New Book Review on my Tarot Blog for Tarot for Light Seers: A Journey Through the Symbols, Messages, & Secrets of the Cards by Chris-Anne Donnelly (published by Hay House).

If you LOVE the Light Seers Tarot as much as I do, this expanded guidebook is a MUST with full-sized brightly colored images of each of the cards, more in-depth messages to peak behind the creation process to understand exactly what she envisioned for each image and what she wanted to convey with her artistic expression, and new spreads for each of the 22 major arcana cards. She also includes prompts with each card description to help us ask more questions about the themes covered in each card to deepen our card pulls. This greatly adds to the experience of reading with her greatest creation.

I fully appreciated the behind the scenes look at the creation of the deck and the personal stories shared by Chris-Anne since I am such a big fan of hers and her creations.

Let me introduce you to the Wavelength Lightseers of Common Ground!

This is as original as it's gonna get.

In the first part, I explained how the chessboard works a certain way only some characters can observe it. The light that the chessboard and all of the technology in the control room gives off is somewhere below the range 400 nm¹, which means they're high frequency/short wavelengths.

(Visible light spans are usually defined as having wavelengths in the range of 400–700 nm.)

However, DreamXD's & Dream's masks slow those wavelengths down so they're able to see the light in the control room perfectly fine. Which makes them both the only one's on the map being able to use the console at all.

Lightseers tarot:

Main character feels stuck at home (hanged man) and goes to seek their fortune (Knight of pentacles). On the journey (6 of swords, transitions, rite of passage), they face a life and death challenge (Death card for plot middle, the Wheel for conflict) perhaps violence or illness. The resolution (6 of wands, victory) and plot ending (judgment) see them settled in a new prosperous life that has rejected some of the underpinnings of their old life.

Eg Dream, stuck in his duty, goes for a walk with literal Death and sees the Wheel of Life at work. He gives up a bit of his pride and goes to meet Hob as a friend.

Eg. Rose is finally done watching her mother die and heads out to find Jed. Unity dies in her place and the Wheel of life continues with the new generation as Rose and Jed settle in together in a life that is utterly different than anything he has experienced before.

Creative Writing Tarot Spread

Writers block bogging you down? Use this 7-card spread to help jumpstart your creativity! This prompt can help you generate a very basic storyline.

First, pull a character card! Decide for yourself what this means: will your character carry the traits of the positive meanings of this card? Will your character’s conflicts be brought about by the card’s negative meanings? Will your character look like the figure depicted on the card? Will they wield the item depicted on the card? (Note: if your story has multiple main characters, you may wish to pull a card for each)

Next, pull the plot cards! Pull a card for the beginning of your story, a card for the middle, and a card for the end. Again, let yourself decide what this means. Do these cards describe your character’s emotional state(s) as the story progresses? Do these cards describe internal or external conflicts? Do these cards represent other characters your MC will meet along the way?

Finally, pull your meat cards! These cards are the “meat” of your story. Pull one card for the main or most important setting of your story, one card for the main conflict, and one card for the resolution of that conflict.

Have fun with it! Remember that these cards are just tools, and this spread is simply to kickstart your brain.
