mini headcanon: one year to raise money for the parks department, the parks and rec crew holds a haunted house event in a shed in one of the parks. Leslie plans it out, Donna does social media promotion, Ben goes out and tracks down tons of fake blood (and chaos ensues making many innocent passers by believe that he's a murderer), Ann and Chris act in it (their hearts are in the right place but neither of them are good at this type of acting), April and Andy also act (they are so good in this. Horror runs in their blood. Andy is scary in a goofy way, April gives these kids nightmares for life), Ron stands outside of the shed silent with an axe and a ski mask (he scares the most kids), and Jerry went to the wrong location.

Can we talk about how parks and rec were so good at the friends to lovers trope

I’m binge watching for the first time in a bit and between April & Andy and Leslie & Ben they really killed it

Like first there’s April and Andy having their really sweet friendship turn into them crushing on each other in the sweet young love kind of way. Like the way he makes her so soft and she brings him back down to earth- they’re just being young and stupid but they’re figuring it all out together and they work so well 🥹

And then there’s Ben and Leslie’s dorky work spouses/flirty friends that aren’t allowed to date dynamic turning into them realizing they’re each others’ person and their work obsessed selves saying screw it let’s be together this is more important than work 🥺 Truly the epitome of best friends to lovers like those two were stuck together like glue for the whole third season I love them sm
