“Sure, if you can find one you like,” Qiuyun answered, squatting just a few feet away across the patch, a ring of fruits surrounding their feet.

“Can I make it actually breathe fire?”

Qiuyun stood up at this and shot the dragon a curious side glance. “I dunno how you would do that, but I guess if you really wanted, you could put a candle in it to make it look like that.”

“Orrr… I could make it breathe actual fire.” Crystal twirled her silver and orange hair through her fingers thoughtfully. She stopped at her friend’s gentle glare. “I could… also just use light magic for the illusion of fire,” she resigned.

Qiuyun just shook their head. “Let’s find a good pumpkin first,” they replied, scanning around them one last time, before—

“Oh, speaking of!”

Crystal’s ears perked at the excitement in her friend’s voice. She darted lightly over to where Qiuyun knelt, next to a couple of rather large pumpkins.

“How’s this one?” the Magia patted the smaller of the two pumpkins. “It’s very round and smooth, it looks the nicest of any I’ve seen in this patch.”

“I like it!” Crystal’s rainbow eyes glittered at the fruit. The dragon’s attention then shifted to the giant pumpkin next to them. She smoothed herself out, coughed quietly, then sat carefully on the giant pumpkin.

“Then, for this big beauty, I’ve changed my mind. I think we should make it into my throne.”

Lahan introduces Maomao to his roommate (who is popular enough that everyone but Maomao knows of becuase Maomao thinks chemistry is much more attractive than some mortal man).

SPOILERS: I feel like Zuigetsu would be his real name, but I think he would do some sort of modelling/ acting job on the side with the name "Jinshi", so everyone calls him that. But neither Maomao nor Lahan really look at media much since they both don't really know how to use tech, so the siblings know him as Ka Zuigetsu.

Jinshi might be doing some sort of economics/ finance/ stats degree, but I can also see him being a history or social sciences student of sorts. The poor humanities student just getting dragged into the business of the stem siblings.

Of course, Lahan is obsessed with Jinshi's looks (and may or may not be actively pushing his sister and his roommate to get closer).

What would Machete think of winter ? Would he dislike snow ? I wonder.

I see him staying inside warming up while watching the snow fall, not really liking going outside. Idk.

He wouldn't deal well with winter. I don't think Vasco would be a fan either, they're both short coated dogs that are used to the comparatively warm Mediterranean climate.

I guess there would be an element of novelty to it at first, and maybe even Machete would find the snowy lanscapes pretty. But he's already having issues with thermoregulation in the canon setting (mostly due to anemia and low body weight. He tends to have cold hands and feet), adding in freezing weather would drain all life out of him very fast. He'd be taking even more hot baths than usual and spending as much time as possible near fireplaces.
