Okay, I trust that you guys know what you're doing when you say to follow the recommended order, but this one maybe feels like it should have been earlier on based on some of the dialogue etc.? We'll see. 🤔
Damn, Eliot.
"You gave him speed??" "He beat up a priest."
Not sure that's how it would work, though, but okay.
Stigmata paintball gun. 😂
Yeah, still getting the feeling the continuity is a little off.
Eliot's hair is very straight in this episode.
And also shorter than in the last one I watched. What'd I just say.
Yeah, that is a very fake fake miracle.
Honestly, I'm surprised if there isn't a "Bibletopia" somewhere in the U.S.
Teamwork, baby. Oh, was that the first Hardison/Eliot bro-fist thing or am I forgetting one? Well, definitely the first one related to Parker.
Honestly, the continuity is really confusing with this one. Oh well.

Inde watches “The Tower Job”
Leverage Redemption 1x04
The description warns about recent events affecting the viewers and if I remember correctly when redemption first aired it was right around the Miami(?) apartment collapse. Dang.
Listen let Harry take initiative on this one okay.
“So she thinks she has taste” I love you Breanna
I love Parker dropping in more
And Breanna just being like I can just have the plans? She wants to steal so bad
Ahhhhh I love Eliot and Parker standing so close. And the klingon I can’t those nerds and the smile Parker has hehehe now Eliot’s grumpy again and she loves it
10 million hurts my brain too Breanna
Eliot’s head shake at her French hahaha I love them
Why is the wife and driver giving affair
“Because my American accent is better than yours” honestly I wanna explore Parker’s language mannerisms (? Idk if that’s the word I’m looking for)
Harry I love your enthusiasm. There isn’t rules just guidelines haha
Also Sophie’s fit is so nice
Parker I too am uncomfortable in business clothes
Idk which pair is having more fun Harry and Sophie being annoying or Eliot and Breanna destroying things
Off brand European tranquilizers goodness gracious
Nooooo Harry not you being in on the first lawsuit
“Your screwups make me look good” once again Breanna I love you
“The man’s trying to make amends I respect that” ugh Eliot my heart
Parker once again on the ceiling I love you. Reminded of Hardison always finding her places with rafters
Oooo Eliot love you suggesting the play of the con
Love Breanna and Harry being newbies supporting each other
The way I screamed with Breanna’s character
I love them all supporting Breanna’s art and then just Eliot’s “WHERE.” I LOVE THEM
Mrs Crawlys “I did a year at college of art” is like my “I did a study abroad” 😭 I’m sorry but I get her
Love Harry and contract law hehehe
“We never say no to parties” I love her and how foreboding that sounded and now I’m thinking about every other party the original leverage team invaded hehehe
Oh goodness not Parker knocking Breanna out hahaha but love Eliot helping her up. I’m only four episodes in but I’m desperate for new team old team bonding
Harry and Parker begging for the safe I love them
Eliot absolutely hating the kissing up he just had to do hahah I love him
THERE IS AN AFFAIR
Not Eliot’s lack of tipping annoyance reminded hahaha
Okay I am loving learning more about Harry and the changes he’s making. I get the doing your job and doing it well because who doesn’t want to do that but then realizing it’s not something that you want to be doing.
“We’re not heroes. We’re just necessary”
“ Sophie Parker Hardison and Nathan ford showed me there was another way” ugh Eliot my beloved but HA PARKER IN THE BOX
Wait I love Parker’s fit
Lil Bucky hehehe
“Wow Harry was a good bad guy” yeah Breanna he was I might be taking notes because I gotta retire one day
“I’ll go find some chopsticks” girl
I am also taking notes from Breanna dang
HARRY KEEP IT TOGETHER
“And you’re not graded on a curve Mrs Casey” dang
Oh gosh nvm as someone who also sometimes experiences vertigo get that remote away from me
I love Sophie narrating this whole thing as a show
Breanna putting on the headphones with that evil smile I love haha
BREANNA YES I TOO AM A CHEERLEADER WHEN ELIOT FIGHTS I love her enthusiasm so much and narrating. Eliot don’t deny it you’re flipping the sticks to show off
As much as I love leverage they do have a couple of iffy episodes where they really cause some trauma like wow I’m rooting for Harry rn
That chute thing would terrify me but I love that Parker is loving it
Love them buying the tower
Gosh the change in Harry from being in the first lawsuit to protecting the victims in the next
“It’s not every day someone gets a little piece of their soul back” ugh this was good

What are your favourite Marissa comebacks/sassy moments? (She deserved to be wayyy snarkier than she was but I find her humor very underrated)
Ooh fun
1x02 in the car with Seth about liking punk music
1x02 calling out Seth for him being stuck up (cries, future besties)
1x04 getting Anna to be Ryan's cotillion date over Summer (she thought she was being so slick)
1x05 "So how'd it go with the dancer?"
1x05 "Can I have one of your tanktops so I can be as cool as you?"
1x07 vending machine "Actually, I think she was a woman" line of all time
1x10 outing Caleb/Julie on the yacht
1x11 the moment at Theresa's door when she nods at Ryan before going inside
1x12 "I didn't tell anyone"
1x14 "Like I said, yep. Happy New Year"
1x21 "Why? Because we go to the same school or because I live here?" (this is so cold but she's not only not wrong but also finally has some bite again)
1x23 threatening Julie that she'll spill the beans about Luke to Jimmy/Caleb/her therapist/the cops/etc we love a princess with leverage
1x25 inviting Aunt Cindy to the engagement party
2x07 "Of course I'm screwed up! I'm the daughter of a thief and a slut" (I find this scene very unserious but I... love this line)
2x12 "I did some real soul searching" "I hope you didn't hurt yourself"
2x14 "You have my cell if Caleb kicks and you need help counting your cash"
2x16 this whole Julie exchange "You enjoy living in squalor?" "Well you and Caleb don't live here so it can't be that disgusting" "Maybe I'll just steal, you know I'm really good at that"
2x17 "You remember what happened the last time you came to Chino?" "Yeah, I saved your ass"
2x24 "Paychecks are handed out on Mondays"
3x02 "You're getting good at this, aren't you?" this doesn't really fit the prompt but I love how amused she is saying this
3x10 "I love Chrismukkah" "So we've heard"
3x17 my memory is funny on this one but "I'm seeing Dr. Roberts" "You don't look like you've had anything done"
3x19 (i think) that scene with Summer comparing her to Veronica Mars "solving this week's mystery"
3x22 "If I was in your circle of friends I might accidentally let it slip that you used to do musicals"
3x25 "I'm really gonna miss you bossing me around"
I'm sure there are some more that I'm forgetting! And I'm sure they don't all fit but 🤷‍♀️ Also the Malex era probably has more but my memory isn't great there either unfortunately.

Note
If you decide to give Leverage a chance, the season 1 watch order is out of whack. You can watch it any way you like, but the character/relationship development is more seamless if you watch it as originally intended. The intended watch order is 1x01, 1x02, 1x07, 1x09, 1x08, 1x04, 1x03, 1x05, 1x06, 1x11, 1x10, 1x12, 1x13. It's ridiculous but it aired on TNT so... :)
i... ok thank you! lmao

*Meekly raises hand* I'll take a stab at answering the second question.
I don't think Callum would sacrifice the world for anyone, even Rayla and/or Ezran, because (1) he greatly values the "Greater Good" in the way he personally defines it, and (2) while he has gone to great lengths to protect Rayla and Ezran, even in emergency circumstances Callum still ensured no lives were harmed and damage was minimized, putting into doubt how much harm he'd actually accept.
Callum values the Greater Good
From the first episode, as soon as he hears word that assassins are coming for the king, he hops on a horse to come with the attack party.
Tumblr media
Callum: I know what's going on and I'm coming with you...He’s our king and he’s my father. It’s my duty to help him.
This shows from the very get-go that Callum is willing to put his life on the line for a cause (in this case, duty). However, as circumstances evolve, Callum prioritizes causes greater than obligation to specific individuals, even family. When given the choice to go back and save his stepdad...
Tumblr media
...Callum chooses to prioritize the egg instead.
Tumblr media
So, even though Callum does value protecting or helping the lives of those closest to him, when the rubber met the road the thing that Callum prioritized the most was returning the Dragon Egg and stopping the war. What mattered most to him was the "Cause," the greater good.
Now, there's an argument floating around that the reason Callum chose to return the egg is because he actually just wants to get Ez out of danger and prioritized him over Harrow (i.e. that Ezran is in his inner circle, but Harrow isn't). However, this argument falls apart when you consider that, even once Ezran himself was out of danger, Callum still pressed on with their broader quest. Despite multiple times Callum could have brought Ezran home (1x04, 2x02, 2x03, 2x09, 3x08), yet Callum still chose to continue with their mission.
Even when Ezran himself insisted on going home, Callum still chose to pursue the mission over returning with him, completely contradicting the argument that he valued Ezran over the mission to take Zym home.
Tumblr media
We have no reason to not take Callum at his word, that returning Zym was the most important thing they could do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most tellingly is that, when Ibis insisted that Callum take Zym far away from the Storm Spire, he initially wants to leave because it's what is best for Zym, but is easily brought around to wanting to stay and fight to stop a great evil (Viren) from spreading his influence. Evidently, doing whatever was best for his "inner circle" didn't enter the equation.
Tumblr media
In short, Callum consistently displayed willingness to sacrifice his own wellbeing for righteous causes, not merely protecting loved ones, whether out of obligation or idealism.
Callum avoids harm where he can
There are two instances when Callum uses Dark Magic, and both times he uses it to save Rayla. Proponents of Callum sacrificing the world for her typically spotlight this fact.
But it's worth looking at how Callum uses Dark Magic, and how that's different from what Viren and Claudia do. Callum only uses ingredients that are already dead. So ultimately, no creatures are killed from his actions, which has been the chief objection against Dark Magic.
Tumblr media
He also only uses dark magic for one narrow objective - to dispose of a set of chains. In both instances, despite the wider destructive capacity of the spell, Callum solely leverages them for defense in minimal ways. He never harms others with his spells.
Tumblr media
So, ultimately, whenever Callum casts a Dark Magic spell, he takes great pains to ensure that no one else is hurt. The only casualty is himself.
Tumblr media
Which illustrates my point here: Callum is willing to bend his morals a bit for his loved ones, but only when no other greater good is harmed by that, and works to ensure that only he is hurt by his own actions. This is a far cry from "dooming the world for his friends."
Callum taps into Dark Magic in circumscribed ways and in isolated situations, and only when no better path exists to protect his loved ones. The only times he's ever used Dark Magic was when there was an emergency circumstance, no other greater good was affected, and it was used to the narrowest extent necessary. That to me seems like he's his principles would prevent him from “dooming the world” at a whim for his friends.
TL;DR
I'm not saying that Callum is flawless. Far from it. He's reckless, impatient, and has a dark side that he's only just starting to confront and accept. But just because he has flaws doesn't mean he has these particular flaws. He's always had a strong moral center that drives him to do the right thing, even if he has to choose it over people he cares about. When he has to do use dark magic for his friends, he takes great pains to ensure he uses no more of that magic than necessary and that no one other than himself is hurt. That doesn't read like someone who is willing to destroy the world for his friends.
Tumblr media
Well, the votes are in, and I gotta say, I was a bit surprised to find that a slight majority of voters don't think that Callum would sacrifice the world for Rayla or Ezran.
Needless to say, it looks like the vote was fairly close, so I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts:
If you think Callum would sacrifice the world for Rayla/Ezran, why do you think so?
And if you don't think Callum would sacrifice the world for Rayla/Ezran, why don't you think so.

notable moments from The Miracle Job
leverage 1.04
Eliot: That was the worst night of my life.
Parker: Come on, man, you've been in worse situations.
[Flashback]
(money is thrown on the table while a man loads one bullet in a gun and spins the barrel. He points it at Eliot’s head and pulls the trigger. Eliot flinches, but the gun does not go off)
[Leverage Kitchen]
Eliot: No. no, that was the worst.
what a dramatic little bitch
,,, also I’m always down for wacky eliot flashbacks
- - - - -
Parker: That’s St. Nicholas?
Hardison: Yes.
Parker: Santa Claus has a church?
Eliot: He’s not Santa Claus.
and the saga of parker loving christmas beGINS
- - - - -
Hardison: You think that we just gonna walk into some random tunnel and find some cholos just all yoked up? You know?
Eliot: Hardison—
(gang bangers follow Eliot and Hardison into the tunnel)
Hardison: "Yo, holmes, let me fix my do rag..."
Eliot: Dude, quiet. Listen. (turns around) Boys. We don't want any trouble. All right? We just want some answers.
Gang Leader: How's this answer?
(the Gang Leader holds his shirt aside to show the gun tucked in his waistband. Eliot reaches out and puts his hand on the gun, cocking it)
eliot’s bde move? how the fuck do you even RECOVER from that???
(another gang member pulls a gun and points it in Eliot’s face)
Eliot: You seeing this, Hardison?
Hardison: Yeah, the--the situation has my attention, yes.
Eliot: You see that's why I don't like guns. They have a specific range of efficacy. See, most guys make one mistake. They get too close.
(Eliot grabs the gun and head butts the gang member, emptying the gun and dropping it on the ground)
eliot hates guns and I love him for that
Eliot: Who rolled... a priest?
Gang Leader: We didn't beat up no priest. We are not monsters.
(Hardison notices a third gang member moving restlessly. He hits the man in the shoulder, and the man goes down in pain. Eliot grabs the gun from the Gang Leader’s waistband)
Hardison: Dislocated shoulder's a biatch. Priest gave him that.
Gang Leader: You beat up a priest? (looks at Eliot) Do you mind?
Eliot (hands him the gun): Be my guest.
Gang Leader: (points gun at gang member) You got a long penance ahead of you. Start by answering the man's questions. Now!
Eliot: Who hired you?
Gang Member: I don't know. I got a call on my cell with an offer, and I called him back after the job was done. He paid me. That's all I know. I swear.
Hardison: You got a number?
(Gang Member pulls a piece of paper from his pocket and hands it to Hardison)
Eliot: Can you do something with that?
Hardison: Seven digits. I could find you on Mars.
Eliot: Gentlemen, we'll leave you to your internal affairs. Come on.
(they walk away, out of the tunnel)
Hardison: How 'bout that? Man, you-you see me?
Eliot: He was injured.
Hardison: Well, somebody got to fight the injured. Shoot, that's my niche
me too hardison
also LMFAO eliot is so done with you you’re lucky he already has imprinted in you
- - - - -
Sophie: What is that you just took?
Grant: Xanax.
[Construction Site]
Grant: For my nerves.
Parker: Actually, caffeine. With a dash of dextroamphetamine.
(Hardison looks at Parker in surprise)
Eliot: You gave him speed?
Hardison: He beat up a priest.
hardison and eliot went from scandalized to mmm, seems fair REAL QUICK
- - - - -
Eliot: How do you know all this stuff?
Nate: I went to school with father Paul. to, uh...seminary school.
(they enter Nate’s office. Eliot hands Sophie a cup of coffee)
Eliot: So you dropped out of priest school to become a -- an insurance cop? And now you're the leader of a band of thieves. Nice.
I love eliot
- - - - -
Hardison: Y-you-you’re a catholic who wants to fake a miracle. I’m pretty sure that puts us in moral-sin territory.
Eliot: So now you're religious, too?
Hardison: No, no, I’m not denominational. It’s just, I never do anything my nana said "don't do." This, what we doin', it just don't seem right.
additionally, the hardison loving his nana saga begins
- - - - -
Nate: Give Hardison anything he needs.
Hardison: As long as I don't have to do anything immoral.
Nate: Ah, absolutely not. No, I just need you to figure out, you know, how to fake a miracle.
(Eliot laughs)
Hardison: We all going to hell
eliot being a little shit to hardison? always iconic

Grant (entering room): Yes, ma’am, thank you for your opinion. (hangs up) Ok, I just received a threatening phone call -- from a nun!
G O O D
- - - - -
I love the shots where the ot3 walks together they cute as hell
- - - - -
Hardison: Hell fire, damnation, et cetera. You know what? I’m gonna step over here, so when the good lord throws down on all of y'all, I don't get hit by the lightning.
Parker: Wasn’t Zeus the one with the lightning?
hardison having a freak out meanwhile parker’s just trying her best

Hardison: Bibletopia?
Sophie: The man cannot be stopped!
Parker: It’s like everything we throw at him just makes him stronger.
Eliot: Kind of admire him, though. My nephew would like Bibletopia.
Hardison: Oh, no, see? This is what happens when you mess with god. He raises up your enemies with his right hand, and he smites you with his left.
ELIOT META: he has at least one sibling and a nephew fic writers take n o t e

- - - - -
Hardison: I hope this is the part where you suggest prayer.
Nate: No, the weeping statue of St. Nicholas is not gonna be stolen. It's gonna miraculously disappear in the middle of tomorrow's mass.
Sophie: I’m sorry?
Nate: In front of the priest, the Vatican, the entire congregation.
Sophie: Have you learned nothing, Nate?
Nate: How much does the statue weigh?
Hardison: About 900 pounds.
Nate: Good.
Hardison: I am so sorry, nana.

Grant (to Sophie): Kristi, save me, huh? You can spin this, right? instead of, uh, "felony," maybe soften it to, uh, “controversy" or something.
(cops continue to pull Grant away as press follows)
Sophie: You know, when you say "controversy," I always hear "attention”.
*john mulaney voice* sophie is a bitch and I L O V E H E R

(Nate looks at the candles along one wall and walks over to them. He lights a candle as the rest of the team waits. After a moment he rejoins them and they walk toward the door)
Hardison: Look at that. Saved a church.
Parker: It’s like Christmas. See? I told you St. Nicholas is Santa Claus.
Sophie: No, he's not, Parker.
Parker: Well, who is he, then?
Sophie: St. Nicholas… is the patron saint of thieves.
