes Shonen Manga and anime, such as Dragon Ball and Gurren Lagann. She fights crime with a fiery passion and will, while sometimes vastly overestimating how much will alone can do… It worked in Gurren Lagann, though! Her confidence aside, she was the first of the Magical Girls to meet up with Mika, and eagerly wished for her to be her teammate, until the two fought their first enemy together. After that, Mika relented and agreed to be in a team with Haru, in which the two celebrated with Karaoke, courtesy of Haru almost literally dragging her there. She’s aware of Mika’s past, but doesn’t bring it up to avoid making her uncomfortable, and defends her with all her heart and might.)
Lucky (OC: A young magical girl who became one of the world’s most rich individuals, as a result of her family being blessed with divine luck, and winning multiple lotteries over the course of their lives. She’s a friendly soul who became quick friends with Mika and Haru after become acquainted in school, and conveniently meeting up in the same place to fight a monster, when one showed up. Despite her immense funds, she never uses them as a way to make herself look better than others. Instead, she always uses her funds to try and help them/make their lives easier on them.)
Naomi (OC: A young magical girl who works as a part time shrine maiden. She’s incredibly serious when it comes to her work, both in magical girl duties, and out. She encountered the group of three magical girls in the middle of a losing battle, and jumped in to help. After a narrow victory, the group of three spent the next five weeks along her to join their group, in which she eventually relented after being saved by the three in a losing battle of her own. Due to her being the most serious of the bunch, she tends to butt heads with Haru, due to the other’s much more idealistic and joking nature… Regardless, she appreciates the company of all three, equally.)
Iamaslime (OC: The mayor of THE TOWN, who is a slime. He looks similar to that of the slimes in the world of Dragon Quest, and is incredibly lax with the rules of THE TOWN… Or in reality, lack thereof. There’s no actual rules, which explains why randomness and chaos is so apparent in this town. All forms of ‘authority’ are self-governed independent projects and have nothing to do with him.’)
Iamaslimetoo (OC: The mayor’s daughter, who looks similar to that of a slime girl from a certain half genie’s series. Like her father, she’s incredibly lax with the lack of rules in THE TOWN, and spends all her time relaxing, or hanging out at parties with her dad.)
John Gmod (OC: One of the two bodyguards for the mayor and his daughter, and the one with an actual sense of common sense. He’s consistently caught up in his partner’s shenanigans, and always ends up taking half the blame for the other’s nonsense, even if he had nothing to do with it. He wants to retire and move to Fiji, but with his current inability to hold onto funds, that dream seems like nothing more than a dream.)
John Dark Souls (OC: One of the two bodyguards for the mayor and his daughter, and the one who lack any sense of common sense. He’s consistently stirring up trouble, whether it be to him actively coming up with get rich quick schemes, attempting to show off in lame ways to get a date, like riding around THE TOWN in a tank, or just starting fights whenever it’s least beneficial for everyone. His dream is to have a harem and live as king of the world, but that dream is DEFINITELY just a dream.)
Karley (OC: A worker at the Magical Girl Support Center; a business that focuses on assisting magical girls with anything they may need. She takes her job quite seriously. Very seriously, in fact. Her co-workers say they've never ever seen her leave the center, ever since she started working. They theorize she's a spirit that's bound to the building.)
Crimson Disaster (OC: An assassin who started off as an orphan in a poor position before taking up a deal with a contractor to help her get into a better situation. Her ability is known as Deadly Misfortune. This ability allows her to cause misfortune and disaster for those around her, whether it be falling ill to a fatal illness, or being caught in an accident. Over time, she learned how to properly master this ability, so she can channel and direct all the misfortune onto a single target, within a 50 ft radius of her. With this ability, she's been able to stage all her assassinations as freak accidents, without having ever been caught. She seems to have moral standards, though, as she has a strict rule of never going after innocents or kids.)
Soren (OC: A Magical Girl Contractor in the form of an immortal cat. The scarf he wears around his neck was a parting gift from his first contracted magical girl, right before she passed, due to old age. He travels, alone, in search of potential magical girls who could use a little help in their life...He has no ill intent, and simply wishes for their happiness. He understands the world is often filled with people who wish to destroy it, but he never pushes his offer onto anyone if he feels if it'd get in the way of their own personal life and health...)
Nihil (OC: A princess who'd been cursed with dark magic by a demon lord, who's long since been lost to time. As for what the curse did...it didn't really do much, outside of just amplifying her physical abilities, as well as making her desire to be lazy and lounge around even more apparent. She was already like that, initially, but managed to put up a good enough 'responsible' act to fool her parents and the people. With the curse active, she stopped putting on the act, entirely. The king and queen, feeling like their daughter had become some sort of monster, even though that wasn't the case, had a council of wizards seal her away, after many attempts at breaking this 'curse' failed...Thousands of years later, the seal was broken by courtesy of the Mario Bros' apartment exploding one thousand times. Her sealing place was conveniently, right under the building, to be precise. Once she was freed...she lazily said her thanks, and left to go wander around THE TOWN, with no real task or objective in mind...Recently, she got a job at the Magical Girl Support Center as a new contractor, believing that the job could be 'kind of fun'... That's really her motivation for it.)
Alice (OC: A shy and secluded girl who one day found herself making a contract with a certain cursed princess, after the other saved her from the relentless actions of school bullies... She doesn't tend to speak up too much, and is still VERY much so new to her job... Because of the nature of her contractor's powers and curse, she often gets mistaken as a bad guy by other magical girls, courtesy of the fact that her own magical girl makes her look more like a demon princess, than a fellow hero of justice...She also spends an excessive amount of time at THE ICE CREAM STORE, nowadays, due to her contractor's love for the dessert... She doesn't particularly mind, since she likes ice cream, too.)
Alexandra (OC: Local weird woman wants to impress her kids by being the world's greatest villain...but consistently gets told that she has too good a heart to ever fill that role. And thus, she comes up with a solution...to be the only villain, left. Even if she's a goody two shoes of a villain, if she's the only one to try for the role, then she'll be the best by default! As a result, her skillset is based around exposing the evil in people's hearts to the public, and purifying it until there's no evil left. She has no clue that her skillset isn't villainous in the slightest, or what she'll do once she's actually the only bad guy left.)
Miorine (OC: A young girl from the future who grew up, unsatisfied and riddled with sadness in a world where being a hero was frowned upon, and villainized. She wants to see 'true justice' brought back to the system, by working from the shadows to expose and bring to light the true natures of the ones running the show...and taking them out. She knows the people would sooner burn their own houses down rather than admit they were wrong, so she believes the only way to get them to believe in heroes again is to shatter all their trust and belief in the system they oh so abided by, for so long...effectively leaving them to see that they've been living a lie, the whole time. Her Rider abilities are more stealth based, allowing her to mask her presence and erase all traces and hints of her true identity, leaving her as a completely anonymous source. While not too strong in direct combat, she's still far stronger than the average person, and can easily snipe someone out, from the shadows... However, she has, unfortunately, come into contact with officers in some cases...and had to eliminate them, in self defense. She understands the heroes she looks up to wouldn't approve of such shady and violent methods...but she doesn't know what else to do, in a world that would berate a child for wanting to do good. As for a hint at her true identity, an anonymous once said that they 'wanted to be a hero, too.')
Cheri (OC: A used to be idol from a popular idol group that went viral for a few years, before the crowd ultimately lost interest in them, and was fired to be replaced with a fresh, new group of idols. Is currently desperately working side jobs to garner enough money to pay off the debt she owes to the idol company, and is NOT happy about it, in the slightest. She's generally regarded as grumpy, and hard to socialize with.)

So we got the trailer for crossworlds...
Tumblr media
Aaaaaaaand we only got Sage...goddammit Sega...also there's only mobians (yes, I'll call them like that) now??? Like around the world??? The Metal Harbor (if it's Metal Harbor) only has mobians by what I seem...sometimes I'm not sure what Sega is trying to do...I mean it's a spin off but yeah...
Tumblr media
Yes I know, maybe in the future we maybe will get new Characters...but you know, It won't be Honey the cat, it won't be Fang, it won't be the FF, I won't be Fleetway Characters, It won't be Sonia and Maniac, just the characters you have seen 1000th times in a roll.
Tumblr media
I swear, just please give us Legacy or Heritage Characters, that goddammit franchise has so many characters with so many different personalities and stories and we can't even have them in Spin offs???
Tumblr media
There's so many fans of other Characters than the usual ones that appear, but we never get them...
Tumblr media
Heck even Tangle and Whisper! Like, I really hope they're there and Sega didn't show them in the trailer, because man...please Sega...I'm tired of playing Sonic Heroes cast over and over again in the spin offs...
Tumblr media
At least we got Jet I guess...
Tumblr media
Also no I'm not being hateful or telling to not play the game, I'll play it after lmao
Tumblr media
It's just my opinion on it, just think Sega could care a little more about the franchise History...specifically in games where they don't need to care so much about lore...
Tumblr media
Maybe I'll eat my own words? I hope so, I wanna play Ray and Might so bad in a race game and alongside the Modern Cast, like c'mooooon they can be in their classic style tho!
Tumblr media
But all we get is Team Sonic, Team Rose, Team Dark and Chaotix all over again and again plus two different characters.
...Zavok and Zazz are first options...rest in peace Sonic's Elaborated and Huge universe...we miss you already...

Why Sega Finally Gets Sonic Right
Why Sega Finally Gets Sonic Right
January 14, 2025
Growing up with Sonic the Hedgehog has been one of the most nostalgic aspects of my life. From playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the SEGA Genesis to experiencing the grandeur of Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, I’ve seen the franchise at its peak and its lowest lows. Back in 2016, I criticized Sega’s handling of Sonic, lamenting how they had turned an iconic character into a mere tool for selling merchandise. But today, I’m here to say this: Sega has finally started to get Sonic right.
1. Sonic Mania: A Love Letter to Fans
While I’ve never played Sonic Mania myself, I’ve seen enough gameplay to appreciate what it represents. Sega handed the reins to passionate fans like Christian Whitehead, and the result was a 2D masterpiece that brought back the magic of Sonic’s Genesis days. Classic zones were reimagined, new ones were introduced, and the game perfectly balanced nostalgia with innovation. Sonic Mania proved that Sega could still make Sonic’s roots relevant in modern gaming.
2. Sonic Frontiers: Bold Innovation
I haven’t had the chance to play Sonic Frontiers, but the gameplay I’ve watched left me satisfied. This open-zone concept is a major leap forward for the franchise. It’s not just about running fast anymore; it’s about exploring vast, beautifully designed worlds. The game’s serious tone, coupled with the freedom of exploration, feels like a modern evolution of what Sonic Adventure started. Sega’s willingness to experiment has breathed new life into the series.
3. Sonic x Shadow Generations: Getting Shadow Right
I have played Sonic x Shadow Generations, and let me tell you, this game is a gem. Shadow’s gameplay feels distinct and refined, a far cry from the missteps of Shadow the Hedgehog. The mechanics are polished, and his stages bring a level of intensity that complements Sonic’s speed. Sega finally found a way to make Shadow fun to play without overshadowing the blue blur.
4. Sonic in Other Media
Sega’s multimedia approach has been phenomenal. The Sonic the Hedgehog movies were a game-changer for the franchise. I’ve loved every one of them, even though I haven’t seen the third installment yet. Let’s not forget the studio’s decision to redesign Sonic’s look after the original trailer sparked backlash. Listening to the fans like that? Major respect.
The Knuckles spin-off series was another fantastic addition. It fleshed out Knuckles’ character in a way that felt authentic and engaging. These projects show that Sega understands the importance of storytelling and world-building, even beyond games.
5. Embracing the Community
One of the biggest changes I’ve noticed is how Sega interacts with its fanbase. From embracing memes and fan art to collaborating with artists like Louis Guzman, they’ve built a bridge between Sonic’s legacy and its vibrant community. This level of engagement has created a sense of camaraderie between Sega and its fans, making the franchise feel alive and relevant.
What Sega Got Right
Sega’s recent efforts prove they’ve learned from past mistakes. Whether it’s through nostalgic throwbacks like Sonic Mania, bold innovations in Sonic Frontiers, or multimedia expansions, Sega is finally respecting Sonic’s legacy while adapting to modern times. They’re not just making games; they’re rebuilding a beloved universe.

I think my issue with a lot of modern takes on video game creepypastas, particularly the concept of "fixing" video game creepypastas, is that a lot of them seem to believe video game horror revolves around making things visually scary and not like. Considering what would actually make something like Super Mario scary
I've been on kind of a Mario kick recently so I've been interested in recent creepypasta fangame projects revolving around it and they all have the same energy of like. Distorted faces and bitcrushed noises and running from a demon and all that. Analog horror stuff. In an abstracted way it seems more like they're trying to fix Sonic.EXE than anything, but what was wrong with Sonic.EXE wasn't that it's designs weren't scary enough. It fundamentally didn't understand how to take Sonic and twist its concepts in a way to make it scary
Like, take Mario 64 horror and compare it Super Mario horror. 64 has a legacy as a kind of lonely, vaguely uncanny game in the minds of many people. Lots of Mario 64 horror banks on this with surreal imagery and emphasis on extreme feelings of isolation. The early Super Mario games don't have a history with this sort of innate unease, so what do they have to distort and corrupt?
I think the best example of Super Mario horror is Coronation Day. It understands the assignment, that being - Mario games are whimsical, they tell a story without giving much information, and they rely on graphics to immerse the player in the fantastical world. Coronation Day twists these; the story is whimsical in a very dark way, it uses corrupted, vague messages to convey its plot, and it's backgrounds and assets immerse the player in the feeling that something is deeply deeply wrong. Coronation Day absolutely does rely on scary designs and gore and stuff, but I think it would still be impactful without it.
Idk I'm not sure I'm communicating a coherent point here, I just wish these modern "fix-it" takes on Creepypastas would apply more depth than "good horror art = inherently good horror game/story"

So technically, Classic Sonic and Shadow don't really have their "classic" designs but instead modern recreations of their prototype designs, as we all know as basic Sonic knowledge, fan-named respectively Feels the Rabbit and Terios due to previous name suggestions during development,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Modern Sonic however is getting a true by word classic "Legacy" skin with his low poly dreamcast SA1 design, with Classic Sonic reportedly also getting a legacy "retro" skin as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I suggest, to make things fair, Shadow also gets a lower poly SA2 skin and that Modern Sonic gets one his most well known unique prototype design, that being this one,
Tumblr media
Because fun. 👍

Rip of the week: 07/10/2024
Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth
Season 6 No Album Release (Read More)
Ripped by adumb
youtube
A little over a month ago, fans of the Ace Attorney franchise were given a very special treat in the form of the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection - in many ways, the last piece in putting the series' whole legacy up for sale on modern platforms. Yet, as many diehard Ace Attorney fans will tell you, this last piece in particular felt more notable than the rest due to the inclusion of one game: Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Gambit. For 13 long years, this core piece of the franchise built up an air of mystery around it due to being kept exclusive to Japan, only playable internationally through the excellent - yet still unofficial - fan translation. Ace Attorney is a franchise most are aware of, and many have played: yet to be as deep in the sauce to where you're able to champion this untranslated, sequel-to-a-spinoff, six-entries-deep release, takes a true fan. Rest assured, ripper adumb is one of us, and Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth is a damn cool way to champion a game long overdue for the limelight.
It would of course be silly to act as if this rip, six Seasons deep into the channel, was the first time the Ace Attorney franchise was ever shown love on SiIvaGunner. On this very blog I've covered Neo Castelia from Season 3, one of dozens of rips using the beloved Turnabout Sisters theme from the first game, and I was also delightfully surprised last year with the release of Brothers ~ The finale is afoot!, paying tribute to yet another more forgotten part of the series' legacy. But as these two rips alone show, there can be a pretty stark difference in how the franchise's music is used, and the emotional response it garners. Put simply, I feel as if the first game in the franchise, its music included, has become iconic in a way that basically eclipses the entire rest of the series. Be it Phoenix Wright's "OBJECTION!", the Pursuit theme playing right as a witness is about to crack, the aforementioned Turnabout Sisters theme, everything to do with Miles Edgeworth... So much of the series' public perception will always hinge on the love shared for that first entry in particular. That is, of course, because Ace Attorney is a serialized, narrative-driven franchise where everyone is meant to start with the first game; but as a result, its as if each subsequent game in the series then gets less and less love. Compare this to game series like Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog, which always draw in loads of game-specific fans per each entry due to their standalone nature, and thus on SiIvaGunner draw in lots of love through rips like World's Smallest Galaxy, Top G Alert!, You Give Me Color Power, and so on.
What I'm getting at here isn't that SonicHeroesFan1 is some sort of fake Ace Attorney fan due to Neo Castelia's use of music from that first game, but moreso that.... when you get a rip like Brothers ~ The finale is afoot!, or indeed Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth, you pretty much KNOW that it could only have come from someone who cares very deeply about the franchise. And indeed, through adumb's six years of contributing to the franchise, with over 200 rips under his name, a not-insignificant amount of over 10% of those are made specifically in tribute to Ace Attorney. The franchise is already known for its stellar music, yet to leverage it is a different ball game entirely, and one adumb is hardly a stranger to: rips like Tricks Opnalysis, Phoenix Wright defends Mario on charges of Assault amidst others are fantastic, yet few feel as much like a full-on loveletter to the degree that Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth does. Part of that, of course, is that like any Friday Night Funkin' rip on the channel, like Satin PantE's and Satinpanties Symphony covered on here beforehand, the rip basically necessitates going above and beyond with visuals to match the rip. As no separate artist is credited, I'm left to assume that adumb himself did the artwork for the FNF-ified Miles Edgeworth, Verity Gavèlle, and Kay Faraday: and as you can tell just by a glance, they're all fantasitc, in part Gavèlle's cape flowing in the wind. Looking beyond that flourish, though, you'll find a rip that does just what Funkin's rips do best, rearrange a music piece of the ripper's choice into the style of the game's iconic beeps and bahs.
The FNF sound will never be everyone's cup of tea, but it to me has always felt like a really fun way to adapt the wholly-unique soundscape born from the deepest pits of the internet: YTPMVs. The soundscape of YouTube Poop Music Video, born and fostered on the internet by hobbyists, and celebrated internationally on platforms like NicoNico through MADs, feel like they're part of a beating core at the internet's heart, and are still celebrated on SiIvaGunner through rips like The Streamer, Mr. PACs ~ Obamjo-Roomnie, LAST YTPMV^2 OF 2016, and pretty much the entire "The SiIvaGunner YTPMV Collab (Eek!).veg" album. Sure, in FNF, the memetic sample usage or chaotic visuals are no longer there, yet Kawai Sprite has a way of making the game's music still sound appropriately.... "freaky", never letting the streamlining of this weird part of internet culture get too much in the way of properly representing that online weirdness. As a result of this balancing act, a rip like Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth both ends up sounding like a really out-there YTPMV effort using a bunch of bizarre sounds, whilst also sounding *distinctly* like Friday Night Funkin' itself only could.
A big part of that triad in balance comes down to how adumb arranged the rip, of course: keeping a really steady balance between preserving the progression and elements from the original M.I.L.F. whilst implementing the melody of Ace Attorney Investigations 2's legendary Pursuit ~ Uncover the Truth theme. That implementation isn't done solely by changing the leads to M.I.L.F.: While its thumping backing track remains in the mix, its supplemented by sounds taken directly from the Ace Attorney track, be it shredding guitars, the string-led melody, or the dramatic bell rings that just ooze an aura of authority only found in a true courtroom battle. They sound just deep into the mix enough, playing beneath the actual Friday Night Funkin' battle in focus, to where they don't outshine the actual FNF rearranging done: rather, its like a bit of Ace Attorney seasoning added on top of what would otherwise be a standard melodyswap, putting this closer in line with an outright mashup whilst not outright calling attention to said nature. Its a distinctly different way of making FNF rips compared to something like the aforementioned Satinpanties Symphony, one you could hear being implemented in some way back on Epic Rap Battles of History: Funny vs. Funnier, yet feel far more...*realized* here. A perfect balance of the two tracks is found and it leads to the whole thing simply sounding leagues more dramatic.
Of course, that's partially just because Pursuit ~ Uncover the Truth is a legendary theme in of itself - a grandiose aura of authority and grandstanding, led by strings and hope, a theme so perfectly befitting of Miles Edgeworth doing its thing. And yeah - as a substitute for M.I.L.F., it gives a similar sort of climactic feel to it all. Friday Night Funkin's signature character back-and-fourth is a perfect fit for Ace Attorney's battle-of-the-minds setup, and with everything from the aforementioned elements taken from the original Investigations 2 theme to the drop of two voicelines from the game right at the end of the bridge is just the absolute cherry on top.
Through every corner and side of Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth, you can tell that it's an absolute labor of love. It's not necessarily the biggest, most ambitious, months-in-the-making project on the channel, nor even likely the work adumb would be most proud of the way a rip like Staff Roll (SM64) Fusion was for its ripper: But its one you can tell came from someone who loves what they do, and who loves the source material they're working with to a degree not a lot of other fans do. Ace Attorney is, again, a franchise where each game is nestled behind layers of other games to have played beforehand, with Investigations 2 in particular stuck even further behind a region-locked release, which was still not officially translated back when the rip was made. Yet adumb believed Prosecutor's Gambit was an entry worth celebrating and pulled out all the stops to make it happen; and in the end, Week 4 ~ Wanting to Funk the Truth wound up being a damn good banger because of it.

if i could do a sonic universe reboot i would make the sonic satam stuff and the sonic adventure stuff happen in the same timeline. hear me out: all we gotta do is pull a donkey kong junior. we need there to be two sonics without any time travel.
first half ("classic"/SatAM part)
Gerald Robotnik is an esteemed human scientist from Earth in his 60s, working on creating the ultimate lifeform ostensibly for the US government as a weapon but really to save his granddaughter Maria's life.
Gerald's son Julian, father of a child Maria and infant Ivo, is absent from Earth, having inherited Gerald's intelligence but, after living in his father's shadow, has turned mega evil in his 30s and has somehow given himself a one-way trip to Mobius - a planet that has solved all its social problems and has no need for military technology, making it an easy target to be conquered. he turns Mobius into an autocratic dystopia where only he and his robotic army holds any power. desperate to cosmically one-up his father, he keeps his given name a secret in order to be known simply as "Doctor Robotnik" to his subjugated citizens.
cue the Knothole freedom fighters ensemble of Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, Antoine Depardieu, Rotor the Walrus, and a young Charles "Sonic" the Hedgehog. a miracle occurs when the freedom fighters find a Chaos Emerald by chance, and "Sonic" uses its power to remove Robotnik from power, but not kill him - in a show of idealism, he shows mercy to Julian and decides that the Mobians should get the chance to put him on trial. this backfires when Julian gets ahold of some Chaos energy for himself, which he uses to flee back to Earth. given the urgency of his escape, the process by which he flees actually swaps him with his son, stranding a very young Ivo on Mobius.
interlude/timeskip
now back on Earth, Julian Robotnik goes crawling back to his father. the residual Chaos energy surrounding him (shaped by its last natural user, "Sonic") is scanned and partially replicated by Gerald, resulting in the creation of Shadow the Hedgehog. Gerald doesn't actually want to make a bioweapon and secretly puts power limiters on Shadow. when Julian learns of this, he blows the whistle to the government, resulting in the deaths of Gerald and Maria, and Shadow being placed into stasis. Julian is put in charge of the Space Colony ARK and turns it into a Chaos Emerald-powered superweapon, but has no method of returning to Mobius to actually obtain the Emeralds.
on Mobius, society is rebuilt basically as it was pre-Robotnik. the freedom fighters grow into adults and go their separate ways. Charles' younger sister gives birth to a baby blue hoglet, who is named Sonic after Charles' freedom fighter nickname. Charles and Sally adopt an orphaned two-tailed fox, who becomes very good friends with his nephew as the two grow up into their teenage years.
Ivo grows up too, learning of Robotnik's infamy and legacy as the most powerful force on Mobius since its ancient times.
second half ("modern" part)
you saw this bit coming. Ivo has grown up into Doctor Eggman and wishes to turn Mobius (either in full or in part) into his "Eggman Empire", but is constantly foiled by our good friend Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower, who are joined by friends Amy and Cream, and additional cast Knuckles and Rouge. though not seeing any of the action directly at this point, another major supporting character is our old (and now visibly aged) friend Charles, or "Uncle Chuck" as he's known now.
eventually learning of exactly how his father's downfall occurred, Eggman gathers the Chaos Emeralds himself to ensure his victory against Sonic and his friends, but even then is foiled... sort of. the machine meant to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds transports everyone to Earth, a la the beginning of Sonic X. with our Mobian heroes now stranded on Earth and with Eggman beginning to learn of his family's earthly legacy, the events of Sonic Adventure occur.
once resolved, the cast returns to Mobius, including Shadow (wanting to leave his traumatic past of Earth and the ARK behind) and Eggman (what? that sneaky fucker).
the schemes of Eggman continue solely on Mobius as they did before. goodbye Earth forever, Eggman and his Sol Dimension counterpart Eggman Nega are the only humans Mobius ever sees again. the closest Eggman gets to his goal is building "Eggmanland" during the events of Sonic Colours.
...
aaaand scene. that's how i'd put it together. i almost hate to remove Uncle Chuck and Tails from SatAM and but i think it's the only way to reconcile the events of SatAM and the events of X/Adventure without making Eggman just like, Doctor Robotnik but after six years, which i really don't like because actual dictator Robotnik and cheesy villain Eggman are just way too different as characters.
also - and this part is vital - i wouldn't give the aged Charles lanky Modern Sonic proportions in his modern appearance. he's the Classic Sonic and he stays roundie and grows a grey moustache. one must imagine a short old Uncle Chuck at a lanky teenage Sonic's birthday party with the two of them enjoying chilli dogs together.

Any hopes or expectations for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds?
My dream game for years was a version of Racing Transformed that's equivalent to Mario Kart 8 DX, where it's just, like, a remastered collection of every track from all three games in one place.
I genuinely hate it that over the course of three games, it went from "Sega Racing" to "Sonic Racing." Sonic is obviously the popular one, but throwing out Sega's legacy really sucks. Seeing deep cuts like Bonanza Brothers or Burning Rangers was a lot of the fun of those games for me. Cutting out that kind of stuff hurts it. Especially when Team Sonic Racing completely failed to have interesting or worthy replacements.
CrossWorlds is by Hardlight, the same guys behind Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces Speed Battle, so it's just going to be the Sonic kart racing template with a mobile game costume/skin system laid over the top of it. An excuse to have Movie Sonic, Classic Sonic, Prime Sonic, Boom Sonic, and Modern Sonic all in the same game together. We'll have tracks set in Green Hills Montana mixed with Green Hill Zone (Generations) and Green Hill Zone (Forces).
I want two things.
Sonic Dream Team, Sonic Dash, and Sonic Forces Speed Battle are not fast enough for me. Sumo's racers had a great sense of speed and I'm worried CrossWorlds will end up like Cars 2: The Game or Disney Speedstorm where something about them feels oddly slow, like they're keeping the training wheels on for little kids. I want to feel the speed.
I want more than just Sonic characters. I want to race as Kazuma Kiryu. I want to race as Beat. I want to race as Ash from Phantasy Star Online. Tillis from Burning Rangers. Astal. Yes, even Bug. Leave no stone unturned. The deeper the cut, the happier I am. Smash Bros. is the reason anyone in America learned what Fire Emblem was, and now that's an international franchise for Nintendo. Make people care about old Sega properties like that.
I do not have high hopes for either of these things. You got a lot to prove, Hardlight, and Sega's never given these racing games as much respect as they've deserved.
