Improving My University's Library. One Book at a Time.
One of the things that keep me sane motivated at work are beloved lil memes that I pin to my office wall. Sometimes, however, I end up with double print-outs, or I need to exchange old memes are with newer, even more beloved ones.
But I can't just throw the old ones away.
So I give them a new home.
At my university's library.
Let me show you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This meme from @carpethedamndiemdejavu now lives next to its original inspiration in a Dylan Thomas compendium.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This perfect observation shared by @drexelian now greats readers of a chess guidebook at exactly the right chapter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This gorgeous illustration by @secondlina of "The Tiger" by Nael (6) was a bit of work, as my fav library doesn't have an edition of "They're Singing A Song In Their Rocket". They do have, however, that other famous Tyger poem.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This perfect remake of my favourite Percy Shelley poem, made by @theswordwizard, came out a bit too small on my first try to print it. It is, however the perfect size for a bookmark.
So, should you happen to visit University of Leipzig's Bibliotheca Albertina, feel free to look these up.
Or, even better, join my little hobby. Or just let me know what you would add.

This is your reminder to
Support your library
Things that might be at your local library:
The book that's currently on back order in stores.
A DVD not on your streaming service.
Music CDs (no ads.)
Access to on-demand ebooks and audiobooks (and maybe movies and music.)
All for the low, low price of
Already paid for by your taxes
People using stuff= justifying keeping that stuff and buying new stuff. Stuff at libraries= people being able to use that stuff without paying out the nose. People being able to use stuff for free= equitable access regardless of socioeconomic status.
Borrow not shop. Or borrow THEN shop. Keep our libraries stocked.

teru and ritsu are friends in a lot of way but the one i've thinking about lately is how they're both mob-ologists? they both strive to get A+ in mob (spmething both normal to want and possible to achieve) they have mob study sessions where they discuss the creature that he is and write down notes for their ypcoming mob test on saturday (<-they are just going shopping together)
A GOOD GRADE IN MOB LSJDFKLDJF
all respect to teru but he absolutely cannot compete with ritsu in this respect. ritsu has known mob his whole life and lives with him. he is the premier expert in mob studies. if teru wants to get a good grade in mob, he's gonna need to get tutored by ritsu

It's the Wanderers Library. Time is screwy and you can find knowledge on everything. Some don't even realize they're using blood magic. They don't make the connection.
- Navigator @white-rabbits-captain
Ah. The Library. I should have made that connection earlier. The scholars are quite kind to me. Perhaps I can help them learn more about the taboo magic
