Some of you are expecting show Percy to act like the Last Olympian Percy or Son of Neptune Percy. "why can't he use his powers?" He's hasn't them learned yet. "Why aren't their epic battle scenes?" He has no training. "Why is he so under powered" he's not at that level yet! Percy in the show didn't have a Luke training montage, he doesn't really know how to properly use a sword. He spent like what a week or so at camp? What do you want him to be OP right out of the gate?The second he knows he's has water powers to master them? You need to wait, he needs to progress and get more confidence. Then he'll get better and be able to fight and use his powers.

Yagami reached for Kitakata’s arm, found his hand, and guided it to his hip. Yagami pulled away from the kiss.

“Touch me, would you?”

Kitakata’s breath was warm on his lips. “Where would you like it?”

“Figure it out yourself.” He said and kissed him again. Kitakata didn’t seem to complain. His fingers slipped under the hem of Yagami’s shirt, meeting skin. He touched along the base of his spine, and Yagami couldn’t suppress the slight shiver that went through him. He could only imagine how gratifying this was for Kitakata. Hell, just seeing Yagami checking him out probably made his whole week, now this. He’d never be able to stop him from flirting now.

Yagami leaned into Kitakata’s hold, into his mouth, against that eager tongue. He was about to make Kitakata’s whole damn year.

hmmm it's about my personal level of interest in Joan which is not very high even though I generally like her and she has many incredible moments. But I feel really disconnected from the general fervor surrounding her both on here and tbh society-wide and I'm kind of cynical in thinking that's coming from a place of uhhhh people not actually appreciating her for her strength of character if you know what I mean. The next time I rewatch intentionally I'd like to focus more on her so I could hopefully make more posts that lead to a more humanized and not so girlboss-y conversation around her because as it is idk the way the notes of my posts about her read is just off to me compared to every other character. I don't think it's wrong of me or anyone to just say "I don't connect with this character as much as the others" which is how I would generally characterize my feelings towards her but I also think there's a lot there I haven't leaned into just because I don't really get anything from the typical discussions around her because they're kind of hollow to me so I would say that's both an indictment of me not trying the way I do with other characters and the culture kind of sucking. badly.

Steve holds hands for wip Wednesday 💜

thank you so much <3 sorry this is so late, I got stuck on all my writing but it is actually Wednesday today so better timing right (right?)

Steve hums in agreement, "but hey, at least we can keep each other company.” Eddie can’t help himself. He never can but especially not around Steve, he’s like a goddamn siren, or catnip. So he smirks, slants a look at him and in a voice that comes out deeper and raspier than he meant asks, “oh yeah? And what kind of company would that be?” But then, because this is Steve he backtracks, diffuses, “I could tell you about the new campaign I’m planning. I’m thinking no monsters, no fighting. Just a good happy time for everyone.” Steve peers up at him, that frown back between his eyebrows but now there’s also a glint in his eyes. One Eddie has only seen flashes off before, not now though, now it stays. Steve looks at him with interest, with determination. “You keep doing that.”  He looks between Eddie’s eyes, searching and keeping him pinned on the spot.  “You keep saying all these things filled with intent and meaning.” Eddie swallows, can’t look away. “But then nothing happens, you just switch topics, pretend like nothing. Gives me whiplash man” “I- um,” he stammers, tries to find something to say, and finally lands on, “Sorry?” Steve sits up on his elbows, still not breaking eye contact, “I just wonder why you do it?” Because you’re Steve Harrington. Because not only are you hot but so pretty that I don’t actually understand it. Because you’re so fucking kind, so caring, so good, that I can’t help but flirt even though I shouldn’t. Eddie shrugs, “dunno.”
