mods, can we agree on a tagging system? i think it'd make replying to asks wayy easier. maybe chafacter/mod tags, then all the sorting tags perhaps. we do gotta discuss this tho,

could we do like a specific character tag + then a mod tag? i know people frequently get upset over askblogs taking over tags, plus it'd make it so we can respond faster

Listen, I think we ALL know that sometimes people fake illnesses or disorders on the internet. Like, we're not stupid. The issue is that fake claiming is a horrendous waste of time and, even when the target is faking, often spreads TONS of misinformation.

For example, whenever someone is suspected of faking tourette syndrome, they often find examples of them going long periods of time without ticking . . . but that's . . . normal? There's a lot of factors that can affect how often people tic, but some people can actually teach themselves to suppress tics, so they can go without ticking for a decent amount of time. It can be exhausting or circumstantial, but it can be done.

Some people also go long stretches of time without their tourettes acting up as much, because things like stress, focus, anxiety, and even temperature can change how often someone tics.

So when people try to fake claim someone, they often do so using logic that isn't even applicable. So, when those people confirm faking, it makes people believe in those misconceptions, which hurts the communities a lot more than some guy pretending to have a condition and everyone ignoring their fake content, like they should be doing instead of feeding their publicity with speculation and discourse.
