Ingarö by Arrhov Frick

From the beginning of the design process, the site conditions significantly informed the building's principles and formal expression. The plot itself is relatively steep and difficult to accommodate outdoor areas; therefore an integrated terrace was created to form a liveable outdoor space. The open air terrace is the same form and area as the enclosed house — two equal parts meeting each other to create a central garden.

To emphasise the continuity between outdoor and indoor, the timber structure is visible throughout. Sitting perched on the slope — the rear of the house rests close to the ground while the living room and terrace project toward the water. To avoid blasting onsite, the house stands on a grid of wooden posts. Both the post and the wood panelled facade are treated with a carbon black pigment, giving a darker tint while retaining the wood's lustre and character.

Hi guys! I need some advice.

I stopped doing tarot a little back, late 2022. I do intuitive and shufflemancy readings.This is not only because i lost interest, but also because of some issues. Today, I took out my tarot decks after a while, and i want to ask some advice.

SO basically i stopped doing tarot because my best friend and I stopped talking, and a major part of our friendship was tarot. He used to force me into doing readings a lot and then pretended that he had some sort of connection to my tarot deck and that the tarot deck hated me or something according to whatever he wanted to make me believe and basically, he was a horrible person(not only because of this) and now everytime I do tarot It reminds me of him, and it makes me want to cry cuz i genuinely hate him for the things he did. Is there any non money taking way to get rid of someone else's energy from tarot decks?

Decks and understanding Tarot

Yesterday's card of the day was from a generic student or learner deck. Sometimes called a beginners deck. These can be useful as they have the keywords, symbols, and divination on them. Not all have imagery of the card on them to help you put everything together and understand the card a bit better.

Tarot is about intuition and not simply memorizing the deck and what each card means. That's why you can go to different Tarot readers and get different outcomes. The meaning of the card changes with that of the energy from the querant.

So strength for me yesterday, with a migraine off the charts and motor skills iffy, I needed both mental and physical strengths to get through my day and accomplish at least some of what I wanted too.

Strength, looking at the lady fearlessly looking into the lions mouth, also means courage. It didn't take any courage to organize the show rack by the front door or to shift some things to the garage. I guess it would have been needed to face the kettle bell yesterday and exercise even though I was in pain.

It depends on your own definition of strength and courage. Are they linked? Separate? Could the tail between the lions legs mean to conquer? Your fears maybe? Something painful you'd pushed away and tried to forget about instead of dealing with it?

So, even though the card is titled "Strength" it means more than just physical power.

What do the other symbols: White robe, wreath on her head, roses running down the front of her, Infinity symbol, and the lion itself to name a few. Could these add more meaning to a reading or understanding of the card no matter where it's found in a spread?

Yes, memorizing the keywords and divination meaning of each card will help but you need to not let it rule your understanding of the cards.

Lower Decks Lower Decks!

Last March, I sent @tewz a box of cassettes I took back from the radio station after donating them from my personal collection. She, a music collector, was amazed and never received anything like it. We’ve been trading our favorite sounds, artists, and playlists since then because we’re completely obsessed with music. No one else I know ever comes close. Only last month for her Leo-cakeday did I send her a card with money in it as a good, thoughtful gesture for all she’s done.

Well, guess what? I received my Virgo-cakeday package from her. She didn’t have to (and I pleaded with her not to), but did. I opened up her package not knowing what to expect, and my industrial factory came to a screeching halt. Inside a purple and blue plastic case, I found two bandannas (one camouflage and bright orange) a few stickers, one milk cap, her copy of LCD Soundsystem’s American Dream, a Pharcyde “Passin’ Me By” cassingle, three decks of playing cards (Death Cigarettes, one with no carton, and a miniature Las Vegas deck), a couple of badges, and a personalized envelope containing a cakeday card in scriptive plus two industrial / EBM / synthwave playlists written on color palette cards in various shades of purple. It’s like ordering from Ron Lessard’s RRRecords and finding all the freebies you get with all your recycled tapes and noise CDs, but this…

I was such at a loss for words that it took me 30 minutes to fully absorb it all. The amount of thought and work she put into personalizing this is far beyond words. She gets it. She sees value in me and does things in a way no one else does. And, what she does for me is way more than how much others have where I'm from on my cakeday, holiday, or any other day for that matter. That’s zero.
