What do you think CPC genderbend names would be? Like ofc Whitney fits perfectly either way. BUT I wonder, what names would work bc my brain is currently not working and conjuring up names like Fredolina and Blainia for some reason.

I'd like to say I am and will never be good at naming things, my new pokemon file is proof of that.

I'm also curious about the harder names like Calpernia, which is latin and not as popular or well used as the alternative Calpurnia which is Julius's wife. But tbh I dont wanna call male Calpernia, Julius nor Caesar.

It was not his decision. The producers said they wanted a shocking twist and that they would be killing him off for a big new story to kick off. He was quite teary talking about it when interviewed.

Anonymous asked: Rishi was axed :( Bhasker said on a TV interview this morning the producer rung him up and told him they were killing him off for a big story and a big surprise.

Aww that's sad that he was axed, especially because Bhasker seems like such a nice guy who really enjoyed the job.

Thinking about it more, I'm really of two minds about it all.

On the one hand, I can commend them for actually making a real decision and taking a risk like this rather than just killing off characters whose actors have quit. I can also commend them for managing to keep this quiet so that it was actually a shock death despite the heavy foreshadowing in the episode.

And I said before, they haven't really known what to do with Rishi for years and without Priya too, he's definitely become more of a spare part but at the same time, he's a more relevant, less dull character than say Harriet who they also axed. And with the story at hand and Jai's impending guilt, it's definitely a death that will be more meaningful than some others. And I think in that sense, it's potentially a good risk to take.

On the other hand, the story to get there is...meh. I mean I've seen it pointed out that this is like the fourth or fifth time they've gone for the whole I'm not your dad it's my brother story and that's totally true. We had Cain be Zak's and not Shadrach's. We had the whole Adam is James's son and not John's and the really stupid story with Amelia being Daz's and not Dan's, which was extra irrelevant. So it's really just an overdone story at this point, which is pretty par for the course with the terrible trio. But it also just feels even more cruel to the characters since they then killed Rishi off without any resolution and I'm sure Jai's guilt over all of this will be exhausting to watch. It sort of feels like shock for shock's sake and cheap drama. It depends on what they do with it.

I can commend them on wanting to build up a non Dingle family, but I feel like this whole story has been rushed and a bit short sighted. Everyone immediately knew the brother twist and that Suni would be Jai's half brother. But like imagine if they'd brought Suni months ago and used him in the Nicky story instead of Ally. We'd have seen Nicky sort of reluctantly start something with Gabby and then meet Suni and hit it off with him and it would be clear that something was happening between them and we could have gotten the gay reveal before the Caleb reveal so you would have been intrigued why he would continue this relationship with Gabby and that would make the Caleb reveal more interesting. Plus we could have really seen the Nicky/Suni relationship develop as part of a larger plot and then try and work things out after it all came out rather than Ally just immediately exiting stage left never to be seen or heard of again. And then we wouldn't have immediately suspected that Suni was Jai's brother.

I don't know. I just think there were ways to rebuild the Sharma family without it having to be a paternity twist. And if they then bring in Suni's dad or Suni's sister than it really does feel like they just cleared out one set of Sharmas (Rishi, Priya, Nikhil) and replaced them with another (Amit, Suni, Nisha) and that's not really building up the family.

Ah well...at least I like Suni as an addition so far. There's that. But I'm sad for Bhasker and I'm not exactly looking forward to Jai's impending grief and guilt spiral and I really hope they don't do to Jai and Laurel what they did to Leyla and Liam after Leanna's death. I want Jai and Laurel to stay together and I don't want anyone to relapse please. We can touch on it, but I can't deal with any more drug storylines for quite a while after the Leyla debacle.

🎬‼️AOTV Spoilers‼️ babygate free version

OK, I’m going to try organizing my scrambled ADHD brain thoughts on AOTV as several others have done here.

First off, let’s talk about the One Direction nostalgia… FUCK. That killed me. I know it sounds fucking dramatic, but for so many of us having Zayn leave, babygate, and then the break back-to-back was just like blow after blow. I honestly felt some weird kind of grief response as I watching, my heart just broke for Louis and for all of us over again. I realized how NOT over them breaking up I am, but I also am happy it happened. I can’t imagine where they would all be if they were forced to continue down the path they were put on.

I appreciate how honest he was about his grief. We knew, but like, it was never said as clearly as it was in the film just how dark of a space he was in. Hearing about Jay, and everything she was to him again, just wow. What an incredible woman she was. Also Lottie saying they did all they could to help Fizzy but ultimately they failed, that was brutal. Bless them all, they are so strong.

I said this in a separate post, but I feel like those moments that they chose to show H were so so beautiful and important. Louis definitely picked a moment where H was just looking so perfectly feminine and beautiful and himself. Louis is nothing but proud of his person.

I found it hilarious that both Liam and Niall were in it, like fully spent time with him and filmed for this doc. I know they were playing at similar festivals, so it was convenient, but how blatant to have nothing with Harry post one direction, too obvi in my opinion haha.

There was a moment and god I wish I could remember it better, but he mentions how during his struggle with getting back on stage and his confidence, he says he feels like he’s two different people and he struggles to combine and reconcile those two parts of him. I think this was deliberate and obviously much much more layered than just what was shown and I can’t wait to watch that bit again.

Obviously so many good tour moments, except when they talk to fans. I also hate that shit and cringe and I don’t know why they talked to the people they did. The rainbows everywhere was hilarious, because it was clear how they are present EVERYWHERE, no matter which country they are in. If I was in the GP and didn’t know about Louis, I would be hella confused by that, especially because it is just *not mentioned*. I’m OK with that, if Louis really wanted to deny his sexuality again right there, he could have commented on being ONLY a straight ally to all of these queer fans, but chose not to. INCH-resting to say the least.

One thing I can say throughout the entire film is that I do feel like 90% of it is authentic and real and Louis. I feel like we’ve seen glimpses of him because of tour, but even then, he’s in full performance mode. So seeing so much footage of him in his personal and private spaces was wild, something we haven’t seen a long time. That alone was worth it for me to watch the movie and I’d watch it over and over again.

I guess if upstead babies never exist on the show, that's one less thing for the writers to mess up. They can exist in our heads and everything works out!

I imagine they would have a little girl called Zoe. It is Greek but still common. It is also one of my favorite names and the name of my first doll so I might be biased. Maybe they would have a boy called Theodore (Theo). I have always told myself upstead and I would have similar taste in names lol.

Kids definitely seem like something that will only exist in fanon. It's so fun to see what people think Jay and Hailey would name a baby. Zoe and Theo are cute! I have always thought they'd stay simple and classic. Basically anything on the current top ten name list- Olivia/Emma/Ava/Sophia/Mia or Liam/Noah/Oliver/Lucas- would also be fully believable to me.

My current favorite names are Lucy, Avery, or Eden for a girl and Ellis or William (ha!) for a boy. I'm not sure they'd jive with some of mine too easily.

Also- props on having an actual, respectable name for your first doll! Mine was Blue Baby. It wasn't even trendy or unique like Beyonce's Blue. It was Blue Baby, her full and given name.

Gangs of New York is such a sprawling, unfocused movie that I can almost imagine the filmmakers throwing up their hands and sighing, "Well, at least we've got Daniel." Because Daniel Day-Lewis's performance as Bill "The Butcher" Cutting holds the film together whenever it tends to sink into the banality of its revenge plot or to wander off into the eddies of New York City history. A historical drama like Gangs of New York needs two things: a compelling central story and an audience that knows something about the history on which it's based. But for all their violence and their anticipation of problems that continue to manifest themselves in the United States, the Draft Riots of 1863 and the almost two decades of gang wars that led up to them are mostly textbook footnotes to most Americans. Director Martin Scorsese's determination to depict them led to the hiring of a formidable team of screenwriters -- Jay Cocks, who wrote the story, and Steven Zaillian and Kenneth Lonergan, who collaborated with Cocks on the screenplay. Unfortunately, the narrative thread that they came up with is tired. As a boy, Amsterdam Vallon saw his father, an Irish Catholic nicknamed "Priest" (Liam Neeson), cut down by Bill the Butcher in a huge battle between the Irish immigrant gang, the Dead Rabbits, and Bill's Protestant gang, the Natives. Sixteen years later Vallon (Leonardo DiCaprio) returns to the Five Points neighborhood determined to get revenge on Bill, who has managed to make peace with many of the old members of Vallon's father's gang and to become a power-player aligned with Tammany Hall and Boss Tweed (Jim Broadbent). Vallon is introduced to Bill's criminal enterprise by an old boyhood friend, Johnny (Henry Thomas), and he begins to fall under Bill's spell -- along with that of a pretty pickpocket, Jenny Everdeane (Cameron Diaz). But the relationship between Vallon and Jenny stirs the jealousy of Johnny, who is smitten with her, and he reveals to Bill that Vallon is the son of his old enemy, leading to a climactic showdown -- one that just happens to occur simultaneously with the Draft Riots. There's a lot of good stuff in Gangs of New York, including Michael Ballhaus's cinematography and Dante Ferretti's production design -- the sets were constructed at Cinecittà Studios in Rome. But the awkward attempt to merge the romantic revenge plot with the historical background shifts the focus away from what the film is supposedly about: racism, anti-immigrant nativism, political corruption, and exploitation of the poor. "You can always hire one half of the poor to kill the other half," Tweed says. Oddly (and sadly), Gangs of New York seems more relevant today than it did in 2002, when the country was recovering from the 9/11 attacks. Then, the Oscar-nominated anthem by U2,  "The Hands That Built America," which concludes the film seemed to promise a spirit of unity, an affirmation that the country had overcome the antagonisms depicted in the movie. Today it has a far more ironic effect.

I agree about the sbas thing too. He’s alluded to too much darkness and pain in his songs. In TOU, he said he wished he had been taken instead. He wants to find a way to feel alive in his songs a lot too and a lot of people have apparently wanted him to change. I also don’t think he would necessarily admit that publicly to the general public. When Liam expressed having tw: suicidal thoughts, look at how he was treated. I think Louis is very much distancing himself from his difficulties. I don’t know how much he would or could openly talk about but he is definitely trying to appear less emotionally heavy in interviews and everything, maybe because of how his pain and trauma have been treated as fodder in the past, a way to say he is being too emotional or unreasonable, like when those interviewers kept asking him about Jay’s death after he asked them to stop. Louis’ lyrics are hopeful but they’re hopeful after great pain. Louis writes about pain beautifully and getting through it but the pain has clearly still been deeply felt. Louis is an emotional person and I feel like that has been used against him in the past. In the end, we as fans don’t have the right to anything in Louis’ personal life. I wish Louis hadn’t been asked about sbas. He released that only to the fans for a reason.

Yeah - Louis refusing to talk about the songs and saying that they’re partly imaginative could be to protect himself too. His songs are deeply vulnerable and he’s always said he doesn’t like being pitied so this is a way for him to say things he wants to say, and no one can know what’s real and what’s made up. So there will be less emphasis on connecting all the painful details to his life.

And agreed. SBAS shouldn’t have been brought up.

Saturdays take the pain away (some things change)

So here I am. Standing barricade at a Louis Tomlinson concert. I nearly camped two days with my best friend in front of the venue to live this moment. I wondered if he would recognize me as his best friend from over ten years ago. Sure, we must have changed, both. But I still adored him and could listen to his voice all day.

And then the lights went out and we all screamed his name. Louis came jumping on stage, giving everything, he had. After "The Greatest" our eyes locked and I was transported to the past, when we saw each other for the first time at the line for the X Factor audition. A quiet `Oh my fooking god` echoed through the arena.

It wasn’t Harry meeting with Stringer that put the final nail in the coffin for me. It was Harry being London going about his business like normal. He went to a Museum the day before Fizzy died, was at Abbey Road Studios on the day she died, was papped out and about on the day after, and on the day her death was announced he was setting up that ridiculous Liam Gallagher fish stunt. I just don’t think he knew and it was the same when Jay died. He was papped shopping. He just didn’t know.

For me this is getting into 'why would Louis respond to being closeted and his partner winning a grammy differently to how I imagine I would?' territory.

Neither walking the street and having your photo taken nor buying fish is incompatible with supporting your grieving partner. For me that's the only question - does what we see leave space for them to be supporting each other. If you look at it differently that's fine.
