Max sipped at the strawberry milkshake, flavor rich and consistency thick as he struggled just a bit to get it through the straw. It even had small chunks of real strawberry bits - putting his teeth to work like he always loved to. Pulling away from the straw, he looked up at Sam with a newly invigorated pep in his step, "Y'know, I was half worried they woulda' changed the recipe or something, but this tastes just like it did when we were younger!"

Sam smiled, "Yeah? Would hate to think what you would've done had it not."

"Probably bite you. But lovingly - you understand."

"A perspicuous statement." He gently rocked the bag that held their cake, plastic crinkling. "Think this'll live up to expectations too? Honey cake for my lovely funny bunny?"

Max shamelessly mocked him under his breath, shaking his head and returning his mouth to the straw to chew on the end. "You're really gettin' a kick outta' this whole thing, huh, Sammy?"

"S'at bother you?"

"Nah, whatever gets you to smile. I'll call us even today."

Sam laughed, placing a hand on the lagomorph's head for a quick pat. "Sure thing, little buddy."

Would you ever write a sort of fix-it fic with Laena and Daemon? Maybe one where she doesn’t die? Where she and her Daemon go literally anywhere with their daughters so long as their happy? Or really just anything Laena Velaryon related because the show did her so dirty it still pisses me off. Love your writing btw.

Yes, I have. At a certain point, I probably will write a fix-it fic for her where she lives and she and Daemon work through their problems(he actually succeeds at being a not-crappy husband and father)☺️

Laena’s story was tragic in the books, but they absolutely decimated her character arc and her relationship with Daemon in the show. They actively chose to make her into some unloved woman who offs herself(after they changed her race 🙃)and that is 🫠Her death scene still traumatizes me🤦🏽‍♀️
