"Who are you?"

I'm a random person on the internet. I'm pansexual, and genderqueer. I'm mentally ill and I am neurodivergent, though lacking in diagnosis (for personal reasons, I don't have access to the luxury of diagnosis at the moment). I have chronic joint pain, therefore I'm disabled. I'm afab, and i'm a first generation American. My mom is from Israel and my dad is from Russia. I am an ashkenazi jew, and I celebrate jewish holidays and culture with my family, but I do not truly believe in god. Though, I find comfort in jewish beliefs, so i'm not sure where I stand on that at this moment. I am an aspiring medical student, and I love STEM. My fandoms are: MARVEL!!!!!!!!!, Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, Avatar the Last Airbender, Legends of Korra, How to Train your Dragon, DCU (mostly interacting with batfam works), and Voltron.

I've written a lot in the MHA fandom, but I'm not in it anymore. So all my incomplete MHA fics are up for adoption!

I'm currently working on a lot of marvel WIPs that i hope to upload soon! So keep your eyes out for any sneak peeks!! For now, here are the titles of my two MAIN work in progress works: Diagnosed at 93 Lost and Found (And Found Again) But I have a lot more ideas queued up and one-shot ideas that I want to write! Keep in mind, I write almost solely angst or hurt/comfort, and even occasionally I might dip into the dead dove genre.

I don’t know, man. Maybe I was over it as a teenager, when being into a band returned pop-media articles about the color and tightness of the lead singer’s pants, when enjoying a movie meant shot-by-shot inspections and deep-dives into the history of everyone on the crew. Maybe it was earlier, when reading through one battered fantasy book in the school library invited you to consume every piece of the 13-part story in order to get the full picture. And maybe it was later still, well past the point where you could expect to get shunned for admitting you played D&D, where walls of dead-eyed Funko Pops poorly simulated every minor character in every show I liked.

But there was a point where I noticed it, and I couldn’t go back from there. Money’s always a part of the dream, it’s a part of every dream, but you do almost expect the thing to stand on its own sometimes. You draw your little pictures of star-shrouded maidens with silver-fox stoles studded with dragon fangs, and people ask you where it’s from. “Nowhere at all,” you say, because while it’s part Sailor Moon and part Dragonlance and part Lord of the Rings, it’s nothing definite from anything. It’s inspiration, not permutation. No one will ever draw it as a Disney princess; it lives in a binder on your floor.

I like things, sure. I like things enough to tattoo them on my body. I think about Elden Ring in the shower. I lay back before bed, idly wondering what would happen if Harrier du Bois and Duncan Wu got into a buddy-cop thing together. But I don’t think I’ve ever had a fandom, the way I see people have fandoms. The things I love are part of my identity, I can’t deny that, and I’m not secret about it. I’ll go at you for hours about the subtle fabulism of The Neverending Story. But I’ve done all the consumption that I want to do. The love is there; I can hold it in my hands and feel the weight of it. I don’t need to look up the post-movie career of every actor in the film. I can just love it as it is. The active part of love is done.

Because there is undeniably a part where the outside world picks up on the seismic power of adoration and turns it into marketing. Because there was a point when I noticed it, and I couldn’t go back from there. The strings connect everything now. I walk through a world that’s become a mall, where it’s not enough to love a thing without making it a significant part of your identity. Great and formless machines spin to life behind the paperwhite screens of pocket spies that each of us paid to be there, and they guide your eyes toward the vinyl and the cardboard and the sugar that looks like the things you love. Where the love is small enough, light enough that it’s not worth the marketing, people will fill in the gaps. If you can’t eat a cupcake shaped like a Rock Chewer’s face, then look at this Furby someone made to look like Falkor.

I don’t think I’ve ever needed these things to be everywhere I am. I’m never going to be finished, as a person, polished and complete - there will always be room for change, and change necessitates new attachments. I think of how I would have to alter my mind in order to fold up around the things I already love like a flower, like curling around a wound, and I can’t see how I would ever get there. And part of it is prideful, and part of it is mourning. Somewhere in my reticence is a mole of disaffectation, of an intentional pulling-back, of unwillingness to devote my whole self recklessly to a thing that has been sold to me. Because it does hurt, when I see the thing done again, sold again, with profit in place of the dream. I can hear the echo ringing through the hollow of my love when I tap my fingers against its surface.

I will always have a copy of The Neverending Story with me, everywhere I move. It’s my oldest friend. I will always be willing to discuss the characterization of the antagonists in The Legend of Korra; I will always have a D&D story ready to burst out at the slightest provocation. But I don’t want to put it in hashtags. I don’t want to use it to drive engagement. And I don’t want that to be all that people know of me. I don’t want to be categorized by obsession, as that makes any other affection look like betrayal. I want to write my little stories, stories where the heroes have hair like Sailor Saturn and pants like David Bowie, that carry pocket Palantiri that speak with Vetinarian pragmatism, something above and below and beyond and derivative of so many of my kaleidoscopic loves that, when you squint, it looks only like itself.

I would be very, very happy to never be sold another thing.

Nuka Cola Thirst Zapper - the part in the game may was the biggest pain in Fallout history, but I'd always wanted this replica because I'm such a merchandise obsessed haha It was often sold out, but my parents managed to finally get it and it's sooo cool! Maybe a bit small, but as huge Nuka World fan I won't complain

Funko Pops - I always loved the Korra one a lot, the design is amazing! And of course I needed Bruno as soon as he was published lol Both are pretty awesome and I'm glad to add them to my collection

Avatar Chronicles - A lot dislike Korras show, but it's definitely one of my a time favorites! I even love it way more than the original show oops- I actually didnt know about this book till it was recommended because of the Funko, but this book is definitely a must have for any Korra fan! I love it to much how it was made- you even have extras like recipes, letters or fake photographs in it! You instantly feel like being a part of that world

Riverdale Student Handbook - Also here, a MUST have for any Riverdale fan! It's sooo well made and again I love the concept they used because you really feel like being a Riverdale student! There's everything you need to know about the show and in such a good quality I can 100000% recommend!

CDs - of course I needed the new Bastille album (preordered it to get the autographs too) and I finally got doom days too! I'm sad you can't buy the second version of it anymore because I'm missing so many songs- but beside that, GMTF is really good and you def should give it a try! I listened to it every day since it came out and won't stop soon. And OneRepublic of course, how can't you love them- still mad that they chose the worst cities ever to make their tour oof

Marvel- my sister got me some Marvel stuff because she didn't know my HP house- but as Marvel obsessed I'm not complaining lol (she also got me a picture of my recent crush and I died so hard omg)

Washi Tape- there's no time where I won't get new tape. Tape is love. Tape is life. This time I got real cool background sceneries which are so aesthetically!
