- this episode shows the power imbalance between Kirk and Janice and that messaging could be more powerful if they really wanted. Like showing how Janice felt forced to say she was okay with it and wouldn’t tell anyone because it was the captain I feel was a big step to take in the 60s (because it was rarely if ever talked about especially on tv) but it still wasn’t enough and was treated horribly in the end. They brush off her experience and also let Kirk be near her which is not okay. I know they wouldn’t but I wish they’d actually addressed the fact that Kirk can pretty much get away with anything and the crew wouldn’t/couldn’t stop him unless they deem it truly necessary (which would be way to far)

- I think the Kirk stuff could be more impactful

- some of those close ups on Kirk are crazy

- Bones is so damn worried about him in the transporter room

- SPOCK IS STRESSED AND HE HESITATES

A long-ass testimonial as a player of Honkai: Star Rail. please read if you have the time. I wish all honkai content creators would bear to understand this

goin through exhaustion rn but thats just normal and not something id complain about. Anyways when this game released in summer 2023, I was just as hyped as everybody else. I had started playing since the last closed beta where I had gotten bailu and mained qingque cuz she felt so real for being lazy on the job plus i LOVED playing hard and winning big.

I had a fun time later when the game ACTUALLY did release though I had to say goodbye to my bailu who I replaced with Clara and mained Seele who I knew from playing Honkai Impact for quite a while. I felt like i fit in with every other HI3/HSR player, running high spd seele with bronya and taking my silver wolf to every Simulated Universe fight, and laughing about getting rolled by the blue gorilla that hates when people use skills. I laughed at the launch memes everyone else was laughing at and usually was the first person to beat new bosses fights and stories when they came out.

I've realized that just because you think you fit in with people, doesn't mean they'll act like you do fit. They watch you trip, and struggle, and when the thing you like starts slinging venom at you, they let you fall. They laugh when you get hurt and protect what hurt you. Now when I started this game, as a black guy I was aware dumb, racist things were gonna pop up, as we know with genshin impact with the whole ass glass bottle floating around calling desert explorers/fighters "sand-lickers", and Honkai Impact's one black character being one who hates her dark skin and bleaches it consistently with makeup. She's also the only character to never get special outfit effects. Naturally, I did not bat an eye at the dark skin lightning guy having the SHACKLE BREAKER and SWIFT HARVEST SKILLS.

as we may know im a lore guy who thinks a lot. there is no "character reference" or wordplay that holds up here. This is dumb associations made to dark skinned individuals for doing slave work(harvesting.) and being held in chains(shackle). Anyways somehow even though this eluded me, I found it odd that the one dark skinned character in the roster was the bad one. People would make all kinds of excuses but never show anything concrete. Arlan himself is lacking the skill point mechanic which literally bars him from an entire simulated universe path. see my notes on him here . Point is this got worse as time went on, to a point where this fan that was still crazy hyped after the Xianzhou arc hype was watching every promotional video for the next region. Penacony, and got hit with the revelation that their next region was going to be based on the Jazz Age. Jazz is known throughout the world as one of the most widely celebrated creations of black people for the rest of the world, and the soul of Jazz, Funk, Pop, and many other types of music rest in black history, black stories, and black emotions. I'd rather not revisit the complete amalgation of this soul that is that dumb fucking region with the slave master and the incel-heaven slur slinger invading the quantum meta, but I should still add that the story is an incredibly half-assed take at introducing evil concepts like slavery and trying to add nuance to them. I played through so many routes where there was some implication of slavery benefitting a future society, and there was this one awful point i had to check out at where the player uses CLOCKWORK TO FIX THE MIND OF A DISCONTENT FREED SLAVE SO THEY SEEK THEIR MASTER AGAIN. There is no "makes sense in context" or "theres lore behind this" because that should be taken at face value. Their disgusting apparition of the Jazz Age should not be justified and glorified the way it is today. I believe in protecting the history of those who paved the way for me and I also would like to believe that I shouldn't have to fight to not deal with mockery within games or shows I enjoy. This whole experience I've had has tainted this game for me. I was listening through my fighting game playlist earlier and WHITE NIGHT came on. The first time I had heard it I thought it was amazing and wanted to make a cover of it and enter the 2024 fan art contest. But when I heard it for the most recent time, I wanted to vomit. This 'fun party' song was empty and felt like it was slinging lies of joy and entropy in my face. I couldn't celebrate the media that glorified excusing my people from society. And I really don't get WHY everyone else does. As somebody whose played a lot of mainstream games I've seen a crowd that acts woke to social issues and seemed to stand up in the face of injustice. I don't KNOW any internet culture so i thought activist = good person. recently ive seen and interacted with a lot of "activists" that were willing to watch this billion dollar company perpetuate racism, stereotypes and appropriation. This is usually because the company had given them a "complex" png with "emotions" that was "coded" to be made for them. and their character's emotions outrank real people's emotions in their interactions. these activists were more likely to listen to the billion dollar company's machinations of a white girl fairy princess or whatever their latest obsession was, than real people.

its been tiring and its been sickening. excuse me for being too real for a second but I AM SICK AND TIRED OF MENTALLY ILL WHITE PEOPLE ONLINE TELLING ME RACISM IS A CHARACTER TRAIT OR SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE RIGHT, OR SOMETHING THAT SPICES UP A NARRATIVE. Okay so I hadn't watched this interview since it came out and it's easy to say that the cultists are blowing it out of proportion as usual.

The interviewer ask him whose the best to party with and how long it's been since he's partied with the members. Which stumps him because bts collectively haven’t gotten together much since chapter 2 started.

He's talking about how he got proper time to actually hang out with a member after a while during the shoot for the travel show. Which checks out. Both jimin and jungkook have had incredibly busy schedules during 2023. They obviously had met during that time, we have literal proof of it, and more so jungkook has also hung out with tae (you know the other half of the ship the same people making these accusations belong to) and they went to literal after parties together.

But for jungkook it doesn’t account as the type of hang outs bangtan were Familiar with doing back before the solo eras started, you know the kind of unsolicited time they used to get before, especially jikook. Both of them clearly missed the exorbitant amount of time they used to spend with each other. If we observe jks 'I miss you too' live or jms pouty 'jk hasn't made me ramen yet' comments. So yeah, jikook probably were meeting a lot lesser last year and it's not a huge deal to admit that. Because their reaction to that time apart is very telling of their feelings for each other, than anything else we had seen till then.

I can't be super precise because I love a lot of characters and don't want to hurt their feelings, but here's who comes to mind. In no particular order:

1. Uncle Iroh from Avatar: the Last Airbender. He's the only one I'm actually definitively saying is in a ranking. He's the best one. I love how unfailingly kind and loving he is, and that he demonstrates the beautiful ability to be silly and simply happy despite all the tragedy he's seen. Of course I also love almost every other character in the show, too, but Iroh is Best.

2. Elodin from The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss: This man is insane. He is eccentric and opinionated and owns it. He does not give half a fuck what people think of him and cares very, very much about everything else in the world. I want to know everything he knows. He is a trickster god I think.

3. The Cthaeh from The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss: Same book series as Elodin but god they both deserve their own mentions since the Cthaeh is on another fuckin level from literally everything. No spoilers, but this thing is the absolute coolest monster concept I have ever seen in any form of media.

4. Makenna from The Goblin Wood by Hilari Bell: This was my favorite book as a kid. Makenna is a badass hedgewitch who befriends a goblin named Cogswhallop. She's violently anti-colonialism and definitely a communist. I literally want to name my kid after her. Write characters like Makenna.

5. Boromir from The Lord of the Rings, mostly referring to the Peter Jackson films because FotR is my favorite movie: I love him. I love him I love him. He was the Best Of Men, and everyone else in the Fellowship was some kind of magic so he was the only one who fell victim to the Ring's sway, but he never stopped being a good man with a noble heart.

6. Hua Cheng from Heaven Official's Blessing by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu: God. I love this author and maintain that she's a genius, and I love so many of her characters, but Hua Cheng gets the first honorable mention because he is The Most Unhinged. All my mxtx favorites are unhinged tbh, but Hua Cheng is on another level. He's made a hobby out of self-sacrifice and makes stalking look tragically romantic. He vacillates between sweet, heart-wrenching adoration for one (1) person and top-tier vicious snarkiness for literally anyone else. He is a force of darkness and a shy baby.

7. Zevran from Dragon Age: My favorite game series. My guy. He tries very, very hard to make you think he doesn't have depth but he's actually just a mastermind at deflection and his heart is behind like eighteen million locked doors. He's cheerful! He's not. He's deeply depressed and his loyalty shows up LOUD when you're not emotionally prepared for it. He's possibly the most devoted companion character in the game.

8. Cole from Dragon Age: He is my son. My treasured baby boy. He loves you. I read Asunder before Inquisition came out so girl I shrieked when he was announced as a featuring character.

9. Nezumi from No. 6 by Atsuko Asano: He's a dick. Pretentious deuteragonist goth boyfriend who quotes classical Western poetry, thinks violence is funny until he sees his Soft, Sweet protagonist engage in it, and commands swarms of bees. His dream is to overthrow the dystopian government.

10. Liu Jianghe from Saved the Public Enemy by Mistake by Liu Muqiao: I'm obsessed with this one lately. Shamelessly promoting this manhua on the Bilibili app. He's my profile icon rn. Unhinged. marco reus is one of those goated goated goated drivers maybe we'll say he's like a lifelong ferrari fan like he is bvb and he signs to their academy and does well in junior series and spends the odd season at sauber/alfa and when he gets to ferrari everyone's like oh shit here we go and then the car is absolute CRAP but he simply wont abandon ferrari. like he's there forever he's the ride or die for that stupid team and instead of injuries we'll say it's constant DNFs and so he never wins a championship but he's hands down one of the biggest what if drivers. he's also so kind to younger drivers and if he can guide them in any way to make sensible contract decisions and help them mentally not pin everything on winning championships then he will.

like i hate ferrari but dare i say then here comes jude bellingham starboy?..... no i shall. he wins f3 and f2 as rookies at a super duper young age (rather than skipping junior categories like a certain dutchman) and ends up in the sauber by the time he's 17, in the ferrari by 18 and teammates with marco. if the ferrari garage was competent and the car wasn't a pile shit it'd be embarrassing for other teams... sadly that isn't the case. they make the best out of a bad situation and the genuine talent both of them possess drags that team to places it shouldn't be. marco is coming to the end but still got it and while still competitive he'll retire before he has to find a lower team. very much a mentor to jude as he progresses in as much as you can be in an individualistic yet team based sport. think we still see jude's temper sometimes flare up though over his career he deffo gets a hold of it and he deffo calls his engineer fucking shit at one point for a bad strategy but i also think he's not content to stick with ferrari if they're going to be rolling the circus into town every week and unlike marco WOULD jump to merc if they suddenly started outperforming (anyway this got too close to real life so let's leave that there)

conor coady and tyrone mings are absolutely engineers and they work on the same team just managing a driver each and the social media/marketing team is constantly bullied into releasing footage with them after people clock they're not only fit but also good mates. so it'll be a video with drivers being silly and then INSTANTLY the exact same video concept but with those two.

jordan pickford either engineer or deranged team principle that is good at his job but also calls someone the c word over the radio and causes the PR team a sleepless week trying to deal with it.

The second book, Two For Joy, is kind of heartbreaking. It was in Romeo's pov and in book 1, which is Chad's pov, I don't really love it. I Mena I love the characters and the plot but I don't actually root for them, but this book totally change them.

I think it's because being in Chad's head is different from Romeo. Chad basically hates himself and has a lot of inner turmoil so being in his head, we see him as he sees himself so I don't quite love him. And Chad sees Romeo but there was a lot of justifying and hatred in the way he sees him too so it's hard to completely root both of them.

But Romeo's pov is so different. I LOVE Chad in this book because Romeo adores Chad. He looks at Chad and sees all of his goods and just painted him in the way that makes it so easy to fall in love with him because that what happened to Romeo. He fell for Chad and is still falling and now I'm falling in love with Chad. And unlike Chad, Romeo was confident of who he was. He knows he's a killer. He knows he's a monster and the walk on the memory lane from his past is not an attempt to explain why he is the way he is and justified what he did, but just a chance for us to see where it all started and I love that.

The first part of the book I was totally giggling and blushing because they're just so sweet to each other. Totally married, domestical vibe even in a jail cell lmao. And they're so funny too, I just love them. But the second half got me STRESSING. I was begging, on my knees for everyone to LEAVE MY BABY GIRL CHAD ALONE. Everyone is turning on him and I'm so pissed at everyone because Chad is literally a messy, pathetic, and depressed, cinnamon roll who deserves the warmest, most fluffy hug EVER. The only person who's agreeing with me is Romeo and Zac 😭. I was really wishing Romeo somehow escaped that jail and murder everyone for even making Chad frown.

(I warned you before didn't I? being in Romeo's pov really makes me fall in love with Chad. I'm basically his mother now and he's a stray kitten I found.)

It's kind of sad seeing how Chad and Romeo's connection with Magpie is being twisted and manipulated by the media and that copycat. It was a pure symbol between the two of them, not for these people to ruin it 😭.

Anyway, my heart goes out for Chad. He literally deserves an apology from everyone. EVER SINCE BOOK 1 I'm telling you. Even though I wasn't in love with him at that time, even I know how much the people around him are screwing with him.

Bc what do you mean your fiance sold your classified information for money, your bestie sneaks behind your back to get a promotion you repeatedly said you want, you get shamed by your coworkers for leaving because you've nearly had a panic attack watching you DI in hospital AND you get depromoted into desk duty because of one accident (happens when he almost have the said panic attack). let me tell you about the ED dramatized story of my lunch today HAHAHA

roti egg roll with some green pea hummus and cucumbers. a bowl of vanilla Greek yogurt, with a chopped mango and half a banana, topped with chia seeds and hemp hearts.

roti egg rolls are a quickie snack/lunch my mother would make me as a kid and I always loved them. contrary to how my mother would serve them to - kinda oily and with nothing in between, I've turned this into a minimal oil roll with raw veg and hummus of the fortnight, and it gives me happy bubbles in my brain thinking of the microbiome diversity this promotes in my gut. mango season is in full swing and I've been savouring them - unripe and ripe, plain chunks or in smoothies. this vanilla Greek yogurt is my favourite yogurt snack to buy, and sprinkling those chia seeds and hemp hearts fills me with so much joy because a. i'm a sucker for aesthetics and b. protein, fiber, omega fats yes pls! I was genuinely so happy putting together this plate for myself, I was quite literally buzzing with happiness at ooo look at the number of raw fruit, veg and seeds on my plate and omg this is such a nutritious meal.

just as I was licking the last bit of Greek yogurt off my spoon, my diet culture brain (who can spout the calories of most common Indian foods in her sleep by this point) starting adding up all the calories I'd just sent down my food pipe. i did try to stop - i told myself look, i'm just perfect full. i'm so happy with how nutritious my meal was. i'm happy i ate a bunch of food i enjoy. - but the math went on anyway, and I realised I'd just eaten a 650 calorie lunch which um let me tell you, for someone who's been on a 1200-1400 kcal diet for years now - is basically double the calories you can afford to spend on one meal.

the guilt, the shame, the voice in my head telling me rn that I'm an incorrigible monster, who feels "pleasantly full" after 650 kcal of a nutrient dense meal like ffs this isn't even chips we're talking about, the hopeless self loathe seeping through every pore of my multiple fat rolls bearing self right now must sound incredibly dramatic and possibly stupid to most people

but it's real. and i am so tired of this being my reality. I am so tired of feeling like such a despicable person and not knowing how to even begin fixing it.

february felt like three months stacked on top of each other. i'm very behind on everything. we continue to post regardless.

general overview

i haven't been in much of a graps mood as of late! probably due to a combination of winter blues and a lot of the promotions i try to keep up with not having the Greatest booking rn. i've managed to catch 41 matches this month, with a little over half of them being matches that took place this month. most of it's been noah; vctl's been fun. really strong selection of teams, i'm at least a little interested in every matchup. speaking of noah...

on a more legitimate note, i went back and watched a few of their prior matchups beforehand and it was interesting to see the stylistic changes over the past decade; harashima's offense against sakaguchi moved from having moments of "if you're within grappling distance you're also within Get Picked Up And Slammed distance" to being mostly mat-based. makes complete sense, just something that stuck out to me.

yuma anzai vs kaito kiyomiya (ntv 70th anniversary show, february 9th)

while anzai is definitely a star-in-the-making, kiyomiya just Has It, man. big ace energy. fun match, interested in potentially seeing this matchup again sometime in the future; it'll be interesting to see how they both grow from here.

orange cassidy vs matt taven (aew, february 14th)

while this wasn't particularly memorable in the grand scheme of things (it's only been about two weeks since it took place and i already went "oh yeah, that was this month, huh" when i saw the listing), it at least gets a mention for being a match i expected fucking nothing from and got Something out of. not anything special or outstanding, but Something!

hokuto omori vs katsuhiko nakajima (ajpw, february 23rd)

literally no one has benefited from a perm more than hokuto omori. i know keeping it straight is probably easier/healthier on his hair, but it just isn't it!

just a top-to-bottom solid match. excellently structured, everyone looked stellar. i say this every time i watch ddt, but i should really watch more ddt.

okay, I have couple of things to say regarding all the panic currently in BYLERNATION. (my thoughts are chaotic right now as I am fuming as well you guys so this might sound all messy but hear me out and let me know if you guys agree)

1. Don’t put too much thought into something Noah or Millie says, I have two reasons for that A) Millie has always supported Mileven, She ( sorry to say ) has been biased and it’s fine by me since she is half of that ship. She was apparently also the one to suggested for Mileven kiss at the snowball. Also, she has been quiet during the interviews only talking about her solo plotline and mileven at the beginning of vol1 B) Noah is the biggest spoiler of the series, he literally posted a picture with harness I mean c’mon, also he ships byler we all have seen it. 

2. Noah has to stay ambiguous as that is his character arc this season (as sad as that is, I really hoped he had some bigger plotline since his character is secretive and have powers or something) , and his feelings might be like a big reveal in vol2 ending (vecna curse or something). Maybe they are just trying to keep the suspense

3. WHAT OTHER REASON do they have for NOT putting Finn and Noah in the interviews together. They have one fucking interview together. ONE. And that too with Millie of all the people with them. They could have easily put them together with the other two cali boys. They didn’t. Why? IF Byler is not real, just a bromance then WHY DIDN”T THEY NOT PUT 4 BOYS Together in the interviews, not a single interview. That seems purposeful, since we see 4 of them together for the entire season. 

4. The actors behaviors, In David’s interview everyone is giggling and smiling especially Finn. SO they are happy about Will’s feelings for Mike? Finn’s comments on Byler, its been confused, nonchalant and downright clueless, just like his character. But his comments about Will’s loves for Mike “its beautiful”.  

5. Noah and Finn shipping Byler so casually and easily. Why do that if there is no possibility? Why doesn’t Finn talk more about mileven and how he ships it and be happy about? I have seen his interviews and man he doesn’t look a tiny bit happy when talking or promoting Mileven. I mean, you can be a little bit enthusiastic. BUT he is giggling about Will’s attraction towards Mike ? Make it make sense.  + bonus him discussing mileven’s future, whether they are together or seperated ???

Annddd I forgot the part, “um.. yeah, the ship name” the fuck! 

6. Now character wise - If Mike’s whole ass problem is not able to say I love you to El then A) That is so fucking dumb lol, that’s the plot for Mike? I would laugh at this point. B) there is zero logic for Mike to be confused because -

 its not like El is not his girlfriend and just his friend for him to be afraid. 

Its not like he didn’t say I love you before. And as if he doesn’t know whether  she loves him or not. 

IF I have a boyfriend, we are together, he says I love you to me daily and wants me to say I love you back which mind you, I have already said once, then I am atleast confident that I am not going to be rejected and I should be able to say it back. Even if I am not able to,  our conversations would be way different than the once they have in the series, they could have their conversations explicitly and in many other ways. I would assume the writers do know their English lol 

5. To emphasis how illogical this is, let’s say he is scared of falling in love and saying I love you then SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME FOLLOWING THINGS

 a) why Mike never utters the word ‘love’ during their argument, like why say “i say it” instead of “I love you or ofcourse I love you or you know I do”. And also why say “I care” (my mind is blank rn, I can’t come up with other phrasings but you get my point)

b) what is he so fucking confused about when all he did last season is assert to everyone around them how he is in a relationship, how he has girlfriend , how he LOVES her, how nothing should happen to her not to mention all the making out. I mean, what are you confused about and what exactly are you trying to figure out ???? what is this problem you can’t discuss with anyone, not your sister or your mother or your friends? 

c) Why ignore Will? Why lash out on him and emphasis on being friends? Mike doesn’t have an idea about Will’s feelings, so he is not being homophobic. Why not hug him? Mike doesn’t have any problem hugging Dustin. Why not Will? If you missed him so much and felt like you lost him, you would have hugged him when you reunited with him. Why not do that? Why so much awkwardness that even casual viewers picked up on it. 

6. Even though Will’s character is hinted to be queer since season 1. Most and I mean MOST of the Byler proofs are from Mike’s side [ Will’s drawings all over his rooms, Tracing Will’s drawing while mourning his death, frantically looking for Will without care for your own life, the entire season 2, all the staring, lip glances, that Byler fight, season 3 end with that smile on Mike’s face ] ITS TOO FUCKING MUCH FOR IT TO BE NOTHING. 

7. If they wanted to queerbait us or just talk about Will being unusual and his sexuality “up for interpretation” or let’s say even “Byler unrequited” then they could have easily done it in one season, like Maya Hawke’s character Robin. She comes out and that’s it, nothing changes other than Steve doesn’t have a girlfriend. 

Will has a crush, Enter Mileven, Will is crushed and moves on. They add that point to Will’s character and then that’s it move on with the story. 

Why stretch it out so much ? Invest so much time and effort into clues, that includes everything from the costume colors, to the props, dialogue phrasings, eye contacts and character placement.  The entire Byler interactions could have easily been done differently without changing the storyline at all. 

 But they don’t. They put all this work.

Not to mention all the social media posts about Byler from official accounts nonetheless. 

8.  And if you’ve not seen my last post. Levy has said “There aren’t many accidents on the show” “There is clear intention, strategy and real thought given to each and every character” Now if they are saying this, that means ALL THOSE DETAILS were intentional, whatever they did with Byler this season is intentional. 9. Going for Mileven Endgame would be straight up fan service because their entire relationship doesn’t make sense to me at all. And with the way its falling apart since season 3. Also, Byler has more history and chemistry tbh

I believe we are going to have all sorts of leaks and confusion for the next month. Remember, they have to keep the buzz for the show going so that people actually watch the next 2 episodes. All the shippers watch the show. They need to keep the hype alive and for people to keep talking about it. Industry(All shows) has employees that track social media. So don’t let this affect your mental health. 

And if all the leaks are true then they are just coward, just bad writing (there is no other explanation) who are focusing on the business rather than the story, Or maybe Byler is not that important to them in terms of the entire story which again doesn’t make sense since all the demons, upside down have been many times compared to real life growing up issues.

I doubt that kyoani would choose to deliberately end this franchise that’s become such a big, important thing in a bad/ underwhelming way. In a way that disappoints us all. I mean, they clearly learned from S3, right? Or do you think they’ll choose to end it in a loose/bad end just for shock value? Like genuinely, I want to believe they’ll stick to the friendship/love premise that’s been the core of free! since forever. Do you believe they will solve this in a satisfactory way? What would be the worst outcome? How can they solve this without going bl? Will they solve it half-heartedly??? Will they meet out expectations?? Will they let us down??? I’ve been going crazy for the past days trying to come up with ANSWERS but is there a way to know?🥲

Nah, I don't think it's possible for them to end it in a bad or unsatisfying way. Each rinharu angsty bomb at the end always follows up with even more intense happy ending one like 1x12 and 2x12. It's how they go. And the new angst bomb is a result of combination of all rinharu angst throuhout the whole story since the very beginning, so I can't tell how excited I am about the next movie O_O

I honestly don't ever remember any conflict in free resolving in unsatisfying way ever. We don't like s3 bc Ikuya's storyline was a repetitive soup and bc because of this we just didn't move anywhere plotwise and thus everyone was mad, but it once again didn't harm rinharu in any way. We also weren't used to this kind of plot distribution you see. Apparently Hiyori's words, opening credits with Rin leaving and Haru on the rails, Haru being so upset after Rin jumping in like "yo" and his whole reaction that was all them planting more seeds for the main rinharu boom-boom that this movie ended with and the resolve you'll see in the next one. So they're just using rinharu as a carrot here.

Literally everything what was happening rn, I was expecting in s3, bc of the opening too, when they showed him hurting over Rin leaving and Haru's eyes lit up and he destroyed the pool.

That was when and why I wrote this scene in the first place, bc I thought he would yell at him about leaving and coming back without a word in 3x10, but you see I underrestimated his control xD. It's just so funny bc I remeber how I was grasping on straws after everyone was upset about 3x10, I wrote an analisys of this scene right after the episode, how he's just tired of him leaving and then jumping in like no biggie, thats why he looks so upset and angry in that scene:

and I just trashed them by saying that "if I wrote fanfiction, I would suggest this reason for him being so upset, but thats not gonna happen with writers like this". And turns out they planned the fafiction all along lmaaooooo (I'm real sorry, free creators, I'm sorry)

I then wrote "He just doesn’t want to soften up in case Rin leaves again… shut up, let me dream." and made this vid LOL SCORE.

I suggest to look at it like 3x01, 3x03, 3x09-3x12 is the first five episodes of the season, the first movie is the usual mess thats happening from ep 6 to 9 or smth and the finale is gonna be the second part of the movie. But kudos to them for the fact, that they indeed planned it all along, I just thought that my theory in s3 was too fanfiction-y and that was just my rinharu crazed brain, but then again they always were the best fanfiction, so I don't even know why I'm so surprised. It's just really funny that it was indeed exactly that.

So my point is, if that was really their intention all along, since its the only reason s3 opening along with everything that was happening makes true sense, then I have no doubt it's gonna come together very nicely at the end. I mean, all elements are in place, there's a reason sakura doesn't bloom now and we're there again, the set up is perfect, you can hardly back out from what Haru said now and it's just Rin related, not about friends or swimming really. As for bl or not, I mean, to me it always was their love story even without this label. I don't think they'll make them kiss or anything, but they always write them so good that they give me the amount of feels that most bl won't give me. I'm pretty sure Haru hugging him paralleled to s1 finale and blooming sakura will be included as for the rest, I have my wild scenarios ready, yes. But my point is I don't think they'd disappoint us, no.

I just honestly think they should've either wait and put this all in one season or make Ikuya story separetely, bc the way s3 was was like if s1 ended with ep5 or smth. We're just used to our usual emotional rinharu drama, emotional rinharu resolve during the season that we didn't quite get wtf was s3 haha. I just remember how we didn't get why Hiyori thing wasn't adressed and what is even going on and why Haru is like that during the reunion and what opening has to do with anything if he didn't have any outburst. Here it is. Why they split it like this idk. Worst decision ever. I mean, ppl were sooooooooo mad.

Now, I know I've already done an energy check up on yoon but I wanted to see how he was doing now that he's gotten his shoulder surgery!
