Sure there were the atrocity tourists like myself who clicked on that first video to document it or to fish for an approved comment so they could edit it to say PEDOGROOMER. And of course everyone else who wasn't that discerning but just came to see the audacity of this bitch for themselves. It was associated with a top ranked post on Reddit, people were tweeting, it was a whole thing.

But now that sick sick honeymoon is over, and Sjin is now facing the reality that none of his fans are able to talk to one another without being trolled. Coming onto the internet and announcing yourself as a fan of Sjin means even the gutter trash from SomethingAwful gets to kick your ass. At least if you were a fan of DarkSydePhil people would pity you, Sjin fans go on the internet like deer during harvest season.

And for Sjin, he's not homeless. I doubt he's in financial straits yet considering how much he was probably putting away prior to his ejection from the Yogscast. If he needed one, he could always get a roommate, and he wouldn't even need to share a bathroom in his (crappy, imo, but probably lavish by Bristol standards) condo.

Victor’s channel is kind of comparable to Junskitchen, a rather relaxed, casual atmosphere combined with exquisite, refined cuisine

if he feels like it, he does a voice-over, otherwise he just puts calm jazz, blues or r&b over his cooking

HAS done an ASMR special. low-key dislikes the video because he has to whisper voice-overs but people LOVE it

likes making all kinds of foods, but his channel features quite a lot of sweet foods and desserts because a certain dummy has a sweet tooth

a pretty popular feature during quarantine is Cooking w/ Sou, essentially a live stream where Sou (aka Victor) cooks a whole three-course meal while talking to and instructing his followers

Lucien’s channel LucidLight is a tad bit all over the place

he’s a man of many talents, and his channel reflects just that

i’m not saying it’s a disorganized channel, because the theme is very much there - the uniform theme in Luci’s content is a cozy background, a cup of tea and a soothing thumbnail

i mean that content-wise, his subscribers don’t really know what they’re going to get next...he has a slightly similar style to the YouTuber simon plant 

his content varies from interesting science theories to poetry reading sessions to ASMR to painting/sketching to cooking and much, much more

he has an heavenly soothing, smooth voice. it’s his trademark since Lucien doesn’t show his face on camera. ever. 

doesn’t have a TON of subs, because his channel is a bit of a niche thing, but I’d say he has 1,2 million subscribers and 400k followers on his added ‘business’ Instagram

he holds a lot of live streams on Instagram/YouTube (i know Moments exists in the game, but that’s more like a Facebook or Twitter kind of app...) and is always shown with just his torso and neck in frame. the lives usually include some poetry reading and generally just having a nice, relaxing chat with his followers. they can last up to 5 hours at once, and YOU know it’s because he doesn’t need sleep like a normal human being, but his fans are still asking questions about his timezone

his subscribers are strangely fascinated by his mysterious, gentle nature and also incredibly obsessed with his large, elegant hands

his ASMR videos are often roleplays of Librarian Lucien or Professor Lucien explaining to people why their rest is important

other times, they include soft affirmations, positive whispers, finger fluttering, hair touching and maybe kissing sounds...

Lucien paints a lot too, although he works primarily with ink and pencil sketches. you’ll find a watercolour or oil painting somewhere, but they’re not his most prominent media

it’s relatively obvious from the start that Gavin from Birds&Cops is in a relationship, since you guys have a vlogging-style channel

your channel is filled with gym vlogs, travel vlogs to other countries and a lot of self-defence and sport at home videos. 

you guys also post a lot of funny vlogs talking about your day, going on fun dates, of course food vlogs in restaurants, all that stuff...

you often sit down and talk about your life, and maybe you’ll even do a mukbang during it for someone so fit, Gavin does eat a lot of food.

Kiro has about 18 million subscribers, which is A LOT, but he’s been on YouTube for 7 years and he’s made a name for himself as a super likeable and bubbly guy with an angelic voice and killer moves

you’d think he’s just a cute boy when he sings acoustic covers, but his dance moves suggest that he’s not THAT cute

also how does he stay so fit with all those snack mukbangs?

so pretty much over the course of a month, y/n’s yt channel (where she posts exclusively videos of her and peter doing unsolved stuff) raked in more than a million subs

they film videos mockumentary-style because of course they do (they’re huge fans of the office)

peter also made a channel of his own, mostly to post aesthetic vlogs and interact with the fans from y/n’s channel

pretty soon, people were leaving comments/tweeting at y/n and peter, asking them to visit haunted locations

which poses a few problems: a) y/n as not allowed traveling by herself because being a stark meant being a high profile target who is still a child. like tony would literally die before he let his daughter travel by herself without protection; b) peter and y/n are too scared to go to locations by themselves.  y/n is insistent that these places are actually haunted so she thinks they need to have someone to protect them because they’re literal children. that someone can’t be peter because he needs to protect his identity. the fact that peter can’t protect y/n and himself makes him nervous too.

their compromise? a chaperone flies the quinjet to their haunted location and joins them on ghost hunts. the chaperone being an avenger.

and depending on who brings them on their trip, the vibe of the video is VERY DIFFERENT

tony is a boogara mostly because he’s seen too much shit to be a skeptic tbh

when he’s in videos, they usually get the most views because HELLO the man is basically elon musk but a superhero

he has very nonchalant energy in videos and makes asides that are hilarious

when steve chaperones trips, he doesn’t really understand what y/n and peter are doing but as the designated beefy but responsible uncle, he brings his shield anyways.

that doesn’t mean he’s really scared of them though

he usually enters buildings first, letting y/n or peter carry his shield

episodes with steve usually end up becoming really iconic gif sets

by far the most chaotic episodes are with sam and bucky

those two have become a package deal because if either tony or steve are unavailable, y/n and peter ask either bucky or sam. but no matter who they ask, the other asks if they can come too

and because steve and tony are usually busy, bucky and sam are the most common guests

they even updated their social media bios because they go ghost hunting so much.

bucky is shaniac because he just thinks ghosts aren’t real. plain and simple.

sam is a boogara when it comes to literally any other conspiracy theory, but a shaniac when it comes to ghosts.

but when they’re together, they collectively share one brain cell so they both get scared really easily even if they don’t believe in ghosts

whenever it’s an episode about a haunted building with sam, y/n and peter don't even bother editing out all the swears because there are so many so what’s even the point.

his pre and post exploration interviews are also always really funny because he is usually drinking out of a flask saying “if i die, there’s no way a ghost is going to kill me fucking sober”

bucky is generally non-vocal but makes the funniest facial reactions because he gets startled by sam’s screaming

sam overreacting because of something like the wind + bucky’s face of pure shock at his sudden outburst = perfect content fo the slow zoom in

despite sam and bucky always saying they hate ghost hunting on camera, they secretly love it and love spending time with y/n and peter

WOOSAN FANSERVICE

what is real and what is not real? now, a lot of people think woosan is fanservice because how obvious and in your face the are. while i do think they do give very obvious fanservice, i believe with my whole heart that their relationship is very genuine. 

now let’s discuss fanservice, while i do think every company advises their groups to give fanservice and it’s literally ingrained in their minds(kpop idols) on how to give fanservice. whether it’s sexy dancing, acting cute, or passing along a sheet of paper to a member with your mouth, san constantly exposing his sarms.. these are all clear indications of fanservice. i want to be clear, fanservice in my opinion is always obvious. company’s do not emotionally invest in shipping the way you think they do. because why would they invest on giving obvious hints that their idols are dating? especially in a place like korea? their careers would literally be over. it would literally affect everyone in the group, including them and it would not just ruin the group, but any career path they decide to go in in korea. 

so, i’m gonna show you guys the difference between fanservice and genuine reactions when it comes to woosan. 

let’s talk about fanservice.

let’s talk about this whole ass VCR that KQ put together for woosan, it’s clearly fanservice, but i thought it was interesting the way they filmed it. the way this was filmed was like, they’re each others others other half. which we know they often say this a lot. so my question is the company capitalizing on their relationship or are they supporting? could be both? now, i know it sounds crazy as the most important thing for every company is to make money. even though this does not exclude KQ, i’ve noticed that ateez has a lot more freedom than other kpop artist. they let them eat as much as they want, they spoil them with presents all the time which is proven with their vlogs. they give their idols freedom to speak on things, like hongjoong really says what he wants. especially when he wants to give atiny a reality check. lol. they also give them creative freedom, allowing hongjoong to speak on such a heated topic like race during his black and white cover is really something. but are they still a company whose best interest is to make money? yes. let’s talk about some other moments during the tour.

these moments were all during the tour, the woosan umbrellas, the hand holding the making hearts with each other and even the most obvious one of all which is the one where they had to promote the hats for the tour and KQ picked woosan to do it. ya’know, very cute, but also clearly fanservice. lol. though, there’s an interesting moment, which i don’t think is fanservice, and that moment was during the time woo hugged seonghwa and jongho was like san’s gonna get jealous, and san was like no no, even tho he looked so jelly(you can find a lot of these moments on the yt channel skzo planet, credit to them, they’re great.)  let’s continue. let’s talk about the asmr/lie detector video on yt. which i consider less obvious fanservice because people tend to think these moments are not planned. i know why am i taking the best moments awayyyyyyy. ;c

it’s clear that KQ understands that woosan is the most popular ship, because they have them go on these programs together which highlights their chemistry and interactions together. i think a lot of these moments here are fanservice but i also think they’re genuine. like their moment afterward where they have a deep conversation about their feelings. while i do think the company sets these up to capitalize off their relationship, i don’t think it’s to the point where they give them a script to read and say, “hey, memorize this script” no no. lmfao. if there’s one thing the company’s understand completely is that fans want real human beings. not robots. which is why vlive exist. it’s also one of the reasons kpop is preferred from western pop. they understand that fans love real people and genuine reactions between their fans. so you have to remember that. i think they just seized an opportunity to capitalize off their ship or support, who knows? they seem very grateful towards their company.

here’s the lie detector one, obviously, the company sets these up. which i think is ultimately a fanservicey move. but again, i don’t think the company gives them any script to read these are just their genuine feelings. in which san said woo is his other half and that he would literally give his kidney away for him. the company sets these circumstances up, but they do this to highlight their relationship. the company has them do many things together, but i honestly do not think they force them to pretend to act like bestfriends. i mean that’s just outrageous. lol. 

yup, i have to go there, yes, i’m going to take away everything you’ve ever loved away from you, because this is obvious fanservice. the stares, the sexy sexy dancing tHE STARES. listen, these people are well-trained professionals, never forget that. they know what fans want. while i do think this dance is probably the most common of fanservice for woosan stans i don’t think the reactions are fanservice. there’s just some moments where woo gets really shy and flustered. because i do think san makes him genuinely shy because this boy can be very tense and reek of pure devilish and demonic behavior. woo is someone who has a very commanding presence and demanding personality, and he seems fearless and shameless at times, but there are plenty of moments of san making woo completely flustered and nervous with a simple look. which i think is genuine since discomfort is very noticeable because it’s almost always an immediate reaction to something.

now let’s talk about genuine interactions (a lot of these were probably mentioned in my woosan relationship analysis).

let’s talk about their relationship in general, outside the cameras, that already ultimately prove that their relationship isn’t fanservice. now something that we learned a while back during the christmas vlive with the woosansang drama(i’ve done a post about this). is that woo and san hang out so much with each other that the other members are jealous. obviously, this has nothing to do with the company. they just genuinely hang around each other because they like each other. we know this to be true because the members explicitly say this and have mentioned before. i also did a post where woo mentioned san at least 5-7 times during a vlive with jongho. 

they literally spent the whole day together guys, like you just don’t spend that much time with somebody you don’t like. there’s a bunch of kpop groups with ships who don’t even hang out in real life. they’re literally hanging out with members you least expect them to be. lmfao. it just shows you that the reality is that most kpop ships are not real. because to me, it’s obvious that they aren’t that close irl and that’s the most important factor here. i wanna talk about some other important moments in the woosansang vlive.

there talking about real circumstances here, and yeosangs grievances with woo, ‘cause he feels sad that yeosang doesn’t hang around him anymore. this happened a few months ago. so don’t worry.

mingi said that this was a private conversation that he had with yeosang, so again these are private matters. just in case you don’t know company’s do not like discord in the group, which is why they freaked out during the recent vlive when mingi didn’t have yeosang’s number even though i don’t even have my siblings number. loool.

this is what yunho said when woo wanted him to go to the bathroom with him, and he was sulky ‘cause he only hung out with san. now let’s move onto how clingy they are. 

let’s start with san’s vlog, yes, i said san’s vlog(side eye’s woo). 

this vlog, that was supposed to be san’s, included moments with woo, more so than the other members. they even ate together, and they often do eat together from what i can tell. woo says he goes out to eat with san to relieve stress. he also called him during that time on vlive with yeosang to go out with him. which is why i thought the call was genuine, because they always seem to eat together. i mean the call wasn’t even on speaker and the fact that woo used aegyo with him is also telling to me. do you think the company sets them on dinner dates to please the fandom? lol. no there are other moments of them clinging and you can find them throughout my other posts. but i just wanted to stress that they’re not clingy for fanservice, they’re this way because they’re naturally close and intimate in real life. i have never seen a kpop ship share this type of intimacy.

here’s another moment, where they went out to eat together, mind you they were asking seonghwa if he was happy to join them as if they were an already married couple. i wanna add the moments here with seonghwa wanting to join woosan, and them being like “no” or “we’ll think” about it, but i’ll leave that for my woosanhwa analysis. 

let’s talk about the fact that they created their own ship name, and them being happy about it because i honestly don’t think that if they were not okay with it and the company was forcing it, they wouldn’t milk it for all it was worth.

let’s talk about the ship name and the thousands of other stuff the’ve come up with. could the company have come up with woosan, possibly, but you can’t convince they sat a round table discussing the thousands of handshakes they’ve come up with. you also can’t convince me that the company made woo go online to find a special meanings for a friend that stays with you forever(amicus ad aras). as i said before the company isn’t as invested as you all may think they are. the second one is literally them introducing themselves as woosan to some poor person recording them. like you can’t tell me that they aren’t proud to be woosan. now i know a lot of people get annoyed on twitter because some fans don’t know how not to mention woo without san when he’s doing a solo live (death stare at those fans). but the thing is it just goes to show that they’re comfortable enough with the ship that people can tell that it’s genuine. are there some moments where they’re uncomfortable sure? but is it the company’s fault. i don’t think so, i think it’s the fans(some shippers) that require them not to be their own person. esp woo. 

the stares, to me, the eyes never lie, and most people realize this, even people who’ve only had a gentle bump into the fandom notice the way the look at each other. even in the recent vlive, but you can tell woo tends to avoid san’s stare. even though woo wants to seem comfortable around san to not make it seem obvious, it’s very obvious that he makes an effort not to. i literally had an online friend that ships vkook ask if they were close during the recent vlive because woo never looked at san. xD lol. which is another strong point i want to make. while there are some moments of woo clinging to san on camera. most of the time he does it off camera. i don’t think the company asked to look like they were in love but here we are. one last thing is...

is their trip to jeju, in which seonghwa coicidentally went as well. now this is a family vacation where all the members went with their respective families. now, a lot of you may not know but during a fansign woosan planned a trip to jeju. seonghwa just happened to be there with his family as well. lol. i wanted to mention this because obv the company doesn’t really have any say in the matter. but also because i mean they’re on vacation together. like do you know how many groups are desperate to be on vacation away from each other? lmfao. like nah woosan planned to go on vacation together. while seonghwa talked a lot about it, woo did not and continued brushing it off which makes me wonder....

Hello, beautiful pea-ple! (Excuse my attempts at being punny 😏) It’s been a while since I shared with you something that I liked/loved/relished to the core so I decided to do a wrap-up of my favorites all taken from the belly of the past month, June. The food category is jam-packed! I definitely had a chance to pig out a lot!

Well, well it’s your girl getting herself just a ‘lil dab of makeup when she gets a hold of them. 

BYS Brow Definition Kit. I knew I had to get one after watching a series of makeup tutorials my school mates had up on their Youtube channels. And this was definitely a good find! I didn’t know what to get because—hello, me! I don't even know what to buy and not to buy *nervous chuckles*. I love how my eyebrows are now much more defined than they were when I was contented with my pencils.

BYS Brow Tint. Now all I wanted was a spoolie and I was running out of time. Then I asked the saleslady and she came up with this. She put some on my brows and I kinda liked the effect so instead of just a spoolie, I got it in a bottle dipped in caramel-y liquid which offers more than just to brush up my brows but to also give it a softened and more retaining look!

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I’ve always wanted to have this book the first time I stumbled upon it on Goodreads. And now that it’s been adapted to a movie already, it made me want to pick it up and start getting lost with it already! I started this book last month and just TODAY I finished it in one sitting where I’d left off. I was at p. 20 when I abandoned it for a while and when the electricity was bitching this morning, I decided to continue my progress. ALL I CAN SAY (non-spoiler) IS THAT I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. I didn’t waste any time. It was so beautiful. 14 out of 10 heart eyes for this one (now I’m being unrealistic, no?). Here’s a synopsis.

Coffee-colored turtleneck. A hand-me-down from my mom’s closet! I got so stoked when my mom passed it onto me. 

Dark blue loose blouse w/ low neckline. My mother asked a tailor to make a blouse for me from scratch with her spare yard of cloth and I’m practically in love with it. *awkward peach emoji says hi*

Chocolatier 2. This was one of my favorite childhood games. I reminisced a little and out of surreal boredom and desperation to make chocolates again, I decided to give it another shot! Still gets me by. 

Chocolatier 3. I hated this before. Although I loved the flashback intro, I hated the gameplay. But I don’t know why I found myself downloading this and trying to tiptoe around the gameplay like I used to. Surprisingly, I fell for the make-your-own recipe feature when you visit the concoctions lab! *whispers* I even named one of my chocolates Matty Healy and the City Lights because it was dark chocolate (Matty's dark soul). And neon pink/electic purple for the currants. 

Choices. GDI THIS GAME IS JUST THE MOST WONDERFUL APP OUT THERE??? *clears throat* Sorry. BUT SERIOUSLY. I legit wanted to cry happy tears when I learned this from @chasingroanne (thanks to her screenshots on Twitter!). You have no idea how much I missed playing interactive games since I stopped playing Episode because it was such a waste of time (poor graphics, cringeworthy storylines; need I say more?). This is like a descendant of those interactive apps Electronic Arts used to have on the App Store called Surviving High School and Cause of Death. All I can tell you now is: go get you a good story, name your character and choose the right person to get all those butterflies in your belly from.

As I’ve said earlier, I did PIG OUT a little too much this month. This summer just doubles my size all the more (hehe). But, food is a necessity am I right? *wink wink*

The Manila Polo Club’s food is the. bomb. dot. com. And the service was spot-on, too! Everything was just so good. Ugh. I went there at the time of my niece’s christening and it was a great experience overall. 

Zark’s Burgers. Y’all have probably heard of this one before! Ugh my stomach was fully loaded after I munched on those nachos, bacon & cheese fries and their best-selling cream cheese burger with jalapenos! Love love loooove.

Wada’s Pizzeria. So this one’s a little pizzeria nearby and my sister and I LOVE spontaneously booping out of nowhere there when we hanker for pizza. The funny story is when we booped off to their store that afternoon, they didn’t have any boxes for the pizzas so instead, they lent to us their ceramic plates and a pan with the pizza Cling wrapped on top. Even though they have their quirks, their thin crust is still one of the best things I’ve ever had.

Calbee fruit granola. My dad brought this home from Japan and it instantly became my favorite breakfast food ever! Just getting a whiff of it makes me insanely happy.  

Milkis. I could get drunk just by slurping on this yogurt soda all day, really (lol exaggerated lvl 10000). Also, I love both flavors equally!

Trial & Error. I haven’t finished watching the rest of season 1 yet but I can already tell how I’d laugh a ton more because of ep 1! It’s basically about a lawyer name Josh Segal who gets sent out of the urban jungle by his boss to represent the case of a man accused of being the perpetrator in his wife’s murder. I know that sounds pretty serious business right there. But the characters are hilarious (the people in the small town Josh moved into are crazy. Well, a little too crazy.) You’ll love it too. We Bare Bears. Well I’m not really much of a cartoon-watcher anymore since the absence of Nickelodeon when we moved out of our old home. But ever since I found that video of the three bears walking their Korean friend home and Ice Bear greeting the mom annyeong-haseyo, I just thought that it was too adorable to miss out. As much as I can this past month, I try to catch this show every morning right after I’d woken up.

Masterchef US (S8). Been a fan of Gordon Ramsay for life! I’m definitely plunging into this new season because of the drama (yep) and of course the new challenges and the FOOD (always). As of the moment, my favorite home cook is Brien O’brien. You go watch with me, too. I always wait for newer episodes every week. I’ve never been so impatient haha

Porcelain Skin by Captain Dipper and the Strawberry Girl. This one just sets the bar higher for anyone looking for calm, relaxing—and probably at the same time tells a story of love—songs. Girl Interrupted (dir. James Mangold). Now I don’t see a lot of films unraveling the truth about mental illnesses. How it affects the people around you, the things you’ve gotten accustomed to in your life and you firsthand. It’s a tragically appropriate representation of what it’s like: having those feelings, those thoughts, those reflexes that somehow mistakenly brands us definitions we place on plaque cards on our foreheads. This was a terribly moving film and you should watch it.
