Hey i want to point out something here. (if you don't mind! ) but Walt Disney was very interested by Alice Wonderland book, he made a series (Alice's Comedies) who was his "first" work (even he made 5 little short before...) and a point he created his company (which is celebrating 100 years right now! Coincidence? ) which they are two characters (a little creature and Alice) who looks like Grim and Yuu, more later, he wanted to create an Alice movie instead of Snow White movie! ( https://lostmediawiki.com/Alice_in_Wonderland_(partially_lost_original_draft_of_Disney_animated_film;_1939 ) it was dark and at the end of the movie, alice is carried away by one of the executioners with the red queen who wanted to cut off his head ( https://lostmediawiki.com/File:Off_With_Her_Head.jpg ), so they scrapped and put back later in 1951 with new ideas, Walt disney wanted on one of his interviews to be the white knight. (which parallel with Lewis Caroll role in the book.), but scrapped that idea. ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Knight_(Through_the_Looking-Glass) ), Also Disney thinking his movie was not perfect to his idea, so i defenitevely think Yana wanted to pay homage not only with Lewis works but to Walt Disney works. And that's super interesting! And definitely think the character of Phantom Blot can play an interesting role... (since he's twisted from Walt Disney.) and they defetively put tons of details in his presence in the game. Like the lonesome ghosts was based on the comic "the seven ghosts" in reality. ( https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/The_Seven_Ghosts ), who was created by Floyd Gottfredson, the same creator of Phantom Blot, so well, is Ramshackle based of Phantom Blot? Probably...Especially since these ghosts on twst have the same outfit as Crowley's. Uhm...
Hello anon! Sorry it took me for a while to reply your message because you just gave me information I didn't know and I need to arrange my thoughts to answer your message properly, because I think you might have solved one mystery of Twisted Wonderland!
I didn't pay attention to Disney's side of Alice in Wonderland because all twst analysis and theory that I did previously are only based on Lewis Carroll's work. What you pointed out anon, it all makes sense now why Ramshackle dorm, the dorm that I suspect to be the dorm of Through the Looking Glass is older than Pomefiore but somehow also forgotten. It's because Alice Wonderland was supposed to be Disney's first movie and was actually the starting point of Disney company, even it's already there far before Snow White or even Mickey.
I get it why Disney was so obsessed with Alice in Wonderland that it became his first work out of all and revived the discarded idea of making a movie of it back after the enormous success of Snow White. As someone who love Carroll's Alice in Wonderland series and know some answer to the riddles in it, I want to say there's a reason why Alice in Wonderland (and it's prequel Through the Looking Glass) is one of the greatest books of all time in the world. For those who doesn't know, it's just a children book full of nonsense but for those who knows the secret behind it and at least managed to solve some of the riddle, they'll know that Alice in Wonderland is like a time capsule keeping a lot of secret information behind it, unscathed by time. From math, to mythology, to alchemy, to theology, even culture at that time, everything is there as the logic behind it that built nonsense called Alice in Wonderland itself.
I suppose in the past Disney tried to replicate what Carroll did and revived it as a movie but although it was one of his successfull movie, the critics and even Disney himself was not satisfied by it. It's because Disney himself said the "Alice in Wonderland" that he made doesn't have a heart at all. Even decades after he died, when live action Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass was made, it wasn't even as satisfying in the eyes of critics even though the graphics was admittedly incredible.
We can say that all this time, Disney's versions of Alice in Wonderland are all a failure because even though it's good, it's still not good enough to do Lewis Carroll's work justice. So when there's a rumor saying "Twisted Wonderland was supposed to be released for celebrating the birthday of Disney company" and from what you said anon, if it's true then that's very sweet of Disney JP to pay tribute to both Lewis Carroll and Walt Disney and even tried to fullfil Walt Disney's lifetime wish that was failed to become reality. This is the best gift Disney JP could give to its founder and they did a right choice hiring Yana as she did her job really well of doing Lewis Carroll's work justice in my opinion by re-creating Wonderland of her own version, a world full of wonder that would make us question what's going to happen next after we read the story accompanied with beautiful graphics. She did what the predecessor of Alice in Wonderland couldn't do, and in my eyes, that's very incredible.
And lastly it's just my opinion, but you said "the lonesome ghost was based on the comic 'The Seven Ghosts' " but somehow I just have a feeling that 'The Seven Ghosts' might actually the main inspiration/concept of the seven dorm leaders who are overbloting since the ink monster behind them is called "Phantom". I don't know how to explain, but as we know a character in twst can be a combination of two or more of Disney character in a concept (like Idia for example, who is the combination of Hades and Megara), we can't dismiss the posibility that Yana used The Seven Ghosts as one of the concept for overblot.
Anyways, thank you for your ask anon! I'm really grateful you let me know because I've learned so much from you things that I didn't know!
And Happy 3rd Anniversary twst JP! 🎉🎊

oh to be friends with your nineteen year old mum | By Nevi Ayu E.
and go on a picnic together. I'd love that...
I missed my mum, like bad, especially when Yoonyoung said "Now there's no one who can answer when I call out 'mum'." And wow, she got to meet her mum again on that very day.
There's this part on the show's intention written on namuwiki: Even if there is a murder case presented as the main story, at the end of the day, we hope that what remains isn't the 'incident', but the 'people'. We want to draw out the story about understanding the people around you, the story about people correcting their wrong choices, and the story about meeting your loved one, over a long period of time.
About 'understanding the people around you' point, in Yoonyoung's case, we got her listening to Soonae talk about her dreams and her realising that what her mum left for her was a normal letter, not a suicide note. Then, her understanding the relationship between Heesub and Yoosub. And recently, we got Yoonyoung and Heesub's scenes at the end of episode 8 and 9, which was 데칼코마니 decalcomanie, parallel scenes, because of Yoonyoung's narration, in which she starts by saying: 나는 누구고 여기는 어디인걸까요? 이토록 긴 시간을 건너온 나는... Who am I and where is this place? I traveled to this distant past...
On episode 8 and the beginning of episode 9, she went on somewhere along: Did I travel to this distant past just to hear you say that? At last, everything is clear. For me, you are a pathetic person who I can never understand, no, who I never want to understand.
But then, after learning about what happened and seeing Heesub walk out from the inn covered in bruises and blood asking what he did wrong at the end of episode 9, she said: How should I, who traveled to this distant past, answer your question. Not knowing what to do, I just sit like a fool, here, on your darkest night.
As I write this long post, I am hoping this drama stays fun for me till the end hahaha. Dialogues taken from Korean drama My Perfect Stranger (2023), written by Baek Soyeon.

Percival carefully dyes his fur to differentiate himself from his older brother
I just love how tiny Perci is in relation to their brother
The Editor keeps his round bed.
Percival has the basic house size and a basement // His theme is probably like Neo-Tokoyo mixed with Iron Set
The Editor has a custom home : max front, 2nd Upgrade Top Floor, Basic Left/Right, Basic Basement // His Theme is Ritzy. The second floor is Cityscape. He has pictures of other villagers he has relations with
With a high enough level, The Editor has a low low chance to gift a gold piece or gold blueprint // If bothered enough while stung, he’ll gift medicine but not without chiding you for your slow reaction time
Percival often gifts clock blue prints or clothes
The Editor: “Say thank you Eddy!~”

yumi tamura should do a sequel to 7 seeds once she's done with one of her current series. the ending really made me feel like we've only scratched the surface of what stories she could tell with that cast in that world and the gaiden only exacerbated that feeling tenfold. i want to see them try to live together and build a home for themselves. i want to see what's gonna happen to my poor little meow meow ango. i want to see more of nijiko's character development and ayu's time at the institute (i don’t think we’ve ever really found out where her distrust of men came from?). what about the ark? will they ever unfreeze these kids? etc. it just seems like tamura left herself a door wide-open for a sequel, especially with the inclusion of the letter from the other team at the end and ango&ryou going on a mission around the world looking for other survivors. the story is so ripe with potential and great characters, it would be a waste to just end it here.

Doing some math with the timeline and Gideon and Harrow’s ages... From htn, we know the letter from the Emperor arrives fourteen months before his death, and Harrow’s 18th birthday happens four months before his death. That would make Harrow 17 years, 2 months old at the beginning of gtn. Gideon spends three months training as cav before they set off for Canaan, where they stay approx a month.
Gideon tells Silas she was around one year old when the creche flu happened, which would make her one year and 9 months older than Harrow, which means she should have turned 19 while they were still on the Ninth. But the books are pretty insistent that she was “no older than 18″ at her time of death. (I think that bit is in AYU?) So how do we account for this discrepancy? Possibilities:
a) Gideon was younger than one year when Harrow was conceived. Quite possible, since she doesn’t seem to know for sure. (I’d still love to know exactly how much older she is!)
b) Harrow was a preemie. If she was born 7 months after conception that gives us a bit more leeway.
c) I’m taking the data on the timeline from htn, so it’s possible that Harrow’s lobotomy has borked it and these calculations are useless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PDP National Chair, Ayu heads for court over Suspension
Tumblr media
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, who stepped aside from his position on Tuesday, is set to fight his suspension by a Benue State High Court, Makurdi on Monday. Ayu’s Special Assistant on Communication, Simon Imobo-tswam, disclosed this to our correspondent shortly after the party announced the appointment of the Deputy National Chairman, (North), Umar Damagum Ayu as the acting national chairman. He said Ayu would challenge the suspension order in court. The Igorov ward executive committee in the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State had on Sunday suspended Ayu for alleged anti-party activities and for failing to pay his membership dues. In the aftermath of the suspension, the Benue State court restrained Ayu from parading himself as the chairman of the party following a suit filed by a former aide to the state governor, Conrad Utaan. Ayu and the PDP were listed as the first and second respondents, respectively. The case has been adjourned till April 17 for a hearing. But his Special Assistant on Communication, in response to a question from The PUNCH, confirmed his principal’s plan to challenge the court order legally. When asked if his embattled principal would challenge the court order barring him from parading himself as the PDP national chairman, Imobo-tswam simply said “yes” without entertaining further questions. He however added that the PDP “has said everything concerning the issue. So, there is no need to say more.” Damagum, in a brief interview with journalists in Abuja, explained that he was taking over the party leadership in an acting capacity “to fulfil all righteousness.” He said, “We are here to fulfil all righteousness. We have a court order restraining our national chairman and we are law-abiding. I will be here with you in an acting capacity pending the determination of the court. ‘’I want to use this opportunity to enjoin you to give me the cooperation we all used to have with you. I will have a meeting immediately after this session with the NWC (National Working Committee) to review what is happening in the party.” In solidarity with Ayu, PDP stakeholders from his Igyorev ward protested at the party secretariat on Tuesday. They expressed support for the suspended chairman and further passed a confidence vote in him. Addressing journalists, a ward executive member, Stephen Shimahile, said “We categorically disclaim and disassociate ourselves from the purported letter of vote of no confidence and suspension of Senator Iyorchial Ayu as a member of PDP in Igyorov Council Ward of the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State dated the 24th day of March 2023 circulating in the media “The executive committee members have never discussed in any of our meetings prior to election or post-2023 general election about the conduct of the national chairman in line with chapter 10 section 57 of the party’s Constitution 2017 as amended. “The executive committee members have stated clearly that they have no knowledge of the letter and have not authorised anybody whatsoever to generate such mischievous letter on behalf of the executive committee.’’ PDP executive He claimed the signatures on the letter were forged, stressing that no member of the PDP executive committee of the Igyorov council ward signed it or caused it to be signed on his or her behalf. “The names of the executive committee members are wrongly written and spelt which showed the desperation of the mischief-makers,” he stated. The spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye argued that Ayu’s decision to obey the court order was a testament to the party’s belief in the supremacy of the law. While noting that Ayu reserved the right to seek legal redress, the former lawmaker who represented Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, warned the Governor Nyesom Wike-led Integrity Group not to be too fast in celebrating because “Ayu did not resign; he only stepped aside in obedience of a court order.” He continued, “Ayu has the right to seek legal redress and I am sure that is an option he would explore. Ayu did not resign; he only stepped aside. He will bounce back and for the G-5 governors, we tell them not to rejoice yet because the music has just started. “This is no celebration time for them. By this move, the party and the chairman have both demonstrated that they are law-abiding. Whether the ex parte order was well procured, purchased or induced, Ayu decided to obey it as a law-abiding citizen. There is no point in taking the laws into our hands.’’ Speaking further, Melaye noted, “While this crisis lasted, Governor Wike kept repeating that he and his group wanted the chairmanship of the party to go to the South but in compliance with the constitution of the party, the position has remained in the North. Now, has this helped their cause?” In the same vein, a member of the PDP National Executive Committee, Timothy Osadolor told The PUNCH that anyone ruling out the chances of Ayu returning to the office “does not know the stuff he is made of.” According to him, “Ayu will be back. It is not a question of if but when. As I said a few days ago, the suspension from his ward is null and void because the constitution of the party is clear on the matter. “Only a committee set up by the NEC of the PDP can suspend a national officer of the party. Ayu will prove this in court. He merely stepped aside to show them in court that they lack the power to sanction him as they are trying to do.” On the way forward for the party, Osadolor who doubles as the Deputy National Youth Leader of the PDP said, “It is important that we put aside all pettiness and work in the interest of the party. But some privileged individuals who became what they are today courtesy of the PDP platform want to destroy the party.” A member of the PDP Board of Trustees and former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Opara said that given the turn of events, Ayu was left with no choice but to obey the order of the court. Opara, a former ally of the Rivers State governor, added that the embattled chairman might find his way back to the office if the order against him was vacated by the court. NEC to meet Meanwhile, the highest decision-making body of the party, NEC, is expected to convene “as soon as it becomes feasible” to deliberate on issues thrown up by the turn of events in the past two days. The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Ibrahim Abdullahi confirmed this to our correspondent on Tuesday. Abdullahi said, “A NEC meeting will be held as soon as it becomes feasible. It is in the works, but we have not fixed a date for it yet.” Also speaking on the latest development in the party, the Vice Chairman, PDP, Abia State, Abraham Amah assured the crisis would be resolved by the National Working Committee, the National Executive Committee and the court. Amah, who is also the acting state Publicity Secretary of the party, in an interview with The PUNCH, stated, “For us, this is a developing story. We have noted the suspension of the national chairman by his own ward which is a very serious development and we have also noted the order of a Benue State High Court sitting at Makurdi which had also suspended the chairman and restrained him from acting as the national chairman. In his reaction, the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, asked Ayu to come to terms with the reality that his ‘’calamitous reign has come to an end.’’ The governor also dismissed Ayu’s claim that only the NEC could suspend him. He spoke during the inauguration of phase one of the Trans-Kalabari Road on Tuesday, performed by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State. Wike declared that the embattled party chief could not reap from the party by presiding over its affairs, where he had not sown or secured any electoral victory for it. He stated, “Ayu said nobody can suspend him but today, he has packed out from the national office. We have an acting chairman. I told him he will go whether you like it or not, he will go.” Wike explained the court had in a previous case nullified the sections of the PDP constitution that bestowed powers only on NEC to suspend the party’s national officers. He added, “Those lawyers telling you that the ward has no power to suspend you, that it’s only the National Executive Council, then you don’t understand what is happening. When you came, it was the ward that suspended (Uche) Secondus, and you went and took office, didn’t you?” “So, is it now that you know that it is only NEC that can suspend you? Let me tell you since they’ve not told you: The court has struck off that section of our constitution that says it’s only the NEC that can suspend (chairman). The PDP did not even appeal the judgment. “So, forget it, you are gone. You are wasting your time. We are ready for the battle. I am not from Benue, but I have interest and that interest is that Ayu must go,” the governor said. He pointed out that Ayu’s suspension by his ward executive showed he was not a formidable force and respected political leader. Pointing the way forward for the party, the Director of Publicity and Communications of the Rivers State PDP Campaign Council, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, said the PDP leadership must urgently convene a meeting to address the burning issues that set the party backwards under Ayu. Asked if the party in the state is satisfied with another Northerner stepping into Ayu’s office, albeit in an acting capacity, the former Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications said, “Ab initio, the issue about a Northern chairman for the party was not a major concern. What made it a concern was that the party produced a candidate from the North against the run of play, against the basic principles of the party constitution. ‘Ayu gone’ “So, it is a good thing that Ayu is gone. We don’t believe that he stepped aside. His time was up and not even his friends could save him. Ayu is gone and gone for good.” On whether the party in the state would have preferred a Southerner to step in as Ayu’s replacement, he said, “In terms of underlying principles pertaining to zoning, one will easily perhaps say if we were to take away the presidential candidate from the equation, then it will be the turn of the North to produce the chairman because the last chairman was from the South-South, Uche Secondus.’’ For Chief Olabode George, a former deputy national chairman of the party, where the acting chairman hails from is immaterial. He noted that it was not yet time to clamour for a southerner as the party’s national chairman. He said, “It is not yet time to start saying this is from the north, this is from the south. You see, the election is over and we are in court. We are going to do a proper postmortem analysis of what happened pre-election, during the election and post-election. ‘’That’s the only way this party will survive. I’m pleading that all sides should wait for the court to make its decision on who actually won the presidential election. Whether we win or lose, we must have a postmortem analysis. So, it doesn’t matter where the acting chairman comes from.’’ In a related development, Conrad Utaan, the plaintiff in the suit against Ayu said what the party leader did was the right step. Utaan said that there was nothing special in complying with the court order, saying, “he has no option left for him.’’ The former aide to the Benue State governor said the suspended chairman had done more damage to the opposition party than any other person since its formation in 1998. He stated, “Ayu has done the right thing; we have not known him as a man of honour. But he is being proactive to take this step (of stepping aside). It’s the right thing for a democrat to do to respect the order of the court until April 17 when we shall meet in court. “The truth of the matter is that Ayu has led the party to its worst outing since 1998. One expected him to have left the office as it’s done in other climes if you lead a party to such a disastrous election; you allow a new person to come on board.’’ Read the full article

| so we meet again.
it would make sense that ayu was to go back to school at some point. yukari knew this, despite the arrangement they had amongst themselves, both personally and professionally, as far as black contracts could go.
the author chose to accept this, tending to her heartbreak in isolation as she was known to do before. this was only aided by miyako's attendance, which grew more frequent in recency, and dissipated with time just as yukari's wounds began to show signs of healing.
just because the mind forgets, however, doesn't mean the heart forgives.
somehow, the genre of yukari's books had shifted over to a romantic comedy that ended in tragedy, almost in subversion of what already existed in the market during that time period. her publisher profited, and her wallets fattened -- but it didn't matter how many books yukari found herself publishing on the topic. she still kept a calendar, counting down the days to a summer vacation when she could see ayu once again.
on the first year, she'd asked miyako -- "how is ayu doing?"
the guardian would reply, "alright, i think. she'd been pretty busy lately with homework, and i rarely get a chance to talk to her about her school work."
on the second, she'd checked in once more.
"oh, she's joined an after school club recently. i think it's mandatory these days, and i had to sign a consent form for one of the club's travel activities. yeah… i think it would take up the majority of summer?"
on the third, she tried not to ask.
it was part of her new year's resolutions, then -- yukari had assumed that ayu had mostly forgotten about her, despite the letters miyako kept passing to her on rare occasions that marked the middle and end of each year. it was strange to be licking one's wounds for so long, and by yukari's name sake, she was supposed to have a shell thick enough to withstand the greatest of tides.
so she thought nothing of it when summer rolled around. got past envisioning the red circled dates on the calendar, when she decided to look at them. thought nothing about the empty space in her bed as she shifted to take up its spot, getting used to sleeping alone once more.
she was cleaning her kitchen drawer once (under procrastination, of course. yukari hadn't changed one bit). beside her box of nutrient supplements was a small case of tea packets that ayu had preferred. yukari was of the mind to have thrown it out -- after all, it was one more memory of the missing girl that had yet to be rooted from her home. but upon realizing it hadn't expired, yet, she thought it would be best to finish it with miyako, the next time her editor was to come around.
on such a day, yukari was quick to prepare it. two cups of genmaicha, steeped at a perfect temperature. and she knew miyako would chew her out for not having a draft ready for her yet, sure -- but the time to relax could be savoured for just a little longer. yukari was certain at the time, when a knock came at the door.
"ah! coming…"
when she opened the door, she hadn't expected a familiar face to have greeted her with a yelp of astonishment. had expected miyako to have done the hounding herself, but all she found at her doorstep was a familiar puppy instead.
"s-senpai? ah, hello-- it's been a long time…"
the feeling that overtook yukari was complicated -- a mix of tenderness, adoration and longing that welled at the corners of her eyes all at once. there ayu was, once more, now different, and it was as though the world had stopped for yukari herself to appreciate the moment.
that being said, time continued to flow for the grown middle schooler, as she glanced to her phone for instructions.
"um, miyako told me to fetch your documents from you today… actually, she told me i would be interning for her for a little while this year, and that i'm supposed to be in charge of watching over you again, as i did before…"
if yukari smiled, it was in acknowledgement of that strange, twisted truth; that nothing had changed, yet everything still did. she wasn't sure whether to cry or not, to laugh or not, to find the situation amusing, or otherwise.
there were many questions, bittersweet and honest, that would've been deemed worthy by anyone else in her position to have wanted to ask.
but yukari, ever the pragmatist, decided well upon her first few words.
"welcome back, ayu. i'm so glad we got to meet again."

Any thoughts on the theory that everytime a Yuu fails, another is called to not only replace, but also succeed.
It must be because of there are so many adaptions to the game, isn't it? But personally I would like to think of it as the same case like Hatter and Hare from Alice in Wonderland and Hatta and Haigha from its sequel Through The Looking Glass. Even though Hatta and Haigha has the same design as Hatter and Hare, but Lewis Carroll never said if Hatta and Haigha are the same person as Hatter and Hare, nor Alice thought so in the story. It's because the "Wonderland" in Alice in Wonderland isn't the same as "the world behind the looking-glass" in Through The Looking Glass.
So based on this I would like to think that it's not " everytime a Yuu fails, they would be replaced", it's more like "They're in Twisted Wonderland but in a different Twisted Wonderland (another Universe) and thus each Yuus are in separate timelines from each others. So whatever they fail or succeed it wouldn't give impact to the Twisted Wonderland in another separated timeline and another universe.

Will there be enough strength To overcome the raging current? It carries a fish...
A poem from Yasutomi Saisuke’s letter about Hijikata’s death. It's speculated to have been written by Hijikata.
Original
早 き 瀬 に 力 足 ら ぬ か 下 り 鮎
Analysis
Ayu fish (鮎, the fish mentioned in the poem) live in rivers and lakes and go to the sea in winter. They live only one year, rarely two or three. Eggs are laid in rivers in the fall, and hatched fry are immediately carried away to the sea, where they spend the entire winter, and by spring grow up and return to the rivers.
A very common fish in Japan. Hijikata caught one in his native Kamogawa river, about which he wrote about in one of his haiku [T/N: the haiku mentioned the Tama River in Hino instead of the Kamo River in Kyoto]. There are assumptions that the author of the haiku in this letter is none other than Hijikata. In favor of this, the Japanese themselves put forward two good reasons:
1) It's inappropriate to call a commander an ayu fish, much less compare him to a helpless fry (see the cyclical nature of ayu life).
2) Haiku, as we know, should have words that reflect the seasons. Poems in spring are about spring, poems in fall are about fall. And here, veiled, a poem in spring is about fall (see above).
But this is just speculation. Perhaps Yasutomi Saisuke wrote in spring about fall to emphasize how he was grieving. And what about the fish - it may have been his own death poem, which he dedicated to his commander at the same time.

As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, Wednesday, resigned from the party and quit partisan politics. [caption id="attachment_37491" align="alignnone" width="1000"] Metuh[/caption] He citing the need to contribute to the nation’s building “without the hindrance of partisanship.” In a letter dated October 25th, 2022 and addressed to the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, Metuh said a copy of his resignation letter has been transmitted to his ward chairman in line with the provisions of the PDP Constitution. Read also>>>BREAKING: Court Slams FG N500m Fine Over Kanu’s Rendition Titled “Resignation from the PDP,” Metuh stated that his decision to say his goodbyes to the party was taken in the course of his recent medical trip abroad. The letter read: “During my three weeks trip for medical and personal reasons, I came to the realization that I can no longer play partisan politics in Nigeria. The reason for this decision is that from my experience and the nature of politics and development in Nigeria, I believe that I will contribute more to democracy and good governance in Nigeria by being non-partisan. “Being non-partisan gives me the status to work for the strategic interest and well-being of the Nigerian people without the hindrance of partisanship. “In that regard, I write respectfully, to formally inform you of my resignation from the PDP and cessation from partisan politics. “I have duly enjoyed my membership of the PDP and remain proud of being the longest-elected member of the National Executive Committee, one who won election to serve in several national positions at six consecutive National Conventions of the party. I will cherish the values and ideals learned from the founding fathers at the inception of our nascent democracy. “Any future participation in politics will only be limited to non-partisan involvements in areas of sustaining and deepening democracy and governance in Nigerian and at the global level. “I pray you continue to insist on issue-based engagement in our political space as the country cannot afford the bitterness and divisions that may arise otherwise. “In line with the constitution of the PDP, I have forwarded a copy of my resignation to my ward chairman.”
