hey, do you still play sims 4? Loved your pictures!

I'm glad you enjoyed my sims 4 pics but I haven't played the game since a looooong time and I have no plans to come back to it again.

Now I'm probably going to rant a bit about why I quit it but basically, before this blog was even in my plans I had a ts4 one and I noticed having the simblr affected the way I play the game A LOT. I wasn't happy with the state of it to begin with but it matched my sense of aesthetic so I was trying to enjoy the gameplay anyways. Unfortunately the more I was on simblr the more I cared about said aesthetic and gradually I started treating the game as a dress up & makeover simulator, not a life sim (it's a standard 'make a sim, realize they need a house so make a house, take gazilion pics to post, spend hours editing them and be proud of myself then never play with the sim again'). I aknowledge a lot of it was happening in my head, there are tons of people who enjoy lifemode aspect of ts4 and not only checking cc in it but I guess it simply wasn't for me to begin with (I'm also not saying 'just making sims' or 'just building houses' doesn't count as playing the game). I didn't get that joy of it back, the gameplay became empty and meaningless, what mattered was only what I post on a stupid blog online. I'm much more happier playing ts3. Sure taking pretty screenshots still matter in a way but it doesn't stop my enjoyment.

Did a little bit of shitposting of a meme that I was late coming to but I wanted to try out LifeMod and play around with it a bit so I created two with different LifeMod settings and the results are neat.

Also, someone FINALLY created a proper Angel Dust in Source/GMod the other day then that cursed version of him that's been on the Workshop since Hazbin Hotel got popular when the pilot dropped.

Palm phone - ideal phone for every runner

During the weekend, after a long recovery, I was run. It was also the first time I was running with Palm Phone, and I must say that it was great for several reasons.

To keep Palm from slipping while taking it into a sweaty hand, I used the ultra-resistant case from Supcase - Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. Even with this cover, Palm doesn't have more than 92g, and I didn't have to worry if my phone breaks if I dropped it out of my hand.

Because of the size of Palm, it was also the first time my phone came into my run pants pocket while my pants weren't pulled down.

Also, the pockets on running clothes are tiny, but Palm phone has entered without problem into such a micro pocket.

Besides, with #LifeMode enabled, I could enjoy running without being disturbed, because when the phone's display is off, it means I don't want to make a phone call, but just run.

In short, Palm phone is the ideal phone for a runner who wants to carry a phone with him for all cases but doesn't want to drag the tablet...d8-D

What it has done for me personally is I’ve gone in and gutted the number of notifications, because I asked myself: ‘Do I really need to be getting thousands of notifications a day?’ It’s not something that is adding value to my life, or is making me a better person. What a sight to wake up to! But the grim reaper hadn’t come for Damian, but for the lone figure that was desperately flailing in the pool behind the child’s room. It was hard to tell whether the man drown first or freeze to death.

It was Jim Reed, Gavin’s father.

The elder lived next door and had somehow wandered onto the lot and into the pool.

My bad. Jim had visited earlier and I thought he had left. Ricky’s tent obscures part of the pool in lifemode.

Coco: “See, that’s what happens if people walk around aimlessly, because a whim tells them so. It can happen all the time, to everyone... Makes one think, huh?”

For once Daniel kept himself in check, remembering what his cop friends had told him: Don’t let them goad you into talking, let the other party reveal their cards first.

Coco: “Your child’s party getting canceled, your father in law dying and your husband getting accused of using his powers for nefarious purposes... Nancy and Geoffrey Landgraab could help fellow vampires. You know that we don’t have to be enemies, do you?”

And with these words Cocochimetl turned into a black mist and vanished into the night, leaving Daniel to ponder the question why humans (including those turned vampire) were under the impression that people would willingly join their cause if they killed their loved ones. Wouldn’t giving the potential recruit something they really desired be the better approach?

Status: Extinct

Time and Place: 17 to 14 million years ago, in the Burdigalian to Langhian ages of the Miocene 

Meganhinga is known from the Malla-Mall Member of the Cura-Mallín Formation 

Physical Description: Meganhinga was, in a lot of ways, essentially just a scaled-up version of the birds we know today as Darters - it had a long body, with a very long neck, small head, and long pointy beak. This was similar in every way to living Darters. It was quite long for a darter, about a meter long, which is about as big as they get today (but usually living Darters are much smaller). But, notably for Darters, it had quite small wings indeed. This means that Meganhinga was, above all, a flightless bird.

Diet: Meganhinga probably fed on fish and other vertebrates, like its living relatives; its uncertain if it was able to dive as well as its living relatives, so its possible it relied more on land life than its living relatives.

Behavior: Meganhinga, being flightless, probably would have spent more of its time on land grabbing food than living relatives. Still, despite this, it would have spent much of its time by the shoreline, diving into the water and searching for food. Its long neck could be darted out to grab food, including fish, as it would stand on the shoreline. It would probably breed in colonies, and it seems most likely that they would have been somewhat monogamous in breeding habits like living Darters.

Ecosystem: Meganhinga lived in a lake and river basin near the coast, filled with plenty of aquatic places for Meganhinga to find food. This freshwater basin was created by extensive volcanic activity, which would have decided affected the ecology and creatures living there. Many different kinds of animals resided here with Meganhinga, though most were mammals; creatures such as Toxodonts, Astrapotherium, marsupials like Polydolops, the fascinating Mylodontid sloth Nematherium, a glyptodont, Protypotherium, a wide variety of rodents, and other creatures all populated the valley. Despite this, there doesn’t really seem to be another bird from this formation known at this time.

Other: Meganhinga is quite distinctive for being, possibly, the oldest known species of Darter, which makes the fact that it is quite weird compared to living darters very noticeable. In fact, a variety of large, flightless Darters from the Miocene have been found - Meganhinga, Macranhinga, and Giganhinga - all from the are of Chile in the Miocene. This indicates flightlessness was a major lifemode for Darters prior to modern times. Interestingly enough, some phylogenies indicate modern darters evolved from these forms, meaning that these flightless birds re-evolved flying ability in response to environmental factors.
