Hi, hello, konnichiwa, all that jazz. My name is Riley, but you can give me any nicknames or anything as long as I am fine with it after you use it! I write fanfiction mostly, but I'll write some stuff that isn't if you wanted me to.

I am going through a gender crisis, but I'm going as gender fluid for now. I'm using they/them as of now/today, I'll change this and other things that say my pronouns when needed

Things to call me: Literally almost ANY pet name, I love pet names :D. You can give me nicknames if you want. If I don't like something you've called me, I will tell you and ask you to please call me something else. Big city comic book superhero/secret identity stuff is so fun. Its funky. It's silly. It's camp. It's also a little angsty. A little bit X-men adjacent. Kids who were born with strange abilities that they have to hide for their own safety but still feeling so disconnected from the people around them and so so different, sneaking out at night to save the city from supervillains, one of whom seems to be a teenager just like them and he's just following orders, man. He's still super annoying tho.

the photos themselves are precious I love love love them reading together in Amity’s hideaway, the fact that King apparently took a pic of them stargazing on Luz’s phone, THAT SELFIE OH MY GOD THEY’RE SO HAPPY. They’re so happy and cute they’re so happy and cute!!!

...that last shot kind of knocks the wind out of me, though. It’s incredibly cute, Camila immediately going for the happy hug, but also. She’s got a grey streak. Amity’s hair is like two inches longer. Time is passing.

resting can be productive. i know it doesn't feel like it cause capitalism and colonialism have conditioned us to see productivity as residing solely within the realm of wealth accumulation, etc. but u need rest, and there's no shame in caring for yourself

in an emergency, moss + pine sap + willow bark can act as a great natural first aid kit. moss (specifically spaghnum moss) is twice as absorbent as cotton bandages, and it has significant antiseptic properties. pine sap is antibacterial and antifungal and can help heal wounds. willow bark reduces inflammation via salicin.

audiobooks! from! the! library! (use libby, hoopla, overdrive, or one of the others. it's a great way to support your local library)
