PSA, there's a really nasty Discord scam going around rn. If one of your friends DMs you, starting off with a simple "hello" "how are you", may even joke around a little, and then starts asking you to look at a game/project they're working on, don't click the link, don't download anything. If you can reach that friend through non-Discord means, reach out and let them know they got hacked.

One of my friends said the link takes them to a very convincing video game page that has in-game screenshots and stuff, and then gives you an option to download a playtest zip file or something. That download exploits a weakness Discord apparently has for password protected zip files and steals your Discord log-in and changes your account info to the scammer's account info. Two of my friends lost their accounts. Be careful.

Transformers Animated is so funny because specifically Megatron doesn't seem to be aware of the fact that he is in a kids' show. This man is taking everything so seriously. He goes for the kill all the time. He ignores all the 'this show is for kids' things around him. He spends an entire season as a cut off head and tries to kill the main cast at every moment anyway. Starscream betrays him again and he kills him. Starscream keeps coming back from the dead like a cartoon character? Megs kills him again. And again. Dumps his body out and goes back to serious business. Heroes keep attacking him? Fuck you he's bringing out a wholeass sword and a gun and he will use them. Never gonna forget the one time where Optimus saves him and then immediately after Megs picks him up and uses him as a shield. Everyone around him keeps doing and saying silly stuff for the funsies and he ignores them. Amazing. Irredeemable. He does not deal with cartoony stuff and mostly ignores anything that is like a kids show.

Like you could pick him up and plop him into TFP or IDW no problem, he's straight up a genocidal dictator. I love him and his non-silly ass

At the discount grocery store here we grabbed some stuff for our stay. I grabbed some yogurt- I’m not an all the time yogurt person but they had passion fruit which is my favorite.

Later putting groceries away my betrothed said, “I can’t wait to try the water buffalo yogurt.”

I looked up, confused. “The one with the buffalo on the label, you mean? Why?”

They looked surprised, “Because it’s made from water buffalo milk?”

“It’s made from water buffalo milk?!”

“What did you think that meant? They can’t lie about it!”

“I thought it was just their brand name or like, their mascot. It’s really water buffalo yogurt??”

“Yes!” They replied, laughing at my obliviousness.

Question about tattoos, if that's alright! If not, please feel free to ignore this. I have four tattoos, but none were handpokes. I've always been curious about getting one done, perhaps across my hand. Is it truly so painless as you described in the comic? Can you find a professional artist willing to do them? I had one tell me that none would, which was disappointing. Thank you for your time ❤️

based on my experience - YES. it was maybe 2/10 pain for me, it hurt less than getting my ears pierced. it takes a long time and you can kind of feel your skin like. popping. which is a bit weird. i can't say anything about the most painful areas for tattoos but to compare, i have one on my inner bicep next to one of my more painful machine tattoos and i hardly felt the handpoke at all.

you can ABSOLUTELY find professional handpoke artists!!! the idea that you can only get them in someone's dirty basement is outdated, most handpoke artists work in studios and they can be just as clean and professional as machine tattoos. also you can have a nice nap which you don't usually get with most tattoos

An introduction to narrative styles of the Locked Tomb series, care of me rambling about it on discord

Book 1 is like LMAO BONES. And hot girls 😏 Murder mystery dinner party, with sciency magic but mainly we just understand the swords. Protag has no idea what’s going on but that’s actually very helpful for helping the reader understand what’s going on.

Book 2 is like Psychedelic Celestial Griefcore, with very complex magic Sci Fi that gets elaborated on at length. Dark. We are In Space for most of the book. God is there. Protag has no idea what’s going on because her brain is fucked and it’s… sad? And extra confusing for the reader.

Book 3 is like Sunshine and Rainbows! Too much sunshine for most people actually! All the surrounding characters are living in a shitty urban sci fi dystopia but the narrator is full of love and joy in her city of riots and poverty and sweltering sun. Protag no idea what’s going on because she’s only been alive for 6 months. Love & Light 🥰

“When your need grows teeth” is so good I literally bite the pillow like a dog while reading it!!! I need to know more about Ghost and the ‘unlucky person was misfortune enough to unleash the muzzle on that particular dog’.!!!!!

haha i really didn't think people would pay much attention to it, tbh! i like adding little things like this into the stuff i write. a little story within a story, i guess. but i would love to flesh it out, since where it was this undertone of "oh, you..." (sort of cheeky, kinda sly when you looked at the bigger picture) with Price, it would more-so be, "oh, no..." with Ghost.

Price's original convo with Ghost would have been acknowledged as gospel and adopted into Ghost's own scripture for the longest time (since it's my weird little hc that Ghost uses Price as a yardstick for normalcy—or, almost like a needle in his morality compass), and then seeing Price give into those needs was sort of like this big moment that caused that compass to go haywire.

essentially, if Price is a starving dog, then Ghost is one on the verge of death, willing to sink his teeth into anything just to survive. and that's sort of the crux of it. in my head, Ghost would have been unleashed by this, but what took the muzzle off is his own MC, who thinks they're taking in this sick, old dog from off the streets, and helping it as much as they can, only to wake up and realise this dog is rabid. and it already bit them. but what really caused this poor person such misfortune was that little tossed in line by Price when he's volleying with Laswell about his status. Or damn near close to it. and that's what sealed their fate lmao. the implication that this baby is somehow more permanent than a ring.

idk! i like the idea of someone sweet, if a little naïve, being bit by him, a man who wakes up most days thinking he's still buried in a grave. or what happens when a living corpse feels heat for the first time in ages after being given a bed and a warm body with a soft touch. quite catastrophic, imo.

just thinking about the recent stories from the latest update with rafayel going to raymond's funeral, how talia was singing not to raymond and how rafayel positioned the specific flowers (gardenias) towards the lemurian skeleton and not raymond. then thinking back to how raymond was so fascinated by the painting that rafayel made and how thomas had to beg rafayel to allow raymond to buy it. and it makes me wonder, had he obtain the painting after the lemurian skeleton? my silly little thoughts want to say something along the lines of...

raymond had obtained the lemurian skeleton long before the painting that rafayel made. and perhaps something about the lemurian skeleton could have been what had kept him alive. we know that lemurian's blood can resurrect or make one live forever. maybe raymond found that out and that's why he was able to live so long. rafayel could've easily figured out what raymon had done or was doing, hence his intention of creating a piece that raymond would have to get his hands on unbeknownst the danger that lies ahead.

honestly thinking more about it, there was that part in rafayel's myth that 'once you tame a lemurian, they cannot go against your words', so what if that's exactly what raymond had done? tamed a lemurian and demanded everything in their arsenal, to live forever but some mishap happened, and by preserving the skeleton, he was able to continue living, though perhaps his days had been numbered.

after rafayel told talia that raymond was dead, she said "then we can all get a good night's sleep for now" ... clearly showing there is something more that is brewing even after raymond's death. which also reminds me how he had a team that he wanted zayne to join in terms of research, or that's legit what i got from ch2 when raymond talked about xander sciences.

call me silly, but it feels as though this might have something to do with lemurians, their blood and maybe even their practices.
