You know what feeling is even better than when you calculate your music to end perfectly when you get home? When you download a scene pack of a show for an actor you need, and then you find out another actor that you need is in there too

Hi, no, I did not spend almost an hour looking up Lincoln Melcher to see if he was okay because he hasn’t posted in a while on TikTok, instagram, twitter or Facebook, and got distracted by finding out Louisa Melcher on TikTok was his sister. 😊
Anyways here’s a picture of him from four days ago
[At least I think it is 😀‼️, photo can be found in his tagged page on instagram].

Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (2017)
Tumblr media
There’s only one way to prevent yourself from falling into utter, absolute despair while watching Tom and Jerry” Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - the biggest argument against the public domain since Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated. If, for reasons no humans could ever fathom, you take one look at the cover of this wretched excuse for a film and you say “I'm in!”, then please, do it while surrounded by friends who will help tear it apart and ensure that no children are within earshot. There isn’t one second of the 79-minute running time that validates this picture’s existence.
Poor, kind Charlie Bucket (voiced by Lincoln Melcher) lives in a small house with his mother and four grandparents. When legendary candy maker Willy Wonka (JP Karliak) announces he has hidden five golden tickets in his legendary Wonka Bars, and that the children who find them will be allowed access to his mysterious factory, our hero dreams of finding one for himself. Oh, and classic cartoon characters Tom and Jerry (both voiced by Spike Brandt) tag along for the ride when he does.
Step 1: Take a beloved classic like 1971’s Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and force a bunch of passionless overseas animators to copy it scene-for-scene. Step 2: Rob it of all magic or wonder. Step 3: crowbar Tom and Jerry in a way that adds nothing to the plot, but instead robs the story of key scenes by focussing on characters who require no lip-synch. Step 4: Profit by sending this soulless cash grab to negligent parents, aunts, and uncles. The disdain is as thick as stone. There aren’t even any original songs. The closest we get is a slight tweak on Violet Beauregard’s number with the villainous Slugworth (Mick Wingert) adding some new lines… an action that makes no sense once you’ve seen the story’s finale. If this had been an adaptation of… I dunno, Scarface, it would've still been a bad idea, but it might have served some purpose. Children aren’t meant to see the ultra-violent Al Pacino film. There isn’t anyone in the history of the world who should see this blight upon cinema rather than the original.
The people responsible for this catastrophe do not care about children, do not like children and they’re probably the ones who broke into your home last summer to steal all your stuff. They robbed me of my time and money, so I wouldn’t put it past director Spike Brandt to have done it before.
The good news is that if you can forget some people will subject their children to this and watch it as something aimed towards adults, there’s plenty to laugh at. The animation is appalling, with character models hardly ever staying consistent from shot to shot. The lip-synch is ok at best, the movements clunky and unnatural. The facial expressions by Wonka are… wow. It’s like the man’s face is made of uncooked dough. You'll laugh and groan listening to the inane dialogue. Your hands will automatically fly up to plug your ears or perhaps wipe away tears whenever a song in this pathetic excuse for a musical begins playing. Between then, if you can screen-grab successfully, you'll be an internet hero as you churn out one golden meme after another.
In 2017, Mel Stuart's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory entered the public domain. This allowed this film to be made. Many times, I've heard people complain about the Walt Disney Company's iron grip on their films. Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is singlehandedly worth any palm-greasing, bribery, or blackmail the Mouse might've done to ensure the diabolical pair keep their paws off of more beloved children's films. (On DVD, September 15, 2017)

I just got this as an anon and thought you may have fun with it, too: If there were to be another reboot of Carrie and you were able to cast the characters, who would you cast as who?
Okay this took me a hot second becuase i kinda casted like... the entire cast... whoopsies?
And also I don’t know shit about movie actors so I kinda looked up teenage actors and went off of Sporen es so like I’ve never even heard of some of these people lol
Carrie - Fernanda Schoening
Tumblr media
I love her
Sue - Olivia Holt
Tumblr media
Aka the youngest looking blonde actress I could find
Tommy - Lincoln Melcher
Tumblr media
I picked him because he looks like every generic football player at my school
Chris - Merit Leighton
Tumblr media
Idk I saw her and she looked like she would play a good mean girl
Billy - Emjay Anthony
Tumblr media
Lol 80’s “bad boy” hair
Miss Desjardin - Mariska Hargitay
Tumblr media
Okay first of all I was named after her character in Law & Order SVU so I adore her and she would gladly kick a teenage girl’s ass (also I thought It would be kinda interesting to make Miss Desjardin look more similar to Carrie than her actual mom)
Margret - Abby Mueller
Tumblr media
Yep another Jane because they have the vibes ; especially Abby because she just looks like a super religious mom?? Like idk why she just does??
So yea there you go!!

Batman: Gotham By Gaslight takes place at the turn of the century as America’s continued industrial revolution is to be showcased at a World’s Fair hosted by Gotham City. But while the world prepares to witness the glittery glory of Gotham’s technological advances, there is a killer loose in the city’s darkest shadows. Preying on the city’s women, this killer is as precise as he is cruel. As Police Commissioner James Gordon tries to calm the fears of Gotham’s citizens regarding the butcher called Jack the Ripper, the masked vigilante Batman enacts his own detective work – with the help of confident, capable Selina Kyle – to stop the Ripper’s murderous spree. Witness a world in flames as the notorious serial killer’s controlled savagery meets the calculated stealth of the Dark Knight.
Acclaimed for his performance in Batman: Under The Red Hood, Bruce Greenwood (American Crime Story, Star Trek, iRobot) reprises his role as the voice of the Dark Knight in Batman: Gotham By Gaslight. The voice cast also features Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls, Justice League Unlimited) as James Gordon, Anthony Head (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Merlin) as Alfred Pennyworth, Yuri Lowenthal (Batman Unlimited, Young Justice) as Harvey Dent, John DiMaggio (Futurama, Adventure Time) as Chief Bullock, William Salyers (Batman vs. Two-Face) as Hugo Strange, and Grey Griffin (DC Super Hero Girls) as Sister Leslie. The cast also includes notable voice actors Tara Strong, Bob Joles, David Forseth, Chris Cox, Lincoln Melcher and Kari Wuhrer.

Review - Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (2017)
Review – Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (2017)
Welcome to Kid’s Week: Day 7. Last minute addition here, guys. I knew as soon as I saw the trailer to Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory that it was a movie that I was going to have to see…I just had to. Apart from having a really lengthy title, this film recreated the classic film nearly shot for shot…they just added our good friends Tom & Jerry. The real question, however, was…
