imagine buck wakes up after a bad dream thinking he's late for something and jumping out of bed. he starts running around the apartment, just in his boxers, and starts packing a bag. picking up random things, turning on the tap to get himself water but completely forgetting to grab a glass so he's just running back and forth, and he can't quite figure out what he's tryna do yet. in his hazy not-quite-awake mind he's absolutely sure he's late for something. or that something bad is about to happen. and he's freaking out a bit. a lot.

and then there's tommy, carefully walking into his personal bubble, also only in boxers because they like feeling as close as they can when they sleep, and he's tryna get his attention. "evan, hey, evan, it's okay. it's okay, you're okay. you're safe. you're okay." and buck pauses and looks at him with wide eyes and shaky hands and tommy ever so gently pulls him in for a hug and buck just melts. slots so perfectly against him that he's sure he and tommy were made from the same mould. their bare chests pressed together, their strong arms holding onto each other so tightly, and they're so close they're practically one. and buck - evan - finally calms down. he's okay. because he's with tommy. he's okay. he's safe. he's okay.
