I just want it known that sydney adamu is a person. a human. with human feelings which now more than ever will be annoyed. angry. frustrated. regretful. and she has every reason to be. she shouldn’t need to be defended with every argument as to why she is allowed this room for her feelings. what she is, is a human, not the obedient little girl so many people seem to think she should be. where as her white male counterparts can scream and yell and nearly tear the place apart, she can’t even be mad about it without being called “annoying” or “ungrateful”. she may scream for the first time. she may yell. she may decide that she’s fucking over it and she may have to be convinced this is still worth her time. carmy may have to fucking convince her that HE is worth her time. she cares about him, and about every other person in that damn restaurant but that doesn’t mean she has to smile about it 24/7. I don’t want to fucking hear your stupid reasons as to why a young black woman isn’t allowed to be overwhelmed into making decisions you might not personally make. literally shut the fuck up.

It's really fascinating, and really fucking annoying, how Sydcarmy as a ship is othered. Because everyone accepts Carmy and Claire dating like it's a normal, intrinsic part of the story but when others want him and Sydney, all of a sudden it's "The Bear isn't about romance, it's not the genre so stop pushing it". So Carmy can date Claire just fucking fine, everybody else can date just fine, and it has absolutely no effect on the genre(s) of the show, but if it's him and Sydney, the show is somehow going to turn into Bridgerton 🤨

god i love people watching breaking bad for the first time and being blown away by aaron paul as jesse. like u can go in knowing Everything, knowing about the awards and acclaim and posts and scenes, but nothing can prepare u for the actual experience of seeing a completely real, fully fleshed-out person spring out of that actor's forehead fully formed. aaron paul would go on set, absolutely body scenes like no one else has before, and then leave like "ahaha idk man i just do it, ive never done an acting class i just fucking do the acting". its unbelievable.

Watching The Bear is like... What if everyone loved you? What if they loved you so fucking much and what if you did right by them? What if you and your best friend took all your traumas and mixed them together and decided no-one else should go through that shit to be meaningful in your world? What if you fucked up and then got to take a breath and clean up and apologize? What if they gave you a chance and then helped you back up when you fell and you got to come through for them, over and over and over? Wouldn't that be so nice?
